Location problem

Hello
Another N900 problem...
I use skype and msn accounts, and when I'm on the road, it constantly updates my location and puts it in my nickname.
Now it doesn't do that anymore: the location thing in the status bar has dissapeared. When I click on the small map widget (the power button thing, to see your location) it does get my position, and at that point, the location thing IS in the status bar.
But, I think, when it has a fixed position, it stops auto-refreshing.
Anyone with the same problem or a solution?

One possible workaround is to change the ssid. The phones should in theory not recognise it and remap. Try it and let me know.
It isn't exactly the router that is transmitting the wrong location. It is your phones from past experience associating the router with a specific location.

XSD Location Problem.

Hi Gurus,
After starting the node in a cluster environemnt, often receiving "Unable to load Translation schemas from for http://xmlns.oracle.com/BRM/schemas/BusinessOpcodes due to: XSD Location problem.
XSD Loading problem."
This is mainly observed in BRM schemas, has anyone exprienced this? what shall be the workaround/solution other than restarting the container/application?
We are using SOA 10.1.3.4 MLR 8 and Oracle AIA 2.4.
Please help.

The BRM schemas are present in the AIA Components which will be referred by the load balancer url in a clustered environment. However, if in any of the nodes, the url for AIA Components has the local node url instead of load balancer url, this issue occurs.
Identify the node which is giving the issue (shutting down one node at a time and retrying the operation which gives the error). In the node which has the issue, try doing a search on AIA components to find out if there is any reference using local node url instead of load balancer.
If you find any, replace with the load balancer url. I had faced a similar issue and I was able to resolve it as I have mentioned above.

Storm9530 Location problem??

Hi, i live in Canada and recently purchased a used and unlocked BB Storm 9530 off the internet from texas USA. I am using the phone Pre-paid for the time being and for some reason my calls I make are costing me a fortune. I live in a border-town with a US town right on the american side but since the phone is pre-paid it cant roam. Ive talked to my cell phone company about this and they said for some reason the phones is calling internationally and its not the service itself. The phone is manually selected for my home network and i just cant figure it out. is it because the phone is an american phone? is there any way of checking more into this because i cant even use my phone to call because $5.00 for a 15 second call is rediculous. please help!

What a totally ridiculous claim. Most iPad owners have no problems at all in this area. The fact that you are is invidual to you and your case and, absent any useful information at all in your two posts aside from "Hey, it ain't working ...", I guess we could guess that your problems are due to the fact that
a. You don't have a 3G model, and therefore you don't have GPS, or ..
b. You do, but it isn't working right, or ..
c. You do, and it's working right, but PEBKAM, or ..
d. You don't have a 3G model, and your iPad is unable to resolve the local WIFI data to generate a rough location, or ...
e. Same as d. above, but the local wifi datafields are simply incomplete or incorrect, or ...
f. Yadda yadda yadda ......

Autocomplete text popup location problem

Hi,
I encounter a autocomplete text popup location problem
whereas the popup location is always located few cm below the textBox itself.
Any idea how to solve this?
Is there any property i need to set in order to prevent this?
I am using BluePrints Ajax Component by the way.

i think that is the problem.
i have a autocomplete textfield under groupPanel and this groupPanel is located under gridPanel
and the resultiing popup list is located outside the panel itself.

Maps Location Problems - PLEASE HELP

I have an 8 Gb iphone with firmware 1.1.4 and am trying to use the maps location feature. it will not work unless i turn my WiFi off and then try to locate and once i have been located i can turn WiFi back on and get a more accurate location. even if i am not connected to WiFi but i still have the WiFi feature turned on it will not work. please help

I recall this post before. Were you the same one that posted it? The Google map location function seems to be the problem here, and it could be an issue with the application. Did you try the troubleshooting steps in order, power off/on, reset, restore? If you did and that doesn't seem to fix it, then I suggest a trip to the Apple Store Genius bar. I also find it interesting that once you get a location, that turning on the WiFi gets it more accurate. I've not seen that. The location goes out and gets its information from a webserver. If there is an issue connecting to their database, I don't know that you would get an error message. I think I posted the name of the server before, I just can't remember it now. There is a way to update location information with that service, it is posted on their webpage. I know I have the location saved on my desktop, it's is just that I'm away from home right now on my laptop. I'll see if I can find it for you.

Purchase Order: Ship to location problem - Please help

I have come across a problem when publishing Purchase orders where the PO header ship to address differs to a seperate PO line ship to address.
I have written the following Choose statement to try and show separate ship to locations for each separate PO line.

my logic is that if the header ship to ID is = to the line items ship to ID then just show some basic PO line info.
Otherwise if the numbers differ then show the individual lines info along with the additional Ship to address which is in ADDRESS_LINE1, ADDRESS_LINE2 etc.
And repeat this condition for how ever many PO lines exist for the overall purchase order.
However, when i publish this the "otherwise" condition never gets checked if the first PO line is TRUE and vis versa if the first PO line is false.
So if the first PO line is true then every single PO line will just show the When condition even if the separate PO lines ship to ID differs to the POH_ship to id.
any idea why the otherwise condition wont fall true for the 2nd 3rd or however many PO lines there are if the first PO line is flagged as true?

I have a PO that we are using that has basically the same requirements. If the line address is different (any of them) then the header prints a message to "see below" and the address line contains the shipping information.
The way I have done this was to create a variable and compare to see of any of the lines were different when the header was read. Then check the var when the line is processed. The template is quite long as we have many fields that dynamically display/or not so I will post a truncated version below and also please note that on this form we simply gave up using the Oracle's "fantastic" MSWORD plug-in and had to use pure a XML-FO template. However, I think the portions/logic you need should be transferable into MSWORD if you are careful.
If snipit of code is not enough let me know and I can try to paste the entire thing after my marathon meeting today <ugh!>.

Location problem with my iPad

Hello everyone!
I own an iPad 16GB WiFi. I have a problem with location system in all my apps from iPad since a few days. Any of my apps can get my location. All of them shows a message about location error.
I'm using WiFi connection at home and never had this problem before.
Some things that have changed in the last days:
- I replaced my home gateway. I had a Comtrend HG536+. Now I'm using a Cisco Linksys WAG320N.
- I changed WiFi security from WPA to WPA2.
- I updated my iPad to iOS 4.3.4 version.
All my devices connect correctly to the WiFi network, even my iPad. Why suddenly location doesn't work on my iPad?

It has become a mystery as to how the router would become registered. It used to be that you could do this yourself online, but I think that self-registry is gone or Apple no longer uses that database.
The security method does not mater.

Tooltip location problem

Ok, i have a jfram with lots of components that uses different tooltips. The tooltips display some information and can get fairly big.
The problem i have is that the tooltips for components are located so that they maybe go outside of the actual jframe that holds all the components.
I want the tooltips to be relocated so that they are always fully inside the jframe's edges and not go outside.
Anyone can give any hints on how to fix this?

File location problem

Hi,
I am new in JSP and need help in locating the files of the project. I'm using Jdeveloper and context path of the project is "Change%20Request-ViewController-context-root" .I have one image-Apps.jpg ,which I want to use, having path as Change%20Request-ViewController-context-root/img/Apps.jpg
Now problem is, when I check if the Apps.jpg file exist or not through
String s=Change%20Request-ViewController-context-root/img/Apps.jpg;
File image=new File(s);
System.out.println(image.exists()); //returns false;

where as :<img src="<%=s%>"> shows the image.
How can we check the existence of the file ?

Parent.frame.location problem in firefox

Hello! I'm making a JSP page which opens a new page with 2 frames. The left frame has links which changes the location of the right frame. The right frame either displays an oracle report or another JSP that displays a PDF file. The thing is, I use parent.frame.location to change the display and it works ok with IE, but not in firefox. Anyone know why this is and how to fix it?

Page header location problem

Hello,
I'm a website application developer and I had a complaint from one of our customers that he was having a problem and when I tested it out I noticed that in Safari that when we use this code here to send a user with missing info in our db to the page to enter the missing details, it starts an endless loop..

this is using PHP btw, but what happens is, it keeps appending "?s=mod_user&i=1&note=wb" over nad over and over till Safari dies.. Strange thing is, that we dont have this problem with any other browsers and if we add a prepending / it fixes the problem, seems the browser has issues with urls that are relative and not absolute. Just figured I'd point this out so you can fix it in the next release.. btw, nice looking browser, I'm an IE power user myself but I'd most certainly use this browser, its clean and fast

An image location problem

Hello everyone, I have written a few programs that load images,Objects etc. When I move one of these to a different computer, I have been resetting the String that specifies the directory where the images/Objects are stored manually. This got really annoying so I decided to work out how to make the program determine the directory itself. I tried this:
(in the class that loads the image)
String location = this.getClass().getResource("/myImage.png").getPath();
where the image is in the same directory as the class that loads the image. The problem is that URL's replace spaces with %20 which means when I try to create a File from the String the File does not exist.
I know that I can overcome this with a lot of class's such as ImageIcon as their constuctors can take URL's but I would still like to get a class's location in a String that is compatible with a Files constructor.
Any help would be appreciated

I'm unclear on how you're distributing your program to other computers, but if you end up with a structure like this:

--soundsThen to load the file avater.gif in the player subdirectory of the images directory, you would want to get "images/player/avatar.gif." You shouldn't need to know where the working directory is or what it's name is or anything like that.

IPod Touch 2.0 location problem...

Downloaded 2.0 and loving it. Discovered one problem I cannot figure out how to fix. I have searched everywhere for an answer, but haven't seen this yet.
I have had a few new apps ask if they can use my current location. When I answer yes to them, it says my current location is Topeka Kansas. My location is in California. Any idea how I fix this?
The apps that it is causing problems with is yelp, showtimes, AOL radio (when it finds local stations...it's in Kansas), etc.

Excel 2013 Second Window Location Problem

Now that I have been upgraded to Office 2013 I have problems with opening more than one file at a time.
I use 3 monitors for working on multiple spreadsheets. Usually I display the files across two monitors and use the third for VBA window, or reading email, or other work. I often open multiple
files from the Windows Explorer.
If I open one file it will open to the size and location I closed the last Excel file, but if I open multiple files only the first opens correctly the remaining files always open on the far
right monitor (correctly sized) with half of each new window beyond the edge of the viewable desktop.

Have you ever try to save Document ,PPT file or Text file to the NAS? Does this issue only occurs with excel file?
what will happen if you copy the file to NAS instead of use the 'save as' feature within excel?
When you open the excel file, if it flagged as read-only, try to right-click the file, check if the read-only option is ticked. Also you can try to save the file as different file format to test this issue.
Also please check if you enable the preview pane, try to disable it .
a) Open File Explorer.
b) Click on View Tab.
c) Click on Preview Pane to view\hide it.

Using a dummy acct. to test-drive apps & docs to locate problem...

I recently have resorted to a clean install after troubleshooting a breakdown. In an effort to locate the source of the problem, I began installing hardware units one at a time (M-Audio interface, 2nd monitor, FW HD, USB HD and 2 USB printers), followed by applications, also one at a time. After loading and testing Logic 7.2, I loaded the Print Shop. Next I loaded Finale (which application I was using, along with Safari, when my computer initially went into it's tail-spin). Before testing Finale, I ran an installer for a Garritan sound library, included with the Finale install disc and meant to work with Finale. Immediately following this, my computer began acting very drunk. After a long, slow reboot, I was eventually able to remove both Finale and Garritan. My comp ran normal until the next morning, after which time I couldn't get past the blue screen at start-up. With phone help from Apple i was eventually able to boot up in safe mode. Further checking and testing eventually led to another clean install. Having cleaned the slate, I now wish to test each application in a test account, so that I don't trash my own personal account again. Once I have tried and proven an app, how do I transfer it from the test account to my own personal account (do I have to reinstall it or can I just move it from one account to another)? Is this even a reasonable way to test my stuff or is it a waste of time?

Also, if I used disk image and have to reload it onto a wiped HD, how do I open & install the clone without having to reinstall from my Tiger disc first?
A Disk Image & a Clone are two different things, you need an operating OS to Mount/Restore the Disk image, a Clone you just select to boot from by holding the Option key down at bootup, and really the way to go.
