Location to location STO customization

Hi,
I found many threads for the customization, of STO inetcompnay and intra compnay, but i want to set up STO for onluy location to location in the same plant, can you provide any stpes for this.

Hi,
You can do the storage location to storage location transfer in MB1B.
One Step:
Using the movement type 311 it is one step (immediately the stock will be udated in the second storage location)
Two setp
Mvmvt 313 - to remove from storage location 1 (then the stock will be displayed as stock in transit)
Mvmt 315 - to place the stock in to next storage location

This is for ECC6.0.
If you are using ECC5.0, you need to implement BADI MD_EXT_SUP.

Also unable to locate the customize section at all you mentioned and when i clicked on the areas shown in example

Don't you have a bar at the bottom on the "3-bar" Firefox menu button drop-down list with the Quit/Exit (Power) button and the Help (? and Customize choices?

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.

MRP - Create STO for Stockk Transfer between Storage Locations

Hi Everyone,
I have a scenario where MRP run should create Planned Order as well as STO for a VSF Requirement. The reason is our Plant has got 2 Storage Locations. One is the Production Storage Location and the other is Warehouse Storage Location. The Planned Order should be for Production SLoc and STO should for Stock Transfer from Production to Warehouse Storage Location. Your suggestions are much appreciated to resolve this issue.

not all new features can run in old environments.
I know that companies did already Storage location to storage location STOs in 4.6c but they had z-tables to assign customer numbers at storage location level, and they had changed some coding to make it happen.
I am not sure if there is an OSS note that explains the steps and modifications needed......but try to search OSS.

Stock transport order between storage locations and assignment category type E not in MRP

Hello Gurus,
I have a stock transport order between 2 storage location which belongs to the same plant. Besides the stock transport order is allocated to a sales order (account assigment category E). When I run the MD03, the system take into account the quantity of the stock transport order as a future entry and this is wrong. I need that the MRP has not into account the stock transport order as an entry.
As an important information, If I modify the stock transport order removing the account asignment category E (sales order), then the MRP doesn't take into account it, so this is correct.
Could anybody tell me how to get it?

It is normal that MRP will consider an STO as a receipt element; this is basic planning. It is unclear to me why you think you do not want it to do so, but I will assume you have some logical reason.
Contrary to what some others may have suggested, changing the scope of check for availability checking has no effect on which elements are considered for MRP. MRP is a completely separate functionality from Availability Check.
For Location > Location STOs (within a plant), then, you normally have the receipt element of the STO in the destination storage location, and the requirements element of an equal amount in the source storage location. Net of these two elements is zero, unless you have already issued the STO at the source location.
Changing the Account assignment from "E" means that the STO will not be relevant for your Sales order (in other words, when you receive this STO into the destination storage location, it cannot be used for your sales order). In a general MTO scenario, it also means that the proceeds of this STO (the stock you received) cannot be used for ANY sales orders.
One way that some people make an STO 'not relevant' for MRP is to alter the destination storage location such that it is not relevant for MRP. You can change the MRP relevancy of the storage location in MM02 > MRP4 tab

Firefox tracks location, how could I remotely find my location history?

Hi there, I know that Firefox tracks my location to customize search results, gather information, etc. etc. My laptop was recently stolen and I was wondering if I can remotely access this location history...

Firefox doesn't store location data, all it does is make your location available to certain websites (if you allow it). For example, you visit google maps, you can allow google maps to know your location to make search results more relevant.

I'm sorry about your situation, but i don't think Firefox's locatoins services will be of any use to you, unless you somehow set up a website, had the thief visit the website using Firefox, allow sharing the location and you knew it was your laptop, an somehow capture the location data from the website. And even then the results are only so accurate (I believe several hundred feet can be the margin of error). Your best results will be to contact the police (which I'm sure you've already done).

Missing Tools, no 'Customize' button

I have Acrobat XI 11.0.06 at work, where I make extensive use of the highlighter tool, Text Recognition tool, and Add Text tool.
How do I get these tools on my home version? I have a highlighter button, but there is no Text Recognition tool on the sidebar, and no Content Editing tool on the sidebar. What do I have to do to get these tools? The Support pages all say to use the Customize button, but I have no Customize button either. Please help!

Have you used UI Customization?
Can you try the following:
As you've been suggested, locate the Customize dropdown at the right of the toolbar on the top of the application. If there is no such control, this means it's probably a previous version of Acrobat that didn't support UI Customization yet.
If the control is there, make sure the 'Default Tools' setting is selected.
If not, can you tell me what you see in the Tools pane when opening the Right Hand Pane clicking on the Tools tab above it (among with Sign and Comment)?

Customize the Service Request Status

I am trying to customize the status for a Service Request form. We want to add some additional ones to that list. I am not finding where I go to update that list.

The list you are looking for is in the Library Tab, Lists view, Service Request status. take a look at
How to Add a List Item.
I'd like to argue that this is probably not what you want to do, however, as the status property is pretty tightly managed by the out-of-the-box workflows that move service requests forward, and manually setting these statuses will likely break the out-of-the-box
activity status engine.
Instead, you probably want to Create a new MP in the authoring tool, Locate and
Extend the Service Request Class, add a new Enumeration property to your extension, use the Create List button to create a new list,
Save and seal your class extension MP, close your original unsealed class extension MP and open the Sealed copy, Create a second MP to contain the form extension,
Locate and
Customize the Service Request form,
add a new List Picker bound to the property and list you created before, Save and seal your Form Extension MP,
Import both the sealed versions into your test system, Create a new (unsealed) Management pack in the test system and all your list items to the list you created earlier, test the forms
and make sure they look right and show the right data, then Export the unsealed list MP, and import all three MPs (the sealed class MP, the sealed form MP, and the unsealed list items MP) into your production system.
This has the advantage that it gives you a new place to store your custom SR statuses that you can set to be whatever you like, and doesn't break the out-of-the-box activity engine workflows, or the grooming engine that depends on the "closed"
status.

STO - Movement Types

Hi
GRN with reference to purchase order or Inbound delivery, movement type taken is 101.
I've configured the STO process (Site to Site & Storage Location to Storage Location).
Site to Site process
STO and outbound delivery is created. Post Goods Issue completed with movement type (641). Same movement type 101 is captured during Goods receipt with respect to outbound delivery. Same in the case of Location to location STO.
Since movement type 101 is used for both process, in reporting level i'm not able to differentiate GR done from vendors and GR done through STO's.
Whether any customized movement types can be used for STO process.

Following are the DC and stores which we have.
DC : 6000 (Warehouse)
Store : 6001 (Showroom)
GR from vendors with reference to PO or inbound delivery completed with movement type 101 in DC 6000
Present stock position is 1000.
Now a STO from site to site 6000 to 6001
STO created for 10 pcs - Outbound delivery - PGI completed (641) - GR done at 6001 with reference to outbound delivery (101).
Again STO from 6001 to 6000.
STO created for 10 pcs - Outbound delivery - PGI completed (641) - GR done at 6000 with reference to outbound delivery (101).
Now the entries with movement type 101 in DC 6000 is for 1000 pcs and 10 pcs.
While extracting the data to BI, for stock movement reports. GRN qty will consider 1010 pcs.
We have around 7800 SKU's, entire report is getting wrong. Thats why i'm enquiring about customized movement types. Please suggest.

Customize page

since the customize page is provided by oracle portal, is there a way to edit the customize page with my own tools such as JAVA or JSP (or servlet) or is there existing another oracle portal to edit the customize page?

Yes, you could do this. First set the banner on and display the page. Copy the link location on customize link. Then create your HTML portlet which includes the link. Then turn the banner off again. The downside is that you do it for each page individually.
Moving forward, we are adding page template capabilities which will make this a little easier and more robust.

STO for Sloc to Sloc

Hi,
In our present project client is contemplating with the idae of using STO for storage location to storage location. with reference to this STO I have the following questions
a) Is it possible to capture the freight cost in the STO?
b) If possible to capture the freight costs then can we add this cost to the inventory? or we need to expense it?

Yes it is possible to capture the freight cost in case of storage location to storage location STO,
follow the below steps.
1: Creat one vendor and assign to your plant in purchasing view -> EXTRAS -> add purchasing data
2: Assign customer to plant
    IMG -> MM -> Purchasing - >Purchase Order -> Set up Stock Transport Order > Define Shipping Data for Plants
3: Assign Delivery Type and Checking Rule
    IMG -> MM -> Purchasing - >Purchase Order -> Set up Stock Transport Order > Assign Delivery Type and Checking Rule
4: Set Up Stock Transfer Between Storage Locations:
     IMG -> MM -> Purchasing - >Purchase Order -> Set up Stock Transport Order -> Set up Stock Transfer between Storage
      Locations.
5: Assign Delivery Type and Checking Rule According to Storage Location:
6: Define Shipping Data for Stock Transfers between Storage Locations
7: STO - P.O Pricing Procedure:
   SPRO > MM > Purchasing -> Conditions-> Define Price Determination Process -> Define Schema Determination - > Determine Schema for Stock Transport Orders - assign Document type to your STO pricing procedure.
   Double click on Determine schema for STO
make new entry as per your requirement assign the pricing procedure.
do all the above setting then do the user trnsaction ME21N, ME28, VL10B, VL02N, GR for outbond delivery.

MRP not considering STO as demand

Hi,
When I run MRP, it is not considering the Storage location STO (SLOC to SLOC) as the demand.
here is the scenario in detial.
Material 1, MRP1 : MRP type V1 Reorder point 10, MRP 4 MRP indicator, SP proc key 20, Reorder point 50, Repl qty 25
STO created for 30. MRP run. ORD DS as -30 and available qty as 20. At this stage I expected a Pur req because the stock fell below reorder point
Material 2, MRP1 : MRP type PD Reorder point 0, MRP 4 MRP indicator, SP proc key 20, Reorder point 50, Repl qty 25
Same thing observed in this case also.
Bottom line STO (SLOC to SLOC) it is not considering as demand.
Please let me know the options that I have and what i am missing.

The problem is solved.
I have made a change to the MRP type.
In the config, Under Additional requirements in Reorder point Planning, I have selected all the check boxes. For the current requirement, Order Reservation and Release Ord stock transfer are sufficient.
After transporting the values, It worked as expected. It considered, STO as well as reservations as demand.
PS: Initially it did not work after the transport. I went into the Material in the change mode and touched and saved it. It is working fine

GR for outbond delivery in STO

Hi,
I have done cross company STO customization, supplying plant is dpot and ordering is manufacturing plant now delivery and billing is done in depot and when i am making the GR ref. to outbond delivery in manufacturing plant the duty which we have pass through the depot plant are not coming automatically in reciving plant what setting need for this when i enter the excise invoice no. of rg23d it is giving message excise invoice does not exist in supplying plant.

You have to create excise invoice as the message clearly tells that there is no excise invoice for the outbound delivery document take help of your SD consultant for creating billing document and then create outgoing excise invoice in J1IIN then you can capture the same in the receiving plant when you do MIGO and J1IEX to capture and post excise invoice.
