Loading PSE 9.0 on a PowerMac G5

I am trying to load PSE 9 Mac version in my Apple Power Mac G5. OS X 10.5.8
My PSE 9.0 came with an Mac disc and a Windows disc.
The error message is that my architecture (sp?) is a problem. Is this perhaps an Apple problem or an Adobe problem? Loading CS5 had the same problem.
The PowerMac otherwise works well.
What do I do now?

Hi Bob
Yes there are problems on the Mac with Organizer, especially if you have previously used iPhoto.
The Mac Pro is robust enough to cope, otherwise you may need a trade-off.
Keep trying or download the Mac version directly from Adobe and input your DVD serial number.

I tried:
Deleted PSE but didn't delete.
Created PSE from OS level and tried importing to SAP, but not successfull.
Tried to 'change' / 'Replace' but not able to as it gives ' PSE is locked for changes'

Here is the probable soln:
As PI 710 is an double stack (ABAP+JAVA), if you create the PSE in ABAP and then create in JAVA stack (NWA), mismatch error will occur.
I created certificates and PSE through NetWeaver Administrator and imported to abap stack.
Its working.

Keyword Tags lost after loading PSE and photos on new computer

I purchased a new Wondows 7 computer and loaded PSE 8 which was running on my old computer. I had transferred all data from old computer using a Belkin Data Transfer Cable. I opened my PSE 8 and photos were there but none of the Keyword Tags assigned to the pictures were there. So I deleted those pictures and transferred all my pictures using the Backup Catalogue selection under file and restored the pix on my new computer using the Restore Backup from file. Still no Keyword Tags. What do I need to do to get the tags?

Thanks for your response. I did restore to new location, drive J, and chose "maintain folder structure". So, the catalog and a complete set of my photos was copied to the new external drive J. However, the catalog is still linked to the original set of my photos that are still on drive M. Any ideas?

Problems with PSE 6 since loading PSE 10

HELP! LOADED ADOBE PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 10 TO MY LAPTOP UNABLE TO DOWNLOAN PICTURES TO ELEMENTS 10. MY CAMERA IS A CANON EOS 20D.
SINCE DOWNLOADING PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 10 I AM UNABLE TO TO OPEN ELEMENTS 6 FROM MY LAPTOP.
PHOTOS LOADED IN MY LAPTOP ARE NOW ONLY COMING UP IN ELEMENTS 10.

You need to use Elements organizer to download your photos directly from your camera.
Organizer comes with a build-in plugin named Adobe Photo Downloader to download your images from camera and other devices.
If you don't want to download your all photos from your camera and just edit a few of them, you can always open them directly in PSE Editor using File>open

Loading PSE 10 on laptop with no external drive? How to do?

Download the installation files and install using your serial number from the disc you have.

Can I load PSE 13 on my pc and my laptop?

I would like to load my legally purchased copy of PSE 13 on my PC and my Laptop. Does the PSE licence allow this? If yes..can it be downloaded from the web as my Laptop does not have a CD drive?

Failure to load PSE 11

My PSE 11 has been great until yesterday. When I tried to open it, I got the message that too many files are running.........but there were none open. Then I got the message that there was not enough RAM.......but there was (I could still open PSE 10). Today I got the message that "A required application library failed to load and the product cannot continue. Please reinstall the application." I did reinstall, but got the same message. The reinstalled PSE 11 did not show up when I chose Programs and an icon did not show up on the desktop. Further required information: I am 76 years old and not computer savvy beyond basics. Will appreciate any help available. I am using Windows XP.

Loading PSE 4 on another computer

I am currently using PSE 6 on a Mac so am not using my earlier PSE 4 version. I want to give it to someone else but am wondering if there will be a problem loading it on that other computer since I am not a user on it. If so what can I do?

There will not be a problem installing it, but technically if you took the upgrade rebate you aren't supposed to dispose of the previous version. There's no mechanism to prevent it, though.

Unable to load PSE 10 disks 2 and 3 of 3

I purchased PSE 3 from Costco and successfully installed the first disc. I was unable to install disc 2 and therefore, disc 3. When I tried to install the second disc, I received this message: : "The installation package is not supported by the processor type. Contact your product vendor." I emailed Costco with all of the information and got this reply: "Please contact the technical support for that software listed in your literature as there may be a setting somewhere that needs to be adjusted. This software should run on the computer with the specifications listed."

If disk 1 installed properly, you're done. Disk 3 is the mac version. In my combined PSE/PRE 5 disc set, disc 2 is for 64 bit operating systems.

Question about dll. error message when loading - PSE 6

I have PSE 6 and suddenly get the following error message when I open PSE: Organizer-Photoshop Element PhotoshopElementsOrganizer exe- entry point fot found. CFBundle Copy File TypeForFileData could not be located in dynamic linc library core foundation.dll.
No idea what that means, what happened and how to fix this.
Is there anybody that can give advise to a non-computer literate person????
Help would be greatly appreciated.

Trying to load PSE 12 onto laotop running Windows 7 but it gets as far as installing shared technolgies screen & then stops stating that there is a fault with the shared technologies. It then reweinds

I have been trying to load my photoshop elements edition 12 onto my laptop running windows 7 but it gets as far as the shared technologies screen & stops. It the does a roll back. I have followed the fix guidelines & cleared the 2 relevent files in the common files section of the computer several times but it still never gets past that screen. Can anybody suggest what the compatibility issue might be with widows 7 & elements 12 program? Any help would be much appreciated, its my last day on the count down to set up. I have been trying every day.

My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

Yes. In fact you are permitted two activations so could run on both computers or a PC & Laptop.

Powermac vs ibook - slow loading of webpages

For a while now I have been mainly using my ibook G4 over my powermac G5 to access the internet but have had to revert back to the powermac (power lead packed up on ibook!). I have noticed the following and wonder if anyone could give me any tips.
Powermac - accesses web using router with ethernet. Browser is Safari, OSX Panther
ibook - accesses web via same router but wirelessly. Browser is Safari, OSX Tiger
However, pages on the powermac are significantly slower to load than when I use the ibook. Its getting to the point where I just can't be bothered to use the internet as I'm tearing my hair out waiting for pages to load. Now I know you may say it could be the page I'm trying to access but I'm only going to same pages as last week, and the weeks, months before on the ibook and these were loading no problem. Plus the Powermac is connected direct to the router via ethernet cable so would have thought it would have been quicker. I'm even using the same browser on both computers so can't see how it can be a problem with Safari. I've cleared the cache, removed webpage icons but dont know what else to do.

After some experimenting, it seems like my poor speed and sluggishness is the result of my computer heating up. I have always turned my computer on at 6 AM and put it to sleep at 10 PM. But with Leopard, if I leave it on all day, it gets extremely hot by late afternoon. Most of my computer work involves accessing a number of websites to monitor sales, auctions, etc. for our businesses. By evening, I can't get most of the sites to open and instead the browsers time out. Today I tried putting it to sleep everytime I needed to leave my desk and it stayed a lot cooler and I'm still working this evening!
When I turn on the computer in the morning, it is lightning fast and pages open almost before I finish clicking!
Are there any suggestions as to why it is heating up and how I can overcome this problem?

My scanner isn't a choice in File Import in PSE 8 for Mac

I just loaded PSE 8 in my new Macbook (Snow Leopard), but my Epson scanner doesn't appear in File>Import. I've followed all the instructions I can find including loading Rosetta and downloading the Twain drivers from the Epson site. Can anyone help?

You will need to go to Epson's site to see what is available for your scanner model. If you find one, download it and follow the instructions for installing it.
Sorry I can't be more specific, but I have a canon scanner (and it's so old there's never going to be an intel plug-in for it).
