João Dimas - PortugalHi,
Please check the Note 1144208 - TMS Tendering: Inconsistent tendering template
Settings under the Transport Management System do follow the steps.
All the below settings has to be done in satellite system not solution manager
1. Define Transport Routes for System Landscape
Go to Transaction STMS
Choose Overview -> Systems.
Double-click each system.
The Display TMS Configuration: System <system ID> screen appears.
Select the Transport Tool tab page.
If the entry CTC does not appear in the Parameters column, enter it there, and then in the Value column, enter 1.
Save your entries.
Configure Transport Strategy
Go to Stms Transaction
Go to Menu Overview Transport Route
Doule click on Each System
In the Transport strategy group box, select Single transports
(since only Import Single and Import Project All are used).
In the Quality assurance group box, deselect Delivery after confirmation
1. Choose Continue.
Activate TMS Trusted Services
Go to Stms Transaction
Choose Overview -> Systems.
Choose Goto -> Transport domain.
In Management Tab
In Security Options group box
Click on Trusted Services Active
Go to QA Approval Procedure
You should not assign any QA approval system there
Save your Entries
Call Transaction STMS.
Choose Overview Systems. The system overview appears.
Choose SAP System Create Domain link.
The dialog box Request for Linking 2 Domains appears.
Enter the system name, host name and system number of the domain controller you want to link to, and then confirm your entries.
Your SAP System performs the following actions automatically:
o Generates the required RFC destinations.
o Sends the address data of the controller to the controller in the other domain.
You can now see that you have requested the domain link to the other domain in the system overview.
Click the Distribute and Activate TMS Configuration ICON on the Application Toolbar
After that Go to SAP System Check Connection Test, transport directory and transport tool
Check all once whether it is having inconsistency.
4.Check Configuration of Transport Domain
Log on to every domain controller that is connected to your transport landscape.
Call transaction STMS
Apart from the information "You are logged onto the domain controller", you should not be able to see other messages or warnings.
Generate RFC Destinations to Client 000
Call Transaction SMSY.
Go To Landscape Components
Go to your Satellite System
Click on the Domain Controller System
In the Right side Tab strip, Click on the Clients, Select 000 client Click on RFC generate Button
Give the User name for Read Access and Change Manager
Click the OK Button to Continue
Add Import Authorization to Operator/Administrator
Make sure that the operator and administrator users in client 000 of the target systems have the same name as their user in the Solution Manager system.
Assign import authorization to the operator and administrator users in client 000 of the target systems (SAP_CHANGEMAN_OPERATOR and SAP_CHANGEMAN_ADMIN roles).

Jabber client using local TMS/VCS account
I have TMS configured for both AD and local accounts for Jabber accounts. Once I added the AD accounts i could no longer authenticate using the local accounts. Is there a way to use both local and AD authencation for jabber?
Thanks
RBThanks for the response.
You are correct. The error occurs over time after a user has logged into the client. We've had a variety of issues with with out VCS/TMS/Jabber deployment so it's hard to pinpoint exactly when this started to occur, but it was working at one point. If i recall corrrectly, this started to crop up after we had to rebuild our provisioning database after an OpenDS failure on the TMS server. TMS agent diagnostics (both local and for VCSc) complete without error currently. The error received by a client when searching for an entry that is known to exist is 'no exact match in phonebook'. Here is a screenshot of all settings we are currently provisioning..... -
Hello everybody,
I had install the IDES ECC 6.0, Now i want to configure the TMS then I have planned the client like
800->customizing
500->backup (means only copy the change request)
550-->Quality (Same as backup but here i will test all the configuration)
600-->PRD( like final producion)
Then, How to configure TMS?
which transport route is set and hows?
when i am trying to configure then i get message like
Delivery with source system IDS & source client 800 not allowed
Will anybody please send the step by step proceudure to configure the right TMS configuration
Thanks
GaneshHi,
I am bit cofused about the client, are these clients in same system or different systems, if the clients are in same system, then
Any way you will save the customizing changes you have done under a change request number, then login into the client which was present in same system and execute the t-code SCC1, here you have to select the change request number that you wanted to import from other cleint and the source client number and execute, the changes will be transferred into this cleint(note: this was case when both clients in same system).
If you wanted the change request to be transported into client which was in other system(you need TMS configured by now), the you have to release the change request in the source system client and using STMS you can trasnsport the change requests to the target system into tghose clients, you need to trasnport this way to all cleints in target system.(Note: once change request is released you cannot add any modification in that Change request, need to create new request again)
for backup of your customizing cleint, make a new client in source system and using local client copy process you can have backup of your customizing client(decide local cleint copy frequency yourself for this), if you wanted to take backup into some other system you can do it by remote client copy.
apart form your SAP level backup, you should always backup your entire system onto tape or some other system ikn co-ordination with your IT team.

UCSM 2.1 Local disk configuration policy and raid volumes
Hi!
If i use Any configuration as local disk configuration policy and do the raid settings directly to the RAID-cards, am i able to have two raid volumes on C-series under UCSM management?
What i would like to do with C240M3 with 6 local disks: 2 disk raid1 and 4 disk raid0
So i would use:
"Any Configuration—For a server configuration that carries forward the local disk configuration without any changes."
As UCS servers Raid guide indicates:
"Maximum of One RAID Volume and One RAID Controller in Integrated Rack-Mount Servers
A rack-mount server that has been integrated with Cisco UCS Manager can have a maximum of one RAID volume irrespective of how many hard drives are present on the server. "
Is this paragraph limitation of GUI not able to set several volumes or hard fact without "Any configuration" workaround?I did some testing about this issue:
Changed Local Disk Configuration to "Any Configuration"
Two virtual disks can be created from Raid card's WebBIOS
These disks are visible to RedHat Installation.
UCSM shows Any configuration for the Storage Local Disk policy
Actual Disk Configuration has faulty information - WebBios is the only place to check the RAID status?
Next step: I'll do the same for the production -

I'm using Netbeans 4.1 and when I tried to deploy and run the project I get the
No local string defined -- inconsistent module state error
This error showed up after I added a Stateless Session Bean using a Timer Service. Unfortunately, even after I got rid of the Stateless SB the error remained.
Does anyone know what this error mean and/or how to get rid of it?
Thanks in advance,

I looked at the log file and what I noticed is that when the server is comming up it generates a couple warnings like:
default-locale attribute of locale-charset-info element has been deprecated and is being ignored. Use default-charset attribute of parameter-encoding element instead
I don't see any warnings when the apllication is being deployed except the Severe error mesaage No local string defined -- inconsistent Module State
Any ideas how I can clear the warning? -

Webdispatcher with load-balancing and local icm configuration
Dear all,
we have a webdispatcher in place to load-balance the requests to our three application servers (ABAP). The webdispatcher has a hostname that is resolved by the DNS. The application servers use local hostnames that can't be resolved in our infrastructure at the moment.
That configuration works fine for all requests that reach the infrastructure from outside.
But, if a user logs on with SAP GUI and then calls a web transaction like a webdynpro, the browser opens with the local application server hostname. However that hostname can't be resolved.
Is it possible to change the three local icm configurations in a way that all local generated web requests refers to the webdispatcher too? What is the preferred configuration for this more or less usual scenario?
Thanks in advance,
DanielHello,
In your scenario, I would try to create entries in table HTTPURLLOC. After that the 3 app servers should generate URLs using the SAP Web Dispatcher.

Hi,
I'm in the process of installing solution manager. I've managed to run saprouter & to logon to sapnet. Now i'm having a hard time configurating the TMS.
My conf is the following Solution manager & SAProuter are both installed on the same machine. I want my solution manager to be the transport system.
I use STMS, then i get prompted for Description, transport domain name & description.
After fulfilling i can either save or do "other configuration" => there i'm asked a
-Target host :
-System number :
-User : TMSADM
Can i have some info about target host & system number : target host would be my solman installation so should i enter SOLUTIONMAN-SRV as target host & system number 00?
If i don't enter those information & continue with the basic entries, i
- Check the RFC connection : working fine
-In overview=>system when checking the Communication tab, in transport domain my controler is my solman system, but there is no backup or workflow engine : what should i enter?
In RFC Adress i have the user TMSADM , but no snc name : somehting to do here ? The snc active is unclickable : but i'm actually using SNC so should i change something ?
How to check if the TMS configuration is stored in the transport directory?
How to check the transport profile tp is generated ?
Can't access the worklist saying "Workflow not active" : some insights ?
In overview=> transport routes => Configuration => Standard configuration : i can't select "single system" but if i follow the SAP documentation i'm supposed to have a Single system configuration.
Hope you can help me !:Hi Blanchard,
As per your requirement you have to enter the following entries in the TMS Conf.
-Target host :<HOSTNAME of the TARGET SYSTEM>
-System number :<SYSTEM NUMBER OF THE TARGET SYSTEM>
-User : TMSADM<STANDARD USER>
Target Host and the System Number should be the System which you want to target,
i.e As you are Configuring TMS in Solman so your Target Host and the System number should be your ECC or SRM or whatever
Systems which are in Landscape.
The Path of the Transport Profile which is being generated is in E:\usr\sap\trans\bin--> TP_DOMAIN_SID.PFL
And If Any Doubts regarding this kindly go through the link.

Hope this will help you out

TMS Configuration problem - SET_CODEPAGE_FAILED
I have just installed a new system "CRM 7.0/NW 7.01". The first thing I am doing is configuring TMS in client 000. When I try to distribute the configuration I get an error: TMS Configuration could not start transport control program TP. SET_CODEPAGE_FAILED.
I looked at all the previous posts and have done all the prework: ENV variable dbms_type = ora and I upgraded the kernel to current.
In TMS I don't get an error when I check the connection or when I check the transport directory. It only happens when I check the transport tool. Here is the error message from the dev logs:

Local Directory Configuration with out LDAP
Hello Experts,
We are in the processing of setting up E-Sorucing application. Do any have experience on setting up the Directory configuration using a local driver.
It talks about placing the password.properties file in the folder esourcing/config. Has any been able to configure this. Need inputs and pointer for content of the password.properties as well as appropriate settings in the direcory configuration.
Thanks is advance,
BR, JithHi Jith
When you are using local directory configuration without LDAP, you need to follow the procedure below
If no LDAP connection is available, you can temporarily use the local driver to
maintain user account passwords in a flat file, password.properties, located in
eSourcing/config. This should only be used as a temporary solution for sandboxes or
development systems, as you cannot go into Production mode with a directory
configuration using the local driver
Incase the file password.properties isnt available in your eSourcing/config folder, you need to do some settings as mentioned below, the password.properties file gets generated automatically.
Local Directory Set up
Use this configuration when connecting to a real LDAP server is impossible, inconvenient, or undesired.
Property Setting
External ID Enabled
Display Name Disabled
Usage Active Buyside
Driver Local
Directory Username Enter any text, such as n/a
Directory Password Enter any text, such as n/a
UID Schema No value is needed
Changeable Passwords Enabled
Expired Passwords Enabled
New Accounts Enabled
Browsing Disabled
All Controls Disabled
Properties No values are needed
Let me know if the issue is resolved, if this is successful and your SMTP is configured correctly, you will receive the welcome mail from the application for a Buyer Account that you created at that point.
