Location of custom tags added to tag library on Windows

Since early DW days, there has been a severe lack of asp.net support in DW in relation to Tags, Document Extensions, etc. With each new version of DW, I find myself re-adding in a stack of tags into the Tag Library as I don't seem to be able to copy them between versions. After I've added them in, I am trying to find where these are stored in the filesystem so I can copy them to each new version of DW.
I can see most tags are found in C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS6\configuration\TagLibraries , however when I add new ones in, they don't seem to be stored anywhere.
Where are the custom tags I add into the Tag Library stored for DW on Windows?

I think I may have found it. There appears to be some action at C:\Users\jtsr\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS6\en_US\Configuration\TagLibraries\aspnet
Now to figure out if can build them outside of DW and simply paste them back into this folder or C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS6\configuration\TagLibraries to save re-adding them with each version of DW.

Also when I add some music to my ipod itunes decided to remove some of the other music which is now gone too.

Okay, I've recently bought a new external hard drive, I moved the My Music folder to it, which contained iTunes folder.
iTunes now will not open due to:
*'The Folder "iTunes" cannot be found or created and is required.*
*The default location for this folder is inside the 'My Music' folder.'*
I've moved the 'My Music' folder back to my documents, this still slapped up the same error.
I reinstalled iTunes - I still get the same message.
Please could somebody help me...?

Adding Folders to Library in Windows Vista

I have recently replaced my notebook with one running Windows Vista, and have a fairly annoying problem with adding music to my iTunes library.
All of my music is stored in a shared folder on the hard drive of a different computer on my home network. The folder (and all of its contents, down to the individual MP3 files) are visible from the notebook. In fact, I can choose the "Add a File..." option in iTunes, and browse to and select individual songs to add to the iTunes library.
The "Add a Folder..." option chokes (and does nothing) when I tell it to expand the "Network" choices.
Similarly, when I go into "Preferences..." and try to set the networked folder as my default iTunes folder, I get the same browsing window, and it refuses to show me any of the four computers on the network when I attempt to expand the "Network" selection.
I have found that I can drag-and-drop folders of songs from the networked drive straight into iTunes, but this is really a clunky fix, and it doesn't help me designate the networked folder as the default folder to save new music files.

Not sure if I made myself clear. I meant the folder where it stops, minus the one before it.
Might be something to report to Apple support. Since it works if you drag it over...something's wrong. The music data is the same but the method iTunes is using to get at the data is different.

ITunes 12.1.4 loses song locations and isn't properly reading tags cleaned with TuneUp

I've been trying to organize my library lately, including using TuneUp for assistance. I'm on Windows 8.1.
As an example, I imported from a CD I own, but didn't like the iTunes-supplied tags, so I used TuneUp to move to the correct version of the album. iTunes recognized the change and was happy.... for a short while. The next time I started iTunes, it couldn't find any of the tracks (exclamation mark). Looks like iTunes moved the files based on my tag changes - which is fine, but it didn't update itself with the new location it moved them to?? When I locate the file, it works - except for some reason it doesn't ask me if I'd like to to search that location for all files in the album.
So I tried something else - I removed those songs from my library, and re-imported the folder. Despite the fact that all the songs are fully tagged (eg. right click in Windows -> properties -> details shows artist/album/etc...), iTunes placed them under Unknown Artist/Unknown Album.
Unfortunately, it's not just 1 album, and not just from CDs. I'm having the same problem with tons of tracks that I've either purchased elsewhere, downloaded live versions, etc.. and shortly after I tag them, iTunes loses track of them.
But it gets worse... even songs where I go one-by-one and tell iTunes where they are, it soon loses track of! It doesn't even move them again, it just forgets where they were!
So organizing my library has basically become

What format are these files in? For mp3 files iTunes works best when there is a single ID3v2.3 tags. Multiple tags can cause issues. That said if the library isn't saving properly there may be something else going on. Backup your library then try deleting the hidden file sentinel from inside the iTunes folder. This should force iTunes to run an integrity check on the database which may improve things. Also look for .tmp files in the main iTunes folder. If you see any of these it indicates that iTunes is having trouble when it ties to save its data files, which might be why you have the current issue. Excluding the iTunes folder from any real-time AV scans may help.
Does TuneUp connect to iTunes to make the updates, or do you have to "persuade" iTunes to notice the corrections afterwards. As a rule iTunes doesn't automatically detect tag changes made by third party software until it has some reason to re-read the tag, such as during playback.
Almost forgot, I have a script called FindTracks that might help reconnect things that are broken.

Adding meta tags to published web site

I have created my website using iWeb and subsequently downloaded the RAVE SEO tool and used it to add for meta tags to my sites (description and keywords).
I followed this procedure:
1) I published my site from iWeb to a local folder on my iMac
2) I added the meta tags using the RAVE SEO tool
3) I tried to publish the site to my webhotel with tags added using the ftp tool in the RAVE SEO tool.
PROBLEM:
when I publish from the SEO tool, it is the old sites which are published. In my local folder where I started out publishing the web site to, I can see that the tags from description and keywords have been added. But the site which is published does not contain the tags.
I have a feeling that the SEO tool is looking in a wrong foder, but I cannot change the folder using the "FTP Details" funktion in the SEO tool.
Do anyone have a suggestion for what to do?

When you click publish and choose FTP you can create a new setup or use an existing one.
And if you do not know which folder to publish to, click browse. You decide.

Report in HTML web service... unnecessarity tags added

My requirement is to generate a report in html format in sap and get it through a web service.
I need to invoke a sap web service which executes a report function and returns the report in HTML format.
I am using an RFC BAPI which uses WWW_HTML_FROM_LISTOBJECT function to convert report to html.
The problem is when the RFC is returning xml data with the html extra data is also being sent which are not of UTF8 charset format but windows-1252 charset.
So I am unable to parse that xml.
The extra tags added are <LIST_PAGES>...</LIST_PAGES>, <HYPER_TAGS>...</HYPER_TAGS>, <XFORMAT_DESCRIPTION>...</XFORMAT_DESCRIPTION>. I think these are being added by WWW_HTML_FROM_LISTOBJECT function.
I don't want these tags to be sent... how can I solve it.

I managed to test the web service working from another APEX environment.
Then I created Form and Report on Web Service page but when I tried to Submit the page to get the report filled with web service, it gave me this error:
ORA-19025: EXTRACTVALUE returns value of only one node

Adding Multiple Tag Prefixes in an XML in XI

I have a problem on one of the messages we are trying to send to trading partners. The customers' system only accepts the message if it has a tag prefix of sh, orders... and so on in the particular message we are sending (Standard Business Document). The problem is that XI does not use the tag prefixes the trading partners are expecting. Another problem is that we do not have the orginal and current XSD of the Standard Business Document so we created the message in XI and it cannot adapt the multiple namespaces scheme that we are suppose to send.
The messages are sent via HTTP adapter so what we plan is after mapping the data to the output XML, we are going to send it or store it in a directory which a configure File Adapter polls and use the Java Anonymizer Bean to do the trick of adding the tag prefixes and then use Enhanced Receiver Determination to actually send the data via HTTPS (since the receiving system's information is stored in a database which we query in XI using a UDF).
Are there any other approach that we could explore than the one I mentioned above? And could XI actually handle multiple namespaces of an XML?

Dreamweaver cs6 keeps adding br tags in code view

Hi
I've just upgraded to Dreamweaver cs6 and am having trouble with the code view. When typing in <script> tags or <style> tags I keep getting two <br> tags automatically inserted. It is really annoying as it puts them on two lines and takes time to remove them and completely disrupts your flow when typing code or css.
Any suggestions on how to prevent this happening?

Thanks David - I think that may well explain it. It seems to happen mostly when adding a { in code or CSS. I wonder if I'm still holding the shift key when I hit enter for a new line. I'm trying Dreamweaver again after using visual studio for the last 5 years or so. I wonder if I can just change the keyboard shortcut.

Custom component with additional tags

Hi. I need to write complicated custom JSF component.
I know how to write simple custom components, and receive String variables from tag attributes e.g.

You can't always go willy nilly altering other peoples code, and then distribute it as your own.
The licence is that screen of info that you just click "yes" on without reading any time you download/install something.
A licence grants you certain rights, normally to use/run the software. In some cases to distribute the software (retaining the original headers etc etc)
Some of the stuff out there is absolutely free, go for it, use it and extend it as much as you like. Others are "Keep your filthy hands off our code"

Update to windows 7, reintalling Ps. Will Adobe Bridge save the tags added to a photo automatically?

I'm updating to windows 7 (xp before.) So I have to reinstall all programs. Will the tags (added with Adobe Bridge) be saved automatically with the photo's? Or do I have to export them somehow? Anyone?

If you added tags in Bridge it added them to the image so they will transfer with image. If they show in Bridge as in italatics it means they are not persistant. Right click on keywork and choose make persistant.

PSE 9 Organizer Error Adding Keyword Tags and Other Woes

Hello, everyone. I am having a ton of problems with PSE 9 Organizer. The most frustrating and biggest problem is that I believe my catalog has been corrupted beyond repair. I spent all of yesterday tagging my photos. I had no problems and everything seemed to be going well until all of the sudden, the organizer suddenly froze up. I had to use the Windows task manager just to get it to close. This happened several times. Finally, the organizer locked up my computer and I had to restart. I opened the catalog and didn't seem to have any problems at that point. I was able to view all of the images, video files etc. I was even able to open the editor from the organizer. When I tried to add a tag to a photo it gave me an error. All it said was "error adding keyword tag" then nothing. I tried to delete the photo and all it said was "error deleting photo". This "error" shows up any time I try to make any changes to all of the images. I can't add any new photos, can't delete, or add tags. I have repaired the catalog several times. It found errors the first time, but evidently that didn't fix my problem. I also optimized and deleted my thumbnail cache to see if that was the issue. Still nothing. I have other catalogs and they work fine, so it is something to do with this particular catalog. Any suggestions on what to do next? Can I move the pictures to a new catalog without losing the tags? And no, I didn't write the tags to the images because I wasn't done tagging. Besides, PSE doesn't always write the tags correctly, as you probably know. Next problem. When I first open PSE and select the organizer, it doesn't alway open. I can see it on my taskbar (Windows 7 64 bit), but I can't get the window to maximize. I have to close and open several times to get the window to open. Sometimes it randomly jumps to my second monitor like it can't decide where to go. Very frustrating. I would appreciate any suggestions about what to do. Thanks.

Back to the original question, after thinking about this for a couple days I have had two ideas for workarounds:
1) Copy my tag names into the photo metadata and create a new catalog to bring all of my images into. This will allow me to keep all of my existing tags, and it MIGHT solve the tag display problem based on a test with a couple images in a new catalog. The downsides to this are a) permanently writes my tags into the photo metadata which will be bad if I decide to change something later, b) loses all version sets, and c) loses all albums (although I don't have that many). I found instructions for this workaround at http://www.johnrellis.com/psedbtool/photoshop-elements-faq.htm#_Merging_Catalogs.
2) Live with the lack of color tag display in Organizer, and use reverse searches to find missing tag categories. For example, if I want to find all photos that do not have a "Places" tag, I check the box next to the "Places" category (which also selects all sub-categories and tags below this). Then I go to the Options drop-down in the Find Bar and "Hide best match results" and "Show results that do not match". This gives me every image in my catalog that does not have a tag from the "Places" category, so I can go through and tag these as appropriate.
I would have gone with #1 if it weren't for the permanence of the keywords. I guess I have a commitment problem (or I just haven't got my tag hierarchy figured out yet). Instead, I am going with #2 which should give me most of what I need for now. I will still hold out some small glimmer of hope that Adobe manages a fix for this issue down the road.

Adding Click Tags to Flash and also reducing file size?

I was wondering if anyone knows how to add a Click Tag to a Flash movie?
I have the file finished but they require Click Tags added to each file.
Also my file is currently around 100kb and they need it under 30kb (last time they got someone to reduce my file to 30kb from 110kb), so Im sure this can be done but not quite sure how. I am using Flash CS4,

I would recommend going to 15 if you are going to play with frame rate.
If you want to know how data rate effects the size
double-click the setting for your movie
look at the inspector
Under the summary tab compressor show you how big the file size will be at _ data rate etc.
Changing the data rate will be reflected here.
When a client doesn't want a file over 15mb I use this tool to know and understand how data rate and other settings effect the overall file. This works for h.264 but may not be the same for every setting.
