LoadMovie Bug? (Need to get this working!)
Why is this happening!? On the interactive section of my page

I have a bunch of externally loaded swf files that are
supposed to load into the black square in the middle. As you can
see... some of the swfs partially load... just the text for most,
and then some dont. If you click another section then click back,
it loads fine and you can see what it's supposed to look like. This
doesn't make much sense to me, considering the swf files are done
on a single frame, with the text just a layer below the image... so
why does a portion of the swf load but the other doesn't and why do
some and not others? I have the swfs loading using loadMovie.
(example below)

This works perfectly with every other site I've done, and
I've used that same setup many times on this site. Yet for whatever
reason... it doesn't work regularly.
I'm pretty much done with this site, and I'm waiting to fix
this to post all of the work and there and send it out to get a
designer job. This one issue is holding me up. Please help!

loadMovie isn't the best way... you should be using the
MovieClipLoader
class, and it's loadClip method. Much more reliable.

The cable that I'm using came with my 5th gen nano. The 6th gen Ipod shows that it's connected but the computer doesn't see it, so I don't think that it's the cable.
I did try this before when looking at the troubleshooting guide and nothing happens. It just resets and then the Ipod screen tells me that it's connected to the computer. It still is unseen by Itunes and no where to be found in my computer.
I don't have another computer to plug it into at the moment but I may be able to visit a friend that owns a decent PC in a few days. If that doesn't work out I will be getting a new lap top in a week and I'm hoping that it will work on that, but it won't be a Mac. So, let's say it works when I plug it into one of these computers, should I reset my Ipod from there or is there something else I should do? -

I am working on a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2009) with boot camp running Windows 7 pro 64-bit. Windows crashes quite often now-a-days and I need to get this fixed. I heard that updating boot camp can help. Currently I am running Version 3.0.4 (322).
Only Apple could hamstring and tie Mac OS to Windows. There isn't any other than whether you can download the drivers into Windows (you can) but Apple puts a block on the installer setup even if your mac does not support it.
Windows 7 needs at least Boot Camp 3.1 and 3.3 is what you should already have. And you are not getting security updates if you don't have at least 10.6.8 as was pointed out. --- you arent using Software Update as you should. And you should backup and clone Mac (and Windows) as well.
You need Mountain Lion to use Boot Camp 5.x which supports Windows 7 & 8 and 64-bit.
I would upgrade to Lion if you can realizing that Rosetta and PowerPC are no longer supported though.

How do I use the Boot Camp 5 Support Software I downloaded from the web page?
The download file is a .zip file. Double click it to uncompress it.
Double-click the Boot Camp disk image.
Copy the Boot Camp and "$WinPEDriver$" folders to the root level of a USB flash drive or hard drive that is formatted with the FAT file system (see question below for steps on how to format).
Install Windows, leaving the flash or hard drive attached to the USB port of your Mac.
Installation of the drivers can take a few minutes. Don't interrupt the installation process. A completion dialog box will appear when everything is installed. Click Finish when the dialog appears.
When your system restarts your Windows 8 installation is done.
Note: If the flash drive or hard drive was not attached when you installed Windows and was inserted after restarting into Windows 8, double-click the Boot Camp folder, then locate and double click the "setup.exe" file to start the installation of the Boot Camp 5 Support Software.
How do I format USB media to the FAT file system?
Use Disk Utility to format a disk to use with a Windows computer. Here's how:
Important: Formatting a disk erases all the files on it. Copy any files you want to save to another disk before formatting the disk.
Open Disk Utility.
Select the disk you want to format for use with Windows computers.
Click Erase, and choose one of the following from the Format pop-up menu:
If the size of the disk is 32 GB or less, choose MS-DOS (FAT).
If the size of the disk is over 32 GB, choose ExFAT.
Type a name for the disk. The maximum length is 11 characters.
Click the Erase button and then click Erase again.
Which versions of Windows are supported with Boot Camp 5?
64-bit versions of Windows 8 and Windows 7 are supported using the Boot Camp 5 Support Software. If you need to use a 32-bit version, you need to use Boot Camp 4 Support Software, and you must use Windows 7. 32-bit versions of Windows 8 are not supported via Boot Camp. Just upgraded IOS to V7 and iphone is asking for a password and the online password will not work. I really need to get this sorted as I am away and need to get the phone working.

No. If you failed to turn off Find my iPhone BEFORE you upgraded to iOS 7, you will need the original Apple ID and password. If you upgraded to iOS 7 you will need this info; there is no way around this. If it is the device passcode you will need to restore your iPhone in order to reset that, which in the end will require your Apple ID and password in order to activate the phone once it is restored.

It has been some time since Apple updated AirPort Utility for Windows. The current version is 5.6.1.
It runs on Windows 7, but I have not checked on Windows 8.

DFS Cloning - how to get this working
Hello,
I ran into a problem I'm hoping you will be able to help me with.
Next year we will be installing 2 servers in 2 offices. Those servers will replace our current file servers. Our current file servers run Windows Server 2003, and the new ones will run Server 2012 R2.
With the current setup, the data on Server-2003-A is backed up to Server-2003-B each evening using the following Robocopy command (initiated on Server 2003-B):
robocopy \\Server-2003-A IP Address\homedir d:\homedir /SEC /MIR /LOG:something.txt /W:3 /R:2 /NDL /NP
With the new servers we want to implement DFS Replication, the current servers do not have DFS installed.
And this is where it gets tricky.
The recommended way, which I know works fine, is to pre-seed the data by copying from one of the servers to another, with both of those servers eventually ending up in the same replication group. What we want to do is different. We want to copy:
- from Server-2003-A to Server-2012-A
- from Server-2003-B to Server-20012-B
And use Server-2012-A and Server-2012-B in the replication.
I ran a test. I used this Robocopy command on both Server-2003 machines:
Robocopy.exe "D:\Homedir\something"
\\Server-2012\E$\Homedir\something /E /B /COPYALL /R:6 /W:5 /XD DfsrPrivate /TEE
(I know the /XD parameter is not needed but at this point I believe it's irrelevant).
Afterwards I compared the file hashes on both Server-2012 machines. As I have feared, the file hashes are different. So at this point pre-seeding the data seems actually pointless.
Is copying the data over the WAN link really the only way to get this working? Or is there a workaround for this?

split a paragraph up into sentances. (split(".") ) then can split the sentance up into words (split(" ")). Push
all of the words into a HashMap with an integer indicating the number of times they have occured.
Then run through the HashMap and for each entry search for vowels/sylables/whatever.
This is probably the easiset method of doing what you want but it is limited in the size of file it can parse
efficiently.

I backed up my sons Iphone 4 and tried to get it to Icloud with no luck, I figured it backed up to his itunes, I connected to itunes and logged him in under his account. I thought it was his back up but it was mine . How can I get his 2.4 gig back that is on his phone to restore his phone. can I do it right from the phone . ON both devices go to settings - message - send&receive - uncheck or remove the appl id.
In the same settings - start a new conversation - remove or uncheck the apple id. -
I have the Photoshop Photography Program and now every time I try open Photoshop CC it asks me for a Serial Number. It keeps saying my trial period has ended. How can I get this working since Adobe doesn't issue Serial Numbers for CC.

I have just checked your account and found that you indeed have bought a Creative Cloud for Teams subscription but you have assigned the single seat to another user hence you ( If you are using your own Adobe ID ) are getting the trial error message.
Two options : Either reassign the seat to your self or add an additional seat and invite your self in the same Team.
