Loading plug ins

i am wondering how u load plug ins into logic pro, when i download the plug in it doesnt open so i want to know how to open it and also how to load it in to logic, thanks

There are VST to AU wrappers that will allow you to use VST plugins in Logic; I have never used them though so have no idea how reliable they are. I know FXpansion makes one. Do a search for " VST to AU wrapper" and see what you find. Others here may have used them and be able to comment.

the error has nothing to do with DBCA. DBCA was simply the last in a long string of victims.
Go back and read the instructions where you downloaded the install media. They state that the TWO zip files you download must be unzipped into the same directory.

Problem occured today -out of the blue.

I did not recently make any updates or load any 3rd party plug-ins, and can find all the plug-ins in folders, but they will not load (have done restarts, etc)

I Have the Instal DVDs, but unfortunately my Work PC does not have a DVD player (I downloaded from Adobe).

I finally got my call from Level 2 support. The installation was failing because an Illustrator installation related "cab" file had apparantely been renamed to a "vir" file extension. I was installing from downloadeded and expanded files. This file extension change was probably done by my anti virus software (Panda).
I renamed the file and the installation of Illustrator was successful. The cause of the original problem, (unable to load plug-ins) is unknown. Maybe a random corruption or perhaps caused by a Windows Update. But now everything is re-installed and seems to be working.
The level 2 person's level of support was great. I think they are very understaffed hence the long wait for a call back.

Error loading plug-ins

I just installed a trial version of CS5.5 and I am getting an error message when loading Illustrator. It tells me Error loading plug-ins DxfDwg.aip PNGFileFormat.aip. I have two user accounts and this only happens under the user account that I use all the time. Under the other user account, I don't get this error and everything appears to work fine. The other strange thing is that I get this error every other time I start up the program. When I don't get this Error message, after the program is done loading I get a message that says Some plug-ins have been updated. You will need to relaunch Illustrator for the changes to take effect. Of course when I relaunch I get the Error loading plug-ins. I have run the program as adminsitrator, I have uninstalled and reinstalled, I have checked the security preferences, etc. Anyone have any ideas on this? Thanks!

There is solution to this problem on th Adobe site do a search either by google or for the adobe site not a search of the forum and you should find it.

I was opening Illustrator in CS4 design standard. Odd too, because the error comes up with it showing missing plugins from Photoshop. I opened Photoshop first, then Illustrator to see if it changed anything. Yes, One of the two error messages for a plugin was gone.
To remove apps I went to the Adobe website to redownload my standard CS4 and chose "uninstall".. So I did. Restarts x 2 . Then Reopening illustrator...same thing again. Restarted, then went to Disky Utlity and cleaned up something off of it as per a internet suggestion...Sorry, it's been a long day alreay. Not me removing anything, just allowing it to do that with repairing.
The version of Mac OS is YOSEMITE 10.10.2 .
I recently updated!!! oooh nooooo! (every watch Mr. Bill on SNL?) so if the updated OS is the culprit, do I have to go back to older version for my apps to work? I never realized how very much I use Illustrator. I know there are extensions I could go through one at a time....seriously I am overwhelmed with some life events that make this computer dilema almost too much of a challenge for me at this time..I am truly grateful for your help. Indesign will not launch,cannot load plug-ins

I'm having trouble opening indeisgn. It seems it cannot load the plug-ins as I'm getting a series of error messages, which say the following:
Adobe InDesign cannot load the Data Services.InDesignPlugin plug-in. The Data Services.InDesignPlugin plug-in requires the 9.1 version of InDesign. Please contact the vendor to get a compatible version of Data Services.InDesignPlugin.
Show this alert again?
The problem started shortly after the AAM crashed. I think it was updating Indesign at the time and then I got an error message 'download error'. That problem has now been fixed, but the problem with indesign persits. Any help would be great thanks!

PS (CS2 or Elements 12) crashes during launch at the step AFTER loading plug-ins

On Lenovo computer running Win7 Home Premium 64 bit PS (CS2 or Elements 12) crashes at teh step that comes after Plug-ins. CS2 used to work on this computer. Also I have Acer netbook with same OS and PSE 12 runs fine.

I am trying to remember exactly what loads immediately AFTER plug-ins, but think that it might be fonts?
If the issue is NOT with different plug-ins, I would check the fonts installed in Windows on the Lenovo against the ones installed on the Acer. Ps is very sensitive to fonts, and a corrupt, or just poorly-written font, CAN cause it to crash. It was written for Premiere Pro's Titler (even more sensitive to font issues, than Ps), but contains some good, general info, plus it has links to Adobe KB Articles, which are specific to Ps.

FCP takes 15-20 minutes to start, once it's loaded plug-ins

Once plug-ins are loaded and RT bits are done, FCP 7 takes 15-20 minutes to start. I've closed projects, I've deleted preferences, repaired disk permissions but still no joy.
Activity Utility suggests that FCP is looking for a previous files assets.
Had anyone else experienced this?

By default, FCP will try to load the last project that was active.
While 15-20 minutes is a long time to try loading even a missing project and it's media, you might try turning this option off. Click in the menu bar where you see *Final Cut Pro* in bold typeface.
Go to User Preferences.
De-select the option "Open last project on application launch" in the General tab.
Post back with your results.

Logic pro won't load plug-ins

Hey!
I know that there are several discussions about this, but i think this problem that i've got is quite unique.
I am using Mountain Lion on a Macbook Pro with Logic pro 9.
I was using the following plug-ins:
*Sausage fattener
*Massive
*Sylenth1
*Nexus
The problem here is that yesterday, i shut down my computer, when i woke up and started Logic, it was saying:
Logic pro: Plug-in "Nexus" not available.
Logic pro: Plug-in "Sylenth1" not available.
So i restarted the computer and now it has added:
Logic pro: Plug-in "Sausage fattener" not available.
Massive still works though.
I checked the vst folders and everything, deleted it and reinstalled, restarted my computer but NOTHING works.
Do anyone have a clue what to do? Been googeling all day..

Those are all 32bit plugins...
So start up Logic Pro in 32bit mode and see if that fixes things...
Resolution
To switch Logic between 32- and 64-bit mode:
Quit Logic Pro, if it is running.
Navigate to and select the Logic Pro application in the Applications folder.
Choose File, then Get Info.
Select the "Open in 32-bit mode" checkbox to run Logic Pro in 32-bit mode. Deselect the checkbox to run Logic Pro in 64-bit mode.
My guess is you changed modes..
Note: The 32bit plugins will also show up in 64bit mode under the 32bit plugin area of the drop down menu... (and then they use the 32bit to 64bit bridge program automatically) so you might need to just run LP in 32bit mode and then again in 64bit mode to fully revalidate them again..

I cannot load plug ins into pse 13 like I did with pse 11.

I have tried taking the plug ins from pse 11 and installing in pse 13 but cannot get them to work, your help will be appreciated.

PSE 11 was a 32-bit program and PSE 13 is 64 bits unless you are running a 32 bit version of windows, so most likely you need to check for updated versions of your plugins, since those should be 64 bits as well.

I've been trying to install the plug-in Fractilious into a customer's machine, and it claims to have installed, but is not there. Add on/ extension manager also cannot see it because it is not .zxp (?), file type.
My customer also relates that only about a third of plug-ins show up in the pop-down list.
I would really like to see a list of all locations that are recommended or mandated, and the file types required, if such exists.

How to use and load Plug-ins

I would appreciate help loading and using plugins for my copy of Acrobat 9 Standard. The plugins are in the folder Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 9.0\Acrobat\plug_ins on my machine. How do I use/load them?

The plugins don't appear to be loaded when I start the program. The "about adobe plugins" optoin in the "help" menu indicates the plugins are not loaded and when I "generate a system report..." from within the "onlline support..." option in the "help" menu none of the plugins are loaded. What am I doing wrong here?
