Location: Network Settings, Keychain settings - Where?
Hey all.. I recently kinda hosed my keychain... basically i thought I was deleting one chain and I instead deleted another. I'm using 10.4.4 summer ibook 1.42Ghz. Fine machine. I would like to delete all my saved settings for the network and my keychains and start out fresh... I really do -not- want to delete the user.. and this really shouldn't be necessary.
The problem.. and yes.. its not described in the subject (because i need to figure out the location of the pref files first).. the problem is that I use a wireless connection and because I screwed around with keychain my wireless never defaults to my own wireless router and I have to keep putting in my wpa password for it.
SO.. I'd like to delete my network preferences and wipe my keychain clean. Where are these files located? I'd like to have the slate wiped clean so that I can begin again. This issue does not happen in other user profiles and it doesnt happen with my gf's new 12" ibook.

Your preferences are located in the user/library/preferences. Just delete the preference related to network and keychain. To delete your keychains open the keychain access application which is in applications/utilities. Good luck.

You have to choose – one settigf or another.
The thing is.your HD clips will look better in an SD project than your SD clips will in an HD project.
WIthout knowing much more about your project and the kind of content, it's really hard to be specific. But generally I'd let my project settings be guided by what fraction of my timeline will be made up of HD clips and how much SD clips. If it's 75% HD, I'd probably do an HD project…and so on,

Where is Location Services in the Settings Menu?
Where is Location Services in the Settings Menu? I ask because I was told to switch off some of the location services in the various apps to help me save battery life, but not too sure where Location Services is?
AlliisonR: Location settings have been moved to the new Privacy section underneath Brightness & Wallpaper in Settings icon. Tricky but it's still there.

My ringer is no longer working for text and email notifications. Only working for phone calls. I have gone through all the settings to see where something is off. Not finding anything. I have tried changing the tone and it just vibrates on everything.
Ok so I happened to figure it out while on the phone to apple support. Even though the guy was very nice, I think I knew more than him! He was explaining very basic resolution principles I played about. I had the second option in displays resolution. All I did was unplug the HDMI cable, click on 'best for display' then plugged the HDMI in and my resolution on the normal monitor changed to the normal blue, then went black momentarily and then changed to a strange resolution but another window appeared that said SONY BRAVIA HDMI at the top! Hey presto! Don't know why it didn't do it yesterday - I probably left the HDMI cable in or something! Oh well. Problem solved!

SebastianRather than using Migration Assistant, which can cause trouble with the PPC to Intel change, simply boot the G5 in FireWire target disk mode and manually transfer the following:
/Home/Library/Keychains (copy the whole folder)
/Home/Library/Mail (copy the whole folder)
/Home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist
You might want to look over Kappy's helpful guide for migrating, which covers the full process for a manual migration (including the above files).

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

I was trying to download a movie and then it said there was a problem connecting to the network , check your settings and try again (5) . I tried all the various suggestions already in the discussions including restore, restart, unplugging everything etc - still doesnt work. Any other new ideas? Reboot router, make sure it's up to date. If on wifi try ethernet. Make sure DNS is set to automatic (settings - general - network).

Setting up Network Address Server Settings (Static IP)
To be abundantly clear, I do not want to change my Internet Connection Type - its dynamic and will stay that way. I'm not paying my ISP (Time Warner Cable - RoadRunner in NYC) for a static IP address.
I am changing my network address server settigns to disable DHCP, and hopefully assign static IPs to the various comps/devices in my home network. For various reasons (mostly security/ease of use) it would be handy to know my desktop/media center is always (for example) 192.168.1.101, my laptop is always 192.168.1.102, xbox is always...etc etc.
I have DHCP under network address server settings, and attempted to change TCP/IP protocol of my adapters in the comps to static IP (instead of obtain one automatically). I followed the WRT54G router manual whilst doing this. So I inputted the IP for each comp I want to use, 255.255.255.0 for a subnet mask, and the default gateway (in the example, it would be 192.168.1.1, though I want to use a different internal IP address for my network as a security precaution). Now it also wants primary and alternate DNS. TimeWarner won't tell me this information. They say they tell my router it (since its DHCP) and it changes. So...if I want static IP addresses for the devices in my network, I need my router to have a static ip address externally? that means I pay more. Or have I got it wrong? Please advise. I know I could check the router's status page and grab the two DNS servers its currently using, but then when my router's IP and DNSs change due to the internet connection being dynamic, I'd have to go change all the devices in the network (PITA!!). Thank you for your help.Most ISPs don't actually change their DNSs only the internet IP adress... you can try grabbing those DNS 1 & 2 and set it to your PC. try checking if those will change for verification.
If not, then for primary DNS, use 192.168.1.1 (equivalent for your router so whatever the DNS your router will use, it will just route it. but it doesnt always work), for the alternate DNS: you can use 4.2.2.1 or 4.2.2.2

7921s are "locating network services"
We recently deployed 130 7921s company-wide. About 10-15 of these 7921s get stuck at "locating network services". We've reset to factory settings and manually reconfigured, same end result.
We've discovered after trying several different batteries, device will eventually auto-register.
Also, the battery that doesn't work on the 10-15 7921s, work fine on other functional 7921s.
It's like certain 7921 batteries don't work on certain 7921s. Is there any known issue of this sort?
Should we just RMA these units for a warranty replacement?The odd thing about the 7921 issue is device will register and appear to look and work fine, then revert to locating network services, then repeats cycle. Seems like after sitting idle (on or off the charger)or like after phone warms up, it reverts to locating network services. At that time there is no radio signal and CCM shows device as not registered.
Have reset devices to factory default setting and reconfigured, but same end result.
We have about 15 7921's with this issue and do not use them since they're not fully functional.
We use standard batteries. -

The configuration file is a file with extension .cscfg. If you have Visual Studio, the file is automatically generated when you create the project, and automatically updated when you modify the project's properties.
