Loads not getting sucessfull for long time.

hi experts,
can u plese let me know how to complete a load whch is taking lot of time than it usally takes?it usually take 10 mins to complete but now it is taking 30 mins but still in yellow status?it has psa.it
Rgds
pavan

hi Pavan,
For the issue u mentioned above we have two ways to solve
1) As u have told that loading is taking much time than the usaual so pls check the extraction of the load in the details tab of Rsmo (t-code) then if the load 's extraction is completed u can set the waiting time of the load to 1 sec in the menu bar and the push it from the psa.
2) check out if any TRFC are struck in the Source and extraction is not completed then go with the repeating of the loads by cancelling the previous job in source sys.

• Concurrent timers are not getting invoked for same timer inf

Do weblogic has some parameter in weblogic deployment descriptor like numAlarmThreads="5" minThreads="1" maxThreads="10" etc
becoz I am facing one problem relating to timer service in EJB
Problem Scope: Concurrent timers are not getting invoked for same timer info (Serializable object containing the details of timer).
Details : I am implementing EJB timer 2.1 and when ejbTimeOut execution of one timer exceeds the interval time, next timeout doesn’t happens till the execution of first ejbTimeOut completes . Ideally the timers should behave in the manner that on every interval the ejbTimeOut should occur no matter the previous timeout is completed or not
for example : consider there is timer T whose timeout occurs every minute, and on every timeout it calls process P, so on every minute ideally container should give call to process P irrespective of the previous status of P (call is complete or not). In our case next call to process P is not happening after timeout also since it is waiting for previous call to P to get completed

You should also cross-post this in the WebLogic EJB forum:

• BW: Not getting Dump For Program error in Process Chain

I have one issue regarding Master data loading issue in BW(3.5).
My business flow like we have received data from server A and Server A extract data from Server B and
Server B which is extract data from source(R/3).
Flow like this R/3-->Server B-->Server A(ETL) -
> My Server.
We have a mater data process chain and that chain we have have the source system Server A but in the process chain one process is there which is fethces data like global transport e.g UOM,factory calender etc through Custom program directly from Server B.
Oneday what happened On that process the process chain Yellow since more than 16 hrs.Once nextday process chain trigger the process chain runs sucessfuly.
But lastdays process chain paticular process stills remains yellow?
We are not getting any dumps and even if from Server A there is no logs then anyone could please tell me what is reason and how to solve it.
Note: it will be helpful for me if any one know how to check dump for program errors in Process chain as narated issue.

Guys, I am also facing the same issue.
When DTP is completed successfully, it has the job log blow :
Job started
Step 001 started (program RSPROCESS, variant &0000000391261, user ID BWREMOTE)
Performing check and potential update for status control table
Status 'Executable' (user BWREMOTE)
Status 'Active' (user BWREMOTE)
Program RSBATCH_EXECUTE_PROZESS successfully scheduled as job BIDTPR_335754_1 with ID 06532200
Job finished
When it fails or remain yelllow for long time and then turn into red.
Job started
Step 001 started (program RSPROCESS, variant &0000000391306, user ID BWREMOTE)
Performing check and potential update for status control table
Status 'Executable' (user BWREMOTE)
Status 'Active' (user BWREMOTE)
EXTRACTION OF DATAPACKAGE 000001
EXTRACTION OF DATAPACKAGE 000002
Job finished
The question is, why the program RSBATCH_EXECUTE_PROZESS is not scheduled. Is it because there is no free resource? Or poor response from SAP ECC?
Finally what does "EXTRACTION OF DATAPACKAGE 000001" mean? Its not scheduled?

• Downloading artwork - "could not get artwork for some albums"

This might have been addressed before, but I browsed the forum and couldn't find a thread. Sorry if it's been gone over several times.
I live in Turkey and I've added albums to my iTunes. I checked the box in the Get Info next to Artwork and I selected Get Album Artwork from the Advanced tab. It scans through all the albums and then says "could not get artwork for some albums." "Some" albums means all of them actually. And the error tab details say "artwork not available." I also tried getting artwork by right clicking on a single album but I get the same error. Before it was a 609 error. Now it just says not available.
I logged out of the store, quit iTunes, loaded it again, re-signed in to the store and tried to get artwork that way, but got the same result. No artwork. The albums are things like Let It Be, Allman Brothers, Ella Fitzgerald... Albums that should certainly have artwork available.
I'm using Windows Vista.
Has anyone had and conquered this problem? Any ideas on what I should do? I have 300+ albums, so getting the cover art from wikipedia would be a bit tedious. I'd appreciate any help anyone can give!

Hello, Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Are your songs from Audio CDs or iTunes Store? If not you may need to manually find the album artwork for them as these songs may not be listed in the iTunes Store database for your region.
iTunes: Album art may not download properly
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1815
iTunes will only download album artwork for songs that it can find in the iTunes Store. iTunes will check each song in your iTunes library and attempt to match it up with a song in the iTunes Store. If the data matches, iTunes will download the album artwork from the iTunes Store and add it to the song in your iTunes library. If iTunes does not find a particular song's artwork in the iTunes Store, you will not see an alert message. iTunes simply does not download artwork for that song.

• Some times my mac not getting shut down, some times my mac not getting shut down

some times my mac not getting shut down, some times my mac not getting shut down
it will show white scree for long time and will not shut down

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ If you’re running Mac OS X 10.7 or later, open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the page that opens.
Step 1
Select "system.log" from the file list. Enter "BOOT_TIME" (without the quotes) in the search box. Note the times of the log messages referring to boot times. Now clear the search box and scroll back in the log to the time of the most recent boot when you had the problem. Post the messages logged during the time when you had the problem – the text, please, not a screenshot. For example, if the problem is a slow startup taking three minutes, post the messages timestamped within three minutes after the boot time. If the problem is a crash or a shutdown hang, post the messages from before the boot time, when the system was about to crash or was failing to shut down.
Edit out excessive repeats and personal information, if any.
If the log doesn't go back far enough in time, scroll down in the Console file list to /private/var/log/system.log.0.bz2. Search the archived log, and if necessary the older ones below them, for the same information.
Step 2
Do the same with kernel.log.
Step 3
Still in Console, look under System Diagnostic Reports for crash or panic logs, and post the most recent one, if any. For privacy’s sake, I suggest you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if present (it may not be.) Please do not post shutdownStall or hang logs – they're very long and not helpful.

• How to stop process chain if it yellow for long time

hello all,
I see that my process chain is running for long time and is yellow for more than last 24 hours now. I can see where the chain is stuck(not going ahead).
What do we normally do in such scenarios?
Also one more question I have is about delete PSA request process variant. Can i use the same variant in two different process chains, is yes than do I have to include the name of the PSA tables that are in both the process chains. When the variant runs in 1st chain does it delete the PSA tables from the second chain as well..(i hope i made this clear)
Thanks in advance

Once you have done with your init load manually. Then in case it was just the start of the process in ur Process Chain then first remove the chain from schedule and then go to the start process of the process chain and save the setting for immediate, uncheck the periodic box and save and then come out of the screen and then execute and activate the chain.
Note:
1. Before changing the setting in the start process make a note of the start time and also its periodic value.
2. Once the chain is completed then change the setting in the start process back to previous start time and periodic value.
3. Don’t forget to save and activate the chain.

• Make a Thread to get sleep for a time that has decimals

I need a Thread to get sleep for a time that has decimals, for example 3,5 miliseconds but is not possible because the Thread.sleep() admits only long. Is not other way to do it?
Thanks

Well, there's sleep(long millis, int nanos), but to be honest if you're requirements are that tight, sleep() is probably not the right tool for you because if doesn't really guarantee any level of accuracy.That's true, the accuracy of sleep() depends rather on the underlying OS and hardware. As the docs say:
"Causes the currently executing thread to sleep (temporarily cease execution) for the specified number of milliseconds, *subject to the precision and accuracy of system timers and schedulers*. "
Just run this simple test program, it gives interesting results:
long start, stop;
for (int i=0; i<100; i++) {
start = System.nanoTime();
try {
Thread.sleep(5);
} catch (InterruptedException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
stop = System.nanoTime();
System.out.println("The thread slept for " + (stop-start)/1000000.0 + " ms");
}On my Windows XP with dual core CPU I get:
The thread slept for 5.801576 ms
The thread slept for 5.778108 ms
The thread slept for 6.134019 ms
The thread slept for 5.437562 ms
The thread slept for 6.064458 ms
The thread slept for 5.674744 ms
The thread slept for 15.354466 ms
The thread slept for 5.869461 ms
The thread slept for 5.785372 ms
The thread slept for 5.804649 ms
If you really need a precise timer you need either a real-time OS or a different solution, the method sleep(millis, nanos) will solve the problem without proper OS/hardware

• Will SAP remain as market leader for long time?

Hi
I have just started Masters of Business ERP SAP at victoria University. But my background is
accounting and have intermediate knowledge of software industry . From my understanding
there is always something new replacing existing market in software industry. I just want to
know about the sustainability of SAP career . will it sustain in the market for long time?
Regards
Shafiq

Hello, I can assure you that you will not suffer from hunger or anything like that... there are thousands of companies running SAP accross the globe. And if, and that will not happen, somebody would threaten SAP, understand how much money depends on SAP systems. It would take years to get rid of the vendor (SAP) lock-in for all those companies.
Ok, that was the practical approach. On the other hand I do believe in quality and sustainability of what we do here and feel no fear about my future. Even if some kind of a problem appear, SAP would teach you so much about business processes and how companies are runned, that you could immediately switch to some kind of management/ analyst job. t least that is how I feel about it.
Hope that helps a little, I wanted to offer something in return for your answer to my question earlier,
maybe you would like to talk some more one day?
Cheers Otto

I am trying to migrate MYSQL 3.23 database into Oracle 8.1.7 and after creating the Oracle model and after converting the MYSQL text datatype into CLOB of the Oracle model the SQLloader scripts is not getting generated for CLOB datatypes. I mean the scripts are getting created but there is no change in the script for CLOB datatype.
The script generates the following for the table containing CLOB datatypes:
mysqldump -h <HOST> -u <USERNAME> -p<PASSWORD> -T <DESTINATION_PATH> fields-terminated-by="<ec>" lines-terminated-by="<er>" test av_wbt_course
Please let me know how to load data when the datatype is of CLOB ?

I was able to resolve this issue by using OWM Oracle Migration instead of using offline method by sqlloader scripts.

Dear,
In general MPS is run for High value items ( if you use like Gold , Platimum or A class items. ).
Always only single level is used for Explosion and planning. then only you can analyse the requirements at each stage before procurement.
Otherwise if you run MPS to multi level, Bottom most high value will be procured without any notice to authorities. Even you may cancel the process in mid way. At that time what will happen to the procured high value material.
So for that purpose only single item single level MPS concept is evolved.
Fo that you run MPS at single level so that only for the first level MPS will be carried out.
Check and revert back.\
