Location-problem, Ipad....?
Hi there. I own two new Ipads, I live in Norway, but my Ipads seems to think that they are outside New York, USA. So when I update my fb-status, it says that I'm in Clintondale USA. does anyone know why??
I would check under Settings > General > Date & Time and see if the "Set Automatically" is turned on.
Is the Time Zone below that showing the appropriate location?

If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact AppleCare(or Apple ID Support), upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.

Once the operator has verified your identity they will send a message through to your device which contains an alpha numeric code, which you will need to read back to them.
Once this has been completed they will send an email to your iCloud email address after a period of 24 hours, so you should check that mail is enabled in your devices iCloud settings.
Upon receipt of the email, use the reset link provided to reset your password, after which you should be able to make the adjustments to iCloud that you wish to do. -
Hi, i live in Canada and recently purchased a used and unlocked BB Storm 9530 off the internet from texas USA. I am using the phone Pre-paid for the time being and for some reason my calls I make are costing me a fortune. I live in a border-town with a US town right on the american side but since the phone is pre-paid it cant roam. Ive talked to my cell phone company about this and they said for some reason the phones is calling internationally and its not the service itself. The phone is manually selected for my home network and i just cant figure it out. is it because the phone is an american phone? is there any way of checking more into this because i cant even use my phone to call because $5.00 for a 15 second call is rediculous. please help!

What a totally ridiculous claim. Most iPad owners have no problems at all in this area. The fact that you are is invidual to you and your case and, absent any useful information at all in your two posts aside from "Hey, it ain't working ...", I guess we could guess that your problems are due to the fact that
a. You don't have a 3G model, and therefore you don't have GPS, or ..
b. You do, but it isn't working right, or ..
c. You do, and it's working right, but PEBKAM, or ..

I-Pad Mini and Wi-Fi Connection. At one location the I-Pad Mini will not connect to wi-fi, while I-Pad and I-Phone 5 works just fine.
Then at another location the I-Pad Mini works just fine. Are there any suggestions anyone can give me to get I-Pad Mini to work everywhere just like I-Pad and I-Phone 5?Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)

Computer illiterate here. I wanted to upgrade my iPad2 from an iOS 4.3.5 to a 5.0 so i could upgrade some of my games. Initially when iPad2 wanted to upgrade to 5.0 I said no because people said it was causing a lot of problems. Now I cannot play certain games because I don't have iOS 5.0. I went to iTunes because I cannot locate any upgrades on my iPad 2 and the upgrade was to iOS 7.0 which I did. Now when I go to my iPad 2, it says HELLO and wants me to follow all these steps. When I try to restore my back up, iTunes cannot locate my iPad 2 or other items I purchased. What can I do, I should have just left it at iOS 4.3.5 - at least I could use my iPad 2?

It sounds like you are not seeing your iPad in iTunes after updating it. I would recommend the following article to help you get that working again:

Here is an overview of the troubleshooting to be done:
1. Update iTunes
2. Check the USB cable
3. Verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is installed
4. Restart the Apple Mobile Device Service
5. Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed
6. Check for third-party software conflicts
If the issue persists, try uninstalling iTunes and its associated apps with either of these two articles depending on your operating system version:

I have one apple ID for both my Iphone 4S and Ipad. My Ipad was stolen from me and when I checked the iCloud, it can only locate the Iphone 4S. How can I locate the Ipad device?

You can only locate your device when it is logged into iCloud and 'Find My Phone' is enabled, additionally the device will need to be switched on and connected to a wifi or cellular network.
Unfortunately, you cannot activate iCloud or 'Find My Phone' remotely. -

Hello,
yesterday i started again a dayly connection to my telescope with skysafari with
WLAN over a router. Suddenly no connection was possible, both with ipad 3
and before fine working ipad mini ( 6.0.2) The router was the same .
In the system preferences WLAN connect to my ipads correctly .
But the program with exactly the same preferences as the day before can`t connect
to the client on my telescope .
Any ideas
IP Telecop 192.168.2.101 - Router 192.168.2.1- Ipad 192.168.2.100 DNS no Dlink Port 4030
Connection to Ipad : yes
Connection to the program on ipad : no
Day before nothing was wrong .

If the location info is captured with the photo, the location info is included with the photo's EXIF data which should not be removed from a photo that includes it when importing the photos from the Camera Roll with your computer or when the photos are included with the Photo Stream.

After starting the node in a cluster environemnt, often receiving "Unable to load Translation schemas from for http://xmlns.oracle.com/BRM/schemas/BusinessOpcodes due to: XSD Location problem.
XSD Loading problem."
This is mainly observed in BRM schemas, has anyone exprienced this? what shall be the workaround/solution other than restarting the container/application?
We are using SOA 10.1.3.4 MLR 8 and Oracle AIA 2.4.
Please help.The BRM schemas are present in the AIA Components which will be referred by the load balancer url in a clustered environment. However, if in any of the nodes, the url for AIA Components has the local node url instead of load balancer url, this issue occurs.
Identify the node which is giving the issue (shutting down one node at a time and retrying the operation which gives the error). In the node which has the issue, try doing a search on AIA components to find out if there is any reference using local node url instead of load balancer.
If you find any, replace with the load balancer url. I had faced a similar issue and I was able to resolve it as I have mentioned above.

I just discovered that my ipad was stolen. I located it using mobileme and immediately use the wipe data function which immediately cleared the location information or tracking function. Is there a way to use locate my ipad or track it after activated the wipe function?
Sadly, no. Once you choose to wipe your data, it removes ALL of your data. That includes your MobileMe information. You won't be able to track it anymore. But, your data isn't compromised either! For the furture, (but I'm sure you already know) it may be best to send your iPad a message first asking the finder to call a phone number or email an address if found. You can lock your device with a code and give it a few minutes/hours to be returned before you wipe it. Of course, if you know for sure it was stolen then wiping it probably was the safest decision. I'm sorry to hear about your loss and I hope you either find it soon or are able to purchase a new device.
