Location Field in Notification

Hi Experts,
Location field is not being shown in notification and order screens, however, location data tab is opened with location data sub screen.
Please guide, how can i open location field in notification and order?

what i think i sthis report is only for the OPENINGand CLOSING stock for the period or day
now whenu give SL field then system will only concider stock from that SL
the filed of SL will not be viewable in report as it is just opening and closing balance

ICal bug: cannot copy/paste into location field of exchange 2007 calendar

when you copy text from any application (cmd C) and then try to paste it into de location field of a new or existing appointment of a calendar synchronizing with an exchange 2007 account in iCal 4.0, then .... well nothing happens. You can paste it in a subject or a notes field but not in de location field.

My experience as well (hooked into google calendar), and a frustrating one. I assume this is related in some way to the "yellow exclamation point in edit mode - can only select entire block"? I see that normal "on my mac" calendar locations don't have the yellow exclamation point, and I can select any portion of the text. What's up with this? Is iCal suggesting that google's "Where" field is incompatible somehow? Yet there seems to be no trouble exchanging data between the two...

Change of Search help for location field in report incident

Hi All,
i have added new fields Region,BSA in the report incident form .here based on the region entered in the search help the corresponding bsa have to be displayed in the search help of BSA .these are achieved customising the search help exit FM EHFND_SHLP_EXIT_F4_BOBF_QUERY.
similarly based on the BSA entered in the BSA field Location field search help should filter the values and display .the isues here are
1. the location field and search help attached are standard and they are being used in many instances .
2.when i click on the f4 help the control doesnt stop any where in the feeder class CL_EHHSS_INC_Q_LOC_UI_FRM of the form though i put the breakpoints .ie the event on enter locid is not getting triggered.
my question is where can i write the code to filter the values being displayed in the location search help.

Hi Luxmi,
Dictionary-based search helps are triggered from directly within the WDA layer. Therefore, there is no callback from the FPM event loop. The filter would need to be implemented as an implicit enhancement of the aforementioned search help exit function.

how can i add STORAGE LOCATION field which is not in the standard tables namely
KOMP, KOMK, and KOMG.
how to include it in our FIELDS FROM FIELD CATALOGUE.
if we include this field is there any impact on the standard tables.
plz let me know this.

we are selling our products in two ways
(1). one is straight from factory ie direct sales from factory
if customer asks for excise invoice then we will sell thru factory and keeping freight in mind we will
deliver him which ever is economical either rail or road.
before coming to second case of selling the goods
we will do STOCK TRANSPORT ORDER from plant to different storage locations.
if we did STO thru road we have to sell the goods thru road only.
if we did STO thru rail we have to sell the goods thru rail route only.
(2). if the customer is not asking any excise invoice then we will send the goods thru depo/storage
location which is not registered under excise.
if the goods came by road then it will be delivered by road only.
if the goods came by rail then it will be delivered by rail only.
my logic here is
basing on the
storage location, transportation types, and distance i want to create condition record
that captures exact frieght at the sales order level.
confirm whether i am right or wrong.

Hi,
It is not recommended to add new fields to any SAP standard tables. It disturbs the whole SAP functionality.
But if you have no choice expcept to change the standard tables to meet your requirement - then you need an access key to modify the object, which is available from the market place.
Nevertheless, the better option is to create a 'Z' table with the required fields and use that accordingly.
Changing standard tables will have serious impact when you apply patches or do an upgrade on the existing functionality.

Location field in Incoming Payment

My client requirement is that they want to have Location in the Incoming payment window but in that its not possible to get that. I can map that through UDF but this does not solve my problem as through UDF i can give it for storing the information as far as reporting i concerned i cant get it. So please help me out. Can you please explain what does location field mean and where it is defined . Location is usually used in Item master data as UDF to work as a bin location .I don't think so your client want to see where item is located in incoming payment.
If you can define Location,probably can help to find your solution .

How to display field Functional Location Field in Asset Master Data

Dear Experts,
I really appreciate for your advices on how to display Functional Location Field in Asset Master data.
I have checked the configuration on path IMG:\Financial Accounting->Asset Accounting->Master Data->Screen Layout->Define Screen Layout for Master Data
I have chosen the screen layout and review all Logical Field Groups. And there's no field "Functional Location" is available. I also didn't find "Add New" button to add "Functional Location" field.

I am sorry this is not possible.
Note 140482:
The field was created as a precaution. However, it is not being used at
present and consequently is not supplied.
In particular, you cannot use the field as a criterion for a selection
in Asset Accounting reporting. This is still true even if this field has
been included in the selection view delivered for the dynamic selections
by modification.

Making Storage Location field mandatory in Work Order

As per our proces, if PR is created from work order and if there is no storage location in work order then PO will have warehouse address as a shipping address. So it is expected that PR must have storage location details when it is created from work order to avoid incorrect shipping address in PO.
So, I want to make storage location field mandatory in components tab of work order.
Also I want to avoid the users to deliberately removing the storage location and making it blank.

Ideally it should come, field storage location is fetch from the GR tab from production order. May be PP guy can help you much better.

Need created by field in notification

Hi,
In notification i want to see a field like Created by (notification creater) for all notification types.
I dont want to see that info from action log, I need a field which shows the created by person name. I want the filed like reported by field in notification.
Is there any customization settings or any user exit to do. Please suggest me.

The following enhancement/user exit can be used to carry out the necessary changes to the screen
QQMA0001
User parameters
User exit u2013 QQMA0001
1. Create the project using the CMOD transaction and include the above enhancement in it.
2. Create the append structure with the new field
3. Go to the desired function group and create the sub screen with the new field. Write PBO and PAI of the sub screen if required. The field details should be as follow
Name u2013 Created by
Character length u2013 20 CHAR
4. Use function exit in the inside the enhancement to link the PBO and PAI of the sub screen to the main programme
5. Maintain the link between the standard screen of the SAP programme and the sub screen programme in CMOD transaction
6. Activate the project

Addition of field on notification header

Hi,
I want to add the extra field on the notification header to capture the client specific data. I tried to find user field or field key to that but i am unable to find both these options in SPRO.
Then i have found one user exit i.e. QQMA0001 and documentation of this exit says that this is the exit best suitable for the addition of extra field on notification header.
Inside this user exit, following two function module
EXIT_SAPMIWO0_008
EXIT_SAPMIWO0_009
and some screen areas exist.
Now my understanding is that using one of the available screen area can we add the necessary field on header level or do i need to prepare new screen area and the assignment with the current user exit is required?
Am i on right track or is there any other way to achieve the desired result.
Waiting for the solution from the experts.

Hello,
The simplest option is to define a single custom sub-screen. This is screen area 090. Just assign this in customizing as you would any other subscreen to a notification type. This references screen SAPLXQQM / 0100. You can add the custom fields to this screen via SE51. You must append your custom fields to QMEL so they are included in structure VIQMEL and are saved with the notification.
Associated with enhancement QQMA0001 there are two function modules:
1-EXIT_SAPMIWO0_008, Transfer notification data to user screen
2-EXIT_SAPMIWO0_009, Transfer Notification Data from User Screen
You can add code to the relevant includes to verify your own data, etc.
Check the documentation for this enhancement QQMA0001 in transaction SMOD.

I am not able to find the storage location field in service PR generated through PS. This field is available for material component but not for external activity with service.
Actully i have a project which have multiple storage location thats why i need that field for external service PR

there is no need of storage location for external services.
storage location:
storage location at which the material is stored.
an organizational unit allowing differentiation between the various stocks of a material in a plant.
