Local Test site will not transfer files to prview in browser

I designed a web site in DW the remote site works/views correctly, but the local testing site index page will not preview below the header in any browser with the files it need to view corrrectly.
I am working on a mac 10.6.8 using DW 5.5. I had my local testing server working correctly viewing these files from a browser for about 1.5 year then it stopped working and stopped transfering some files from the index page.
The activity report lists all the files that were not transferred.

Just to clarify, you have defined a Local Testing Server in Dreamweaver.
What are the setup details for your testing server?
You have installed either MAMPP, XAMP or WAMP on your computer.
Are you sure your server is running?
Does your index page contain valid code?

SFTP Recieve location will not transfer files.

Using BizTalk 2013 SFTP Adaptor. We have currently 40 transfers that are either sending files to a server or receiving files from a server via the SFTP connection.
Send port portion that is using the SFTP adaptor is working fine. The receive location will work when we have only one transfer enabled at a time.
When We enable multiple SFTP receive locations the BizTalk server doesn't receive any files or generate any alerts or error.
I have created a new SFTP adaptor on our second server, with a test file transfer. I have created 16 files to transfer if works but I only receive 9 -10 files out of 16. The remaining files are not transferred.
I have changed the worker threads for the SFTP adaptor, no effect.
The sa account that we are using has full permissions to the location.

The send port and the Receive ports are properly configured as far as User name password file path , etc.
Changing the Host to 32 bit only seem to work for a day. I was up to transferring 60 +files. as of this morning 4/21/2014 this has stopped transferring.
Host Instance settings: >NET CLR Is set to: maximum Worker threads 200, minimum worker threads 5, Maximum IO threads to 250 and Minimum IO thread 25 default setting s for throttling.

AVCHD will not transfer files over three minutes

I was able to use Voltaic software to transfer all but two of my clips, the ones longer than five minutes refused to transfer.
FCP: I used the log and transfer function and was still unable to transfer those clips plus several more. The clips play fine in the window.
I want to avoid buying anymore software, having already spent money on Voltaic and FCP Studio 2

How is the drive you are importing them to formatted? Fat32? That has a 2GB to 4Gb limit.

Hi,
I'm new to this board and trying to transfer pictures and videos from my Blackberry Bold (work one with T-mobile) to
my PC. I tried to do it by using media card reader and was sucessfully able to most of the files
but for some reason a few of the photos will not transfer as they are saved as jpeg.rem files
on my media card. Any ideas why would some of the pictures would be save in a different format
and any suggestions how to transfer them?
I have the same issue with the videos..out of 20+ that I have on the device memory i was only
able to copy about 5 that are in .gp format...rest of them will not open as it appears to be encrypted.
I also have a blackberry curve (with AT&T) as my personal phone...would it read my media card from the
Blackberry Bold?

The .rem files indicate these files are encrypted. This article should help.

New Keynote will not save files to our local network.. help?!

The new version of Keynote will not save files to our local network at work and keeps telling me I don't have permission to save on our network. I can save to my desktop no problem. I am working on Mavericks and the latest edition of Keynote.
I have permission to acess all files and it doesnt happen with any other programmes im working in.
Any ideas?! It's driving my crazy.

Flash site will not run with Safari on a Mac

A friend has helped me to develop a simple web site in Flash
which I use to manage my photo galleries, which are created with
Lightroom or Photoshop. I am familiar with most of Adobe CS3 except
Flash or Dreamweaver, but I can get by with just editing text and
uploading new galleries, so the site works really well for me.
Unfortunately I have received feedback from people using
Safari or Camini browsers and the Mac OS that the site will not
open. They just see black and the message "Get Flash". The site
works great on a PC using both I Explorer and Safari.
I have no knowledge of how to overcome this problem and not
having access to a Mac, no way to "fiidle about" and experiment. I
would very much appreciate some advice from anyone in the know. The

In the Publish Settings window, in the HTML tab, at the top
of the window under the "Template" option is a second option:
"Detect Flash Version". Check this box. The AC_RunActiveContent.js
file will contain a couple of functions that will test the user's
plugin version. If it doesn't pass the test then the html page will
show a message telling the user to get the Flash plugin and a link
to the plugin.

My site will not load in design view?

I can not figure this out for the life of me but I am hoping someone here can give me a simple solution. I have spent endless hours trying to figure out why my site will not load when attempting to open any of the template or html files of my local site in design view. They open fine in Code view but when I click on design view, I get an hour glass that only goes away if I close dreamweaver using ctrl + alt + delete and use the task manager to close the process. Any web pages outside of my actual site open fine so I am not sure what is causing the issue with my site itself? I have opened the template and have deleted all the code from it and attempted to view the file in design view and still get the same problem. Is there perhaps something simple that I am overlooking? My site worked fine in design view several days ago and I can not think of any changes that I made that may be causing the problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the entire adobe suite and I am still having the issue.
I am running on Windows Vista and have 4 gigs of ram and a 2.6 Core Duo processor if that helps.
Please help me out here. Really would appreciate any help you can provide!

I am using Dreamweaver CS4 and I tried deleting the config folder. Still no luck...
Eerything opens fine except for files fom my site. I have deleted the site from Manage Sites and recreated it but still am having the same problem.
When I delete the Configuration folder do I have to reset it up some how? Why is dreamweaver rendering all my other files outside of my site folder successfully in desgn view and not giving any other files an issue? I really hope I can get this resolved soon.

What happens when you try?
Try a restart.
Do a backup, using either Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure files/data can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.
Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work. The intent is to see if it is specific to one account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.
Isolating an issue by using another user account
Try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account. Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up after waiting 10 seconds. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear and again when you log in. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don’t do them all at once.

And they were definitely purchased from the iTunes store, they show on the account's purchase history (Store > View Account on a computer's iTunes, or you can view the last 90 days purchases via http://reportaproblem.apple.com) ?
You could potentially log into the account on that computer's iTunes (Store > Sign Out to log out of your account, that will then change to a Store > Sign In option) and redownload them by clicking on the id towards the top right of the iTunes screen and Purchased on the popup :
But that will potentially tie that computer to that account for 90 days : Manage your associated devices in iTunes - Apple Support
Or do you have a different computer that you could redownload them on and then copy them over to that computer via a flash drive or memory card, and then add them to its iTunes via File > Add To Library ?

Trying to create a new playlist but several songs are marked with exclamation mark and will not transfer into playlist - any advice?

I have never had trouble creating playlists before but quite a few songs will not transfer and ate marked at the side with an exclamation mark. I know ZERO about technology so if you can help me in very simple language, I would be very grateful! I am wondering if it may have something to do with the fact that I have had to start new accounts when I have moved countries, on order to be able to use the credit card of the new country in the Itunes store of that country... I am in Aus and have bought a lot of tunes here but last year I was living in Brunei and, in order to use my brunei credit card ( as it was the only one with money in it) , I had to set it up as different to my Aus account. Could this be the issue? prior to Aus my account was in Ireland. I have paid for all these songs but it seems I cannot now use some of them... Please help!!! The exclamation mark next to a song means it is no longer where iTunes is looking for it. iTunes won't let you add such "missing" songs to a playlist. Possible reasons for a song going missing are that you or some third party software has moved or deleted it, or a folder that contained it, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter, or a configuration file has changed making iTunes look in a slightly different place from before.
Select one of the songs with an exclamation mark, press CTRL+I to Get Info, say no when prompted to locate it, then note down the location from the Summary tab that begins file://localhost/ - please post back this path as given. Hopefully you can find the file this entry in your library is supposed to be connected to. Assuming you can please post back this path as well. These two items of information may suggest a fix through folder manipulation or a configuration change.
If things have got a little more disorganized then, as long as the tracks still exist to be found, my FindTracks script should be able to reconnect them to iTunes. FindTracks uses some fuzzy matching routines and searches for multiple potential locations. For more details see this thread. Start by selecting the tracks of a single album and then run the script. Your media folder should normally be detected automatically, e.g. as C:\Users\<User>\iTunes\iTunes Media, but you can edit the path if it is wrong or a particular batch of lost files are stored at another path. If it works as expected you can then move on to fixing the rest of the library in bigger batches.

Mp3s in Library will not transfer to iPod

Yesterday I used Real Player plus Audio Hijack pro to download a series of BBC comedy programs (from BBC7). The MP3 files were stored on my desktop. I double clicked each one and iTunes (v 5.01) opened and imported them into the library. I dragged them into existing playlists where they played perfectly on the computer.
I then connected my iPod photo and it went through an automatic update. Two of the newly downloaded files did not appear on the iPod. When I "get Info" about the files that did not transfer, they are located in the folder: iTunes Music: Podcasts: Unknown Podcast: file1.mp3 and similarly for file2.mp3
Each one appears as an MPEG audio file with format MPEG-2 level 3. Several other Real Player downloads from the same source work fine on the iPod. They are also MPEG-2 level 3 but are in folders other than "podcasts: unknown podcasts.
No matter what I do, for example deleting the two files from iTunes library and then dropping them manually on the library or on the playlist, they end up in the same unknown podcast folder.
Is there some specific reason why two of my files would go into this "unknown podcast" folder ? Is this the reason they will not transfer to the iPod? Is there some way of forcing them into the music folder? (No they do not show up under the Podcast playlist).
Am I on the wrong track completely?

Thanks for the suggestion. I have checked the two offending files and there seems to be nothing different about them. They were digitized at 64 kb/s - the same as the others made on the same day which transfer to and play on my iPod. I have even selected them in the iTunes library and used Advanced--> convert to MP3. They get resampled and converted to 128 kb/s (and the size of each file doubles) but the result is still the same - they go into the Unknown podcast folder and will not load on my iPod.
The thing that seems to be different about them is that they automatically go into the podcast folder rather than into a music folder.
The iPod is using version 1.2 software and my iTunes is version 5.0.1

Saturday Night Live - Gilda Radner will not transfer!

I purchased most of the Saturay Night Live videos tonight, and all downloaded without a problem. They all copied over to my 60GB 5th Gen iPod, except for "The Best of Gilda Radner". I get an error that "Some videos were not copied, including "The Best of Gilda Radner" because this file cannot be played on this iPod" (Or something to this effect).
The video won't transfer.... i can play the video in iTunes for windows, but it will not transfer to my iPod. Has anyone else had a problem with this file?
I'm using the latest iTunes for Windows, and I have put over 150 videos on there already with no problems - just this one!
Any way to FORCE it onto the iPod? Manually dragging it over wouldn't work either.
Since I SPECIFICALLY bought these videos to watch on the iPod, I asked for a refund (11.99!) This was the one I REALLY wanted to watch ont he way to work tomorrow!

ITunes will NOT transfer purchases made via Apple TV - ATV HD is now FULL!

For an unknown reason, All of my recent PURCHASES made via Apple TV remain on ATV as they will NOT TRANSFER to my iTunes. Now my ATV drive is full.
No changes have been made to either configuration.
The only update that was installed during this period was to BootCamp.
Please fix this issue. It's been around for a long long time.

Problem still exists. Have tried all suggestions that I have found so far on the web.
Resetting is not an option as I live in a RURAL are where the local ISP charges by Gbytes transferred.
The only option I see at this time is to hack the ATV to accept a USB drive and manually transfer.

I'm looking for a possibility to use the iPad for photography while traveling, without the access to a computer.
Shooting photo's in RAW format crates pretty big files that will fill up the iPad's memory pretty fast if you shoot a lot during a (let's say) month long trip.
my idea was to use load the photo's to the iPad so i could view them and sort out any bad ones. then copy them over to the storage device so i can continue using my CF cards for shooting. I have an image thank for copying the photo's directly to the HDD but it would be so sweet to be able to check them on the iPad before hand.
any suggestions?
