Loading iphoto to my ipad 3

Have tried to load iphoto to my ipad ..loads no problem then when I start the programm it goes to photo library and sits there. Down loaded all my photos so the only items a 20 photo stream pictures.. Still no luck. Any ideas would love to be able to use iphoto . Thanks

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Besides 'new album' , 'wall photos', or 'iPhoto Uploads' ... it only shows 24 pre-existing albums to choose. I need to see the other 50, 60, etc albums I have.
I've also noticed that iPhoto fails to load to certain albums with some 'Domin Exception' error of some kind (not sure the exact message).

You need to make the new Mac iTunes library your syncing library. iTunes on the Mac sees your iPad as a new device because you have never synced with this computer before. You can make the Mac your syncing computer by following the instructions in this user tip. You will be able to transfer the purchased music on the iPad into iTunes when you follow this procedure.

So - just to be clear. The photos are in iPhoto; iTunes lets you select the albums/events to sync, but the sync just doesn't happen?
If so, one possible solution is to clear any pics you've created or saved on the iPad. It's been seen before that on odd occasions saving pics from a website or whatever on the iPad/iPhone screws up the iTunes sync.
f you need to keep the pics, email them to yourself as attachments then delete them from the iPad.

Can you use Iphoto on the Ipad yet? When it first came out you were not able to load it on to an Ipad. There was talk of it being added in an update at some point. Did that ever happen? Its one of the vital programs I need on it.

So basically I cant have Iphoto on my Ipad. That *****! I need the photo organization that I get with Iphoto like it is on my laptop. The current Photo program does not let me organize it like I need to. Unless they have made changes to it since the last time I stopped by an Apple store (the sales person did not know his shoes from his socks at the time, so that did not help). I need to organize my pictures by category, not by date taken. For example: Category: Wood projects, then type: (and there are many)vase, glass, bowl, bottle and so on, with many pictures under each type. The current Photo program just wont cut it. Is there anther app I should be looking at?
Its my one and only hold up for not getting an Ipad. I have the same issue with my droid, but the Astro app fixes this issue on the droid.

So, Newbook, are you uploading those photos to an original iPad?
If so, they won't upload to iPhoto from the iPad, only from the camera (actual camera or iPhone). So, you need to attach the original device where the photos were taken to the Mac to upload them.
That little white connector thing is just a way to get the photos from the camera to your iPad without having to sync, but to get it to the Mac, you have to upload them from the source device.
Then, when you sync your iPad, you can de-select that event or album to remove it from the iPad.

No, not at all incorrect, as each and every one of these devices and machines is... hardware.
Saying they're a hardware maker implies that they manufacture parts that are available to the consumer.
I don't believe so, that would be a component maker. But this is pure semantics and gets us nowhere.
Yes, Microsoft are now a leading hardware manufacturer in the Games space, but not in the computer space. They're making forays into the Tablet space, and we'll see how that goes. But the core point remains: Microsoft don't care what hardware you run Windows on - the more the merrrier for them - whereas Apple do. Only on Apple branded hardware, otherwise they lose money.
I suggest you drop over to the iPhine forum. I'm sure folks over there will have suggestions for apps that will manage your Photos on your Windows machine.

Acually King Penguin I think this works in Photo not iPhoto on the ipad. All my comments refer to iPhoto on the iPad, not iPhoto on a laptop or desktop MAC. I find iPhoto on the iPad to be very unfinished application. As near as I can tell when you make an edit in iPhoto it creates a copy of your photo that it puts who knows where. If you actually want an album that you can get out of the black hole called iPhoto you have to save those photos in camera role. the steps are:
1, Switch to edit mode
2. Select the photo to be 'deleted' (actually hidden not deleted)
3 . Touch the X icon on the bottom of the screen and that will hde the photo
Easy enough but why not use the same well chosen tools used in Photos? Why make it different so that you have to experiment or refer to the non-existent "iPhoto on iPad manual"?
But now comes the real fun part. Suppose you have edited a number of photos and hidden a bunch more and you want an album of the editied and un-hidden photos to use as you see fit. In my case I am totally unintersted in creating a Flicker account. I don't want to tweet them or facebook them. I want to get them out of the iPhoto black hole. Here are the steps I found. I would be thrilled if someone has found a better way. What I found is multistep very slow process for each photo to be added to "Camera Roll". Camera Roll is the way to get Photos accessable in Photo and thereby available outside the black hole.
1.Go to Edit mode (upper right corener)
2. Select All Photos (upper left corner)
3. Choose a photo out of the photo matrix.
4. touch the Share icon. that's the one that looks like the select icon in Photos (bad choice Apple. i kept thinking I mucst be doing something wrong since it sort of looked like select bu wasn't).
5. Touch Camera Roll
6. Touch Selected
7. Wait. This is a slow process
8. Touch done
Repeat steps 3 through 8 for each idividual photo.
I gave up after 13 out of 60 photos. Way, way too slow. it would have take over an hour to do this six step process for the 60 photos. Instead load the photos from the flash card in my PC. Use Photoshop or Picasa and forget using m iPad for on the fly editing and showing photos which is what I had hoped to do.

Launch Keychain Access and click on Login in the left hand pane and then on Passwords. Next do search for Apple in the search field at the top and click on Apple ID Authenicication in the list that comes up. That will give you the ID no. and password.

Disable Photo Stream in the System/iCloud preference pane
and in iPhoto's Photo Share preference pane.
Reboot and reenable both respectively. That should jump start Photo Stream.

That is the only logical conclusion. There is an easy solution. On the Mac app store download a free app called smartconverter. It is free. You just drag and drop file into app and it will convert to any file u want. I hope that foxes your issue

My iMac lost all of the photos in the iPhoto library about 3 OSX updates ago (current system 10.9.1) but they recently appeared on my iPad. I have looked at all of the iphoto libraries on my iMac (3) and one contains 419 photos, one contains 3 photos and the main library has place holders with description information for 3741 photos but no photos. My iPad has all of the photos in iPhoto. How do I move them?

The answer is no. There is no originals (or masters folder) that I can find. Below are the following folders in iPhoto:
Events Folder: 71 place holders with decriptions including 6 recent photos
Photos Folders: 3741 Place Holders with descriptions
Photo Stream: 1 photo
Last 18 Months: 157 photos
Last Import: 1 photo
Cloud: 229 photos
1 Album: 3 placeholders with descriptions
Slideshow: 1 placeholder with description
Many of the actual photos are recent and are duplicated in one of the abovefolders
