Local change requests

Dear All,
One of transport request has ersides at
302-> Workbench -> Local change requests . --> When I release the Transport
request its didnot create a data and cofiles under /usr/sap/tans folder.
At the same time Transport request is resides at
302-> Workbench -> DMY Dummy->Released the request -> created the data and cofiles.
1. What is the Difference between Local change requests and DMY transport requests. ?
2. How to get the data and cofiles of transport request resides under Local change requests. is their any way to copy and create a new transport. If yes. How to copy and create a new transport request in sap R3 4.6C.?

I have mistakenly already released local transport request, Now status shows that released. And screen is not editable.
Hence I tried your second options.
Created the copy of "Local Change request" which I already released,

     XXXPK900207   XXXPADM       Repair (Changed from Unclassified)
         Object list of request
         Comment: Object list included
         Report source
First I released the reference Transport Request. Its released fine, then When I release the transport request it prompt a small window

I clicked the error button. found that below message on the screen.

Diagnosis
Objects in development class ZPN001 cannot be edited in transportable Workbench requests in the current system FNP. The transport routes are configured such that objects from development class ZPN001 can only be edited in local Workbench requests.
System Response
The function terminates.
Procedure
You have the following options:
If you want to transport objects in development class ZPN001 into the target TS1 once only, without changing the configuration of the transport routes, then create a transport of copies in the extended view of the Transport Organizer (Transaction SE01). Go to the request overview and choose Request/task -> Object list -> Include objects to include your objects in this transport of copies.
If you would like objects in development class ZPN001 to be transported generally into the target system TS1, contact your transport administrator. In this case, the configuration of the transport routes must be corrected in the Transport Management System (TMS). For details, see the documentation on the Transport Management System.

Local Change Request created in PRODUCTION needs to be moved to SANDBOX

I need to transport a request from Production (BWP) to a sandbox system (BS1), but when I create the transport it is created as a Local Change Request. How can I change it to a transportable request? I've checked the development class and it is correct. The package is ZBW and the transport layer is ZBD1. Please help.

Adding further to Santosh's suggestion....
Creating the transport of copies is the easiest option..if this is a one time activity...
Once the the objects are included from the Local change request to the transport of copies...release this...
Then move the tranport files at the OS level to the import queue of the Sandbox system....then in STMS of the SANDBOX..attach these file to the queue and then import it....

Local change requests being created for changing package info

Hi experts,
After a client copy of object into a new server whenever changes are being made to these objects local change requests are being created. i found that the above behaviour is because of the transport layer in the package, which was also copied during client copy, is of the old server. And when that was change to the one available in the new server the change to the package also got created as local change request. Now I wan this package to get transported to quality from development ( where the change was made). Please help.

Thank you for your suggestion. I Created a Tp copy and included the local change requests in them and gave target system as quality system. There were 2 requests as local change requests, only one of them took the intended change in the quality but for the other the change made in the development system was not refelecting in the quality system.

Tansportable request change to local change request by mistake

Hi,
I have a standard 3 system TMS, DEV,QAS, PRD
I delete the virtual QAS and active the transport route by mistake, and all the transport able request changed to local change request...
and now I have configured the TMS in the right way.
and can create the transportable request.
How can I move the old requests back?
From local chang request to transportable request?

I remeber doing something like this.
SE01--> Create a transport of copies request --->create new request ---> then to the new requset ---> go to the Request/task (menu item) -
> other request (here we can choose which transport we want to include in this new TR) .
I am not really sure why we choosed like Transport of copies and why not others.etc.
Even I need to read more about this.I remembered that this worked for us.

Need to change the local change request to development class for Process Ch

Hi
1.First delete the request which you collected the process chain as local object becuase you will not able to collect the process chian again.
2. Goto Tranport connector to collect the process chain again.
3. Select grouping option as necessary objects.
4. Drag and drop the process chain to the right hand side
5. After collecting the process chain, click on the package icon and give the package created for development class.
6. The system will ask for Transport request and save the PC in the Transport Request.

Default transport under Local change request

Dear Friends,
I am trying to transport objects from dev to QAS. i catch hold of the object, create transport request. By Default they are getting assigned to Local Change Requests instead of being assigned to Modifiable requests under target system. (in SE09)
how can i change the default from local change request to Quality.

this is what i am doing now. But, by default i want it to be set in Quality--> Modifiable.
Everytime going to settings and changing it does not seem to be a permanent solution.

Transporting local change request

Hi all,
I had updated an include (MV50AFZ1 - SAP standard one - used access key to change this) to copy STO header and item texts to delivery when delivey documnet was created. This was created as a local change request. My basis guy tells me that this request cannot be transported.

Go in that include and change it once thenit will ask for the package name to save , then save it in a package so that a new request will be created.
If it is not happening..
Then in the menu of ur include <b>goto->object directory entry</b> change the $tmp to new package,
then it will ask for the request...
or
else the best way is to delete the old local request.. then if u save it, it will automatically ask for the package and then u can able to create a requset...

Changing from local change requests to transportable

Hi gurus
i have a system that has transport system set to Local change Requests and would like to transport them into another system .The transports have been released .what is the quickest way to change this without redoing the transports?

did you configure STMS and transport route?
if yes then process as follows.
create new workbench request using SE10
SE10 -> create -> workbench request ->
give the description and target system SID.
select the request and click on include object ( ctrl + F11) check object list from request and enter you local transport request number. -> enter
release the new request and import it in target system.

Released the Transport Request which is in Local Change Request

Actually without knowing I have released transport requests which are under Local Change Request.Due to this they are not available for importing in Quality system.My Package is also there in one of those Requests.Now please guide me how to recover these requests.

Hello Karthik
The easiest way should be to copy the object list of your local request to a new (transportable) workbench request.
However, the system might tell you that your objects can only be put into a local request.
In this case you need to find out why your objects are not (yet) transportable.
Usually there are two reasons for local request:
1.) The request does not have a target system -> check the request header and enter the correct target system (if possible)
2.) Your package has an inappropriate transport layer assigned -> change the transport layer

i released local change request in my development server .but it is not showing request number in queue any another place. i want that local change request released request in quality server queue
is there a way to modification in released request .

Local change request will not create any request files (data/cofiles), you can create another request manually and add the object of the local request. SE09 --> create request --> select type of request (customization or workbench) --> type des and create new request.
expand the newly created request and select include objects --> and the appropriate request.
alternative is do minor changes in the program and it will popup you for new changes reuqest.

Troubles importing a change request

Hi experts,
Does anybody know how to import a local change Request into another system, in this case my QAS?
I was applying the following OSS notes:
1082441 Mexico Legal change Format-A29 SAPKH50020 12/02/2008

output. SAPKH50020 22/11/2007

But I do not know why this notes when I released the corresponding transports are released as local change requests, but then when I try to import them to my QAS system but I get the following error:
Error code 0247
Error : addtobuffer has problems with data- and/or cofile
Can anybody help please?

Hi Erik
go to Al11 on your QAS System. check the value of parameter DIR_TRANS and see that your data and cofiles for the TR Request exists on the same path.
This problem can also arise if there is some problem with the data/cofile, may be they are corrupt. try creating another test request.
when calling tp you need to specify a parameter file which contains tp specific statements. Usually this file can be found in /usr/sap/trans/bin. In former times it was called TPPARAM; at your system it may have the name TP_DOMAIN_LNX.PFL. This file can be created using transaction STMS ("system overview" -> double click on LNX -> choose "Transport tool" -> check and save the parameter).
Hereafter you should be able to execute tp calls by adding the parameter pf=/usr/sap/trans/bin/TP_DOMAIN_LNX.PFL
Also, you can try executing the command below
ln -s TP_DOMAIN_LNX.PFL TPPARAM* in /usr/sap/trans/bin

Transporting a change request created in SNOTE

Hello all,
I'm fairly new to all this so hopefully there's an easy solution to my problem. I've implemented an OSS note correction in our BW development system via transaction SNOTE. This worked fine and during this process I was prompted to create a new local change request and did so. My problem comes when I'm trying to transport this request to our BW QA system. I released the request in development but when adding it to the transport queue in QA I get an error:
"Transport control program tp ended with error code 0247"
Our transport system is currently working normally so I think the problem is with the request. Does this change need to be in a Customizing request or a Workbench request? Please advise.

Can I ask something about inactive object here?
I applied notes with SNOTE. But all objects are inactive.
When I activete them, The system requires accesskey.
How could this happen? And any solution for this?
I can't deapply the notes any more. coz it's bug fix for SNOTE.
If I do this, the system will be inconsistent, this happened beffore

How to transfer local workbench request to production server

Hi,
All my workbench requests are saved under local change request node instead of being in the production system node. How to release and transport these requests to the production server.

In SE01 check whether u have given value for target system or not.
Target system is ur production system .Check whether u have specified it in SE01 for ur transport request.
If u have not specified target system for ur Transport request it will be shown in Local Workbench request

Reg Change request

Hi ,
i am workin on SAP 4.0 B version, for few programs i have made some changes and when trying to assign a change request to the objects its by default creating a 'Local change Request'..
Tried to change the development class on advice of my basis consultant but it didn't allowed me to change that...and in the attributes i can find a Source systems such as T14 and D71 etc..is it something to do with the source systems...since we don't have the original systems now..
Is there anything we can do in table TADIR like making the repair flag as X and making the changes ??
Or something else i need to look into

Goto Tcode se03 .
Navigate to Object Directory --> change object directory entry.
type ur package and .
tick the Program and fill ur program name.
execute .
now click on arrow icon . change ur original system.
now u can change ur development class.
