Lobby admin cannot create the guest User

Impossible to create a guest user with the same name sa previously "the user already exist". Although the validity of the account has expired.
Even if the user does not appaer on the list of the user who still access the wlan, but the same user still have access to the network.
WLC2112, soft version: 7.0.98.
in advance THX.
cheers.

Just to verify.. please do tha testing..
1>> Create a new user Lobby Admin account..
2>> Create a new local net user for life time 2 minutes.
3>> Check on the WLC if the user exists.
4>> Wait for 2 minutes till the user expires.
5>> AT the time the user gets deleted, create the same usename from the Lobby admin account that you have created in the First step and see if we see any problem.
I just recreated the same and its working fine for me..
Lemme me know how this works out for you!!

Why can I not disable the guest user in the 10.8.2 update? I have never enabled the guest user, but after the update, it was automatically enabled with a "managed" tag. It is not selectable even after entering my admin password to unlock the options. I was able to select the account under "parental controls", but again, could not delete it. Why Apple? Why?!!????

SOLVED Ok. I actually was able to disable it. I had to actually log in as the guest user to make it accessible in the preference window. Then I disabled it and logged out. Apologies if this was obvious for some people, but I have had some sort of issue with something every update since Snow Leopard.

I have installed Adobe Lightroom CC.  In the process of launching, a popup appears, that says:  "AN INTERNAL ERROR HAS OCCURRED.  Cannot create the required folder:  /Users/(my user name)/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/Develop Presets."  So even though Lightroom CC is installed, it will not launch.  What do I need to do to allow it to launch?

The problem was solved today.  Here's the full story.  I'm a Mac user.  At first I installed Lightroom CC on my iMac (desktop).  I had this problem so I called Adobe, and was referred to a "special unit" .  After about an hour the tech solved it for me ... we did a screen sharing and she took control of my computer for a loooong time.  Because of language difficulties, at first I wondered if she knew what she was doing but she eventually solved it.  Although she couldn't explain exactly what she was doing, she summarized it by saying "it was a permissions problem."  I asked if I would have the same issue later when I installed it on my laptop (Macbook Air).  She said probably not.
But I did.  The same internal error popup arose on launch and launch did not complete on my laptop.  I tried chat but no joy so I eventually called Apple Care.  I had noticed that on my laptop (and the iMac for that matter), that there was no Library folder after my user name.  The Apple tech explained that the Library folder is actually there but it is hidden because it's very easy for users to do some very nasty things to their computer by going astray while in the Library folder.  The folder is actually there, but they hide it.  I did remember seeing that the tech helping me with my iMac had typed the work "Library" while she was controlling my computer.  Basically she had activated the hidden Library folder so she could open the path that Lightroom was trying to follow to create that "Develop Presets" folder.  For some reason, the inability to create that folder in the launch process was preventing launch from being completed.  The Apple tech said she didn't actually have to do that and activated the Library folder by use of the Go selection on the menu bar.  Anyway, once that complete path was replicated and opened, the next step was to go to the Lightroom Permissions field and add my user name to the user categories already there and enable "read and write" permissions to my user name.  Once done, I shut down my laptop, and then rebooted.  I launched Lightroom and then boom, voila, heavens to betsy, etc. it launched and suddenly a dismal weekend turned into a great one.
I am not a geek, so I hope this makes some sense.  I also hope Lightroom launches again tomorrow and beyond!

  • How can I create a custom environment for the guest user in Mavericks?

    Hello Mavericks insiders
I need to setup several new MacBooks running Mavericks for school use. We want to use guest because everything is reset at each login. However, I first need to permanently customise the environment for the guest user:
    - doing program first runs
    - adjusting printer settings
    - dock settings
    - wallpper
I think I have to copy certain library files in the Terminal. Which files exactly? From where to where? What is the correct Terminal syntax to do so?
    Many thanks in advance!

    Hello,
I am not sure how I wound-up in the server forum. I am using the desktop version of OS X 10.7.4.
    Thanks

New to the Apple and I want to set up a user account that will not delete the guest users files and allow and preserve their personal settings after log out. Is this possible?

The built-in guest user account will not do this. Simply create a new standard account and call it "Guest" or "Guest Users" or whatever you like.
Go to System Preferences > Users& Groups, click "+" to make a new account.

  • Windows 7 remote desktop connection cannot logoff the local user

Windows 7 remote desktop connection cannot logoff the local user
    Remote Desktop connection:
(This experience is from Windows 7 remote to Windows Embedded Standard 7 computer)
I used Remote Desktop to try to log on to a Windows 7 (WES7E) computer and someone is already logged on locally (Console Session), I saw a message like this:
"Another user is currently logged on to this computer.  If you continue, this user has to disconnect from this computer.  Do you want to continue?"
    I click on Yes.
Then I saw "Please wait for [username] to respond".  No action from the logged-on local user, I waited for 30 seconds, then I was able to login the computer and at the same time was able to disconnect the logged-on local user.
    Question:
    1. "Another user is currently logged on to this computer..." message doesn't show me the actual logged-on user name.  Is there any way to show the user name in this pop-up message?
    2. After waiting for 30 seconds, I was able to login the computer and the logged-on local user is disconnected, however this local user is never been logged-off.  I wanted to logoff the local user (with Console Session) when I made the connection remotely
to the computer from remote desktop (Just like Windows XP)  Is there any group policy can change the behavior?
The policies I have looked at are:
Local Computer Policy | Computer Config | Admin Templates | Windows Components | Remote Desktop Services|Connections|Deny
logoff of an administrator logged in to the console session => disabled
    Regards,
    Mei Davis

    Hi ,
These behavior is by design. There is no way to change that. Thank you for your understanding.

  • LR6 Cannot Create the Required Folder

I've just bought the LR 6 upgrade and uploaded it without any problems onto my iMac and MacBook Pro. However, when trying to open the software on my iMac, I get the following message: An internal error has occurred. Cannot create the required folder: '/Users/xxxxxxxx/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/Develop Presets, followed by An error occurred when attempting to change modules. I've tried clearing all traces of previous LR installations to no avail (there shouldn't be any because I recently had to clear my computer to its factory setting and did not reload LR after that). I've also tried to load the new software with and without the previous version (ie LR1) installed and receive the same problem. I'd be so grateful if anyone could help sort this out.

This matter was sorted out with the help of a Mac expert and Adobe Chat (thanks guys). It was complicated and many hours were spent on it. Eventually had to create a new User name to open LR 6.

  • Adobe PDF (Print) presets: "Cannot create the file. The folder may be write protected."

In Windows 8, this feature of InDesign CS6 only works for the local Administrator account:
File -> Export -> Save as type: Adobe PDF (Print) -> Save -> Save Preset... -> OK
If you try it with any other account this error message is given: "Cannot create the file. The folder may be write protected."
For anyone else encountering this problem, a workaround is to run as administrator.

Which permissions exactly did you set, how did you set them and what did you set them to?
The path to the Drop Box would be /Users/someuser/Public/Drop Box but you obviously wouldn't want the ownership and permissions to be the same on all four directories.
Have you tried using Disk Utility (/Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility) to repair permissions? That would probably be the best way to ensure they're correct.

  • Cannot create the sdcc-oss rfc in SDCCN

    Hi Gurus,
here when i am executing the SDCCN - settings - task  specific , creating the RFC ,
here it's showing the error cannot create the RFC . , how can i  create the rfc .
    Cheers.

    Hi,
in that case I suggest you create SDCC_OSS in sm59 by copying SAPOSS: sm59->ABAP connections->SAPOSS->Connection->Copy->enter SDCC_OSS in "connection" field->logon & security->Display<->Change->enter SDCC_NEW in user field->enter download in password field
    Then try to add SDCC_OSS to SDCCN: SDCCN->GoTo->Settings->Task-Specfic->RFC Destinations->Settings->Display<->Change->Add RFC Destination->click in "destination" field->F4->find SDCC_OSS in list->double-click on SDCC_OSS->enter
    best regards,
    -David.

  • FRM-12001:  Cannot create the record group (check your query).

I WANT TO ADD A RECORD GROUP IN PRI BUILD FORM THE QUARY IS VERY SIMPLE LIKE
    SELECT item_code
    FROM items
    WHERE active = 'Y'
    AND item_code like 'FAJ%'
BUT THE SYSTEM SHOW THE ERROR MESSAGE
Cannot create the record group (check your query).

Make sure the user connected to the database from the forms builder has the privilege of select from the table, or there's a synonym.
Try your query from SQL*Plus connected with the same user.

  • How do i get rid of the guest user account on my mac?

The guest user account keeps appearing on my login screen and i want to get rid of it, i do not want others to be able to access my account. How am i able to do this? I have tried to go on through the user section and nothing i seem to do in there helps. Please help!

You don't want to get rid of, it's a security feature. If someone steals your Mac, all that account permits is Safari access, no other access to the computer. This enables you to locate your Mac.

Restart the computer (with Parental Controls off) and try again. If there's no change, see below.
If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data, then reinstall the OS.* You don't need to erase the startup volume, and you won't need the backup unless something goes wrong. If the system was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you may need the Apple ID and password you used.
If you use FileVault 2, then before running the Installer you must launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the FileVault startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) It will be nested below another icon with the same name. Click the Unlock button in the toolbar and enter your login password when prompted. Then quit Disk Utility to be returned to the main Recovery screen.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
If you installed the Java runtime distributed by Apple and still need it, you'll have to reinstall it. The same goes for Xcode. All other data will be preserved.
*The linked support article refers to OS X 10.10 ("Yosemite"), but the procedure is the same for OS X 10.7 ("Lion") and later.
