Local Client Copy terminates in Dialog Mode
Hi friends,
As we are performing a local client copy (environment: ECC6.0 with Oracle on Windows NT)
i have started the local client copy in a dialog mode (as it is recommended to be run in background mode) if atall it terminated in a Dialog mode, then can i restart it from the point where it got terminated
or i have to start the client copy from the begining (starting a fresh) ...
Kindly put forth your suggestions...
Regards
Aayush

If you really want to run it in dialog mode you should increase the parameter
rdisp/max_wprun_time
using transacation RZ11 temporarily. Otherwise it will timeout.
If you restart it, it will detect where it stopped. If the copy can´t find the point it will delete the actual client and start from scratch automatically.

Local Client Copy taking too much time
Hi All,
I recently done a system refresh of my Quality server (restore PRD backup to QUA Server)
After that I have created a new client and has initiated a local client copy after the test run
went successful.
Then after reading approximately 4500 table it has got stuck and I saw in SM50 that table "ACCTCR"
was running since approximately 56000 seconds.
Then I run the program 'BTCTRNS1" to clean the work processes.
After that I again restarted the local client copy in restart mode.
Now since last 3 hours I can see in SM50 that table u201CACCTCR" is being sequentially ready for approx 500(under Actions) seconds and then delete for 15 seconds (under actions).
I also found that table size is also not increasing as well as same table is being sequentially read for 500 sec and then deleted for 15 seconds (under Actions in sm50) and program is also same.
This is happening since last 3 hours now.
Under SCC3 I can see the status as processing reset.
Does anyone face this issue ever? And can anyone suggest is everything is running OK or there is
some problem.
Your suggestions will be highly appreciated.
Regards,
PGHello,
Did you recalculate full DB statistics after the last system copy from PRD to QA ?
This is very often forgotten, leading to long elapse times in select statements.
Check via DB20 on table ACCTCR from when latest DB statistics date.
Eventually rebuild all indexes from ACCTCR, this can be done online via ABAP RSANAORA if you are running Oracle.
You can also perform an SQL trace on the current running process to see if the select from the client copy is running correctly.
I also know that ACCTCR is a table containing transactional data and most of the time it contains a lot of data.
II suppose you are running a client copy with profile SAP_ALL on QA based on a copy of PRD ?
This means that you will end up with 2 production clients in QA ?
Is your QA system sized for this ?
Another question that you can ask your client, is data from ACCTCR really needed on QA on both clients.
If not it is maybe better to start an archiving based on SAP Note :
Note 83076 - MM_ACCTIT: Archiving programs for ACCTIT, ACCTHD, ACCTCR
Followed by a new client copy.
Success.

Can not perform local client copy
Hi Expert,
I am not able to perform the local client copy for newly created on production server as system not accepting standard password 'PASS' for user SAP*.
Same is working fine at IDES server.
Please help
Thanks
GauravHi,
Make sure there's a profile parameter: login/no_automatic_user_sapstar = 0 and then restarted?
U can change the parameter by:
Execute T-Code RZ10 and the select default.pfl form the list of profiles avaialable
then go to edit mode and then click on create
Give the name of the parameter and its value and then save the profile
then it will ask you to activate the profile, Now just click on Ok, it will done
Restart the system and it will work fine.
Or
Just go to RZ10>>>>select instance profile>>>>extended maintanance>>>>change>>>>change the value for parameter>>>>>copy>>>>back>>>>>save&activate
Thanks

Condition record's not getting copied in local client copy !!!
Hi ALL,
I have a one question/doubt regarding local client copy.
Our functional team creates condition type (for e.g.: thru FV11 for MM) in one client (golden), when I take client copy of that client with SAP_All profile, but condition type is not getting copied in the new client.
I found for Sap notes, in one note it was suggested that change documents are not copied with any profiles.
I found in FV11, there is one option, Send Condition, thru which we can send by Logical systems, but its giving error msg u201CNo relevant partner system DEVCLNT300 exists for output category COND_A
Message no. VJ000u201D
Can u pls suggest proper way to copy/transport condition record in new client created?

Local client copy giving trouble SAP ECC 6.0
Hello All,
I installed SAP ecc 6.0 Implementation version. Then created 100 client as Development and 200 client as Golden client.
Our Functional people are using 100 client for development activities.
Now Functional people need sand box client 300.
Created 300 client by using 000 client, user ddic. Using transaction scc4.
Logged on with 300 client, user sap*, p/w pass. Gone to sccl transaction trying to copy 100 client data to 300 client.
BUT IT IS SHOWING

Short text -

What happened?
The program SAPLSDBI_DYNSQL has exceeded the maximum permitted runtime with out interruption and has therefore been terminated

Can we create a local client copy for the RFID Client in discovery Box
Can we create a local client copy for the RFID(400 Client) in the Discovery Box,and if created which profile we have to select for the client and also at a time we can work on these both client or not .
This isn't possible with Live Mail. Acrobat has an add-in for Outlook (which you've used), but there is no similar function for Live Mail.

Unable to do the Local Client Copy
Hi, Experts
I have created a new client, and i have logged on that client and doing the local client copy. When I see the client copy log the client copy got cancelled.
When i check the log i am getting a error saying "The System's Time Zone Cannot be Determined. Enter it Using STZAC."
The time zone maintained in INDIA.
Thanks & RegardsHello
Perform some checks
Please make sure that SAP time is same as the time on the operating system
Also make sure that u maintain time in the original client i.e the client which u r copying
Also I would recommend that you first delete the new client, then maintain all setting for time zone through the note 667169 and then again try client copy
hope it help

If I go down to the database level and look within the Oracle database dba_tables the tables and objects exists within the database but SAP is unable to recognize them. All objects were imported with a Oracle Data Pump dump file and now I just need help in getting SAP to recognize the tables.
Edited by: Adam Gendle on Feb 19, 2010 12:29 AMHi,
Its showing inconsistency between ABAP Dictionary and the database.
Have you run Test-Run before performing actual client copy ?
Please check the Consistency of affected Tables.
SE11 -> Display Table -> Utilities -> Database Object -> Check
(check DB Object as well as Run time Object)
Please refer this [SAP Note 686357 - Table pool length incorrect after Unicode conversion|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/686357] to get more information. The relevant solution is mentioned there if the pool tables having inconsistency with VARDATA field.
Also refer SAP Note 1171306 - Error with pooled tables when copying a client.

I had a look at sap note 1248769 and it mentions that the reconstruct-option is only liable for transparent tables. This seems to be right, as the option "Reconstruct" is greyed out in tx SE14 when we try to.
Any other options?
Jan
PS. Sorry for hijacking the thread, but it seems the topic starter is still looking for an answer as well
Edit: Found another SAP Note which seems relevant: 1171306. This note has the following segment in it:
If you still want to remove the inconsistency, you can proceed as described in the following. However, the table must be empty for you to be able to do this (you can check this with the report NROWS: start the report NROWS, enter DVPOOLTEXT for "Table 1" on the selection screen and choose Execute.)
1. Call transaction SE14.
2. Edit DVPOOLTEXT.
3. Delete the database table.
4. Create a database table.
If the pool is not empty and the data is required, it must be unloaded in advance and then read again after you have recreated the table.
Ofcourse we would like to preserve our data in the tables. Let's take a look at an example in our system: Table A017. This table has encountered the DDIC error during client copy. We have performed the following analysis actions on it:
Report NROWS mentions 116.390 entries for table A017.
In SE16 table A017 has 0 entries.
In SE14 I have performed two checks: The runtime object seems ok. When I check database object in SE14 the system returns the following message: "Table is not created in database".
Any tips?

Local client copy with warnings and errors
Hi ,
I am doing a local client copy and is still running . There are a few large tables which have not been copied successfully and is shown under "Warnings and Error". The tables show "Program Cancel (See SM21)". In SM21 , I find the workprocess was disconnected from the database.
Now my questions is , once all the remaining tables complete , will I be given an option to repeat the copy for the failed tables only. The system is 6 TB and it is running for more than 15 days now.
Please suggest.
Regards
Ratnajitwill I be given an option to repeat the copy for the failed tables only
No, it doesn't ask you to repeat copy only for failed tables.
The system is 6 TB and it is running for more than 15 days now
What is the requirement to do such BIG client copy?

Please help ASAP, as this is effecting our testing team. I have tried to copy individual tables also using a transport request number and SCC1 to copy it to the target client. This is also taking quite a long time.
Thanks in advance,
AbdulHi Abdul,
What does your system log say ?
Check this SAP Note
Note 579783 - CC ERROR: Loss of data - table not copied
run the report RSCC_VERIFY to check if the table is consistent within the source client.
SAP will only provide support for RSCC_VERIFY messages if there is a specific problem in an application in the target client that can be assigned immediately to the messages.
RSCC_VERIFY is delivered with SAPKB46B49, SAPKB46C35 and SAPKB46D24. In older releases, you can create the report in the ABAP editor (transaction SE38) in accordance with the attached advance correction. Use the development class or the STRM package for this.

I am facing the errors in table /SAPCND/CC_GROUP_WS_NG belonging to component AP-PRC-CON. It says post processing required.
The oss note says about component FINB-TR-DERIVATION.
I am not sure whether it is good to run the steps as mentioned in oss note 1235955.
Thanks for your response and look forward to further help.

Antarpreet
