  • How do I load music videos from my computer to my iPad when I don't have import in my iTunes

How do I load music videos from my computer on to my iPad when I don't have "import" on my iTunes?

Could you explain more? WHat do you mean that you do not have "import" on iTunes? Are you trying to find an import command to add the videos to your iTunes media library? It is called Add to library and is found in the iTunes File menu.
But you can add files to the iTunes media library by just dropping the files onto the iTunes icon.

  • I loaded music videos onto my 60 GB IPOD but there is no sound!!!

I download music videos onto my cpu from LimeWire, then load them onto my Ipod. The videos play, but without sound. Can anyone help?

  • Down load music video onto i phone

i can't get the music video to down load onto the phone. i have a i-mac,bought the video from i-tune it is on my computer, but i can't figure out how to get it onto the phone, thank you i'm kinda new at all this

Yes. A windows formatted iPod can be read from and written to by a Mac. Macs recognize the FAT32 file system that Windows uses.
A Mac formatted iPod cannot be used on a Windows computer without the need fro some 3rd party software. Windows does not recognize the HFS+ system that a Mac uses.

  • Can't load music videos to itunes

Hello, i am new on this. My husband gave me an ipod and i will like to load it with music videos and dvds that i have at home. But when i try to open it with itunes it does not let me. What can i do?

Unfortunately, the process of getting video files and DVD's onto your computer, and then onto your iPod can be a tricky one, especially for someone new. I'm quite familiar with iTunes/iPods myself, and still haven't looked much into the process of putting certain videos onto the iPod.
Some people might say: "oh its easy" "you need such and such program", but there are a lot of settings for the video files that are specific to the iPod, and not everyone knows that. Without those "extra programs" however, theres no real way to get a non-compaitable video onto your iPod, it simply HAS to be that format, and you WILL need a program for doing that. So if you want to get DVDs on your computer, youll need to get your hands dirty with some programs and some tough processes to figure out, sometimes tricky especially when some methods of doing so may or may not be very legal.
Sadly, it's not as easy as putting the DVD in, and having it appear in iTunes to save for your iPod.
What I CAN say is if you want to purchase/rent music videos/movies from the iTunes store, that is the easiest way obviously because when downloaded, they are already in a ready-to-go format for your iPod. It's the best way to do it, but of course, will cost you per purchase.

  • Goes back to home screen after 2 seconds of trying to load music, videos or even iTunes

This happened awhile ago when trying to download the new Software for it (4.2), but wouldn't let me and stuck with Software 2.2.1. I put my music back on it and worked fine. Till I tried to open Music, Video or iTunes App on the iPod.
Anyways I gave up on it and didn't care till now. I've restored it (Power+Home Button) and tried Erase All Content and Settings. Still doesn't work no matter what I do. I can't restore it from iTunes because it tries to update it and that won't work.

    Not a good error:
    Error -1
Attempt to restore your iOS device two more times. If the issue is still unresolved, the device may need service.
The "device may need service" means a hardware problem. In that case make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • Kernel Panic when i attempt to load music/videos

when i try to load any mp3s or movie files onto my ipod, i get the kernel panic screen (4 languages, hold down power blah blah blah)... what can i do to make this not happen?

I am in the same boat as you guys.
I have a 60 gig Black 5G iPod. Loaded primarily with video.
It is syncing to a 10.4.3 iMac G5.
I have been using the iPod trouble free for 2 weeks now. Syncing everyday, removing and adding video. No problems.
Last night I attempted to add a number of videos that would have filled up the device. Once I was syncing the last, or second to last, video and the counter in iTunes showed there was about a gig of space left available on the iPod I would get a Kernel Panic (grey screen, power button, 5 languages, telling me to restart).
This happened twice before I removed a handful of videos to keep the iPod from filling up. This seemed to relieve the problem and the iPod synced like normal.
Otherwise the iPod has been performing as expected, video playback is great, syncing otherwise is fine.
My panic.log is very similar to yours rdstuart

So, a follow up question, anyone reading this thread completely (and I mean completely, save for a few megs) maxed out their 5th gen iPod? 30 or 60 gig qualifies as it seems to occur on both models.
Basically I am trying to determine the root of the problem. Is this a serious hardware problem which would warrant an exchange?
Or possible a problem/flaw in the database structure of the iPod that could be rectified via a firmware update?
Has anyone talked with Apple Tech Support about this issue?
My iPod is absolutely great otherwise, none of the many complaints others in the forum have had, and so if this is just a case of leaving a gig or so free on the iPod until a fix materializes so be it! I would rather avoid an unnecessary exchange if possible.
I just want to avoid major hardware issues downs the line naturally.
Thanks for your help and advice in advance.

  • . I am new to IPods. I have a Classic 160GB and I can't figure out how to load my music videos to it. I have had no problem loading my music CD's but no go with the music videos I have. Please HELP. Thanks maxsdad

    Hello:
I am new to IPods. I have a Classic 160GB and I can't figure out how to load Music Videos to iTunes or the IPod. I have had no problem loading my CD's to iTunes and to the IPod, but no go on the Music Videos.
    Please Help
    maxsdad

    B-Rock:
Ok. Here's the results. I tried all the music videos I wanted to put onto the IPod and the results were:
I was able to get good results with 2 full length music videos and 2 video singles(only 2 videos on each disk). For a total of 4 videos.
I was able to encode 5 full length music videos, but the results were distorted (video and audio).
I was unable to copy 2 full length videos due to error failures. 1 was a "No Title Found" error, the other was a "NAVDAT" error.
I guess my next question is: Do you know of any other program(s) that I might try, to see if I can get good results with the videos that didn't work with Handbrake?
Thanks again for all your help.

  • New iPod 80gb will not display music videos

Bought a brand new 4th iPod last week and it's my first video, an 80gb to make use of the loads of different quicktime stuff i have including music videos.
Had already updated my Itunes and OS using automatic software update in OS X, then loaded and learned that many of my quicktime movies i kept in iTunes needed converting to be iPod freindly which I did using a combination of QT 7 pro, iTunes, iSquint and ffmpegx. If i set them as music video in itunes i can play them but they never appear in the music video playlist on the ipod, if I make them movie they al llist in the movie window but i get no list by artist or artist details and have to play them one at a time, the one video i have from iTMS does not allow me to change the option from movie to music video the button being greyed out..
at first I thought the problem was me but the more and more i look having reinstalled itunes and restored the ipod the problem I believe is increasingly faulty apple hardware, software or firmware as all my videos can now be played through the movie option .. any one here care to discuss am i right / am i wrong? . .anyone out there watching movies through the music video playlist with a video iPod especially 80gb

needed to sync load music videos in the settings

  • Music Videos won't load

I have tried several times to get the music videos in my music video playlist to load onto my iPod, but it's not working. The videos look like they're in the right format and I think I have the right settings in iTunes. Thanks!

Thanks Jeff! That would explain why it's not working. Drat!

And what is the point of all this? CS3 is now 7 years old and Office 2003 just the same. Yes, sometimes software has bugs and compatibility issues. Beyond there is nothing here to discuss on either end, given the circumstances...

  • Hung down load of foo fighters music video

Dose anybody know how to clear a down load error off of my iPad. I down loaded the free music video of The Foo Fighters "These Days" my internet connection was acting up and it down loaded the video, but I have a down load error in my iTunes Acc.

I have never seen an iTunes download error - but try - Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music or Videos - see if you can delete the video in there (there is an edit button) and maybe that will clear the iTunes error.

  • YouTube Music Videos - Blank - Loading - Errors out until you refresh

I've been having issues with music videos on YouTube with the latest version of Firefox. I would go to YouTube then browse the music and then select a video and it would play through the advertisement then video would be blank while trying to load then error. However if I refresh the page it works. This is quite annoying. Any other video plays without receiving this issue/error. It only seems to be Music Videos from what I have seen so far.
If I switch to any other browser this issue doesn't occur.
I have also asked my friend if his does the same thing and he also Firefox and what do you know same thing, different ISP, also only has this issue with the browser Firefox.
I hope the Firefox team could find the issue and release a fix with their next update.
    Thanks.
