Location wise authorization to user

Hi
my client is using account segmentation. it has diffrent users at diffrent locations. the server is at head office. the client does not want that the user at diffrent location could see the ledgers, business partners any thing related to user of other locations.
i have also created tax codes location wise like vat-ambala4%, vat-delhi4% so the tax codes should also be visible location wise to users.
eg:the user of delhi could see the accounts and bp's of only delhi location, not of other location and same case with user of other location
hope it clears.. plz help me in solving this..

Hi Malhotra,
Do you use the CitiXys TDS Add-on. There is a solution to block the other user from viewing it from this add-on.
Not from core SAP B1.

It is possible to do through SDK. although on a rather large scale. You need to establish an UDO idientify the userid with multiple project code, or project code with mulitple user ID. Then all the project code drop down inside SBO will need to be replaced by SDK to show only the project associated with current log in user id. To make it more complete, you need to establish error message in the SP_transactionnofication to hold the document if project code used (as they can still manually type in) is not usable by them!

Document status wise authorization

Use Auth Obj   C_DRAW_STA in your authorization role.
U will have a status network liket this
Create(AL)-> For Approval/release( FA)* -> Approved/Released(FR)
For Ex :-
Auth role for Engineer is Zdms_engg
This role will have auth obj C_DRAW_STA
Engineer with create auth for doc type DRW will have this values in his auth object
Doc type          DRW
Doc status       AL,FA
Assign this zdms_engg role to user ID.
HOD role:- zdms_hod
For HOD to approve will have values in his auth obj
Doc Type      DRW
Doc status    FA,FR
Assign this role to user ID of HOD
You will get the deired results.
Note:- They must have access to document type DRW so use auth obj C_DRAW_DOK with doc type DRW and C_DRAW_TCD with doc type DRW
Also read auth obj concept in help.sap.com to know the significans of each obj and their use and take help of BASIS person to do this.

Object-related authorizations (access control lists (ACLs)) allow authorizations for carrying out certain activities in folders and documents to be assigned.
These authorizations are inherited top-down (see Inheritance) and can be overridden at lower levels.
You use the authorization object ACO_SUPER to give certain users, such as system administrators, authorization to override the ACLs.
Note: Linked documents do not inherit the authorizations of the folder to which they are linked. These documents only inherit ACLs that result from their original use, that is, from the folder in which the documents are actually located and not from a folder by means of a link.

Storage location wise project stock valuation

Hi all,
I am tying to generate a report for storage locationwise project stock valuation. MBBS is giving the data valuation type as well as WBS element wise valuation.That is fine. I want to show the data storage location wise. So, I have taken MSPR table where I am getting data storage location wise. For this stock, i am picking up unit price from QBEW table. My user says there will be cases that the material comes in with different prices in a same financial period.Here I am facing issue when there are two prices for the same material with same Val.area and same WBS element .Pls tell me how can I pick up the correct price.

If stock with different price under 1 plant and 1 WBS Element put into different storage location based on the material price then in table MSPR we can have LGORT (storage location) as indicator there. Otherwise, since valuation type is not implemented, there is no other way you can differentiate stock based on price as you mentioned before.

Plant wise authorization

Hi,
With the help of Abaper you can create a Z authorization object with field of WERKS and activity 01,02,03 ie create,change,Display.
The authorization object has to be called during the Save user exit during Sales order Processing. In standard SAP we have the authorization object M_MATE_WRK.
Either u can call tha authorization object in the exit or copy the object znd create your own authorization object.

Creation Vendor/cusotmer master location wise

Hello,
Client requires to create single vendor/customer code and then within that code, location wise data should be maintained
(f or. e.g address, bank details, tax details etc.).
So client have better control over vendor/customer bookings/ payment/ receipt, Better authorization, avoid creating multiple vendor codes.
The same functionality is not available in SAP. In SAP we need to create as many vendor codes as locations.
The solution envisaged is as below:-
Vendor code XXX01 party ABC. Location - Delhi/Mumbai/Chennai.
And at of these location level further details should be maintained ( like address/bank/WHT etc.)
Therefore at primary level the vendor/customer code should based on following parameters
1. Company code
2. Account Group
3. Location.
Can any body guide on the above issue.

Section Wise Authorization for automatic payment (F110)

Hi SAP Gurus,
Our client wants Section Wise authorization on Automatic Payment (F110). That is User A is authorized to make payments for the vendors which have open line items which has section XX. While User B is authorized to make payments for that particular vendors which have open line items which has section YY.
While execution F110 by User A, system will make payment for all those open items which has section XX. But, when User B is executing F110, system will make payment for all those open items which has section YY.
Please guide, how to achieve the results.

While executing F110, you can choose BSEG-SECCO in 'Field Name' field in 'Free Selection' tab and enter particular values for this field in Values field, i.e. XX or YY. That way, you can segregate payments. As far as authorization issue goes, check with your security consultant if particular users can be given authorization for F110 transactions for particular values of BSEG-SECCO field; I am sure this can be done in user authorization profile by the Security Team.

Balance Sheet Location Wise

The company is operating in 3 states, say andhra pradesh, tamilnadu, delhi. There are several branches in each state. Tamilnadu has 2 branches and andhra pradesh has 5 branches. I've defined the locations, and added the branches as warehouses.
My requirement is, I need balance sheet, profit and loss, trial balance for each state separately. Please help me in this by providing suitable solution.

There are two ways of handling this.
Option 1: Use Diemensions. Create a dimenstion called location and have values like AP, TamilNadu, Delhi etc., (Each Location would be a Profit Centre). Now you should insist the user to select this profit centre in Marketing documents, Journal Entry as Mandatory.
Now you can generate TB and P&L reports based on a Profit Centre. But you cannot generate Balance Sheet Profit Centre wise.
Option 2: Use 'Account Segmentation'. Create a Segment called 'Location' and have values like AP, TN, Delhi etc.,(Each Location would be a segment).
Now you can generate Balance Sheet, TB and P&L reports Location wise.
Note here you would have a huge increase in your G/L Accounts and you have to map appropriate GL Accounts for each warehouse. This option might be little complex but really effective.

Go to SPRO > MM > Inventory Management and Physical Inventory > Authorization Management > Authorization Check for Storage Locations > Here activate the authorization for storage location under plant
And use authorization object as "M_MSEG_LGO"

Module wise authorization

I am new in BASIS. I need to know the procedure how to create module wise authorization. Like for an SD consultant user , he have only SD related authorization. Can anybody tell me.

Hi,
You can create role as per your requirement using PFCG transaction.
Go to PFCG
Give role name
Click on create
Go to Auth tab
Click on Change Authorization Data
It will popup for template, do not select any template.
Click on Selection criteria.
Here you can select auth related to SD.
Also you can make copy of standard roles provided by SAP as mentioned earlier.

i have search in pfcg no auth. obj. present for Lab/Office and i have also searched for user exit.
no user-exit found for this activity can anyone tell me how to handle this Authorizations control

Hi,
As such there is no authorization object for controlling lab/office.
If your requirement is such that there needs an authorization check then z-authorization object can be created for this through abapers and can be assigned to particular roles.

Date Wise and Storage Location Wise Stock Qty & Value Report......

We want a report Date Wise(As on 31.03.2008) and Storage Location Wise Quantity & Value Report for only Finish Materials. Is there any report ?
From Mb5b we canot get storage location wise report as we get only plant level qty and value.
Pl. guide us.

Try the Tcode: MC.9 there enter the site and article and executeYou will get details of the article
stock, value. if you double click the article you will get the details of storage location.

As per my understanding it is not possible in a single Table.
If this is required for customized Z report then use this logic it may gives the correct information.
In the combination of MARD and MBEW.. From MBEW you can get the value for each Base Unit of Measure then multiply that value with storage location stock.
It may usefull to u..in the mean time i will try for some other option.

Storage location wise value in Report

Hi all ,
We are working of MM module on which we have scenario in report,
                   Plant     Storage location stock       value   ( 10 rs each quant)
     A      A1                     10             0
             A2                         20                 0
                    A3                      30                 0
Total                                                     60         600
So according to this we are not getting storagelocation wise value....
we applied the note 589024 also ...so we are geeting the storage location wise value but that values are not matching with ECC(mb5b),....
our next scenario is we are comparing previous months closing stock value to present months opening stock value ...but its coming different after applying the note 589024.
Please guide us.
