Location(Plant) value  does not default in standalone scenario

Hi,
We are  running on SRM 5.0(SP11) Standalone scenario.When creating a shopping cart thorugh the link "DESCRIBE REQUIREMENT" i.e. Text based shopping cart,the default  value for the field LOCATION does not appear.Also in the dropwdon list,I can see all the local plants defined but when I select one,the value disappears i.e the Location field does  not  get  populated!
Has anyone come across similar problem?If so ,please advise.
All inputs will be highly appreciated.
regards,
SRM tech

Hi Manish,
Thanks for the prompt reply.
I have defined  locations in the extended attribute section of the Org strcutre and also marked  as default.
The user can  also set his default plant by going in 'Settings' when user is logged into web end of SRM.
Basically the problem has 2 sides:
1.No default value comes for the LOCATION field.
2.Although I can see the F4 list ,but when i select an entry for the LOCATION,the value doesnt get populated.
BR,
SRm tech.

  • SharePoint Receive Location: Value does not fall within the expected range

    Hi,
    I setup a wss receive location in BizTalk 2013 (CU2 applied) to get documents from a SharePoint 2013 infoPath Form Library, the documents were checked out but not processed by WSS adapter and BizTalk logs following error in event log
    The host instance user has 'Full Control' permission on this form library
    (the same configuration is working in another environment with different BizTalk and SP instances)
    any help would be highly appreciated

    Hi,
    I would recommend to create a new InfoPath form and publish it to SharePoint library to see
    if the issue still occurs.
    Here is a similar thread for you to take a look:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/sharepoint/en-US/07438b97-2b25-431a-b94a-1ea8e08992d5/upgrade-sharepoint-2007-to-sharepoint-2010-info-path-pages-issues?forum=sharepointadminprevious
    If that doesnt fix the issue, you should go with this hotfix.
    Description of the SharePoint Foundation 2010 hotfix package (Wss-x-none.msp): July 2, 2012
    Description reads:
    Assume that you use the metadata navigation and filter feature to filter a view of a document library. When you check in or check out a document through the menu on the ribbon, you receive the following error exception:

  • Infopath does not default yes/no field value.

    More infopath issues.
    I have 2 yes/no fields in a SharePoint list.  In infopath, the fields are defined to default to FALSE.  When i attempt to add a new row or edit an existing row, infopath throws an error
    The form cannot be submitted because it contains validation errors.
    So basically, Infopath does not default the value as defined in the form, and then throws an error because it didn't default it.  I tried setting the value in the form in a rule if it's not TRUE or FALSE but this also does not work.  Tried setting
    the value to "false" also but again, it does not execute the rule as instructed.  The error says only "true" or "false" are permitted but infopath provides "TRUE" and "FALSE" as the options on the box.
    Infopath needs to decide on what it wants!
    In addition, Infopath changed the definition of my field to default to "YES" when I had it defaulting to "NO".
    I think the problem is that infopath has the wrong idea.  SharePoint uses "YES/NO" as values while infopath thinks YES=TRUE and NO=FALSE.  Pretty stupid eh.
    One question... IS INFOPATH A RECOMMENDED OPTION FOR SHAREPOINT?????   MY GUESS:  NO WAY!!!  This tool is a complete piece of junk!

    Hello Roland and jd,
    I've the same issue here with InfoPath 2010 (international version of MS Office Professional Plus Version 14.0.7015.1000 (32-bit) - but set to English language).
    The property of a check box only offers (Blank), TRUE, FALSE, 1, 0 for data type "True/False (boolean)".
    TRUE and FALSE are not accepted at "Form Submit" - this is due to a built-in check, not a validation rule.
    I tried to set the boolean field with a rule to either "true" or "false" just before submit - the rule action dialog does not check the data type like the check box but provides an empty text field. However, this does
    NOT solve the issue!!
    I can avoid the hassle with a text field which I assign "TRUE" and "FALSE".
    The boolean field is not used as SharePoint property, so this is definitly a problem of Infopath 2010.
    Any ideas? Suggestions?

  • VMM 2012 R2 - Create or Update Run As Account Failure: The specified directory service attribute or value does not exist

    VMM 2012R2 UR4 - Version 3.2.7768.0
    Not sure when this started happening since I haven't had to update or create a new RunAs account in VMM in some time, but every time I do, either through the console or through PowerShell it throws an error about The specified directory service attribute
    or value does not exist.  The VMM Service account is the same as it always has been, and other than this issue everything with VMM is working fine.  The full text of the error message is below.
    I am hoping someone has some ideas because I don't have any more at this point.

    Hi,
    You want userPrincipalName, not userPrincipleName.

  • Error 'The location you entered does not exist or is flagged as inactive.'

    Hi
    In iRecruitment, when Employee Candidate applies for any job, we are getting the error 'The location you entered does not exist or is flagged as inactive.' And it stops employee from applying to any jobs. We are in 11.5.10.2 version.
    Appreciate any pointers on the same.
    Thanks

    Hi Hussein
    Thanks for the update.
    I have gone through all those notes. But, the issue we face here seems to be a peculiar one. First of all, it happens while applying for job (iRecruitment Self Service) and not while creating a contingent worker or creating an employee in the form, as given in the notes.
    Moreover, We haven't had this error either in development nor in test instance. It happened only when we migrated the setups to Production. Moreover, the test and development are nothing but the clone of production at various time intervals. We have tested this on the very latest clone of production (that happened on 15th november) and verified that it doesn't popup there.
    Can you give me some insights 'What could be the actual problem'?
    Considering the solution given in the notes, it talks about 'Setting the default work location for the business group'? Where to set this up?
    Appreciate all your help.
    Thanks
    Alagappan

  • Row Insert Failed - Column name or number of supplied values does not match

    Hi ,
    I am trying add a new field to an existing table in MSSQL and access it in portlets,
    I added the new field in the table, and making necessary updations to the accessing java code seems to look fine. but when i insert the new rwo, fails with exception listed below.
    My code tidbits is as follows.
                   System.out.println("Column Location of outsidePhysician"+ aResultSet.findColumn("outsidePhysician")); // works and returns 24
                   if (anIntake.getOutsidePhysician() != null && !(anIntake.getOutsidePhysician().equals("")))
                        System.out.println("Now Alternate Physician will be added to resultset");
                        aResultSet.updateString(24, anIntake.getOutsidePhysician());
                        aResultSet.updateString("outsidePhysician",anIntake.getOutsidePhysician());
                        System.out.println("Now Alternate Physician already added to resultset"); // also printed
                   }else{
                        aResultSet.updateString(24, "new Physician");
                        aResultSet.updateString("outsidePhysician","new Physician");
                   //NOT NULL
                   aResultSet.insertRow(); // fails here
                   System.out.println("Inserted");
    The table has the right field name too, which is proved when i retrieve the fieldno, based on field name. I tried to delete the field and removing these changes work ok..
    Any ideas would be of help

    I haven't ever used that method of inserting rows, but from the example in the API documentation it looks to me like you have to callaResultSet.moveToInsertRow();before you callaResultSet.insertRow();Or are you just "inserting" the physician's name into existing rows of the database? If that's what you are doing then you need to callaResultSet.updateRow();Message was edited by:

    L_FRM_DTE and L_TO_DTE input mask is MM/DD/YYYY
    i got the output in report builder and as well as from the application also but after the compiled the same report

  • Value does not fall within the expected range in my itemupdated eventreceiver while accessing a splist column on the root site collection

    hi,
     I am performing the below operations:
    1) Itemupdated event handler when a document is uploaded into the document library
    2) Now amreading another list which is in the root  site level so, i used spsite, spweb again and accessed that splist and trying to read single line of text column and user or group column.
    Now when i am reading this, i am getting the error "Value does not fall within the expected range".
    I went to resource throttling under central admin -->my current web appln and changed that value to 20  from 8
    even after performing the above, i am getting the same error.
    pls help anyone has faced this issue before.
    Accessing a splist which is under root site collection within the itemupdated eventreceiver is allowed in SP ?

    hello sir,
     as per my requirement i have to access a  splist which is residing in the ROOT SITE COLLECTION OF THIS WEB APPLICATION. the event receiver i have written is residing in one of the few document libraries within the sub site. there are hundreds
    of sub sites exist in this site collection. I need to access the root site collection within the itemevent receiver and access thatperson column from that splist. why i ahve kept this list at the root site collection level [
    http://server1:2020/ ] , because this  splist is the UI for customer's sp admin for performing  weekly tasks. like adding few items in the splist and my event receiver fires and check this column- person /group
    column ]  and apply permissions on the  document.
    so my doubt is it possible to access the root site collection from my event receiver code.
    spweb from properties web is just the subsite url and not the site collection. i want to get the root sitec ollection url's splist.
    also am already running this code under runwithelevatedprivileges.

  • Value does not fall within the expected range while passing a spfieldlookupvalue in a caml QUERY

    i have to pass a column from master list -single line of text - and this will be the lookup of another column in another list
    splist1---> column1 [ free text]
    splist2--> column2  [ lookup column of the above list -splist1]
    now am writing a  caml query :
       objDisciNodeQuery.Query =
                                          string.Format(
                                       "<OrderBy>" +
                                         "<FieldRef Name='ID' />"
    +

                                        "<And>" +
                                          "<Eq>" +
                                             "<FieldRef

                                             "<Value

                                          "</Eq>" +
                                          "<Eq>" +
                                             "<FieldRef

                                         "</And>" +
                                       "</Where>", valueofsomecolumn, lookupidvalueofcolumn2);
                                        SPListItemCollection splistItemAssocCollec
    = null;
                                        splistItemAssocCollec = splist2.GetItems(objDisciNodeQuery);
    here it throws Value does not fall within the expected range
    Anyone has idea why i am getting this error, .
    any ideas  are appreciated.

    We can use lookup column in caml query link this
    <Where>
    <Eq>
    <FieldRef Name=’Departments’ LookupId=’TRUE’ />
    <Value Type=’Lookup’>10</Value>
    </Eq>

  • New field in ODS - data value does not flow after activation

    Hi,
    We have an ODS with some data in it. Now i added a new key figure to the ODS and changed the transfer and update rules accordingly.
    The value for this key figure appears in the PSA and the ODS table *40 (before activation table), but after activation the value does not flow to the activated ODS table *00.
    Any idea why this is happening?
    Pl let me know.
    Regards,
    Pradhiba

    Hi Pratibha
    I did not found anything wrong with key figure 0OI_WRBTR in BW system.
    Please check the contents of active table in *00 table using SE16 and also using tcode LISTCUBE.
    I hope you are not selecting wrong key figure while looking at active data of ODS.
    Regards
    Pradip

  • [[DataDirect][ODBC SQL Server Wire Protocol driver][Microsoft SQL Server]Column name or number of supplied values does not match table definition.]

    Hii ..
    need help on this ..
    This what I am doing ..
    I am using a DATAEXPORT function to export level0 data from my essbase 11.1.2.2 to Microsoft SQL 2008 tables.
    So what I did first I exported the level0 data to a flat file using DATAEXPORT and the created the SQL columns by the same  in that order only in my SQL table.
    When I run it fails with this error:

    Total Calc Elapsed Time for [test.csc] : [1.44] seconds
    =============================================================
    I did a simple test on my Sample.basic application then ..
    loaded the calc data to it and then used the below script to export to a flat file
    //ESS_LOCALE English_UnitedStates.Latin1@Binary
    SET DATAEXPORTOPTIONS
                    DataExportLevel "Level0";
                    DataExportOverwriteFile ON;
                    DataExportColFormat OFF;
                    DataExportDimHeader OFF;
    FIX(
                "Jan",
                "Sales",
                "Actual"
    /*DATAEXPORT "File" "," "/home/hypadmin/samtest.txt";*/
    DATAEXPORT "DSN" "Abhitest" "sample" "sa" "welcome1";
    ENDFIX
    out put as below:
    "Sales"
    "100-30","California"
    "Jan","Actual",145
    Now In sql I created only 3 columns with name Jan/Sales/Actual and when I run this script again with comments removed .. I get the same error as what I have got in my first test case with other application ..
    but when I create the columns with same name as what its in export
    Sales/100-30/Califirnia/Jan/Actual
    It created the new rows successfully ..
    So with this I think the error which I am getting with my other application might be because of the same column issue  .. but then I have created all the columns by looking at the export file only as I did in sample ..
    Any idea would be helpful ..
    Thanks
    Abhishek
    I

    First make sure you add
    DataExportRelationalFile ON;
    to your set commands it is missing
    I alwats like to also add
    DataExportColHeader dimensionName;
    so I am sure what dimension is getting put into the columns.
    Then count the number of dimensions in your outline (exclude attribute dimensions). You need at least that many columns in your table  -1 + the number of  members you will be returning as columns in the export
    Taking your example Sample basic has 5 dimensions
    Measures
    Years
    Scenario
    Product
    Market
    Since you did not specify a dataexportcolheader it took the dense dimension Scenario as the columns. Your fix statement is limiting that to one member. Doing the math
    5 -1 + 1 = 5 columns in your table which is what you found works.  Suppose you fixed on bothe Actual and budget in scenario then you would need 6 columns 5 -1 +2

  • Data type of the base attribute or the base value does not match...

    ...the assigned expression.
    Hello all,
    I always get the Error
    +<ERROR+
    The English message must be something like this:
    The data type of the base attribute or the base value does not match the assigned expression.
    when I run my mapping. The attribute REGISTRATIONS is NUMERIC (12,2) in the Cube and I map a NUMERIC(12,2) constant in it.
    I use a simple OWB-Mapping for loading, but I don't understand why it doesn't function. Other mappings where the attributes are out of a
    table I put in a cube are running well.
    I tried different things, but nothing fixed my problem. Any idea ?
    Thanks a lot for help
    Michael

    Technically this is a 'warning' from the server, not an 'error'. This means that the change you made should have been submitted, but you get an warning message on the client. AWM would suppress this warning, but evidently OWB does not. Can you switch to use AWM?
    Here is the definition of the warning along with 'cause' and 'action' sections. (Unfortunately these sections are not translated into German for some reason.)
    >
    02517, 0, "The data type \"%(1)s\" of the base attribute or base measure is different from the mapped expression \"%(2)s\"."
    // *Cause: Either the base attribute or base measure with the mapped expression was set to an inconsistent data type, or it was mapped to an expression of a different data type from its fixed data type.
    // *Action: When changing a mapped expression for a base attribute or base measure, ensure that the expression has the same data type; otherwise, set the data type of the base attribute or base measure to NULL first. When a base attribute or a base measure has an existing mapped expression, do not set it to a different data type.
    >
    It is probably safe to ignore this warning, but if you can post the relevant XML for the cube, then will probably be able to spot the problem. I assume that REGISTRATIONS is a measure in the cube CUB_REGISTRATIONS_AW, so this is what you can look for in the XML:
    (1) The definition of the base measure along with the datatype. It should be something like this
    <Measure>
      <BaseMeasure
        SQLDataType="NUMBER(12,2)"
        ETMeasureColumnName="REGISTRATIONS"
        Name="REGISTRATIONS">(2) The mapping info for the measure, which should looks something like this:
    <MeasureMap
      Name="REGISTRATIONS"
      Expression="...">
      <Measure Name="REGISTRATIONS"/>
    </MeasureMap>I don't know if you can get the XML directly from OWB. If not, then DBMS_CUBE.EXPORT_XML should work (assuming you are in 11.2). You could also attach AWM and save the cube to an XML template.

  • Soap:Server was unable to process request. --- Value does not fall within the expected range

    Brand spanking new Sharepoint 2010 RTM and Designer 2010 RTM install. Unable to edit any page whatsoever even when checking out. Error in SP Designer: soap:Server was unable to process request. ---> Value does not fall within the expected range.
    Like I said, this is a brand new RTM install with nothing altered yet. Why can't I edit any pages? I am using the highest credentials so there should be no permission issues. There isn't anything that is helping me on the Web for this.
    Why would I encounter a problem like this out of the box? This is not the beta - it is RTM!

    Go to :
    Site Collection Administration
    SharePoint Designer Settings
    and Enable the following
    Enable Detaching Pages from the Site Definition
    Enable Customizing Master Pages and Page Layouts
    Enable Managing of the Web Site URL Structure
    This should resolve the SP Designer Edit Issues.

  • FTXP-error-Domain MWART fixed value  does not exist- Message no. F4341

    Hi,
    I am trying to created a new record for a tax code, and i get this error
    Domain MWART fixed value  does not exist
    Message no. F4341
    I looked up OB40, and not sure how to fix this. Do you know how to check the tax codes? How to validate OB40?
    Thanks.

    Hello,
    Please follow this procedure for the input tax codes which experience
    the error F4341:
    1) Go to SE16 and enter table T007A
    2) Hit enter and in the next screen choose the following parameters
       and enter values that represent the tax code for input tax which are
       encountering the problem.
       KALSM (tax procedure)
       MWSKZ (tax code)
    3) Click on the "execute" button.
    4) Take special attention to column MWART which represents tax type.
       This should only have a value "V" to represent input tax (or "A" if
       output tax).
    5) The cause of the error F4 341 is when this column does not contain
       any value or is blank.  Which means that there is no defined tax type
       "A" or "V" maintained in customizing.
    6) To correct this you should maintain the value again via FTXP for the
       corresponding tax codes and complete all the customizing settings
       relating to tax on sales and purchases thereunder. Afterwhich you
       should no longer experience the error message.
