Local EAP + stand-alone HREAP ?

What version of WLC software supports local EAP in stand-alone HREAP mode? Does 4.2M support it? I can't seem to find anything om 5.x/6.x release notes, and can't currently upgrade to test.

nevermind, I found my answer, I need 5.0 to support that
Controller software release 5.0.148.0 contains two new hybrid-REAP group features:
Backup RADIUS server-You can configure the controller to allow a hybrid-REAP access point in standalone mode to perform full 802.1X authentication to a backup RADIUS server. You can configure a primary RADIUS server or both a primary and secondary RADIUS server.
Local authentication-You can configure the controller to allow a hybrid-REAP access point in standalone mode to perform LEAP or EAP-FAST authentication for up to 20 statically configured users. The controller sends the static list of usernames and passwords to each hybrid-REAP access point when it joins the controller. Each access point in the group authenticates only its own associated clients. This feature is ideal for customers who migrate from an autonomous access point network to an LWAPP hybrid-REAP access point network and do not need to maintain a large user database nor add another hardware device to replace the RADIUS server functionality available in the autonomous access point.

  • Download LR 5.5 as stand-alone

    Hi,
    I am using LIghroom 5.4 and have heard about the updated version 5.5 which I would like to download and install as it worked fine since I started using LR as from version 3.
    I want to use it as a stand-alone program and have no interest to join the Adobe cloud.
    How and from where can I download the latest update without installing the cloud desktop software?
    Update:
    found the solution myself:
    I went to the download page , pressed on the the windows version of LR 5.5 (german in my case). This opened up a text page with links. Here you scroll down (press page down couple of times) until you see Downloads, and here you press "Proceed to download" which will download the 920 MB exe file on the local harddrive.
    I got frustrated because I missed that I had to scroll down so far, so all I ended up a couple of times was the cloud installer.
    For amateurs this is not the way how I will continue. I will stick to LR as long as it is offered as a stand-alone program. I am not willing to go into the cloud and make it a cash cow for adobe....
    best regards,
    Matthias Brand

    You don't need to be attached to the cloud constantly for the newer versions to work. They only have to connect once every four months or so. I believe they also offer enterprise/government versions that don't require a connection at all, but you would have to contact Adobe sales to find out about that. Also, you can pay in yearly increments instead of monthly (and there may be more options for government versions).
    The only perpetual licenses you can get are for CS6 and equivalent versions, but nothing newer.

  • Ni-daqmx stand-alone matlab

    Dear all,
    I am about to compile my matlab code into a stand-alone program, which works fine. However, as soon as I start the data acquisition the program fails to initialize the DAQ-board.
    I'm using the NI-9201 USB-ADC in combination with the NIDAQmx driver.
    I localized the problem: When trying to initialize the ADC the program fails, since the required dll's are not available. I also localized the dll's and copied them into reach for the stand-alone, but it doesnt work.
    As long as the MATLAB\toolbox\daq\daq\private folder is reachable for the programm/Windows, the software works. However, on the custumers computer I dont want to have MATLAB installed (what sense does it makes to have the option for distributing a stand alone version if the customer has to buy a MATLAB licence?).
    Can anybody help me solving this problem?  Are there any dll's I may copy into reach of the stand-alone?
    (Just as information:  The NI - Measurement and Automation was installed on the "customer-computer", In fact it was the exact same computer with the only difference that I renamed the MATLAB folder)
    I'm looking forward to your suggestions!
        Bastian

    The MTALAB toolbox of question is the dataacquisition toolbox, everything else works fine
    The Matlab run-time is not the problem in generell, since everything except of the NIdaqmx-dll's is linked in the program. Here a short description how it works in matlab.
    - you write code, GUI's etc. and test the program in Matlab
    - then you compile the application into a stand-alone
    - if you hand it to a thrid person that has no Matlab licence, you also distribute the MATLAB-Runtime-Environment (MRE)
    - the person installes this freely-distributable MRE on his computer and then runs the compiled program
    All functions in the program are able to run, except of the NIdaqmx. As soon as I the program tries to communicate to the ADC (i.e. open a channel) the program fails. However, when I provide the dll's mentioned in the exact same directory as they were in Matlab, it works. So I'm not sure what tells the MRE that the dll's are in that folder, since it didn't work, when I just copied the dll's in the run-time directory of the stand alone.
    Since the program that I would like to distribute is quite complex, re-writing the hole thing in LABView is not an option for me (also, I have no experience with LabView at all, which would require some time to get into it).
    The solution I aim for would be:
    1st (best solution)
    I just do something in the program to have the dll's compiled and linked to in the stand-alone
    2nd
    when installing the program I provide the dll's. (But I dont want to provide them in the folder ..\MATLAB\...\daq\daq\private\...)
     If you dont have the experience with matlab, do you know someone I could ask for this?  Maybe a Matlab forum that addresses NI-ADC questions?
    Thank you for your support!

  • Cannot install Applcations in Stand-Alone Media image

    Since updating from SCCM 2012 R2 to CU3 i have not been able to get our Stand-Alone media to work.
    The Task Sequence is running fine until it gets to the install of the SCCM client. The installation of the client runs and then it restarts and then it runs it again, but when the task is done it goes to the login screen of Windows and ignores all the steps
    which comes after the client install.
    I have put in some alerts in order to find out exactly where is fails and the alert which runs prior to the client install is shown but the alert immediately after the install is never run.
    I am beginning to supect that the client install is failling.
    I have updated the package on the DP wihthout success.

    Hi Martin
    Could you try adding a delay in the task sequence after the reboot, I have experienced a number of problems with SCCM 2012 R2 and reboots in task sequences. Microsoft Premier Support recommend creating a 5 minute delay. A shorter one may resolve the problem,
    I would recommend trying this first.
    The other thing to check is how are you preparing you boot media are you using a usb, if so is it formatted to NTFS or FAT32, I would always recommedn NTFS

  • Install "use typical installation options for a stand-alone primary site" All SQL Prerequisites Failed. Checks SQL before SQL is even installed?

    So I select the install option to "Use typical installation options for a stand-alone primary site" which says it includes installation of SQL 2012 SP1 on the local server.
    But then during the prerequisite checks it fails every SQL check.
    Is it just me or a giant catch 22? Am I missing something here? How is this over looked if it is what it looks like? Why even have this simple install option if it can't work?

    Take a look at my R2 install guide. This is for a stand alone primary. As Torsten states you pretty much need SQL installed and configured correctly prior to running the ConfigMgr install - along with  a few other pre-reqs.

  • Purchase Order in Stand Alone Scenario

    Hi experts
    i'd like to know if is possible to create a Purchase Order in SRM 5.0 (stand alone scenario) with position "Limit".
    I'd like also to know if is possible to create Purchase Orders with 2 or more lines.
    I'm sure that is possible to creat Shopping Cart with position "Limit".
    Regards
    Andrea

    Hi Olga,
    Are you creating RFQ from scratch or from Sourcing Cockpit ?
    If from SOCO, the Bid data can be completed with originating SC data. Otherwise data needs to be completed.
    Have a look at "processing bids" part of bidding engine help:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm50/helpdata/en/d3/133dcd5641b244a60578baa996a597/content.htm
    It is stated that in case of contract creation, you have to complete the "user-defined" contract item to add data, for example product or vendor product number.
    For PO creation, there is nothing about "user-defined" items.
    I analyzed this process in an SRM 5.0, and it looks correct: added items are passed to the PO.
    For local PO creation, all the logic is done in BBP_QUOTE_PO_CREATE.
    Here are steps for SRM 5.0
    - read quote details (items and additional items)
    - read RFQ details
    - retrieve RFQ long texts
    - fill PO header and complete it with ACS & BUK attributes of connected user
    - merge normal & supplier added items (GOOD !!!!!)
    - process items
    - complete partners
    - process texts
    - process attachments
    - BADI to determine purch group
    - create the PO with BBP_PD_PO_CREATE
    So it should work.
    Debug this process starting with function BBP_QUOTE_PO_CREATE, or open an OSS message.

  • PI 7.0 Java stack config of the stand-alone server to  new cluster system

    Hi colleagues,
    we have a PI installation in stand alone server (SAP with abap +
    java and Oracle in the same server)
    The system number of the ABAP stack is 00, and we are conecting to the
    Java stack to the for example the URL
    http://hostname:50000/rep/start/index.jsp
    We have installed a new PI in a MSCS and in some weeks, we´ll have to
    copy the database and configuration of the stand-alone server to the
    new cluster system. In the SAP PI installation on the MSCS, we have
    confirmed that with the ABAP stack, we won´t have any issue because the
    ASCS has the system number 00 (message server), so we only have to
    install a SAP system in each nodes without care these new system
    numbers because we are configuring a Logon group but the question is in
    the Java stack... The SCS (service in the cluster) has the 01 system
    number...
    What is the best way to keep the same URL to the Java stack that in the
    stand-alone server? (remember:
    http://hostname:50000/rep/start/index.jsp )
    Have we to install a Webdispatcher in the MSCS and one Java stack in
    each node of the cluster? we think that is right but we have a lot of
    doubts about the URL, the files of the Java (if they are stored in
    local disk in one node, how are they replicated to the second node?)
    and so on....
    Could you give us any suggestion to make the "migration" from the stand-alone to a cluster in a transparent way for the users?
    Thanks in advanced and kind regards !!
    Victor

    Thanks a lot.
    For information
    Our central SLD is on a standalone system
    However slave SLD (to ensure autonomy and HA for production XI system) will be deployed on Java separated hardware system of Xi production system.
    On master SLD all systems are described and all machine are linked with it (SLDAPICUST) except production XI one
    On slave SLD, all data of master one are replicated and only XI system is linked with (SLDAPICUST)

  • Reports server: cannot start stand-alone servers

    I have 9iAS 9.0.2.0.1 on RedHat Linux AS. When I try to create/start a new reports server (using rwserver.sh), I get "REP-50001: Server is initializing", but it never starts. My in-process server works, but I can't create any additional servers.
    I've made the changes suggested in MetaLink Doc ID 214310.1. But, I still cannot start a stand-alone server.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    The problem was with vncserver. Once I started it with
    "vncserver :15 -nolisten local -httpd ${VNC}/classes -cc 3", it started up.

  • Stand-alone JNDI lookup of an EJB in an Enterprise Application (EAR) build

    Hi All,
    I am having some difficulty doing JNDI look up an EJB 3.0 Bean that is part of an Enterprise Application (EAR) build. Below are all the related codes:
    package ejb;
    import javax.ejb.Local;
    @Local
    public interface Hello1Local {
        public String getHello1();
    package ejb;
    import javax.ejb.Stateless;
    @Stateless
    public class Hello1Bean implements Hello1Local {
        public String getHello1() {
            return "I am Hello1 Bean!";
    package ejb;
    import javax.ejb.Remote;
    @Remote
    public interface Hello2Remote {
        public String getHello2();
    package ejb;
    import javax.ejb.Stateless;
    import javax.ejb.EJB;
    @Stateless
    @EJB(name="ejb/Hello1",
         beanInterface=Hello1Local.class,
         beanName="Hello1Bean")
    public class Hello2Bean implements Hello2Remote {
        @EJB private Hello1Local hello1bean;
        public String getHello2() {
            return hello1bean.getHello1();
    There is no problem looking up Hello2 Bean using an Application Client such as the following:
    public class LocalHelloApplicationClient {
        @EJB(name="Hello2")
        private static Hello2Remote hello2Bean;
        public static void main(String[] args) {
            System.out.println("hello2Bean.getHello2(): " + hello2Bean.getHello2());
    }There is also no problem doing JNDI lookup (from a Stand-Alone Client the same bean if both Hello1 and Hello2 were created by themselves. ie not part of an Enterprise Application (EAR) build. However, I am wondering whether it is possible to do JNDI lookup of the same bean (Hello2) that is part of an Enterprise Application (EAR) built. Below are the type of JNDI lookup entries that I have tried without success:
    public class StandalonePojoCallHelloWorld {
        public static void main(String [] args)
            try
                InitialContext jndiContext = new InitialContext();
                Hello2Remote hello2Bean =  (Hello2Remote) jndiContext.lookup("ejb.Hello2Remote");
                                                                     or
                Hello2Remote hello2Bean =  (Hello2Remote) jndiContext.lookup("LocalHelloEnterpriseApplication.Hello2.remote");
                                                                     or
                Hello2Remote hello2Bean =  (Hello2Remote) jndiContext.lookup("LocalHelloEnterpriseApplication.ejb.Hello2Remote");
                                                                     or
                Hello2Remote hello2Bean =  (Hello2Remote) jndiContext.lookup("LocalHelloEnterpriseApplication.Hello2Remote");
                                                                     or
                Hello2Remote hello2Bean =  (Hello2Remote) jndiContext.lookup("LocalHelloEnterpriseApplication.LocalHelloEnterpriseApplication-ejb.Hello2Remote");
                System.out.println("hello2Bean.getHello2(): " + hello2Bean.getHello2());
            catch (javax.naming.NamingException ne)
             ne.printStackTrace();
    They all came up with the same error message:
    javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: LocalHelloEnterpriseApplication.LocalHelloEnterpriseApplication-ejb.Hello2Remote not found

    Hello
    I've somme problems to get access to ejb interface from remote stand-alone client.
    Here is my EJB code :
    package stateless;
    import javax.ejb.Stateless;
    @Stateless(name = "TestSB", mappedName = "ejb/stateless/TestSB")
    public class TestEJBBean implements TestEJBRemote {
        public String getMessage() {
           return "Hello EJB World";
    }And the remote interface :
    package stateless;
    import javax.ejb.Remote;
    @Remote
    public interface TestEJBRemote {
        String getMessage();
    } In client side, i just edit main.java like this :
    package testclient;
    import java.io.FileInputStream;
    import java.util.Properties;
    import javax.naming.InitialContext;
    import stateless.TestEJBRemote;
    public class Main {
        public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception {
            Properties props = new Properties();
            props.load(new FileInputStream("jndi.properties"));
            InitialContext ctx = new InitialContext(props);
            TestEJBRemote testEJB = (TestEJBRemote) ctx.lookup("ejb/stateless/TestSB");
            System.out.println(testEJB.getMessage());
    }here is my jndi.properties file (my glassfish server IP is 192.168.0.10) :
    java.naming.factory.initial = com.sun.enterprise.naming.SerialInitContextFactory
    java.naming.factory.url.pkgs = com.sun.enterprise.naming
    java.naming.factory.state = com.sun.corba.ee.impl.presentation.rmi.JNDIStateFactoryImpl
    org.omg.CORBA.ORBInitialHost = 192.168.0.10
    org.omg.CORBA.ORBInitialPort = 3918when i run client on the same machine than the glassfish app server, it works fine.
    But i run it on the different machine than the glassfish app server (on the same LAN without firewall), it fails with this error message :

  • Server side script not running on stand-alone XE

    Hello,
    In my application I created a Server side script (AJAX) which presents a select-list based on other fields on the page. The very same application runs on a 10g+APEX3.0.1 database AND on a standard XE+APEX2.1 database, which are both accessed via a HTTP-server. The application with the script runs fine on this platform (XP).
    I have two other XP-machines on which I also installed XE+APEX2.1. Both are stand-alone versions NOT accessed via a HTTP-server. I installed exactly the same application which runs on the platform with HTTP server on both of the machines. While testing the correct functioning, I noticed that everything works ok, EXCEPT the server side script which gives me a better select list. Instead of this I get the old-fashioned version of the select-list which is not able to use the value elsewhere on the page.
    I found a similar problem on the XE forum (Re: Server side scripts features ) but it doesn't answer my question how to get the script working on a standalone version of XE (= without access via a HTTP-server).
    Can anybody please help me?
    Thanks & regards,
    Jan.

    Carl,
    Thanks for your suggestion to install FireFox and the Firebug tool (which I wasn't aware of).
    After having looked at the problem for hours, I found what I think is the problem: the htmldb_html_elements.js script.
    As already mentioned, the properly functioning XE on my local PC is accessed via a HTTP-server, as well as the 10gR2+APEX3.0.1 version also running on that PC.
    On the laptop, not running HTTP-server, I get the message: <br>
    <FONT COLOR="RED">$x is not defined <BR>
    <FONT COLOR="BLUE"> f_21_select_kpn<FONT COLOR="RED">(<FONT COLOR="BLUE">input<FONT COLOR="BLACK">#P21_GBREKNR 405<FONT COLOR="RED">, "P21_KOSTENPOST") <BR>
    <FONT COLOR="BLUE">onblur<FONT COLOR="RED">(<FONT COLOR="BLACK">blur <FONT COLOR="RED">)
    </FONT><BR>
    That is in the 'Console' of Firebug.
    When changing to Script I do see a remarkable difference.
    On the PC there the following text is found in the first lines of htmldb_html_elements.js:
    /*htmld_elements will contain the lower level html access js*/<br>
    var gDebug = true;<br>
    var gkeyPressTime;<br>
    var gLastTab=false;<br>
    var gRegex=false;<br>
    var ie=(document.all)?true:false;<br>
    if(ie){document.expando=true;}<br>
    var gDebugWindow = false;<br>
    /*<br>
    $x functions have to do with either single elements or array of elements<br>
    $v functions have to have to do with manipulating values or interaction based off a value<br>
    $xml function have to do with manipulating xml values<br>
    $a functions are based on ajax<br>
    $d functions are specific dhtml constructs<br>
    */<br>
    /* begin $x functions */<br>
    function $x(pNd){<br>
    try{<br>
    var node;<br>
    ...<br><br>
    On the laptop however the first few lines are:<br><br>
    /*htmld_elements will contain the lower level html access js*/<br>
    <br>
    var gDebug = true;<br>
    var gkeyPressTime;<br>
    var gLastTab=false;<br>
    var gRegex=false;<br>
    if(document.all){document.expando = true;}<br>
    // Elements //<br>
    <br>
    function html_GetElement(pNd){<br>
    try{<br>
    var node;<br>
    switch(typeof (pNd)){<br>
    ...<br><br>
    I think that the difference is in these two scripts.
    But why are the scripts different: it is the same XE that is installed on the laptop and the PC.<br>The answer I found in the images/javascript directory of APEX3.0.1 which is located in the APACHE directory-tree (you have to copy the images to APACHE when you use the HTTP-server). And indeed: the htmldb_html_elements.js has exactly the same text as what I see in Firebug on the PC. So XE on the PC is using the javascripts in the image-directory of APACHE on the PC and not the XE-version of the scripts, embedded in XE.
    <br><br>
    So the answer seems to be: copy the APEX3.0.1 versions of the script over to the PC and try to get them into the database. Or...???
    <br>
    Can it be loaded into the database? Will XE accept it?
    <BR><br>
    Would be nice to have answers if the conclusion I found is the right one and if it can be fixed by loading the js into XE.
    <br>
    Best regards and thanks for your help so far.

  • T's possible to use the jsp to develop stand-alone application?????

    Hello everybody, I would like to know your considerations about this topics: It's possible to use jsp to develop stand-alone application that will be not run on the server but on the local machine?There are some negative aspects on make this? Thank you for your reply

    i don't think you could ever protect the jsp code and it wouldn't do you much good to bother anyway, since anyone with a browser can just "View Source" and see all the HTML on the page anyway.
    the only thing you would want to protect is your java source. you don't have to distribute the .java files with your application, just the .class's. you could try and obfuscate the .class files, but a determined person will always be able to reverse it back to a .java program and read it. it would take a bit of work and knowhow though, so figure out how smart the consumer is going to be and if they will be able to figure out how to reverse .class files back to .java

  • How to change std set up to get a stand alone APO 4.1 without R/3 linkage.

    Hello,
    I have been looking for documentation/advise regarding the severing of the linkage of an APO system from and existing R/3 system so that it becomes a stand alone system.
    Let me explain.
    We have recently been bought out by a larger global company who have their own SAP system and are currently incorporating our system into it (DP/SNP & PPDS).
    However the global company sees that the our Demand Planning Statistical Forecasting functionality is a local process as they do not use it, so it will not be taken within the global system.
    This would mean that we would loose the statistical forecasting functionality, but we would like to keep it as it is fit for purpose and gives very good results.
    What is being proposed is that the current APO system linkage be severed from R/3 as the execution will no longer be taking place as SNP an PPDS will be in the new system.
    Then we want to set up the remaining APO system as a stand alone client just for Stat F/casting with no linkage with R/3, but linkage for the correct date with interfaces only from non R/3 systems.
    From what documentation i have seen so far, it can be done. we just want to know what would be the best procedure to do this and what are the likely problems we will encounter.
    Can anyone assist with this.
    Regards, Nathan Marchington

    Nathan, you could get your basis group to break the link between your SCM system and R/3 through deleting rfc connections in SM59.
    Of course you'll have to delete integration models on the R/3 side to stop data from being sent to your old APO system. It will cause an outbound queue once the connection is broken.
    On the APO side delete you publication settings in SPRO to stop various txn elements from being sent out to the now disconnected R/3 system.
    Cleaning up txn data would keep the system neat. Various ways that you can do this.
    If all you are using is DP you can set the deletion flag on the product master once all of the txn data is gone and delete materials if you want to stop any processes other than DP being carried out.
    Good luck,
    Chris

  • Stand-alone (slow) boot

    Hi, I've got Arch installed on a R50p thinkpad.
    Yesterday I booted stand-alone (no network cable attached) and I notices the boot pausing long on the "starting network".
    Can this be tweaked? Can the "boot process" sence that there is no cable attached so you don't have to send the dhcp-client on a ghost-hunt.
    Or is there a boot-parameter I can use. An extra lilo-entry dedicated for a quick stand-alone boot.

    Solved. It was another "it's all covered in Arch, just find out how" lesson for me.  Just activate the network-profiles as described here: "http://quiet.unixcorps.org/?p=5"
    So I can boot "standalone" now. This triggers a next problem: In my rc.local I've added this
    /usr/bin/ntpdate ntp.xs4all.nl
    Right! I don't want that when I boot standalone, so I've got to  code this within a conditional block....
    My solutution would be to grep the output of ifconfig and look for 'eth0'. If not found not execute the ntpdate.
    But.... I'm sure there is a more elegant solution. Any ideas?

  • Upgrade GI from 11.2.0.1 to 11.2.0.3 on Stand alone DB

    Hello,
    I want to upgrade GI/ASM from 11.2.0.1 to 11.2.0.3 (out of place). RHL5
    I did not find any link regarding the exact upgrade. I will be highly thankful, if you could answer my simple questions.
    - Pre-requisite patch to install to 11.2.0.1 GI_HOME on Standalone before upgrading?
    - from the 11.2.0.3 NEW_GI_HOME, I will invoke ./runInstaller and choose upgrade GI/ASM for Standalone, and following the steps, thats it right, no second time GUI for example ASMCA or ASMUA
    - I am confused here that will ASM instance be upgraded also within the same GI upgrade GUI steps or do I need to start again GUI from new GI home with ASMUA option or so?
    Thanks a lot for your inputs in advance.

    Hi John-MK,
    1. Install Oracle GI software only.
    2. To configure Grid Infrastructure for a Stand-Alone Server run the following command as the root user:
    /u02/app/11.2.0/grid/perl/bin/perl -I/u02/app/11.2.0/grid/perl/lib -I/u02/app/11.2.0/grid/crs/install /u02/app/11.2.0/grid/crs/install/roothas.pl
    [root@server> / ]#/u02/app/11.2.0/grid/perl/bin/perl -I/u02/app/11.2.0/grid/perl/lib -I/u02/app/11.2.0/grid/crs/install /u02/app/11.2.0/grid/crs/install/roothas.pl
    Using configuration parameter file: /u02/app/11.2.0/grid/crs/install/crsconfig_params
    Creating trace directory
    LOCAL ADD MODE
    Creating OCR keys for user 'grid', privgrp 'oinstall'..
    Operation successful.
    CSS appears healthy
    Stopping CSSD.
    Shutting down CSS daemon. ===> delete old CSS daemon (11.2.0.1)
    Shutdown request successfully issued.
    Shutdown has begun. The daemons should exit soon.

    Adding Clusterware entries to inittab
    dwmdm 2012/07/26 16:18:48 /u02/app/11.2.0/grid/cdata/dwmdm/backup_20120726_161848.olr
    Successfully configured Oracle Grid Infrastructure for a Standalone Server
    3.$ps -fea | grep d.bin
    4. crsctl check has
    5. crsctl stat resource
    6. Delete LISTENER (11.2.0.1) - NETCA
    7. Create LISTENER (11.2.0.3) - NETCA
    8. Run ASMCA to upgrade 11.2.01 to 11.2.0.3. (ASMCA will detect a 11.2.0.1 ASM instance and set the new GRID_HOME for new ASM instance 11.2.0.3).
    9. Click UPGRADE ASM.
    Is best practice upgrade ASM with ASMCA, not with OUI-Oracle GI
