Location of files on MAC to sync with Books in iTunes

I am trying to place a pdf file I created on my iPad, but don't seem to find the location on my MAC from where I can sync with the iPAD.

If you want to get it into iBooks on your iPad then you can either drag and drop the pdf onto iTunes, or use File > Add File to Library in iTunes - it should then go into the Books section of your iTunes Library (if Books doesn't show under Library then you can add it via the General tab in Edit > Preferences). You can then drag the pdf from there and across to your iPad and it should go into the iBooks app (assuming that you've installed the app).
If you want to put it into a different app, then depending on ithe app's functionality you may be able to do it via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab, via wifi, or by emailing it to yourself, opening the email on your iPad and doing 'open in'.

Same as you would if you bought a pc; copy everything from your old computer to your new one. Then you can just sync everything from the new computer, as you did with the old one.

Thanks, but I've been on the phone with AppleCare US (where I am and live) and AppleCare UK. They continue bouncing me back and forth without helping resolve the problem.
Perhaps someones knows how to further escalate the issue at Apple?

Are you aware it only syncs iMessages. Also once enabled only new messages will sync, try messaging the user from the Mac and see if that gets things going for you.

Mac not syncing with iPhone/iPad

Can someone help me? My Mac is acting up. Over the past 3 days, I have not been able to get my Mac to sync with my iphone or ipad like I have in the past. When I open up my calendar on Mac, it says it cant be refreshed and won't let me do a thing until I force it to quit. I input things on my reminders and notes on my Mac but it won't show up on my other 2 devices. But if I put stuff on my iphone/ipad it will show up on my Mac!? I've tried updating, shutting down, connecting with a USB. I don't know what else to do. I really don't want to have to delete all my stuff because its a lot! Help please!

Why did you start a new account?
Copy everything from your backup copy of your computer to your new hard drive.
Ipod will sync to one itunes library at a time. Syncing to another will erase the current content from the ipod.

I recently bought a MacBook Pro, and I figured it would be pretty simple to move my iPhone to sync with iTunes on the Mac from iTunes on my pc, afterall it is the same program and both are designed for the iPhone.
I have been successful in getting the Contacts and Calendar to sync, but the Music, Applications, Video and a few other things give me this message when I check the sync box:
"The iPhone is synced with another iTunes library. Do you want to erase the iPhone and sync with this iTunes library? An iPhone can be synced with only one iTunes library at a time. Erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this iPhone with the contents of this iTunes library."
Obviously, I don't want to erase everything. Actually, I don't care about Music, Videos, Podcasts or Ringtones as I don't have any, but I do care about Photos and Applications. Actually Photos I can reload too, but I don't want to loose the apps I have purchased with the iTunes App Store.
I even tried going back to the PC and unchecking the Sync boxes on it, hoping this might disassociate it from the phone, but now even on that PC I get the same message.
How do I disconnect phone from the old iTunes and be able to sync it to the new iTunes? This should be simple right?

I made an appointment with a Mac Genius and I will say that while it was better than getting to talk to India on a poor quality phone call it was just about as helpful. Sure she was cute and friendly, but I left without my issue resolved and was surprised that I didn't even get a followup from anyone asking about my experience (hence my venting here)

This is a real solution to the issue, and has the benefit that I can do this to as many machines as I need and sync at any of them instead of just one. Hopefully, Apple doesn't delete my response since it truly is the answer to the problem and others might be looking for the same solution.

Fellows I had conect my iphone with another itunes, we transfer an appp that was bougth to my iphone. later on when I tried to sync with my own itunes, some apps had disapeard and can not transfer old ones back

After i transfer a app from my wife itunes to mi iphone (wich is usually sync with another pc) some apps had dessapeard and when i went back to sync with my own itunes in my own pc, the apps that shows the itunes on my own account are not transfered to my iphone any more.
Does anybody knows what i havwe done and what i have to do to solve it.
The wors think is that i have lost some files that i have downloaded on the word processor app.
Thinking that i was going to recover it after reinstall again the app, nothing had happen.

What iPhone do you have? You can check in settings>>general>> about.
If you have a 3G you cannot update beyond iOS 4.2.1. The 3G is over 4 years old an was discontinued over 2 1/2 years ago. You need the latest ios to run the latest versions of some apps. If you have a 3GS you can update.
If your phone is not responding, reset it by pressing and holding down both the home button ad lock/ sleep button simultaneously until the Apple logo appears.

How you do it depends on whether you are using iCloud or not.
If NOT, go to the info page in iTunes and make sure Address Book sync is enabled.
If you do use iCloud, make sure your ID is defined under System Prefs > iCloud in the Mac and under Settings > iCloud on the phone. When you use iCloud, you do NOT want to also sync the Address Book on the Info page in iTunes.

I have the same problem too and tried alot of things like time zone , restarting or changing DNS of wifi connection to 8.8.8.8 still nothing happens .. !!

1) authorize iTunes on the new machine for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.
