Location of the Arch Issues page
Hi All
I've totally forgotten where the issues page is located. What I mean is the page which has information about any issues to watch out for with upgrades, or "this is what you need to do when you upgrade package x". I can't even remember what the flaming page is called!! It has been a long, long week in a new job though and my brain is totally fried!
Any help is much appreciated.

No, none of those. I used it once when an upgrade went wrong. I did have it bookmarked but somehow deleted it. Someone in a post I read pointed to it and said it was something you should read before upgrading because it tells you what to do like if you upgrade Pacman you need to do xxxx.
Sounds stupid that I can't remember but I had a stroke some years back and it can be difficult sometimes, so sorry I'm a bit vague here.

Creating a hyperlink to a location in the current web page
I am creating my first website but have encountered a problem. I'm trying to link a word on the same page to a text box containing the related information.
To further clarify, I would like users to click on "Payment Options" and be taken to the text box which contains that specific information on the same page. I tried using inspector but my only choices are for other pages or external links.it's called within page anchor, see my posts in this thread:

Issue with auto-play slideshow on the cover/first page
I'm finding a strange problem in a project that's about to ship.
Our "cover" is a full-screen slideshow (really some type animation) that is a simple slideshow through states. It look great in the Content Viewer.
When we build the app in Viewer Builder, the slideshow does not play. Just sits on the first image.
I know there's an issue about HTML "auto playing" on the first page (that is, you can't). But didn't think that applied to dps slideshows.
Has anyone seen this issue? Any solutions?

Interestingly, if we build an app with only the cover (this page), it works. Building it with all articles makes it not work.
The 'play in reverse' was an attempt to fix this. Did not help or hinder.

What I have to do to correct the following problems with Pages app. For iPad:
Hesitates to display results of typing, some times for 5-6 characters;
Very slow in opening files;
Before opening of a specific file displays message: DOCUMENT DETAILS. SOME CHANGES WERE MADE TO YOUR DOCUMENT. SOME IMAGES ARE MISSING BECAUSE THEY WERE DELETED FROM YOUR DOCUMENT. We'll, nothing is missing. But it takes forever to open this file. The previous issue of Pages worked very good. But they would not let me to go back to it. Please, help!Tmobile did the exact same thing to me. So that is customer service at work in general. Nice try though lol.

I see you said You paid for shipping, did you Insure it? Claim insurance on it. If you did not, It may not be Verizon or your fault in the sense of the phone not making it to the warehouse. There are people out in the postal world that will steal phones that are not insured. It could have been a Verizon employee, i suppose.
But, if this was to be a bought in court, if you shipped it with out insurance, sadly your at fault.
Do you still have the Serial number of your old phone? If so, you should be able to track where your phone is (if it is reported as a defect/damaged) If so, you may be able to use that as proof. If it does not show up as a defect or what ever they determine use as a loss, then you know it did not make it to the warehouse to be checked in. I would suspect Apple or Verizon could tell you what the Serial number came up as. -
When starting Windows 7 Sync Notifier reports "The procedure entry point sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link library SQLite3.dll." Any suggestions as to how to rectify this issue?
With Windows Explorer, navigate to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder.
Copy the SQLite3.dll that you should find there, navigate to the nearby Mobile Device Support folder, and Paste it in there also.
Restart the programme all should be well
In case that your OS is (64 bit)
1. Open windows explorer, go to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
2. Copy file "SQLite3.dll"
3. Now paste it in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
4. Restart the programme, it should not display that message, it should be clear.

I asked about automatic backup of bookmarks and received the following answer:You can make Firefox 3 create an automatic HTML backup (bookmarks.html) when you exit Firefox if you set the pref [http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.bookmarks.autoExportHTML browser.bookmarks.autoExportHTML] to true on the about:config page. That backup is created by default in the profile folder as bookmarks.html, but you can set the file name and path via the pref [http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.bookmarks.file browser.bookmarks.file] on the about:config page. I went to about:config page and toggled browser.bookmarks.autoExportHTML to “Yes” and it’s working. However, I want to change the file location, but I can’t find browser.bookmarks.file in the list.
The browser.bookmarks.file preference does not exist by default. Right-click in about:config and select "New > String" to create it.

all the links in the header of any websites are not working, the cursor is not changing into pointer and no way to click on any link located at the top of any website page. I reinstalled firefox and it s the same. No problem in others browser. the tool bar is working but not the links inside any web page located between the top 300px height.
So I can t tlog into any website, i cant write an email as the compose button is located in the top of the page.. MacBook Air intermittently has issues connecting to websites when wireless shows connected to the internet. The pages show that I am offline, but I can ping Google DNS. Windows PC, iPhone and Android phone have no issue displaying the same web pages.How do I solve this issue?
Go step by step and test.
1. Power off the router. Unplug it from the wall. Wait a while.
Plug it back to the wall. Power the router on. Wait until all the lights are lit properly. It will take a while.
Restart the computer.
Start up in Safe Mode.

2. Empty Caches
Safari > Preference > Advanced
Checkmark the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
Develop menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.
Click Develop and select "Empty Caches" from the dropdown.
3. Deselect Proxies if selected.
System Preference > Network > Advanced > Proxies Tab
Under "Select Protocol", uncheck any box if selected.
Click "OK" then "Apply”. -

TIAI guess I'm misunderstanding the question, then.
I don't quite understand what you're trying to accomplish with this task. How does Excel factor into this? What value is it to have a report of x and y coordinates for an Acrobat page? This sounds like something you'd need for html coding, not a print document. If so, the pages should be exported as html pages, not Acrobat pdf files, from your original. I only ask because I have a feeling you might be creating way more work or expense for yourself than you need to be. The more information you can provide, the better advice you'll probably get.
If you need a report of x and y coordinates, I'm thinking Acrobat is the wrong application. It's not really a web design app. I don't have Dreamweaver here at my office, but I seem to remember that all that information is available if you open your pages in Dreamweaver, and there may be a way of extracting a report with just what you need. You might try asking your question on the Dreamweaver forum, if that's the route that makes more sense for what you're trying to do. -
a link in a thunderbird message fails to activate firefox but if i copy & paste it in the ffx location bar, it goes to the linked web page. Also, some web page links are failing except that some will work if i use right-click with open in new tab. just updated ffx to 3.6.13, then updated java per mozilla notification (plugin checker)

Thanks...that was one of the things I first tried. I did a save as another document.
I also resized the image in PS so it would be at 100% of size, figuring that would help and I made the image box's background white instead of none, but nothing so far.
It almosat seems like it is coming from the origianl template file?

It is beginning to shutdown with no warning more frequently. What can I do to locate the exact issue? My warranty has expired so I would like to get to the bottom of it without taking it in to an apple store.
I am currently learning how to do diagnostics on mac hardware but I am not a native mac user. It is unlikely that this is a software issue. Please, any input will be helpful.Try these in order testing your system after each to see if it's back to normal:
1. a. Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
b. Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
2. Restart the computer in Safe Mode, then restart again, normally. If this doesn't help, then:
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the
COMMAND and R keys until the Utilities menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and
after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears.
Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
3. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
Reinstall the 10.9.2 update: OS X Mavericks 10.9.2 Update (Combo).
4. Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks: Reboot from the Recovery HD. Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks from the Utilities menu, and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
Reinstall the 10.9.2 update: OS X Mavericks 10.9.2 Update (Combo). -

Hi, I connected to the internet in a different location using ethernet cable and when I got home websites like yahoo wont get to the sign in page and other sites too...weirdly facebook and google works ...please help...tearing my hair out!!!and now, when i tried to check again my network preference below the airport tab is showing a message that
"my airport does not have an IP address and cannot connect to the internet!"
then after seconds it will goes back to the first message that
"airport has the self assigned IP address etc....."
i don't know whats going on now!
airport tab is not showing green color anyway! i'ts always in yellow!
i tried turning it on and off but nothing happen! HEEELLLLPP!!!! -
There appears to be a MAJOR issue (hang/memory leak) in "about:home", also known as the Firefox Start Page, in Firefox 26.0, on Windows!
observed on:
- Windows 7 x64 machine with 12GB RAM and high-performance CPU (core i7-920)
- Virtual Machine guest running WinXP SP3 (in Oracle VirtualBox) on the same machine
- Intel Atom D525 netbook with 4GB RAM, running Win7 x64
Neither of these machines are connected via Sync or anything like that. The Firefox instance on the VM is a fresh/clean install.
The problem:
- 100% cpu usage for 10 seconds, memory usage (PF usage in XP) goes up to 1.7GB
- if "about:home" is the Firefox Start Page, effectively it hangs the computer at Firefox startup for 10 seconds
- if "about:home" is NOT the Firefox Start Page, startup is fine - BUT if I press the "home" button on the toolbar it loads "about:home" which causes the same issue againThank you cor-el! Your suggestion has solved the problem on my WinXP VM which I was using to test, and I will soon confirm that it has also solved the problem on my primary Win7 desktop.
To recap:
- I set "browser.aboutHomeSnippets.updateUrl" to an empty string
