Loans from ESS from NWBC

Hi Team,
I want to configure the Employee applying the loans like ( Advance,Company loans) from NWBC, I saw couple of Threads in SDN that ESS- Loans will only applicable for India only, can we do it any other country like UAE, Qatar.
we are EHP 7, Localization of UAE

Not able to print the ALV Report from NWBC

Hi,
I have created one report in ECC and that is attached to NWBC portal via. Tcode.
When I am taking printout of report using SAP GUI then its printing but while printing it from NWBC its giving Error.

Loan from Vendor Employee

Hi
Our directors are created as Employee Vendor. There are some cases where company take loan from directors. We have created these "loansfrom directors" as as special GL indicators. Now i want to know how to take loan from directors vendors.
I tried using F-48. But there is no posting key option in F-48. I do not want to use F-02 or F-42. Because using these TCodes will be like posting a JV because we need to give posting keys for all line items, etc.
So let me know how can i post these loan (special GL indicators) from vendors.

I went to posting key 29 (debit vendor special GL). Then i deleted that special GL indicator from the list in posting key.
I tried posting in F-48. I expected that it will post in posting key 39. But its gave error "The entry 29 S is missing in table TBSLT"
I pressed enter three times and it allowed me to post the entries.
Hence entry posted was:
Vendor A/c.. Dr (posting key 29)
To incoming bank account. (posting key 50)
So now there are two queries:
1. Same query, how to trigger posting key 39 (instead of 29)
2. How it allowed me to post entry even though i deleted that special GL indicator from posting key 29

Material created from Nwbc, after activation it is visible in ECC mm03, but cannot be viewed in nwbc display material

We are creating a Material from Nwbc, after activation and workflow approval it is visible in ECC mm03, But cannot be viewed in nwbc display material.
There is some configuration mistake or technical issue?

Dear Sukumar,
MDG Material search is based on Enterprise search. Pls check if the ES at MDG system is configured correctly and is working fine with all connectors in "active" status.

Launch Fiori launchpad from NWBC 4.0

Can we launch Fiori launchpad from NWBC 4.0? I looked at a couple of presentation from SAP on NWBC and they suggested that it is on the future roadmap for NWBC. Any suggestions?

I have some questions/concerns about embedding FLP in NWBC, both are UI Shells that provide certain UI services e.g. Navigation. In the case of navigation FLP uses Semantic Objects and Intents, where as NWBC (and Portal) use Object Based Navigation (OBN).
I start to worry about this shell-in-shell scenario, how will navigation be handled, will there be any issues/conflicts ??? I haven't seen much information regarding this topic. I for one would like to see more info about using FLP to aggregate other types of content not just Fiori apps - the reality is that most customers of SAP will have a hybrid scenario and continue to use a wide variety of UIs including "legacy" apps for years to come. I'd like to use FLP to aggregate Fiori, UI5, Web Dynpro, SAP GUI, Personas etc... all in one Launchpad.... I hope that's where we are heading.

UPGRADE THE PLM SYSTEM FROM NWBC 731 TO NWBC 740

     We want to Upgrade our PLM system from NWBC 731 to NWBC 740, for this it is better to have a SANBOX system to upgrade there first the NWBC740 and do some tests. And if everything is in order to Upgrade in the same time the DEV and TEST system?
     Do you now a better way to do such an upgrade?

Transporting across different BASIS releases is generally not a good practice and this is one of the main reasons why SAP insists on having the systems on the SAP landscape on the same release and patch level.
There shouldn't be a big gap in the time for starting the upgrade on the test system.
If the upgrade on the development system went fine then I would start the upgrade on the test system immediately.
I wouldn't basically let the development team transport the developments created after the development upgrade to the remaining systems in the landscape (especially production) until I complete the upgrade on the production system. The upgrade process is a planned activity.
Yes transporting a transport request across different releases is possible and SAP has their recommendations for that.
If there is a need to transport some emergency changes to the other system then it should done after consulting with the ABAP team about the possible impact on the system.

I'm approved, and already took the inquiry hit. They will loan me $4000 at 42 months. I would use this loan to pay down credit cards, but they are asking 30 percent!!! Against my better judgement, I'm actually considering this! I need someone to help talk me out of this. This is insanity, right?

If you have a 401k type account and you want to get rid of debt consider borrowing from it; of course people will say don't since you are giving up future tax deferred earnings etc, aside from that if you have a strong aversion to debt, this is one possiblity as most loans from 401k type accounts are arounf 4%-6%, definitely lower than CC rates. But before this, also consider a personal loan from the bank etc as rates are prob. lower than CC rates too, but then again if you are going to Springleaf maybe these loans are not available to you for whatever reason.

Error while applaying loan in ESS

Dear All,
I am getting an error while applying for a loan in ESS
Error - "A Maximum of amount 0 can be approved for the employee no .XXXXXXXX " .
I read the earlier thread on this but it does not work even after activating the BADI.
I have activated the BADI for Loan eligibility....still the same error is coming.
Actually, I have set break point but that BADI is not getting hit when applying from portal.
Details of the BADI's activated :
Enhancement SPOT --- HRPBSINLOANS
Method --- ELIG_RESULT
Enhancement SPOT --- HRPBSINLOANS
Method --- ADD_CUST_CHECKS
Please correct me if I am doing something wrong ,also suggest me any way out.

we can Use T-code LPD_CUST & PFCG based on the scenarios, you can use SAP_ESS_EMPLOYEE_WDA_2 Composite Role from PFCG.
Having EP is a benefit for using WDA & WDJ services, but if you go for NWBC you only have a provision to use WDA. if you are in EHP 5 then few services are still in Java & its not suggested much to use NWBC. For NWBC we don't need to buy any licenses as it comes by default. only thing we need to do is to activate the appropriate Business Functions.

Loans in ESS

Hello everyone,
Can anyone tell me how to configure loans in ESS pls. I have the 6 different loan typeswith their conditions and all up and running in PA30 but for some reason it isn't working in ESS. I have tried configing this in spro but no luck still.
Any ideas please??

Could you please elaborate your problem .
Is the loan service visible on portal . If yes are the loan types coming .
Have you checked the ess related config in back end ?.
Also while entering loans in IT0045 do any warning messages come because all the warning messages are converted to error messages in ESS . so if there is warning message coming for loan type in back end for eg : the maximum eligibilty for loan type XXXX is 0 . then thye loan type shall not be visible on front end.
so please check the above things

Unable to access catalog in IW32 from NWBC

Here's my scenario ,
After creating Work Order in IW32 , navigation to third party system (Catalog ) is needed to Select the Manufacturing Part Numbers (Materials ).
Upon choosing the materials, control is flown back to IW32 , where data reflects in Components Tab.
I could navigate and everything is working fine when calling catalog in ECC. Here it is using URL to navigate to Catalog.
But, When I try to connect to catalog in NWBC , cant connect to catalog . Its giving me Internal Server 500 error. Here, HTML form is build to connect to Catalog.
I tried copying the HTML code from internal table and save it as HTML file ( using notepad). I could connect to catalog with this HTML File.
I am not sure, where we are missing .
Please help.

Identifying the Side Panel role from NWBC

When an authorized user execute a Tcode with Side Panel assigned, the Side Panel will appear.
Question - Is there a standard report\mechanics whereby one could identify the Side Panel role associated with that Tcode?
Currently, my only method is to a brute search for the Application Alias via table AGR_HIER.   And then using description of the node to try to deduce what the Role is. Works OK, but not exactly the most direct approach.

Hi All,
i have adopted dashbaords and saved them to infoview and no problem while viewing them through infoview. But i'm not able to view the same through NWBC.
An error has occured: An error occured while trying to view the document.
I do not have this problem for viewing crystal reports in NWBC.Pls suggest on this.

Receiving unsecured loans from sister concerns

Hai all,
my client wants to have the transfer of funds between the different sister company codes and want to show those as unsecured loans. Plz suggest how it could be possible in SAP.

When you use the process without delivery:
1. You will not be able to show transactions as Sales
2. Finance needs to manually clear the balances in Clearing accounts in both the company codes.
3. If excise is involved, you will not be able to create any register entries.
4. Although this is a very short process, but there is no reference document like a STO.
5. You will not be able to give any new pricing components like freight.
