Loading to 0FIAR_C05 InfoCube

The business delivered content for InfoCube 0FIAR_C05 only supports full updates from the extractor 0FI_AR_5 using a full update InfoPackage. If we include this InfoPackage in our process chain, I think that data values will double in InfoCube unless I delete the data before a new load to 0FIAR_C05. Is anyone using this load strategy at the moment?

Hi,
We are not using exactly same data source, but we had same issue with WBS actual, budget and committment data sources. What we are doing is we are doing full load and then we included process type "Delete overlapping request from Info Cube". in the process chain. This step deletes the previos request from infocube.
You can follow the same. You have two option for deleting the data from infocube: If you are using selections in the load, and want to delete data for particular selection use "delete overlap request". If there is no selection you can use "complete deletion of data target content".

I am getting an ABAP short dump error when loading data into Infocube. I tried to load data from PSA and ODS.
I ran the code to compress the Infocube, no improvement still getting the same error.
Error Analysis:
A raise statement in the program "SAPLRSDU_PART" raised in the exception.
Internal Notes:
The termination occured in the function "ab_i fune" of the SAP Basis system. Specifically in the line 2316 of the module "//bas/620/src/krn/runt/abfunc. C#18".
The internal operation just processed is "FUNE"

try to run program SAP_DROP_EMPTY_FPARTITIONS to display existing partitions. Then compare it to the number of uncompressed requests. Maybe there's a mismatch.

Transactional data is loaded in a infocube

How to identify how much transactional data is loaded in a infocube? Please recommend the best way to quantify this.

CUBE -> Right Click -> Manage-> Requests Tab- > View the loaded Request
See two columns .
Transfered Record and Added number of Records.
Based on Update Rules, Added Record Count might be <= Transfered Rec Count.

How to load data in infocube BW 7.0.

Hi,
I am loading data in Infocube from R3(ECC 6.0) to BW(7.0). Following are the details.
Steps in R3.
1) I have created customized table in R3 and loaded data in the table.
2) Using transaction RSO2 I have created data source.
3) I am able to extract data using RSA3 in R3.
Steps in BW(7.).
1) I have replicated data source in BW(7.0)
2) Created Infocube in BW(7.0).
Please let me know what are the steps required to load the data from data source to Infocube.

There are a few ways to do this. Let me explain the quick and supposed to be the most efficient way.
1. Right click the cube and chose create transformations.
2. You will be prompted to chose the source object type and object; in your caae data source.
3. The system will try to map the objects ( similar to update rules / transfer rules) and give a mesage " so many rules have been created". Check and activate.
4. Right click the cube and chose create DTP ( DTP is similar to info package but have different functions) and chose your source and target.
5. Chose the update mode ( delta , full etc)
6. Activate the DTP and execute.

Direct vs Indirect data load from ODS - InfoCube

We know that there are two options to load data from ODS to InfoCube:
1. Direct load:
If the ODS setting is checked with the option of "Update data targets from ODS object automatically", then when loading data to ODS, then the data also can be loaded to the InfoCube, in this way, only one InfoPackage is needed to load data to the ODS, then the InfoCube can be filled with data automatically.
2. Indirect load:
If the ODS setting is NOT checked with the option of "Update data targets from ODS object automatically", then not only the InfoPackage to load the data to the ODS is needed, but also the InfoPackage to load data from the exported datasource of the ODS to the InfoCube is needed to be created in order to load the data from ODS to the InfoCube.
I wonder what are the pro and con between the above two loading methods from ODS to InfoCube.

HI Kevin,
Direct Loads or rather Automated Loads are usually used where u need to load data automatically into the final data target. And it has no dependencies.This process has less of maintenance involved and u need to execute a single infopackage to send data to the final data target.
But Indirect Loads are usually used when u have a number of dependencies and this ODs object is one of the object in a process chain. So if u require the this ODS data load wait till some other event has been executed , then indirect loads are used through process chains.

Hi,
These are the steps for creating an Info cube and data loading
1. It is same as creating an Info cube in BW 3.5
2. Here once u created an info cube,assign dimesions to it.
3. Create application component, info source similar to BW 3.5.
4. After creating info source, right click on it
5. Here all the dimensions and key figures are mapped automatically in transformation rules.
6. Right click on info cube find the option : Create Data transfer Process
7. create an info package, as usual and schedule the package to load the data into an Info provider.

Process Chain taking long time in loading data in infocube

Dear Expert,
We are loading data thru PC in AR cube it takes data frm
PSA-> DSO->Activation->Index Deletion->DTP(load infocube)->IndexCreation->Create Aggregates.
In Index creation everyday its taking long time around 9 to 10 hrs to create it
when we go in RSRV and repair the infocube thr loading of data happens fast. We are doing it(RSRV) everyday. In DB02 we have seen dat 96% tablespace is used.
Please tell permanent solution.
Please suggest its BI Issue or Basis.

We are loading data thru PC in AR cube it takes data frm

In the above steps insted of Create Aggregates it should be Roll up Process of aggregates.
You can ask the basis team to check the Table space in the transaction db02old/db02.
Check if there is long running job in SM66/SM50 kill that job.
check there should be enough Batch process to perform the steps.

Error while loading data to Infocube using DTP.

Dear All
I am facing problem while uploading data in Zinfocube. Up to PSA the data is loaded and not showing any error but when we try to upload the data from PSA to INFOCUBE through a DTP, It ens up showing error message (Error while updating to targets Infocube) . The long text and details doesnot give any further information. I can't figure out what could be the reason....

The data might be mismatched between PSA and Cube or might be the problem in the transformation. We cannot really say what the problem until you tell the error msg.
There will be some error message in DTP monitor

Load data from infocube to DP planning area

Hi All,
I have loaded the data from info cube to DP planning area keyfigures with the transaction /SAPAPO/TSCUBE.
the data copy was successful and there were no error messages. However, the keyfigure values in planning book are shown exactly as double the values of infocube key figures for all the periods.
I repeatedly loaded data several times and the behaviour was same.
We didn't implement any BADI in standrad /SAPAPO/TSCUBE program.
Could any one please give some hints what would be the reasons for this problem.

I am not sure on how you check the Live Cache data for DP but based on your testing I can say that the old data is not overwritten by the new data in the Live cache. I cannot say the root cause for this however I can suggest you the remedy. To avoid this issue, you zero out the values of the key figure before loading from the Cube.
For this you have to run a macro which copies zero for the entire horizon and then load the cube. First test this in test system, if it works (it should work), then to make it simple create a batch job with two steps, first step would run this macro and the second step will load the data from cube. you can run this job whenever you want to load the data

Request is successfully but datarecords are not loaded into the InfoCube

Im loading the data into the 0PUR_C01 from the two datasources 2LIS_02_ITM and 2LIS_02_SCL.
First im trying to load the data from the 2LIS_02_ITM int the InfoCube 0PUR_C01.
Then request is loaded successfully and im getting the reporting symbol in the 'Manage' of the InfoCube.But
Transffferd Records = 22000
Added Records = 0
why it is like that ..
pls tell me i ll assing the points

Problem becasue of missing Industory sector setting in R/3 . This setting has to be done before filling the setuptable .For more information search the forums with BF11.

After inital stock load in 0ic_c03 infocube "seems" empty

I carried out the steps in the document How to handle inventory management scenarios in BW ... to load data in 0IC_C03 infocube
to keep things simple I only setup table MC03BX0SETUP ...
i performed the following steps:
1) initialization of current stock in r3
exec tc MCNB
2) then check when tc RSA3 the structure 2LIS_03_BX which shows 66378 records
3)Upload data to the infocube (selection "create opening balance" radio button ). The monitor showed 66378 records
4) Compressed the request (the check box "no marker update" was blank)
5) then went to tc RSA1 and select the infocube 0IC_C03 -> right click -> manage ->and check the contents of the infocube. in the selection screen no selections were made and execute, but no data was shown. Why I can't see any data

According to the aforementioned document, page 14, "when historical material movents are not required" step for loading statistical data isn't needed, only a delta initialization with no data is requiered which I already did.
What I d'ont understand is why I can't se any rows of the infocube.
As I understand, after loading stock initialization (2lis_03_bx), compressing this request and initialized delta without data transfer (2LIS_03_BF), data with the stock figures at the moment of creating the oppening balance in R3 must be shown in the infocube, is it right?
Is it correct that historical data is only required if I need stock figures in past? for example I run MCNB at 10.05.2006 and I'am intereisting in what the stock was at 01.05.2006, if I do'n need that past sate I don't need to load 2LIS_03_BF, only delta initialization without data transfer is rquired, right?

Data Load into 0FIAP_C03 - InfoCube consuming very long time

Hi,
I'm loading data into the InfoCube - 0FIAP_C03 from the DSO - 0FIAP_O03. On a daily basis I delete the contents of this InfoCube and reload full data.
In the DTP monitor I can see that the step 'Overlapping check with archived data areas for InfoProvider 0FIAP_C03' under 'Updating to InfoCube 0FIAP_C03 : 50000 -> 50000 Data Records' for each Data Package is taking the most amount of time. It is generally true that the step 'Overlapping check with archived data areas for InfoProvider <Cube_Name>' takes the most time. But is there any specific reason for this? Also, is there any thing that can be done to reduce the time taken to execute this step?

Hi Sri,
Ideally it should not take much time-
I think the reasons would be:
1) Volume of data in Source DSO
2) Complex logic in Srart/Field/End routine
3) Cube Index (Delete cube index before load)
Also check the dimension design of your infocube --> SE38 --> SAP_INFOCUBE_DESIGNS

Error while Loading data to InfoCube

I am taking data from the data source 2lis_13_vditm. I created one iNfoCube in BI and wrote the transformatioin in b/w the infocube and the datasource. When I tried to load the datasource using DTP.. Its showing the following error
"No SID found for value 'CTN ' of characteristic 0SALES_UNIT".
The details are the following
Diagnosis
     Characteristic value CTN does not exist in the master data table of
     characteristic 0SALES_UNIT . Therefore, this value could not be
     transformed into the internal SID.
Please help me to resolve this issue...

Architecture: obtain information about the loading of my infocube ?

Hi,
I want to make a Java application which loads information about my infocube like last successull loading, number error records for the last loading, the possibility to display these error records from the PSA ...
is it possible with WD ?
Any idea How retrieve these information from BI ?
I imagine an application which perform on PC Frond End users which informs the state of BI. And if there is a problem, i want to inform the cause by sending a text message from my PC to all PC Fond End users (where my java application is running).
