Hi - unless the Express turns out to be defective I would not return it yet - Apple did not screw up - I have 2 old Expresses and 3 new Expresses and they have no problems extending my Apple Extremes both wired and wirelessly - and since you have 90 days of free support with the new Express, I would contact Apple directly and explain your issues and see if they can help you - go to this link - http://www.apple.com/support/contact/

  • Extending standard doclet by subclassing: impossible?

    Hi,
    I'd like to extend the standard html doclet so that a class diagram appears just below the class name in every doc file.
    I want to do that for an open source project, so I have to do it in a way that allows the redistribution of the doclet.
    As far as I understand the licence, I can do that only by subclassing (because using the standard doclet source would prevent redistribution, right?).
    Problem is, the standard doclet in 1.5.0 has been designed so that it's almost impossible to extend by subclassing, because many classes have private constructors.
    I just need to add a link after the html generated by ClassBuilder.buildClassHeader(), but I cannot subclass HTMLDoclet because I would incur in the check AbstractDoclet.isValidDoclet(), and there's no way to change the HTMLDoclet configuration neither.
    In the FAQ (http://java.sun.com/j2se/javadoc/faq/index.html#sourcedoclet) you suggest that the preferred way to extend the standard doclet is by subclassing, but in my opinion you made every step to make it impossible in practice.
    Is there any way to achieve my goal, besides rewriting the whole doclet? (which would be not practical, it's an open source project and I'm working in my spare time).

    I don't share your vision of open sourceI would love to share your vision too. But the economics reality defies it! All we could do about that is just to understand the truth and to adapt to it (like engineers understand the physics and make the aircraft fly -- the thing seemingly to be impossible).
    If you really want to implement your new ideas, you won't be able to do it in your spare time... you will need huge a lot of resources for doing that. But who will pay you? A guy with money would never give you a cent without looking at his own benefits... Be sure!
    I'd simply buy yDocI know those guys quite enough... and that's exactly an example of a very much closed up company. We, on the contrary to them, are just looking forward for any integrations with the outside world !
    But anyway, thank you for your offer :-) Well. If you are able to program the generation of the diagrams like yDoc does, DocFlex/Javadoc will be free for you! We just don't have time to do that ourselves. We could provide you a partner license. There's an DocFlex Open API (not published yet, but it's coming just soon). You can create you integration that generates those diagrams and insert them into the generated docs using your templates (all you would need is just to adapt the existing ones!), and then use/redistribute the whole thing together with the freeware DocFlex/Doclet engine as you like, in the open-source form or not. Everything you would have developed by yourself is yours!

  • After a re-install, it is impossible in Photoshop CS4 Extended to give a preset size to the Crop Tool. How can I het it back?

    After a re-install of Photoshop CS4 Extended, because of problems with my iMac, it is impossible to give a preset size to the Crop Tool.How is that possible - and how can I repair that?

    Did you trash the Photoshop's preferences before re-installing?
    Reinstalling without trashing the preferences is futile, as you still have all the corruption there.
    Quit Photoshop now and trash preferences:
    Hold down Command, Option, and Shift keys while starting up Photoshop. A dialog box will appear asking if you wish to delete the preferences/settings file.  Click on yes.

  • Unable to extend lob segment SAPSR4DB

    Hi All,
    I am getting the error u201Cunable to extend lob segment SAPSR4DBu201D when i try to import any dependency into my SC or during the Assembly of my SCA. Then we go and increase the space of the table, it starts working.
    I would like to know how to resolve this problem and if there is any setting to be made so that the contents of this table are cleared automatically after being used?

  • ORA-01652: unable to extend lob segment . by in  tablespace .

    Hello.
    We have 2 application servers 10.1.2.2. Each have its own infrastrusture.
    We run report from form. On one AS report works fine.
    On the second AS we get error:
    ORA-01652: unable to extend lob segment . by in tablespace .
    Exactly the same message with dots.
    What do we need to extend? Tablespace of second AS infrastructure? But which tablespace?
    Thanks.

    Maybe the problem is in this procedure (procedure loads data from file system into database):
    create or replace PROCEDURE load_document
    (P_ID IN document.ID%TYPE
    ,P_doc_name IN document.name%TYPE
    IS
         source BFILE := BFILENAME('source_map', p_doc_name);
         where_to BLOB;
    BEGIN
         SELECT file INTO source
         FROM document
         WHERE id = p_id
         FOR UPDATE;
         DBMS_LOB.OPEN(source, DBMS_LOB.LOB_READONLY);
         DBMS_LOB.OPEN(where_to, DBMS_LOB.LOB_READWRITE);
         DBMS_LOB.LOADFROMFILE(where_to, source, dbms_lob.getlength(source));
         DBMS_LOB.CLOSE(where_to);
         DBMS_LOB.CLOSE(source);
         COMMIT;
    END;
    If we remove this procedure from form, we don't get any error from both application servers.
    Why does this code works with one AS and not with the second one?
    Thanks.

  • Photoshop cs6 opens on Photoshop extended windows. Impossible to open standalone program. I never suscribed to extended,. Photoshop extendes doesn't appear in my programs list.

    I have used Photoshop cs6 since two years without any problem. Yesterday, when trying to open it, a message appeared : "Internal problem in photoshop (code 16). Please reinstall photoshop.
    So did I. But now, when I try to open photoshop, a window appears with photoshop extended proposing to go to the net for subsciption. I say no, the window closes an that's all.
    I never susscribed to adobe extended programs and do neither have photoshop extended in my program list nor in the registery base.

    Thank you.  That solved that problem.  I still can't get Windows 7 to associate TIF files to Photoshop.  It's associated to it in Bridge, but when I try in Windows control panel, the file shows as being associated to Paint.  When I try to change it, Photoshop is not even on the list of available programs.  When I Browse to the directory and click Photoshop.exe, nothing happens. The association doesn't change and Photoshop does not appear as a choice.  So I have no idea what to try next.

  • Extend existing wireless network with airport express..impossible?

    I have tried to extend my existing wireless network with an airport express, but it seemd that I always need a ethernetcable...apple support insured me it is possible but the airport utility software only allows me to extend using a cable it seems....

    Couple of thoughts here.......
    The AirPort Express will only extend a wireless network if you have another Apple router providing the wireless network to be extended.
    Is your "main" wireless router an Apple product?  If yes, what model number do you have?
    It would also help if we could get the model number of the AirPort Express. Some older versions are not capable of extending a wireless network.

  • Whether it is impossible to get a lob locator by a select condition sql?

    Hi,
    guys, i have tried many times, in oraclc, if i insert a row into a table with lob object, for example, the clob. i can get the lob locator back by a reset which come from stmt.execute (select_sql) clause.
    however, if i insert thus record with other tools, for example, the sql_plus, i will never get the locator back even if i have commit it, it always said that it is a DBMS_lob ERROR while i connect a write stream to it.
    wer ist das? could somebody give me some tips?

  • Impossible to get access to my shared library with wifi extender

    Hi,
    Due to a weak wifi signal provided by my internent box, I have bought a wifi extender (repeater). Now my signal is good in all my house but when I am connected to the extender I cannot get or a very difficult access to my Itunes library. The name of the wifi network are not the same. The wifi from my box is called XXXXX and the other is called XXXXX_EXT. I have no problem to access at my library with the wifi from my box. Unfortunately, my apple TV 2 is too far from my box and I need to use the extender.
    Have you any idea to fix the problem ?
    Thanks

    Mikey,
    As Labviewguru said, calling a LabVIEW DLL is no different than calling any other DLL from C. You will need your LabVIEW DLL, the .lib and .h files for your C code and the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine for the version of LabVIEW that the DLL was built with. Other than that, everything else is the same.

  • NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT No video, need help getting repair under extended 4 warranty

    My macbook pro A1260 (early 2008) suddenly wont boot up - there's no chime or video, just all of the other usual signs of like such as the drive and fans spinning. Tried all the usual resets and checked the RAM was seated properly but no luck. I had this problem once before a few weeks ago and reseating the RAM suddenly brought it back to life and it booted up again. The macbook is fitted with the NVIDIA Ge Force 8600M GT chip that was decared as faulty but as the mac wont power up with video it's impossible to test specifically to see if the chip is at fault. I have seen many people on these forums with the same problem and a few lucky ones who had the repair done for free regardless of the lack of test possible. I have already taken it to the genius bar and sure enough they presented me with a diagnostic bill for 480euros to replace the logic board. I have heard that these chips can fry the rest of the logic board when they fail, can anyone who has had this confirmed please let me know? I am going back to the genius bar this weekend for a last attempt at persuading them to do it for free (it's within the 4 year extended warranty for this problem). I'd like to know how many people managed to get it repaired even if the computer wouldn't boot up to enable the test. Computer was working perfectly with the exception of minor pixelling at the top of a screen when watching a DVD, could that have been a sign? I know it's a long shot but any advice to help me build an case would be greatly appreciated. So frustrated!!

    From that article:
    No video on the computer screen (or external display) even though the computer is on.

  • When I launch I photo it wants me to choose a library but it doesn't find one which is impossible, because i still have no storage. before i can clean up i want to back up them. how can i find my library?

    When I launch I photo it wants me to choose a library but it doesn't find one which is impossible, because i still have no storage. before i can clean up i want to back up them. how can i find my library?

    You may very well have damaged your library - or even your system by not having adaquate storage available
    And never select all of the pitcture and move them - that will destroy your library - the iPhotolibrary is a SQLite database and must always be kept intact as a single entity -
    Moving the iPhoto library is safe and simple - quit iPhoto and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity to the external drive - depress the option key and launch iPhoto using the "select library" option to point to the new location on the external drive - fully test it and then trash the old library on the internal drive (test one more time prior to emptying the trash)
    And be sure that the External drive is formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) (iPhoto does not work with drives with other formats) and that it is always available prior to launching iPhoto
    And backup soon and often - having your iPhoto library on an external drive is not a backup and if you are using Time Machine you need to check and be sure that TM is backing up your external drive

  • HT203421 i buy a macbook air with my friend and i changed the apple id also.at first i can update the application but now its impossible to update the application.when i clock to update it shows the id of my fren andsomebody do you have idea to solve this

    i buy a macbook air with my friend and i changed the apple id also.at first i can update the application but now its impossible to update the application.when i clock to update it shows the id of my fren andsomebody do you have idea to solve this problem.

    The first thing to do with a second-hand computer is to erase the internal drive and install a clean copy of OS X. You — not the previous owner — must do that. How you do it depends on the model, and on whether you already own another Mac. If you're not sure of the model, enter the serial number on this page. Then find the model on this page to see what OS version was originally installed.
    1. You don't own another Mac.
    If the machine shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, you need a boxed and shrink-wrapped retail Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6) installation disc from the Apple Store or a reputable reseller — not from eBay or anything of the kind. If the machine has less than 1 GB of memory, you'll need to add more in order to install 10.6. Preferably, install as much memory as it can take, according to the technical specifications.
    If the machine shipped with OS X 10.6, you need the installation media that came with it: gray installation discs, or a USB flash drive for some MacBook Air models. For early MBA models, you may need a USB optical drive or Remote Disc. You should have received the media from the previous owner, but if you didn't, order replacements from Apple. A retail disc, or the gray discs from another model, will not work.
    To boot from an optical disc or a flash drive, insert it, then reboot and hold down the C key at the startup chime. Release the key when you see the gray Apple logo on the screen.
    If the machine shipped with OS X 10.7 or later, you don't need media. It should boot into Internet Recovery mode when you hold down the key combination option-command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a spinning globe.
    2. You do own another Mac.
    If you already own another Mac that was upgraded in the App Store to the version of OS X that you want to install, and if the new Mac is compatible with it, then you can install it. Use Recovery Disk Assistant to create a bootable USB device and boot the new Mac from it by holding down the C key at the startup chime. Alternatively, if you have a Time Machine backup of OS X 10.7.3 or later on an external hard drive (not a Time Capsule or other network device), you can boot from that by holding down the option key and selecting it from the row of icons that appears. Note that if your other Mac was never upgraded in the App Store, you can't use this method.
    Once booted in Recovery, launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the internal drive — not any of the volume icons nested beneath it. In the Partition tab, select the default options: a GUID partition table with one data volume in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. This operation will permanently remove all existing data on the drive.
    After partitioning, quit Disk Utility and run the OS X Installer. You will need the Apple ID and password that you used to upgrade. When the installation is done, the system will automatically reboot into the Setup Assistant, which will prompt you to transfer the data from another Mac, its backups, or from a Windows computer. If you have any data to transfer, this is usually the best time to do it.
    Then run Software Update and install all available system updates from Apple. To upgrade to a major version of OS X newer than 10.6, get it from the Mac App Store. Note that you can't keep an upgraded version that was installed by the previous owner. He or she can't legally transfer it to you, and without the Apple ID you won't be able to update it in Software Update or reinstall, if that becomes necessary. The same goes for any App Store products that the previous owner installed — you have to repurchase them.
    If the previous owner "accepted" the bundled iLife applications (iPhoto, iMovie, and Garage Band) in the App Store so that he or she could update them, then they're linked to that Apple ID and you won't be able to download them without buying them. Reportedly, Apple customer service has sometimes issued redemption codes for these apps to second owners who asked.
    If the previous owner didn't deauthorize the computer in the iTunes Store under his Apple ID, you wont be able to  authorize it immediately under your ID. In that case, you'll either have to wait up to 90 days or contact iTunes Support.

  • Issues with Yosemite and Safari on extended monitors

    I have Yosemite installed on a Mac Pro with 3 monitors attached to it.  As soon as I installed Yosemite, I noticed that whenever I tried to fill in text input fields on a web page, the things I typed in would start blinking.  And when trying to backspace to correct any typing errors, the field would remain the same and continue blinking.  It was very annoying because it was very difficult to enter anything into text input fields.
    My brother and an officemate who also had Yosemite installed on their computers were not experiencing this issue so I tried to isolate the problem on my system.  What I discovered is that Safari behaves as it should when it is displayed on my main monitor.  But whenever I move the Safari window over to one of the other monitors, any text input field on a web page would be next to impossible to type text into.  Other input fields, such as dropdown list boxes, act weird also.
    I should add that this only happens with Safari.  Firefox and Chrome do not behave this way on any of the monitors.  Other apps also run fine on the extended monitors.  It's just Safari that misbehaves.
    Has anybody else experienced this problem.  Is this a known bug?  I tried doing a search here in this community and on the internet itself but have not found anybody else complain about this issue.
    Thanks.
    ...Leo

    Hi all, I too am expieriencing similar issues.
    I am running a 2012 6core 3.33 Mac Pro with two ATI Radeon cards driving 3 27" LCD Cinema Displays.  One of the Radeo cards (1) drives the outer 2 screens and the other card (2) drives the centre screen alone.
    I upgraded from Mavericks to Yosemite 10.10.01 after being very pleased with it running on my Macbook Pro for a few weeks.
    My center screen had issues immediately rendering certain pages in Safari, the App Store and Mail.  In particular the google page when it has live search results showing, the App Store updates page also renders badly, and some emails in Mail that are html also don't load as the should.  Generally its the top of the page flashing, or the text input box on a page like this thats effected.
    I did a fresh install of Yosemite and it didn't fix the problem.
    I notice when I drag my safari window from the outer screen to either of the side screens, the problem goes away and returns when it comes back to the centre screen.  I swapped over the mini display ports so that graphics card 1 drives the middle screen and graphics card 2 drives the outer screens and the problem moved to the outer screens.
    I am still on Applecare so I called Apple and a senior tech took a look at the issue on my screen remotely.  He decided on replacing the graphics card.  This is being sent now so I report back once its installed to let you know if it made a difference.
    I am also going to try swapping out one of my cards with another colleagues card to see if I can establish if its a bug in Yosemite or an issue with a specific ATI card, or indeed just a problem when you run two cards.
    In the mean time I would be interested to hear if any of you guys found a workaround.
