Loading Flashpaper SWF in Internet Explorer issue

Hi Guys,
I am stuck up with how to go about getting a FlashPaper
SWF(10 MB in size) to stream in Internet Explorer.
The file shows up only after the download is complete.
It streams in Mozilla and Opera.
Is there a separate plugin that needs to be added to IE for
streaming?
Sample FlashPaper file(10 MB in size) :
http://206.72.242.5/ilrn/books/WL_EBK/WL_EBK/swf/WL_Basico_1.swf

Raja, I found the difference between IE and Firefox.
With IE the FILE_NAME parameter of DOCUMENT_ADD_ATTACHMENT contains the path and in the code of
  PERFORM so_split_file_and_extension IN PROGRAM saplso30
          USING file_name l_only_name l_extension.
there's the test
  if filename ca '/\:'.
    call function 'SO_SPLIT_FILE_AND_PATH'
         exporting
              full_name     = filename
         importing
              stripped_name = file.
  else.
    file = filename.
  endif.
Now, in the 'SO_SPLIT_FILE_AND_PATH' FM there's the creation that fails.
    create object frontend_services.
With Firefox the FILE_NAME parameter of DOCUMENT_ADD_ATTACHMENT doesn't contain the path, so the FM above isn't called and there's no creation of frontend_services.
Very strange! Does SAP know this issue?
Regards,
Angelo

  • New Internet Explorer issue

At my company I create LMS enabled lessons to help clinicians
learn to use patient tracking software. We recently encountered a
small problem that might be encountered by others who use this
forum. I thought I’d post my experience.
The issue began when my company began upgrading computer
terminals with the latest version of Windows XP. The symptoms of
the problem occurred when a web page containing any active content,
such as Flash, QuickTime, etc., displayed via the latest version of
    Internet Explorer.
Here is the sequence of events:
After a page containing active content loaded, the user would
hover a mouse over the (active) content. At that time two curious
things would occur; a gray “bounding box” would appear
around the borders of the active content, and a small message box
would appear saying “Click to activate and use this
control.”. The user would have to click the active content
(to make the message and bounding box disappear). After the message
and bounding box disappeared the active content would function as
    intended.
For me this meant that HTML files where I had Flash embedded
(generated from a Captivate file) would require an initial mouse
click to activate the (Flash) control. (I had many short Flash/HTML
files strung together for form a single lesson. I did this to track
the users progress through the LMS.) Each time a HTML page with
active content loaded the user would have to repeat the mouse
click. This was not a good thing for my lessons.
    After doing a little research I found a Macromedia/Adobe
article that explained what was causing this new quirk and how to
    work around the problem.
Here is a link to that article:
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/activecontent/articles/devletter.html
I thought this might be helpful for any folks encountering
    the same problem.

  • Internet Explorer Issue when ITunes is open

I just installed ITunes and have already downloaded some cds. The problem is, Internet Explorer more or less becomes inactive after I open ITunes. If I open Internet Explorer first, it works fine. Once I open ITunes though, the internet more or less stops working. If I open ITunes first, Internet Explorer never loads. It's not giving me an error message or anything and the page just becomes blank. It's showing as if it is connecting to the website though. Any ideas? I will cry if I can't surf the web while importing all 200 disc I have. Thanks!
      Windows XP

I have this issue since I started using iTunes last year, I keep updating the software but that hasn't helped. Various mswindows systems (2000 + XP, laptops and desktops) with and without being introduced to an iPod.
The basic scenario is that when iTunes is running, at some point the system becomes unresponsive - the windows explorer (complete UI), Lotus Notes, Firefox... it is almost like iTunes is holding a lock on a resource that the others need to redraw their screens.
The only fix I've found is to close iTunes, praying that when I restart it it'll work.
Any suggestions on things to try? Ones like "get the company to switch to a Mac" aren't helpful
    -Simon.

  • Password Manager 4.70, build 2.0 doesn't load username / password into Internet Explorer 11 fields

Password Manager 4.70, build 2.0 will not load usernmane/password data into Internet Explorer 11 fields.
I thought maybe there was an Add-on issue, so I tried to check to see if an Add-on was available by
    Open Internet Explorer
    Click Tools
    Select Manage Add-ons
    Enable Lenovo Password Manager
But there is no Lenovo Password Manager Add-on available. Not sure if that is required, but I am guessing it is.
Any ideas on what I can do to make Password Manager work again?  Version 4.0 worked fine most of the time. Version 4.7 hasn't worked at all.
System info:  X230 Tablet, Windows 7 64 bit.

    Hello
Password Manager4.7 is now not using  IE plug-in or IE extensions.
There is a process name like "pwm_ie_helper_desktop.exe" which is to help to fill password manager for IE.
Did you see this process  running when you opened IE?

  • Internet Explorer issue In Windows 8.1

In IE 11 in Windows 8.1 I found below issue:
     1) I found out that browser cache in Windows 8.1 is stored in “InetCache” folder which is located at C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache. But when this folder is accessed from windows explorer, the contents shown are different from, when
it is accessed through Browser Tools->Internet Options->General->Browsing history->Settings->View files.
     2) Now go to above said path (mentioned in #1 issue)from cmd. Now run dir command we see that it lists out  some files and directory name.Even though we delete everything from C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache by selecting (ctrl+A->shift+delete).
Can anyone help me in knowing why it does not delete everything from folder C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache when we clear all the  item? What is the purpose of the file that is listed out in cmd (like counters.dat, low directory etc)?
3)How this directory can be deleted? When I delete the C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\Low, again it gets created. How we can can delete counters.dat file from INetCache folder. What is the purpose of this dat file.
    4) The issue mentioned In #2 and #3 are also seen in Windows 7.
Please help me in knowing the answer of the above question.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    1) I found out that browser cache in Windows 8.1 is stored in “InetCache” folder which is located at C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache. But when this folder is accessed from windows explorer, the contents shown are different from, when
it is accessed through Browser Tools->Internet Options->General->Browsing history->Settings->View files.
Do you mean that you're unable to find the file path via File Exploerer, some files\folders are hidden and system protected, we need to go to control panel\Folder Options\View, then check Show hidden files & folders option, but also uncheck Hide protected
operating system files/folders option, then you will find the files.
     2) Now go to above said path (mentioned in #1 issue)from cmd. Now run dir command we see that it lists out  some files and directory name.Even though we delete everything from C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache by selecting
(ctrl+A->shift+delete). Can anyone help me in knowing why it does not delete everything from folder C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache when we clear all the  item? What is the purpose of the file that is listed out in cmd (like
    counters.dat, low directory etc)?
3)How this directory can be deleted? When I delete the C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\Low, again it gets created. How we can can delete counters.dat file from INetCache folder. What is the purpose of this dat file.
Regarding to Q2 and 3, I tested this issue, same result as yours, after I delet all the files under the cache folder, but the result of dir is still shown as below:
First the "Low" folder is to cache files when running IE in protected mode. the cache is considered as a virtual folder with the same low privilege as that of the Internet Explorer process itself. Regarding to the counters.dat file, and here is a
    similiar link:
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie10-windows_7/unable-to-delete-countersdat-file/501c7dcc-9df4-4684-8301-d9c4d1ac94ca
since I have confidence that my machine is not get infected, so the.dat file should be a default file, I will do more research and test for the file, will inform you if I got any progress.

  • Opening a .SWF in Internet Explorer as Default

I have a situation in which I have a .swf file. I want the
end users to view the .swf file and not the HTML file because the
.swf can be resized. I have gone into the properties of the .swf
file and set the "Opens With" default to Internet Explorer and then
clicked OK. On my machine it opens just fine in IE right away. The
problem lies when others in my department go to view it and it
opens the "Open With" dialog box for them to select a program. Many
more people will be viewing this, and not all of them are computer
savey, thus not knowing what program to use or why it is asking
them. I would have them use the Flash Player but for some reason
they don't have that. I know for a fact that everyone will have IE.
    Question:
Is there another way to have IE be the default program to
    open the .swf file?
Is there an actionscript in flash to do this?
Is there another way to view a .swf file so it can be
enlarged the size of the screen?
Any Ideas, suggestions, comments are greatly appreciated!
    Thanks in advance,
    Luke

  • I think I have a smaller resolution, Internet Explorer issue

    Hi,
I'm just having a slight issue with the footer on a website I'm doing for a client.
Could those with Internet Explorer please visit the site and tell me if the black footer appears with the 'follow us on facebook' and 'get in touch' links?
    http://www.aimihautau.com/
More info: it appears as though the footer doesn't appear on the home page at all, but appears slightly on all other pages. Can't get my head around it.
Many thanks for any help. It is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Shows up fine on Windows 7/Internet Explorer 8. I do notice, though, that your page is taller than it is wide, and the footer is falling off the screen on every browser I've tried...it does not show up until I scroll down to it. If that is not your intention, you might remove extra space above the menubar and tighten up the rest of the page.

While trying to browse the internet the phone would not navigate to internet links on any page when the "hand" was displayed to select the link, depressing the track button would not navigate to the page.  I pulled the battery and things seemed to work fine for a few pages and then it went back to not responding.  I am browsing in the "internet exploer" and not firefox or blackberry explorer.

    Hey @lori1234 ,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand you're having issues with Internet Explorer on your HP 2000 notebook.
It would help to know exactly which model you have as some 2000 series notebooks are commercial products and aren't my area of expertise. It would be hard to give exact information and the appropriate experts would be on our commercial forums. For information on finding your product and model numbers click here: How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
If you could provide some more info about what isn't working that would be awesome. Is it that IE will not open at all or crashes on startup? Does it open but you are unable to browse? If you cannot browse do you get error messages? Does it only crash on certain sites, viewing certain content, or performing certain tasks? The more information the better.
I would suggest starting with this guide while we await each others responses: What to do when Internet Explorer isn't working.
Let me know if that document helps or the updated information.
Please click the "Kudos, Thumbs Up" at the bottom of this post if you want to say "Thanks" for helping!
Please click "Accept as Solution" if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.

Everything works as it should in Chrome, Firefox and Safari. But with Internet Explorer  8, 9 or even 10 it is making a right mess off the pages.  For some reason text columns appears over images, some png's are missing & and other images are cut in half.   Why is this happening and is there a fix?  I would really like some help from the Muse staff on this.

  • Internet Explorer issues after installing Update KB2955163 on Windows 8

    Dear,
Since we've installed Windows update KB2955163 on Windows 8, we've been experiencing the following issues:
    - After using Internet Explorer for a long while (one hour or longer), some websites won't work properly anymore. For example: list boxes and pop-ups don't appear.
    - After using Internet Explorer for a long while (one hour or longer), employees can't access any external webpages. They receive a message saying the webpage isn't available. Reconfiguring the Proxy-settings will temporarily fix this problem.
*The above problems don't appear on all of our computers running Windows 8.
We've found the only fix for these problems, is to uninstall Windows update KB2955163.
All of our affected systems are running Windows 8 Enterprise x64, and come from various manufacturers (Dell / HP etc.).
Is anyone of you guys familiar with these specific issues regarding Windows update KB2955163?
    Many thanks in advance,
    Thom

    Hi,
Did this issue occur on all computers which installed that update?
In generally, it's not most likely be Windows update cause.
    Let's narrow down the issue:
Have you tried to reset the Internet Explorer to check the result:
1.Close all Internet Explorer windows that are currently open.
2.Open the desktop, and then tap or click the Internet Explorer icon on the taskbar. Changing your settings will affect both Internet Explorer and Internet Explorer for the desktop.
3.Tap or click the Tools button, and then tap or click
    Internet options.
4.Tap or Click the Advanced tab, and then tap or click
    Reset.
5.In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, tap or click Reset.
6.When Internet Explorer finishes applying default settings, tap or click
Close, and then tap or click OK. You'll need to restart your PC for these changes to take effect.
If it persists, perform a clean boot to see if it caused by some third-party software:

  • Fix for Flash Player in Internet Explorer Issue

I've seen quite a few people with this issue and they all
seem to have issues finding the fix...I never found a 100% solution
on Adobe's site, but I found some directions that finally worked.
Basically, if Flash Player refuses to work in Internet

    follow the steps available at
    Fix
Flash Player in Internet Explorer .
It's basically a mashup of various directions available on
Adobe & Microsoft's websites with links to all the files that
you will need to download. Hopefully Adobe can use the list to
    create a fix that works.

    Hopefully this FAQ will help:

  • Weird Internet Explorer Issue: Elements not in place after going live

Has anyone run into this? I am working on my elements and pages in Dreamweaver (CS5) and they are now live at:
    http://www.blackcreekisc.com/TEST/index.html
Unfortunately, sometimes in internet explorer the elements are nowhere near where they should be. I have to click "refresh" several times to get them to "jump" back where they should be. The frequency and elements that are out of place is not consistent. This is very strange and frustrating. Can anyone help?

Rock On! I found what seems to be a fix for the "jumping" problem. Forcing
the browser to open in IE7 with the meta tag:
DOES fix the jumping problem. It does open up a can of slightly lesser
paragraph placement issues, but these are mild comparitively.
