  • HP LaserJet p1505n Error: Load Paper msg

I have had no problems with my year and a half old (minimally used) hp 1505n printer until recently. Now, when I click the print icon (on WordPerfect) after the Preparing Document messages flashes on and disappears a large message in a window appears on the right of my screen with a diagram of a printer depicted on it. On top of the window it says: HP LaserJet P1505n Error. In the window near the printer depiction is the message: Load Paper. However, the tray is filled with paper. The printer works if I click the OK in the message and press the print button on the printer.
One technician told me she thinks it because the printer is on Manual Feed rather than Auto Select. But when it is put on Auto Select it always returns to Manual Feed even after clicking OK.
    Any solutions?

  • Paper in tray does not feed - error messsage says to load paper - D1660

Two questions:  My hardly-used D1660 printer does not pick up the paper in the tray - regular 8 1/2 x 11 - width guide is snug against the pages in the tray - everything looks all right, but still it will not print.  Message is to "load paper."
I reloaded the software and drivers last night from the HP site, followed all the steps including not connecting the USB cord until prompted, and got a "successful install" message.  Then, at the "restart computer" stage, a "fatal error" message came up after I had closed all other programs and had done the "restart" from the Start menu by clicking on Shutdown and then Restart because there was no other prompt.
After the Error message, everything immediately began "uninstalling" automatically.  No option to stop it.
    What happened?
So I'm wondering what the "fatal error" was - and how to get the printer to pick up the pages and print.
All the components of the print program are showiing in the Programs queue.  So doesn't look like they are "uninstalled."
Probably irrelevant:  I recently added a new black ink cartridge and have the original multi-color cartridge in place.

I've attached a link to an HP Document that should assist you in correcting this problem. You may need to do a reset of the printer, the instructions to do this are included in the document.

  • Red X light comes on for printing or copying...says to load paper. Paper is in tray.

no problem printing today.  This evening, when trying to print,  as soon as I request the print mode, the printer shows a
red X and it trys to print, but message is to load paper.  I had loaded the paper, numerous times and it will not work.
I tried to copy and samemessage.  I've looked at all entries to see if something is blocked, nothing is blocked.  Printer will not recognize that paper is loaded in tray.
Don't know what else to do.

... and what size and/or type of paper is referred to in the message - is the same as the type and size which the printer configuration suggests it has in the tray(s)?

This 'How-To' article will help you solve a 'Load Paper' error message even though there is paper in the front load tray. You can read this helpful article at http://mikeyates.com/wordpress/?cat=187
This could also help other HP printers with no easy access to the drop down type rollers located inside the printer.
Would appreciate any feedback if this worked for you or not.

This is what I found: printer eventually wants to see color ink after running months without.  Steps I followed were: remove ink cartridges. Remove printer head (raise handle at left) and clean (slosh bottom) in hot water, (did it 3 times) and wipe clean.  Replace with new/full color ink cartridges and black if it's got ink still. Run clean printer head program from panel continuously until you start seeing good solid ink flowing on test paper, may even run alignment program at this point.  Turn off printer, if you get Load paper error, hit OK, allow alignment to run, and if heads have been previously cleaned satisfactorily (all colors show up), alignment will show success, and the next time you start printer, no more load paper error.  Point being, the printer eventually wants to see or will look for color ink and in particular, cyan necessary for the alignment page, and without this the program will aparently project a load paper error and alignment failure.  (which you can get aroung by keep hitting OK and cancelling the alignment)!  This totally cured by problem of load paper and alignment failure.  Good luck and be patient, it may take some time to effective clean, I went through all color ink and will have to purchase more !

  • HP designjet Z3200ps that goes into error message 79.04 when trying to load paper.

The Designjet Z3200ps powers up and comes to ready and ask to load paper. It starts to take the paper and the carriage unit  scans back and forth then the display shows error 79.04.  I've upgraded to the latest Firmware, But it still does the same thing. Does anyone have any other answers. Thanks

  • Printer wants me to load paper when there's plenty already there

I have an Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless.  Every now and then it hangs up on a print job, telling me I need to load paper in the tray even though there's lots of paper already there.  I have only one tray, but apparently some of these printers have the capacity for two.  Maybe that's a part of the problem?   I've tried everything I can think of.   By the way, is there some way to send an email to HP describing the problem, or are we on our own as customers?  Anyway, I'd appreciate advice if anyone has any.  Thanks.

In addition the type of paper you are using can affect how well the printer picks it up. Recycled paper, while great for the environment doesn’t always pick correctly in printers. If you are using recycled paper try regular paper instead.

    Hi,
As the issue occours with a specific document only, make sure to verify that any of the document settings are set correctly
(e.g. the right paper size, the page margins, etc...)
Additionaly, try copying the entire content of the document and paste into a new blank document, try printing the new document and check for any change.

  • Laserjet CM2320 - "Load Paper" message with full tray

This printer has been working fine for about 2 months and now the only way I can print to it is to use the manual feed slot. The paper tray is full (and I've tried with a half tray as well), and it still says "Load Paper."

  • HP PSC 2355 troubles - Display shows a constant "load paper" message...

... even though the tray is full.
Have had it five years.  Worked fine until a few days ago; then, first a paper jam message, then check color cartridge, now "load paper".  Have gone thru all on-line troubleshooting steps, taken the back off, cleaned the rollers, etc.  No good.
Is this printer at the end of its useful life?  Thanks for any advice.

Hello jlstchris and welcome to the HP forums!
I'm sorry to hear that your printer is not pulling the paper as it should but I would like to lend a hand and see if we can determine what the problem is
I'd first like to test the hardware to see if it's related to the hardware of the printer or the software. To test this, the first thing I will recommend is that you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet to ensure it is getting all the power it needs to function. Once it's plugged directly to a wall outlet, please try Printing a Self-Test Report directly on the printer to see if it's able to print that page successfully or not. If it prints successfully, please try printing from the computer again.
If it does not print properly I will suggest that you then try the steps within this More Than One Page at a Time Feeds Through the All-in-One document as it will walk you through cleaning the rollers and inspecting the inside of the printer.
If the problems still persists after that, please try Performing a Partial Reset to see if that will clear the message.
Hope to hear back from you soon, hopefully with good news
