Local password logins fail

Hi we have 2 users who cannot log into their local machines because the password is not recognised on either machine. We had each machine set up to have an Admin account, localuser account and the user's own named account. The only account that seems to work on either of these machines is the original account set up which has admin rights. Any ideas? Is it something to do with netinfo? And is there a nice whizzy command-line fix? Many thanks.

You need to log in as root and delete the 99 folder that will appear in the user's home directory on the local machine. If you using Open Directory you may need to amend the details in the user's server account that directs the user to the 99 folder.

Hi All,
This is my first attempt in installing XI.
I have installed SAP Web AS 6.40 ABAP+Java System and am trying to install XI now.
I can also confirm that my J2EE engine is up and running. I ran the J2EE example on HTTP using port 50000.
Here is my basic config:
VMWare with Windows 2003 Server SE, 60Gigs dedicated HDD space, 2Gig RAM, MS SQL Server 2k Enterprise SP4.
My Problem is that when I run the "XI Installation" from "NetWeaver Components Running on Java" I get asked for my SAP System Account's (user: l01adm) password. I know what my password for System account is, but for some reason I get "Invalid Password" error message from SAPInst GUI program.
Since I am very new to SAP Web AS and XI, there could be quite a few reasons why this is not working.
Could anyone please shed some light my direction regarding the possible things that could be causing my problem?

In Portal Anonymous mode - Change password option not coming- login fails

Hi Experts,
We are having some application which requires login in anonymous mode. When we click the application and give the user id password, it loggs in properly, there is no problem in that.
But if the password is reset by administrator, then when entering the reset password given by admin it should ask to change the password. This is happening in normal scenario(/irj/portal), but when try the same in anonymous mode(irj/portal/anonymous) where the prompt is from the login required application, then it says login failed instead of giving the change password and confirm password screen.
Appreciate your help in solving this issue. I hope many would have faced similar situation.

Hi Yusuf.
Do you use a standard or custom login module for your application?
More likely the used login module does not have a logic that handles such scenario as a change of user's password.
In this case you need to implement a custom module with a required functionality.

Have you logged on to the webmail account using a browser and enabled either Pop or Imap forwarding for that email address?
Have you created a mail account in Thunderbird that uses the chosen webmail forwarding option?
Password - make sure caps lock is not switched - it must be the same password you use to access the webmail account.

If you still have access to your old email address, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email account and verify it. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device. Try the following:
delete the iWeb preference files, com.apple.iWeb.plist and com.apple.iWeb.plist.lockfile, that resides in your Home() /Library/Preferences folder.

If that doesn't help continue with:

This might be due to The 'Oracle Instance' path may not have been set to a path relative to the 'CSS Bridge Host' (i.e. the Foundation Services machine) on the Configuration > Host Machines > CSS > General tab of the DRM Configuration Utility.
if this is the case then
1. Open the DRM Configuration Console.
2. Go to the Configuration > Host Machines > CSS > General tab of the DRM Configuration Utility.
3. Ensure that the path in 'Oracle Instance' has been set relative to the 'CSS Bridge Host' (i.e. the Foundation Services machine defined in 'CSS Bridge Host').
4. If corrections are made to 'Oracle Instance' then restart the DRM services to pick up the change.

Sounds like you may have deleted something you shouldn't have. Boot to an OS X DVD or a bootable backup, and using Disk Utility, do a repair disk, and while there repair permissions. Disconnect any peripherals, and reboot. If you get the same startup behavior, do a safe boot, by holding the shift key down when booting. If that works, try a normal boot. If neither step helps, you may need to relaod your operating system.

I am developing a small tool to collect the performance data and save the data in a central database, as you can see the end servers could be in different domains, the weird thing is the tool is running successfully on our servers in two different domains,
when run it on the third domain(our new environment), it always complains the login failed error, I found it might be related to the Integrated Security setting in the connection string, if I change it to false, the tool cannot work on all environments, but
no matter what value I use(SSPI,TRUE,FALSE), it just failed in the new environment, I have tried to use the same login in ODBC/SMSS on this new environment, all working fine, the instance name, database name are correct, everything is correct in program, it
doesn't work on this new machine.
My environment is windows 2012 R2 .Net 4.5

There are two different errors from error log.

Mac App Store login fails, but Apple ID/password is correct.

OK, I just went to get an App, and login failed repeatedly (5 times). In between, I went to iTunes and opened up my account info, which required login, which worked. Same on iCloud on my browser.
Now, I go back about 10 minutes later, and now suddenly the Mac App Store login works.
Weird.

Local Radius Authentication - Fails

Access Point 1230AG (c1200-k9w7-mx.123-2.JA)
Client Adapter ABG (PCI)
I am new to Wireless Lan configuration with Aironet products (first project). I am configuring an Access Point for a small LAN and i can not get local radius authentication working. The password always fails if I try:
test aaa group radius xxxxx port 1812 new-code
although the password is matching..........
another thing is that in the configuration, it always defaults to 'nthash' mode. is this normal? in other words if i type:
radius-server local
user dgarnett password xxxx
when i do a 'show run' it displays as
user xxxx
I also get the following during a debug:
There is no RADIUS DB Some Radius attributes may not be stored
any help greatly appreciated

Just as an update.......I set this up authenticating to an external (ACSNT) Radius server and it authenticates successfully. But still will not for the local dbase. My goal is to use the Corporate ACS as primary and the local as backup. I think my problem has to do with the Radius attributes 24 (State) and 80 (Message Auth). I also think that it points back to the NTHash stuff. Please advise as I am not new security practices and wireless, but I am new to Cisco Wireless networking.
