Location aware browsing puts me in a different city and state. Can I manually set my location?
I tried using location aware browsing for several websites, including http://m.goplaysavetriangle.com/nearby_merchants/list
At one point I was able to force a manual location which was correct, but today that is no longer working. I am in Raleigh, NC, and the browser thinks I am in Arlington, VA.
How do I force a manually entered location for this?

You can turn off location aware browsing by going to the configuration settings. Type about:config in your browser window. Find the setting geo.enabled and double click it to set it to “false.”
To give a different location, you could try using the Geolocater extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/geolocater/

For location the iPod uses the location nearby wifi routers that are in Apple's data base. You do not have to be connect to the router.
Thus, it appears that the router the iPod is using does not have the correct location in Apple's database. Apple continuously updates their database based on data it obtains from iPhones. No one has found a way to tell apple to correct/add a wifi router to their database. -
The problem continues with yahoo weather.
Is there something else I can use for desk top weather??I have had this same problem since Firefox updated the other day. Prior to the update, my home page Weather panel showed my local weather (Santa Clarita, California) and major international cities. My Weather panel now shows Richardson Texas, but I live in Santa Clarita California, and despite changing it a number of times and doing the locate my address thing, it always reverts to Richardson Texas every time I open my browser now.
This is a First World Problem I know, but it is still irritating. Any ideas on how to fix it?
I just tried the suggestion above and went to "https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/forecastfox-fix-version/" and added it as far as I know, but don't see the accuweather/forecastfox add on anywhere on my home page. This is getting silly. Where is it supposed to be located?

Vendor Master - street addr and PO box/different city and state
Issue: Check print for vendor is wrong when both street and PO Box address are populated in Vendor Master. Print Preview shows correct PO Box with correct city and state, but when check prints using the PO Box, it uses the city from the street address. Please help.
Example:
Street address for vendor is Westport, CN.
PO Box for vendor is Newark, NJ.

What drivers do I need to reinstall different OS and where can I download them for ThinkPads T61?
I just accidentally purchased one ThinkPads T61 with Linux OS version. I don't use Linux so I plan to wipe out Linux and install Windows XP Pro instead. I have the Windows OS, but as I know I will need to install some drivers afterward to make the notebook work properly.
My question would be: How many and what drivers do I need to reinstall different OS and where can I download them?

The master password protects saved passwords in Thunderbird and has nothing to do with connecting to your providers server. You need to work with your email provider if you have forgotten your email password. Go to their email help site and look for a link to reset your password.
If you are truly working with a forgotten master password this article tells you how to remove it.

my ipod touch was submerged in water and now it is telling me to connect to itunes, but itunes won't connect until i put in the passcode, and i can't do anything to my ipod until it connects to itunes. so, basically i can't do anything from the ipod or to it from the computor. what should i do?
Restore...
From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.
There's more to try but let's go a bit at a time. -
I changed my location in Google so I could do a search in another city. Then when I tried to change it back to my location, it stays stuck on the "other" city. I went into Google search settings and tried it on the search page and no changes were saved.
I tried it on Chrome and Safari and had no problems going from one to another and having everything save as I wanted, yet in Firefox it does not change.User fonts, those not require by the OS, are in two locations;

I would see if the 11M+ fonts are in ~/Library/Fonts first. If so drag them to the Trash and restart. -
so the ipod connects to my brothers computer fine but it wont connect to myn... it doesnt show in my computer but when i plug it in and out it makes the little connect sound and it doesnt charge on my computer either,,, my ipod nano however connects fine to my computer fine.. any solutions?? please help

What keeps hijacking my Firefox in several different ways and what can I do about it?
I would like to know who/what/how hijacks my homepage and changes it into something I don't want? It was just changed to Roboform, which is an add-on that I have but it has never hijacked me before and I don't think Roboform did it.
I just recently "restored" my Firefox because all sorts of ?malware? were hijacking me and creating new tabs that wanted me to download various things. I used my IE8 for a while researching my Firefox issue and running 3 different virus/malware removal programs. After everything looked good there I added back my Roboform to the "restored" firefox and everything was good until now.
I see I still have Adobe add-ons. I have been very suspicious of Adobe, Java and Google. I still have some unwanted additions that Google downloaded that I can't seem to get rid of even when I do an uninstall. OTshot is one of them. Since so many applications require Java and Adobe, I would also like to know if there is a way to use any of them without running the strong risk of malware?
It is interesting to me that IE8 didn't have any problems with the malware before I removed it. IE8 has lots of other problems though and IE9 never upgrade successfully, which is why I now use Firefox.

This is designed to be a one-time event, and you won't find that page listed when you check your home page setting in the Options dialog. Does that sounds consistent with what happened?
Some users got Otshot (Hotshot) last year when installing an unofficial distribution of Firefox. If you see that, you should clean it out. My MacBook Air has OSX Version 10.9 and suddenly I can no longer access iPhoto. THe message says, 'You can't use this version of the applicaitonn iPhot with this version of OS X. You have iphoto 9.3.2." When I try to update iPhoto, I get a message saying I signed in with a different apple ID and password. This all happened about the same time I got a new iphone. The iPhoto icon has a circle with a line through it.

Until recently, I was able to watch both SnagFilms and Hulu within the Safari Browser successfully. In both movie sites, I no longer get video and am asked to download Adobe Flash Player (which I already have 14.0.0.125) but my system indicates that Plug-In PPADI has not been installed? Where to go to find this correct download? When consulting with SnagFilms and Hulu, it was recommended that I download and watch in the Chrome Browser, which is successful. However, I don't like the idea that I must run a second browser to do stuff on my Mac. I don't have any issues with watching films under Safari within Netflix. I am so confused. What about the security issues with respect to running google products--do I need to be concerned if this is the only method for accessing my movie sites.

The problem is that your Flash Player is not current. Check this to see what the current version is (vs what you have) and here to get the latest version. There is supposed to be a major security issue in the version you've got so Apple is blocking its use. In any case, don't get Flash Player from anywhere except Adobe.
