  • Access permission to the Project server workflow tasks in project server 2013.

    Hi All,
    I am creating an OOB Project server workflow, where it contains few phases and each phases have some stages, there are few approval levels of the workflow.
    Scenario - 1st stage - when project is submitted, a task is assigned to resource, when the resource click on the task link provided in mail, it redirects to the project server workflow task list.
    1) When users view the task list, for all user the delete Item and approve button is enabled even we have given permission as edit,view permission in sharepoint group for that user.
    2) Task list should be viewable by specific user but in my case even after giving the permission it can be apporved by any one who is not authorised also.
    3)  then i tried below things
    1. deleted the user in pwa
    2. deleted the user in sharepoint site.
    even after doing the above, the user able to do all activity in the stie content page, have access to the sharepoint portal. how this is possible?
    When checked with not existing user permission there are few defalut permission set for that user after AD sync. because of this he as access, even if he is not in pwa or in sharepoint site. how to retrict this?
    Can anyone faced the same issue?
    How to fix this permission issue?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Treb Gatte,
    I ma creating Data Connection from SSRS Report, and then creating Data Set for "Project
    Server Workflow Tasks".
    And then when I pull data from the database, it is returning empty. For any other sharepoint list this
    is working absolutely fine. I am facing issue only wrt "Project Server Workflow Tasks" list.
    Thanks,

  • Project link in workflow task in PS 2013

    Hi Folks,
    I just created new WF using SPD and every thing goes fine.
    I just wondering, when approver receives a tasks to take an action how would he/she know what project needs approval, except for the name. Meaning how can the user access details of project  before approving it?
    Following are workflows task and how I can get a link to that particular project for which the task has been generated.
    Thanks, Kashif

    I think that no possible with task text description, imho.
    Maybe you can used own html for preview workitem - on workflow step goto Preview workitem and press Demo func modules. Select SWL0_PREVIEW_DEMO_HTML, for example. Now you can copyied this FM into own Z* and place static URL into FM body.
    If URL must be dynamic - try create URL like SOFM object (FM SO_OBJECT_CREATE) and attach this BO instance to your workitem using SAP_WAPI_ATTACHMENT_ADD. This procedure can be placed in backround step of workflow.

  • Workflow in Project server 2013 online not going particular stage after Approval

    Hi All,
    i have created workflow using sharepoint designer 2013 for project server 2013 online. and i have also set the approver after the first stage. when i create a project using this workflow, project is created successfully and the approval task also go for
    a approval to specific user. and i have set the property that after approval it has to go on specific stage. but the problem is when user approve the task it shows approved but my stage in workflow is remain same. it is not going to any stage.
    i don't know why this type of problem is occur.
    FYI, i have created same workflow for Project server 2013 on premise(Which is installed in my server) and
    it is working fine but when i want to deploy this workflow in
    project server 2013 online its giving error.
    so please help me to solve this type of issue.
    Thanks

    I am also experiencing issues with this.  After the approval task is completed, the Workflow gets cancelled with the following message
    RequestorId: 60d96368-4cb4-b059-8086-604972a92e60. Details: System.Collections.Generic.KeyNotFoundException: The given key was not present in the dictionary. at Microsoft.Activities.Hosting.Runtime.Subroutine.SubroutineChild.Execute(CodeActivityContext context)
    at System.Activities.CodeActivity.InternalExecute(ActivityInstance instance, ActivityExecutor executor, BookmarkManager bookmarkManager) at System.Activities.Runtime.ActivityExecutor.ExecuteActivityWorkItem.ExecuteBody(ActivityExecutor executor, BookmarkManager
    bookmarkManager, Location resultLocation)
    All other desired workflow actions work as expected.  Emails are sent, project is moved from stage to stage, however as soon as the workflow approval task is completed, either Approved or Rejected, the Internal Status is changed to Canceled and the
    workflow fails.
    What is interesting is when the Approval task is completed, the approver will receive an email notification that the task was CANCELLED or DELETED....
    not COMPLETED, which is what would be expected.
    Has anyone seen this - any potential resolution?

    Hi Amit,
    According to your description, my understanding is that you want to approve workflow task using web service in SharePoint 2013.
    For troubleshooting this issue, please provide the more detailed code.

  • Unable to update BPEL workflow task using pl/sql procedure

    All,
    I am on a project which involves APEX/BPEL integration. There is a need to update a workflow task created using pl/sql block of code.
    This uses the out of the box TaskQueryService webservice calls and I am getting the below exception.

    As an alternative I tried to call the procedure from a Java client and it throws the same exceptions (the workflow context is gotten from the Java API call
    workflowContext = taskQueryService.authenticate(WF_MANANAGER_UN, WF_MANANAGER_PW, null, worklistUser);),
    however updating the Task from Java using the ora.bpel library API's works perfectly fine.
    But the client's requirement is to update taskoutcome from pl/sql.

  • MSS Approval Report Links to Busines Workflow Task in UWL

    Hello All,
    I have a scenario below that I'm hoping you can help.
    I copied the standard business workflow task "TS31000007: CATS Approval by Supervisor" to create our own task (general task) and link the 'CatManagerApprove' application and 'sap.com/msscatapproval' package to this task in the Workflow Visualization Configuration.
    We then assigned this new task to the time data entry profile for the portal.  Once, employee released the working time, the task is created and send to the Universal Worklist.
    The manager can then access the UWL and open this approve time workflow task. This task is open to the MSS Approval Report (similar to what appear under the MSS > Tasks > Approve Time by Manager).
    However, I have copied the Approve Time by Manager to our own and changed some of the  order of the column and header text and assigned to the MSS role.
    I would like to have this CATS approval task open to the same approval report view/layout as in the MSS Approval Report.
    I've tried to change the layout (column order) through portal contents of the standard MSS Approval Report because I thought it was reading from there, but it's not.
    Does anyone know how this can be done or where to point to the MSS Approval Report on the portal.
    Any help would be appreciated!

    Hi Karri,
    We were able to use the launch iview task to launch our specific iview but I cannot seem to get it to recognize the workitem. In other words, when I click on the task in the UWL, my approve working time iview appears but it does not have the data that is from the workflow task item. Attached is the XML code that I used:
    <ItemType name="uwl.task.webflow.TS93000001.SAP_ECC_Financials" connector="WebFlowConnector" defaultView="DefaultView" defaultAction="launchIView" executionMode="default">
          <ItemTypeCriteria systemId="SAP_ECC_Financials" externalType="TS93000001" connector="WebFlowConnector"/>
          <Actions>
            <Action name="launchIView" groupAction="" handler="IViewLauncher" returnToDetailViewAllowed="yes" launchInNewWindow="yes" launchNewWindowFeatures="resizable=yes,scrollbars=yes,status=yes,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,directories=no">
              <Properties>
                <Property name="newWindowFeatures" value="resizable=yes,scrollbars=yes,status=yes,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,directories=no"/>
                <Property name="page" value="pcd:portal_content/net.saccounty.SacCounty/net.saccounty.approve_ts_data"/>
                <Property name="openInNewWindow" value="yes"/>
                <Property name="display_order_priority" value="5"/>
                <Property name="workitemId" value="${item.externalId}"/>
              </Properties>
              <Descriptions default=""/>
            </Action>
          </Actions>
        </ItemType>
    I thought the line <Property name="workitemId" value="${item.externalId}"/> would pick up the work item ID, but it is not working. Any suggestions?
    TS93000001 is our task. approve_ts_data is our iview. It opens in a new window correctly and goes to the correct iview, just is not the actual task data.
    Thank you,
    Mark.

  • Workflow task in UWL

    Hi there,
    I am trying to configure a workflow task so that it can be launched from the UWL as an ABAP Web Dynpro. I have enhanced the service notification business object BUS2080 so that a workflow is triggered on status change. Administrators are notified of this change
    The work item is sent to several administrators, and is appearing in the UWL correctly. I have configured the table SWFVISU for the task as an ABAP web dynpro with parameters:
    APPLICATION QIMT_NOTIFICATION_APP
    NAMESPACE SAP
    in order to launch the standard notification web dynpro from the work item. However, even after clearing the cache and re-registering the items list in the portal the XML is not being generated. The examples I have seen use the Decision step type to launch ABAP dynpro, however the task I am using is Activity step type. Is this the problem ?

          <Actions>
            <Action name="launchWebDynPro" groupAction="" handler="SAPWebDynproABAPLauncher" returnToDetailViewAllowed="yes" launchInNewWindow="yes" launchNewWindowFeatures="resizable=yes,scrollbars=yes,status=yes,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,directories=no">
              <Properties>
                <Property name="WebDynproApplication" value="zwda_hr_emp_wiwt_movmnt_revert "/>
                <Property name="newWindowFeatures" value="resizable=yes,scrollbars=yes,status=yes,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,directories=no"/>
                <Property name="DynamicParameter" value="WI_ID=${item.externalId}"/>
                <Property name="openInNewWindow" value="yes"/>
                <Property name="WebDynproNamespace" value="sap"/>
                <Property name="System" value="SAP_ECC"/>
                <Property name="display_order_priority" value="5"/>
              </Properties>
              <Descriptions default=""/>
            </Action>
          </Actions>
    In the Actions, for propertyhandler mention the value as  SAPWebDynproABAPLauncher instead of UserDecisionHandler and in the back ground make sure that you complete the workitem by using SAP_WAPI_WORKITEM_COMPLETE in case of simple activity step.

  • Workflow v project

    Hi everebody!
    1. Thanks to Doug Winnie and the WorkflowLab team for this new application.
    2. I found very interesting the workflow approach very interesting. Nut it's not sufficient for day-to-day use. The project management approach is missing.
    3. Proposals for WorkflowLab improvement
    - Project definion as a workflow instance (workflow == class, project == object)
    - Human ressources management (User, groups, teams, contributors, externals, ...)
    - GANTT schema integration
    - Non Adobe products and technologies integration
    - Group of task (linked or not with a team)
    - Timeline
    - Link Adobe and non Adobe software and technologies (thanks to AIR 2.o new features and Switchboard technologies) : CS4, Story, Acrobat.com
    - Type of project (Movie, Web site, software, etc.)
    - Agile methodologies integration (Acrobat Connect, Poker Game, Backlogs, User stories, etc.) for web/software development project
    - Data export (PDF, csv, xml, etc)
    - Dashboard
    - REST API
    - BPEM (Business Process Engineering and Management) concepts and BPMN (Business Process Modeling Notation) integration

    Hope t may help
    Have a good day!

    Hi there...
    Thanks for all of these great ideas -- We are working on ideas for upcoming features and will bring these to the team for us to review and possibly put into a future version. I can tell you that we will be supporting non-Adobe applications in the next version, so stay tuned...

  • Workflow tasks in derived roles

    Hello,
    I am involved in a EHS Product Compliance project that uses workflow.
    In PFCG I assign a standard workflow task to a role under the workflow tab.  If I go to tcode PFTC, type in the workflow task number then navigate to: Additional Data->Agent assignment->Display, the user account assigned to the role is listed and clicking the Overall View button I see the role assignment.
    The problem is when I derive the role.  In this case the tasks show up under the workflow tab, but the derived role is not listed under PFCT and this role does not allow my end user to process workflows.
    Are there any known limitations using workflows in derived roles?

    Hello Savitha,
    What you proposed will work, but that defeats the who purpose of deriving roles.  I want to add the workflow tasks to the base role and then have my 30 derived roles updated automatically.

  • IMovie Workflow Tasks for Automator

    Are there any iMovie workflow tasks available from Automator? When I bring up Automator, iMovie does not appear in the list of applications, although other iLife applications DO, such as iTunes, iPhoto, and iDVD.
    What I would like to do is create a workflow that will take an iMovie project, and then simply export it in the three formats I use most often. When I do a video project, I will export it to a DVD, export it to iWeb, and export it as an iPod movie.
    Has anyone done this? Or do I need to rely on AppleScript?

    Bad news, I'm afraid.
    Unfortunately iMovie (or at least iMovie HD, don't know about iMovie 6) is not AppleScriptable. That's (more or less) why there aren't any Automator actions for it.
    It might be possible to use "UI Scripting" (sending AppleScript commands to iMovie's menu items and buttons) but it's not guaranteed to work and you'd need to know a fair bit about AppleScript to have much hope.
    Sorry not to be able to help more.

  • Univeral Worklis - XML Content Configuration for workflow tasks

    I work in an HR and SAP Portal project in Stockholm, Sweden. We have now activated the course booking functionality in the "Training and Event" module. The basic functionality is that course bookings etc. should be approved by managers using workflows. Therefore must be the Universal worklist be configured. I have also read the guide "How To…Configure the Univeral Worklist" but I still need some guidance on how to do that.
    These workflows are used in the process:
    ·     WS01200147 (Employee Attendance Cancellation)
    ·     WS01200151 (Approve Employee's Attendance Booking)
    ·     WS01200160 (Approve Employee's Rebooking)
    I should appreciate if you could help me to create a correct XML-file to include above workflows/tasks in the universal worklist.
    Best regards,
    Jan Wodlin

    The have used the following documentation to configure my UWL.

  • Workflow task list is missing or damaged. SharePoint 2010

    SharePOint 2010 Enterprise
    Customer created workflows for the annual review of our QPC Emergency Plan.
    The document library  shows that there is a EP_Review workflow “In Progress” for each section.   However if you click into the “In Progress” link to see the actual progress of the workflow it shows no Visio diagram, it’s just a blank white
    space (not even an error message) and under the Tasks section it gives the message:
      "The workflow task list is missing or damaged.  Please contact your administrator for more information"
    I looked in the Task List and there are no tasks showing, which normally does show when we kick off a workflow.
    I ran a report on the EP_Review workflow for Cancellations and Error messages and the system comes back with the following error message:  "Report contains no Data"

    Hi mikeatquestar,
    it seems you may need to check if should the task able to create at your environement,
    you may try this at your development environment first:
    Saved a task list as a template from a working site collection and moved the template to the problem site collection. Used this template to create a new list, and associated this list to the Workflows task list.

  • Workflow Tasks NOT expiring!

    Hi guys,
    I've bumped lately with an issue building a workflow on SP2010, as you mostly already have figured out from the title, workflow tasks are NOT expiring.
    I've tried to take this on my own, but no more as I have to move on. Here's the details;
    -a custom workflow (attached to a custom list) that has start custom task as its first action.
    -due date for custom task is set in "select task process participants", Due Date for Task Process. and is set to run parallel (I have one participant for the task).
    -the custom task have only the "behavior of a single task" configured, all task workflow steps are there.
    When a Task is Pending fires well, and it ends with Pause for 2 minutes > then send email. then task due date reaches but
    When a Task Expires never kicks! tasks simply stays at status "Not Started"
    when I check the workflow history, it shows the last log "pausing completed", but I suspect the main issue is with the task processor, task isn't expiring and im not sure where to look.
    timer job service is working, I've checked timer jobs (workflow auto cleanup, workflow failover and bulk workflow task processing) and they're all running in timely fashion now.
    any thoughts?
    thanks

  • How to reassign a workflow task in SharePoint 2013?

    How can you reassign a workflow task in SharePoint 2013 (online)? I found some discussions online about how to do this, but I don't see this option using SP2013. Note the "Reassignment" checkbox from this screenshot (which I think is from 2010).
