Loading Yahoo mail causes screen resolution error

Whenever I load Yahoo mail in FF7, I get an error message saying my screen resolution is too low. However, my resolution is 1440 by 900, the native setting. This only happens in FF7, never in other browsers. It also happens when I use Firefox's zoom setting. Seems like that trips it up.

When I zoom in on the page, my resolution drops down to 96 by 96 in the first test and to 900 by 600 on the second test, both of which are lower than the recommended value. So why does zooming in only affect this browser and not IE9, Opera or Chrome?

My laptop display had no screen resolution problem before upgrading to 3.6.10. The error states I should set to 1024 x 768 pixel resolution. This is less than that I already have. I don't understand why this occurs.

Please see added comments on the question. Its not a zoom issue its all about the new ATT design email and Firefox, I agree with Noah there a bug between the old and the new and firefox only.
UPDATE:
I stand corrected. I went back in again and did the reset zoom and it appears to eliminate the error. Problem solved but I am not sure why I never set up zoom and didn't have the problem on any other site. Will it need to be done each and every time I go into that page or is it now corrected?

Can not load yahoo mail with Firefox but can with internet explorer

I have been getting: connection refused when trying to load yahoo mail from my firefox browser, but when I use internet explorer I can open my yahoo mail.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

How do I load Yahoo Mail Toolbar?

I have two Yahoo mail accounts. One account opens with the toolbar (which allows me to compose emails, send, reply, delete, etc.). My main account opens with the toolbar for a few seconds and then disappears thus I can't compose, delete emails, etc. And yes, I only have one account at a time open. I use one close it and open the second the other one. Yahoo is saying that my internet server is the problem. This problem just started today 2-19. It was working great on 2/18. Can you help me resolve this challenge? Thank you

Not sure what more details you need. Again, my Yahoo email account I'm assuming has been compromised as the toolbar which gives me the options to send, reply, save delete emails, etc. comes up when the program first loads then is gone once the internet is finished completely loading Yahoo mail. Yahoo techs think the problem is with Firefox. Last night my son stopped the popups and the toolbar returned. This morning popups back and toolbar is gone. But! I have another Yahoo account and there is no problem with the toolbar. I don't know any technical terms to help any further. Sorry.... thanks for helping.

How do I enable Firefox 4 to do a search on more than one word (e.g. "yahoo mail") without receiving the error message "the URL is not valid and cannot be loaded"?

After loading Firefox 4.0, I changed the address bar search engine to Google Search by Name, so I'd be taken straight to the most relevant webpage when I type in a word.
It works fine when I type in one word, but if I use a search with more than one word (e.g. "yahoo mail" or "google maps") I get an alert saying "The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded". Is there any way I can fix the address bar to accept multiple word searches?
I've tried disabling all my add-ons, but it didn't make any difference.

Hi, this should sort out your problem:
1. Type in "about:config" into the address bar, this will open the settings menu. Click on "I'll be careful, I promise!"
2. Search for "keyword.URL" in the filter bar.
3. Enter "http://www.google.com/search?btnI=I%27m+Feeling+Lucky&q=" into the value field.
I'm no expert, but I had the same problem which got on my nerves after being so used to being able to type anything in, and following these steps fixed it.

Problem loading yahoo mail in safari os x lion

When i browse safari with different site was fine but when i load up yahoo mail to check my email, it turn out to be sluggish or even to the point that it will not load. the other website that i'm already in, will get affected that i could even force reload them. then, if i close the yahoo mail, it will go back to a normal browsing with safari. if i check my email on gmail, there was no problem, i could continue browsing with other website. i haven't experience this before i upgrade to os x lion. please can somebody help me? are there any tweaks that needs to be done that i don't know.. please help. thank you so much.

Go to FINDER-LIBRARY-PREFERENCES- and delete the folder com.apple.safari.rss.plist
Go to FINDER-LIBRARY-CACHES- and delete the folder com.apple.safari
Restart your Mac.
I too was experiencing some severe lagging in some web sites-using Safari.
Also heard that Adobe (v 10.1) can cause lagging problems. V. 10.0 is more stable.
Did what Clay offered and NO MORE LAGGING.
BTW, you'll have to do a search(SPOTLIGHT) for SAFARI but it pops right up and you still have all your bookmarks and favorites.

Loading Yahoo mail contaact list to IPAD

I've tried to load my Yahoo contact list to the IPAD following instructions and using Itunes with no suceess. While it shows contacting Yahoo and "syncing" the list with the IPAD, nothing shows up when i try to address a note. HELP!

No, Yahoo Mail works perfectly fine in private browsing mode. I just have to click back to the private window (which does not close, only loses focus) when it happens and then can log in normally. It only occurs when first loading the login screen, which may have flash plugins loaded with certain ads? It seems to be related either to recent updates to Firefox or recent updates to Yahoo Mail.
Mainly I posted this for informational purposes so it can be checked out. Is there a better place to report it? It did not happen in older versions of Firefox (though I am not sure how far back you have to go version-wise for it to not happen). I still have Firefox 3.6.28 on one machine and this issue does not occur.

HP 8600 scan to yahoo mail as .pdf gives error but opens in gmail outlook

I have scan opening problem with HP 8600. I can open any .pdf with no problem. I have Win 7 and current Adobe. But anything scanned by HP 8600 to yahoo mail gives...it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged...
When I scan to both gmail and yahoo, gmail opens with no problem but the yahoo mail gives the error message above. I have tried on numberous PCs and with at least 3 different yahoo users. To make this even more puzzling, I can forward the same email with attachment from gmail to yahoo and the attachment will now open, but the scan sent directly to yahoo mail still will not open.. looking for answers, not work arounds. I have already reinstall the printer.
I can also forward the yahoo mail .pdf attachment that will not open to gmail and it opens!

Yahoo Mail generates "A connection error occurred." within the Preferences panel

Since Yahoo Mail changed to IMAP I have been having SMTP connection problems with the outgoing server. I have tried deleing the keychain entries, etc. but nothing worked. I deleted the account from Mail and rebooted my MBP. Now, when I try and add a Yahoo email account I quickly get the message "A connection error occurred." without any indication of the error. The only option is to manual add the account which creates the error "Unable to verity account or password".
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Since first posting I contacted AppleCare. AppleCare performed various troubleshooting steps (pinging the SMTP server on the specific ports, creating test accounts and finally restoring Mountain Lion) which lead me to believe the problem is with Yahoo.
I was using Yahoo Mail Plus since 2002 but have since cancelled. I am using the Ad version and the problem remains. As a paying subscriber the only support option is email. There does not appear to be any urgency on Yahoo to prioritze the issue or communicate.

If this is a free Yahoo account and you are a U.S. resident, Yahoo prevents accessing a free Yahoo account with any email client such as the Mail.app. A free Yahoo account is webmail based with a browser only.
You can access a Yahoo Mail Plus or paid account ($19.95/yr) with an email client such as the Mail.app and the required account information is available at Yahoo's website.
If this Yahoo email account is provided by your internet service provider used for connecting to the internet, you should be able to get the required account setup information via your ISP's website.

T510 Screen resolutions error?

To my knowledge, the screen resolution of 15,6" models should be as follows:
HD: 1366 x 768
HD+: 1600 x 900
FHD: 1920 x 1080
Then why on European Lenovo websites all T510 models are listed as 15.6 " HD+ AntiGlare 1366x768 ??

The Lenovo european sites haven't been as good and accurate as they used to be.

Firefox won't load Yahoo mail jpg's (Mac)

JPG images attached to Yahoo mail won't display in Firefox (Mac), either in preview mode or when the message is fully opened. The images show up as dogeared pages at the bottom of the email. "View Slideshow" also only shows the images as dogeared pages in a separate window. However, if I forward the email, the images do show up on the message while I'm editing it.
Safari has no such problem, and Firefox has no problems if I open the same message in Gmail.

I have the same problem happening, but only when I'm trying to relaunch the applet - I can get the applet to launch on the first try, but then if I leave it open and my connection times out, I can't relaunch the applet later. The only thing that seems to work is rebooting my computer - I've tried clearing cache, cookies, etc., and it has no effect.

Firefox4.01 can mot load yahoo mail detail page, just blank content

These days, when i login my yahoo mail as usual on firefox4.01, i can see the mail box and mail list page. JVM causes screen 'resolution problems'

I have been developing in Java on linux for a while, but now when I try to do it on Windows XP, whenever I have the JVM running, my TFT screen looks like its running at the wrong resolution - It says its still running at 1280x1024, but it looks like its running at the wrong resolution. I.e. text is quite fuzzy and its quite hard on the eyes before long.
Is there some setting I have wrong somewhere? Why does it mess with the display?

Someone recently posted a problem regarding fuzzy print with an (apparently new version) Nvidia driver and anti-aliasing turned on.
Sun uses some parameters to maximize graphic performance that some drivers don't handle well. Search the forums for mention of -D options and video for more specifics.
