Loading to 2 applications

We are currently using FDM to upload actuals data into and HFM app and budget data to a Planning app from one template through the multiload functionality. Is there a way to avoid having to import the same template twice and still send it to both applications ?

I was joking about the saying it fast 3 times. :)
However, I'm not sure how you could load to 2 HFM applications at the same time? Perhaps have two adapters with two targets? I don't play with the adapters much as we have a pretty vanilla environment in that regard; however, unless you were to manipulate the Integration settings via scripting one adapter would tie to one HFM application (assuming we're talking to HFM) Your comment was about loading to HFM and Essbase which may be a slightly different scenario?
As far as multiple FDM application, I agree entirely that it is very painful to maintain; however, for me it was easier to split up the apps since end users apparently have issues keeping track of categories. I am not worried about not being supported through Oracle as I have a pretty good handle on what we're doing; however, that doesn't mean it works for everyone so it is a case by case basis. If the user is going to have to get support at every twist and turn, probably isn't right for them.

Error while loading data from application server

Hi all,
Am facing a problem while loading data from application server.
The error i get is ....
*" The argument ' Rental/Lease ' cannot be interpreted as a number while assigning character to application structure*.
'Rental/Lease' is a value for a character infoobject length 30. I checked for the sequence of fields in data source and the sequnce of values am receiving in application server and the sequence match.
when i copy these values into a CSV onto a desktop and load,load is successful.
Please let me know your views.

It looks like the system is trying to convert Rental/Lease to a number format. Is the info object type CHAR or NUMC or ??? I would look there.
Also, make sure / is in RSKC.

Assume that, i have an Applet application that need to loaded into 1000cards..
So, how to solve this?

for 1000 cards you can use a "small" printer like an evolis "dualis" or something like that
we've produced thousands of cards with this method in my company.
the pro is that you can also print the cards in the same time.
they usually have simple APIS like get_new_card_from_loader(), put_card_on_contacts(), eject_card()
you can connect any reader on the printer , the raw card contacts are available on a connector.
some printers also have contactless couplers.
but remember that deploying cards in the field is not just loading an applet.
it's also a cryptographic challenge, you need to change the card keys or anyone will be able to play with your cards, adding and removing applets as they want.
typically this is achieved by using an ultra secret mother key and whatever derivation algorithm you like using data from INIT UPDATE as diversifier. example, you can TDES cipher part of the INIT UPDATE data using the mother key as TDES key, or use something involving SHA1, using a HSM if you are serious, etc.

Advantages of using a webserver inbetween a load balancer and application servers

I am building out a new weblogic domain.
I am wondering which one of these configuration to go with:
1. Load balancer > weblogic servers
2. Load balancer > web server > weblogic servers
Could someone tell me what are the specific advantages of having web servers inbetween a load balancer and application servers (besides caching static data content and acting as a proxy)?

Other than hosting the static content, nothing much really. We have our load balancer go straight to WL for applications without static content and route to web server if there is static content. Easy enough to do it both ways, best of both worlds.

Images in the shared library not loaded in the application EAR

The images in the shared library are not getting loaded in the application EAR deployed in the weblogic server.
I have a portal web project, which is deployed in the server, as a shared library. I'm using this shared library in my application EAR. All the details like the portlets, look and feel elements are loaded. But the images are not displayed when I run my application. Please help!!
Can it be a problem with the context path specified or something else?

It is most likely an issue with how your portlets are creating the URLs to the images. What kind of portlets are you using (JPF, JSF, JSR168, Struts, JSP)? And how are you generating the URLs to the images?

Usually SIM cards are from 16K - 64K in size but with the invent of Flash memory SIM cards have now capacity of upto 512MB i.e. half a gig.
These SIM card providers provide softwares which can load J2ME applications on SIM.

Any reasons SWFs will not load into an application?

I've loaded thousands of swfs before into applications/components, but now I have an application (component) that won't load a swf - no matter where I put it, not matter how I load it (I've tried using a static <mx:SWFLoader source="test.swf" /> with the test.swf in the same directory as the component). I've also tried with a combination of the SWFLoader control with ActionScript and I tried loading it using all ActionScript (var loadTheSWF:SWFLoader = new SWFLoader() method).
I even wrote a test application to load the test.swf - that loads fine.
This particular component is very busy, I'm wondering if I've just "maxed out" the components ability to do more? Or confused it somehow with namespaces and import statement. At a loss here.

The SWFloader appears on the screen with a broken link graphic in its place, but it can't seem to "find' the swf. I have tried four different swfs. I even created one with a simple 50-frame animation with no AS that will not load. All these swfs will load in another application, just not this one for some crazy reason. I may have to break down the whole comonent, or do a work around.

Which email provider are you using? There are different solutions possible for different providers. Yahoo is having trouble with attachments, outside of any Firefox issue. I've seen a Google user fix this by manually adding the mail URL to their ad block program- which mistakenly perceived the webmail page as an advertisement.

Also, run AutoConfig and make sure it completes successfully.

Remote loading Multi-versioned application & ApplicationDomains & communication

Hello,
let's have an application A that loads application B using SWFLoader. Is it possible to have A and B compiled with different Flex SDKs and have the applications in the same ApplicationDomain?
I want to communicate between the applications, for example add some event listener to SystemManager of B. If I use loadForCompatibility=true, I get coercion error (of course - ApplicationDomains are different and we have two SystemManagers, so flex has no idea which one to use).
Any ideas how to achive the communication?

I would be lovely if Adobe created some demo for remote loading multi-versioned application using runtime shared library, with some event communication between applications
