Location service (GPS problem) leading to loss of wifi and network signal.

I Have iphone 3gs factory unlocked .i have problem with my iphone ,when ever i on the location service, netwok as well as wifi signal drops for few seconds and then gains this problem continues until i off the location service. i had the problem in ios 5.1.1 so i updated to 6.1.3 but no use the problem continues. can any one help mee....

IPhone 6 location services/gps not working

Anyone else have an issue with iPhone 6 location services/gps not working? I have had it happen to me twice where it stopped working for good 7 or 8 hours and then all of sudden it starts working again. For example, directions don't work, every time I open Apple Maps it will say "Cannot determine location", then when I press the location icon on the bottom left, it will try to search again and have an approximate location but not exact, where as the iPad that I have right next to it is able to pin point the exact location. Sometimes the location circle is pulsing blue sometimes its gray. If I am driving and have tracking on it won't track, and so on. I have tried to setup the phone as new without restoring the backup, when it stopped working with no luck, it still didn't work. I went and restore it back from backup and few hours later it started to work again. This has happened twice now since I got the phone last Friday.

Update: my PC USB hub was connected to a USB 3 port, I connected the 30 pin cable directly to my PC, And the restore worked just fine. Restored phone from iCloud backup and seems to be working fine.

GPS problem (?) in new iPad wifi?

If I open Map app, iPad can show me my location... but it seems that the gps won't refresh itself. When I am moving around by car.... the gps will only show me the location where i open the map app and stays there and wont follow my moving car, until I re-launch the map app.
Is it a gps problem or does it the way wifi iPad work? Because I used to have an iPad (1st gen) wifi+3g and the map+gps worked fine.

Location services not working after iOS 6 update (WiFi only)

After updating my iPad (3 & WiFi only) to iOS 6 the location services no longer work. This stops some apps from working. It was fine before the update. Does anyone have a fix for this yet? I know others have been having the same problem.

Before IOS 4 iPad and iPhone used Google and Skyhook databases for position info. In April Apple switched to using it's own in house database for location services. In the past one could register the MAC address and position of a router or access point with Skyhook and within 2 to 3 weeks any device with location services could find itself. Now with Apple handling it's own position database and no way to register an access point or router it is hit or miss as to whether an iPad or iPhone can find itself using WIFI only. If you live in a rural area you are less likely to have location services work. Hopefully Apple will emulate Skyhook in future by allowing users to register their access points or router's location in their data base. Until then those of us in rural areas are out of luck. Is anyone having the same issues? when I use the MAPS app on my iPhone 5 it shows a wrong location and sometimes I'm in the MIDDLE OF ATLANTIC OCEAN. On my iPad 3 the location service arrow does not apear anymore and it was working fine in iOS 7.1.2. This ios 8 beta *****!!! S.O.S.

Wifi and network(Airtel-India) problem.

I got a little bit of problem here.
When I connect my Iphone 3gs to Wifi network and after a few minutes get out of the range of the wifi, then the 3g should work.
But in my case when I turn on wifi and connect to a network and after a few minutes turn off wifi, then its not able to connect to the 3g network(Airtel-India) which is availabe and i have tested this on my android phones too, it work perfectly fine there..

Technically, the phone CAN be tracked using the "serial" number, but no one will do that for you. If your phone is offline, there's no way of reaching it. Most likely, it's already been restored and either put up for sale on eBay, or is being used by the theives themselves.
Sorry, but there's nothing else you can do other than report it to your carrier, the police, and change all your passwords to any account that might have been in use on the phone.

I upgraded to ios6. Now the location options do not work (under privacy settings). I can only access "find my iphone". I am using a number of apps that use this function. Is this because of the default switch to apple maps?
Is there no way to geolocate images anymore, using the camera on the iphone?

You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

Xi-fi problem with Vista, loss of sound and a whis

Hello,I have a Xi-fi extreme Gamer, and Windows vista 32 bitWith many games, just to say one Overlord, but also with Gta S.Andreas, Teamfortress 2, Never Witner Night 2.. you name it, suddenly i lose all audio that is repleaced by a loud whistle, the whistle don't stop even if i quit the game and return to the OS. The only way to stop the whistle is to restart the PC. I tried to disable many options in the audio console but the problem return, with the last drivers i can't play Overlord for more than 4 minutes, then all i get from the audio is the whistle. Anyone have a suggestion to solve this problem?Thank you very much.

there seems to be lot of us having issues with sound falling off and odd noises.
We all seem to get the same reply from creative as well.. silence.
The only fix that works for some and not all is to go to the sound properties ( right click the volume, select playback devices, right click the speaker icon, select properties, select advanced )
And Turn down the sound quality from DVD quality to CD.
This has cured most of my games.

Loss of wifi and bluetooth

Just wanted to share an episode I had with my mini. Turns out that if you accidentally jar it right, you can dislodge the small ribbon cable going to the combination wifi/bluetooth card. It's a simple fix for a tech and can lead to long calls to tech support for no good reason. Love my mini at my home office and this is the first real hardware issue I've had with it, unlike my Hewlett Packard at work.

Homehub 3 problems with wifi and network - please ...

I am hoping someone can help me, as I am struggling to work out why I am getting so many problems with my network at home.
I have BT Infinity, and a Homehub 3A. I have had BT broadband for years. Infinity was added in Feb 2013. The HH3A is the original one supplied to me years ago.
When Infinity was installed I also added a pair of TP Link powerline adapters, to provide a connection to an unmanaged network switch in the lounge.
A rough outline of what I have connected to the router is:
Wired
- Synology NAS Diskstation
- Win7 laptop
- powerline adapter
Wifi
- 3 iphones
- 2 ipads
- Win7 laptop
- 2 Win Vista laptops
Powerline / network switch
- Sonos bridge
- TV
- BluRay
- Vodafone booster
- SkyHD
Recently I am getting a number of different problems:
1) wifi drops to everything connected to the router, at the same time, all blue lights are on the router
I lose wifi connection to the internet, from all devices, at the same time, but also the connection from my laptop to the NAS drops.
2) Anything connected to the Powerline adapter is rarely available
I try and connect to Sonos, or my sky box or the TV, but they aren't connected to the router. The lights on the powerline adapters indicate everything is fine, and the HH3 has all blue lights. But my iphone and laptop cannot find my Sonos. My iphone app cannot find my sky box. And on the TV it says it is not connected to the internet. To solve this problem I have to power cycle the pair of Powerline adapters.
Some observations:
1) these problems are all since Infinity was installed. I have no idea if that is relevant.
2) My NAS Diskstation has a powersave mode. I noticed last night that when I woke it up, the powerline adapters disconnected briefly, before reconnecting. But when they did reconnect I could not access anything connected to them. It was as if the NAS had booted them off the network, and then they couldn't get back on.
3) I run a 10m brand new Cat5e cable from the infinity modem to my router, because the modem is in the garage.
Can anyone help? I am tearing my hair out with this.

If you set the devices on the home hub to always use the same IP address, then that can help.
The problem is that when the DHCP lease expires, the home hub often gives the device a different IP address, and this breaks the port forwarding rules.
Some routers allow you to specify which IP addresses are to be reserved, but the home hub does not.

Problems in Boot Camp with Wifi and internal speakers

I loaded boot camp from Leopard with no known issues on installation. However, my wireless and internal speakers, which work fine in Leopard, do not work in Boot Camp. I'm guessing it's a driver problem, but I don't know how to proceed. I've tried reinstalling...
Any help is appreciated.

Hi Kerrywm, I have exactly the same problem. I can get my Apple Bluetooth keyboard to work fine after I set it up using a wired keyboard. But after a single reboot, the wireless keyboard is 'lost' in Windows XP. It's a real nuisance, it's like the Bluetooth 'preferences' for the keyboard are not remembered by Windows XP after restart. One exception however, after restart, seems to be that the top right hand key, the CD eject key on the keyboard, does work as a '+ volume' control key - its really odd! Fox.

Problems with setting up my wifi and my work emails

I was a long time curve user before I switched over to a nokia windows phone. Recently as of yesterday I switched back to blackberry with the Z10. So far i have had nothing but problems. I can't access wifi anywhere sayingt is unable to authenticate the network verify security settings everywhere and it won't let me add my two work emails which is the reason why i switched back in the first place. My old curve let me add up to 6 different emails and was easy to navigate. when I try my work emails it says its unable to find the connection then asks me for my work server. Additionally I havent been able to transfer all my data from my phone. It's been pretty frustrating thus far and i would llke some help to fix the problems I am having.

Since your phone is new and you have not transfered all you data yet try Restore.
Go to : Settings, Security and Privacy, Security Wipe, type blackberry.
Set your ID, before transferring any data or accessing WiFi set up your emails.
