Location of tnsnames and others

I inherited a Linux box with some 10g and 11g databases.
Some of the configs and files locations are making me scratch my head:
$Home/network/admin is empty.
No soft links either.
The files under question are:
/etc/tnsnames.ora
/etc/listener.ora
Is this a typical config and what makes the network files functional in /etc ?

Your location is determined from a location database which contains the MAC addresses of routers and their physical location. A MAC address is a unique number which is built-in to all network devices when manufactured. The database is built and updated by actually driving around and mapping router locations.
Since you just moved the location of your router has not been updated in the database and when you use Maps you will see your old location.
If you go outside your house you can be correctly located because your iPod sees other routers which are in the location database. Note that you do not need to be connected to a router for your iPod to see it and obtain its MAC address.

Why can't i get locations of restarants and other places on siri in the uk

have tried to get locations of places in the uk useing SIRI but it can only give me locals in the USA what do I do about that. restarants are no good to me in the usa.

Seems like Apple haven't done a similar deal with any information suppliers in the UK. Nice of them to say up front that finding Businesses using Siri only works in the US.
Siri is in beta though, so fingers crossed it will be added sooner rather than later

Aspire R11 (R3-131T): Locating the SSD and other general upgrading questions

So, I managed to find the RAM with no problem, but I can't find the SSD. I'm starting to think it is just integrated into the motherboard, but at the same time, I'm told I can upgrade it.

Questions:
1) how do I upgrade the size of the SSD?
2) there is this small area next to the motherboard. The void is filled with a metal brace. Can a SSD be placed there? And if so, how would I connect it to the motherboard?
3) can the CPU or GPU be overclocked? I understand that there is no fans, so it would have to be minor overclocking.
4) is there a way to increase cooling, whether that be via fan or heat sink?
5) aside from the SSD and RAM, is there anything else that can be upgraded?

I have solution for your requirement.
Go to Tcode OAVI
Create new entries.
Difine a name for the sort version and enter description for the same.
Choose fields for display in standard SAP asset reports.
For your case enter table name ANLAV field names MENGE, STORT, and KOSTL. etc
Here you can choose various other fields also.
Then use this sort version while runnnig the SAP standard asset reports.
By using this sort version you can able to to see the quantity, location and cost center fields available during any any asset balances report. So take a printout of the asset balances report S_ALR_87011964 - Asset Balances by Asset Class along with the above fields and go for physical verification
Note: This development you can directly do it in your production system
This will defenetely fix your requirement.

External drive
This option requires more work than Home Sharing, but it creates a backup of your iTunes library on the external drive in addition to moving your content.

You can use most iPods as an external drive.
Windows operating systems don't recognize Mac OS-formatted disks (HFS or HFS Plus formats). Because of this, you can't use a Mac-formatted iPod or external drive to move your music to a Windows PC. See iPod: How to determine iPod's hard disk format if you're not sure how your iPod is formatted.
Mac OS X can read Windows-formatted iPods and drives. This means there are many ways to migrate your information from your old Windows-based PC to your new Mac.
Mac OS X: To be sure external drives appear on your desktop, choose Preferences from the Finder menu. Be sure the options for "External disks" and "Hard disks" are enabled.

and now, when i tried to check again my network preference below the airport tab is showing a message that
"my airport does not have an IP address and cannot connect to the internet!"
then after seconds it will goes back to the first message that
"airport has the self assigned IP address etc....."
i don't know whats going on now!

I had turn off location service for some apps and turn off cellular and wifi location for camera too, but when eveytime I turn on camera and other apps it keep appear:
1. turn on location service for camera for better location
2. cellular date is turn off for " xxxx apps"
Press "Setting" or "Done"
which is very annoying, did anyone have any idea how to fix it/ make the notification disappear?

Your iMac does have wireless capability. It does need, however, some wireless network in order to connect to the Internet. It sounds like there are several networks in your area, including one Belkin router that is not encrypted and several other networks that are. I presume that you would know if the Belkin one is yours, and you would have mentioned it. Do not use someone else's network without their permission. In some jurisdictions it is illegal, in others it is merely foolish.
It is impossible to know what Xfinity has given you. Possibly it is only a cable modem, or perhaps it has a router built in. Call them and ask them. If it has a router built in, get them to help you set it up. Note that some tech support people for Internet service providers will resist working with Macs. Be persistent, it is not that different.
If they did not provide a router, you will need to get one. Apple makes the AirPort Extreme base station, the AirPort Express base station and the Time Capsule. Other companies have their own. Be sure you get one that is up to date and has 802.11n capabilities (for the highest speed) and go on from there.

- Did the other users who successfully connected have iDevices?
- Frequently you have to open Safari/a browser and agree to the terms and conditions of the wifi spot before yo can get to the internet. Some wifi spots use Flash or Java to log on which the iPod (and other iDevices) do not support)
- Have you tried resetting network settings: Settings:General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- Does you Ipod successfully connect at home?.

SMS (and other files) Back location

Where does the iPhone store the backup file of SMS, Contacts etc. on a PC? How can you access these files and print them if needed?
Also is there an app that allows you to forward SMS messages as this does not seem possible in the default SMS application.

Contacts are synced from Outlook or Windows Address Book, and are not "backed up". This linked kbase article describes what is and is not backed up - Backup information includes information such as mail settings, text messages, notes, call history, contact favorites, sound settings, widget settings, certain network settings, and other preferences. Applications and photos taken on the iPhone (Camera Roll) are also backed up.
The backup is stored in C:\USERNAME\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup. Note that these aren't readily accessible files - the backup is actually a SQLite database; there are scripts out there to parse the database, but that sort of thing is not for the casual user.
