Locations of the Various Libraries?
I just got a LaCie Rugged hard drive, and as my first order of business, I'd like to move the libraries from the Final Cut Studio onto it. The problem is that I don't know where to find these libraries.
I'm searching the internet and this forum right now too see what I can find, but I figured I should ask first. Any help would be great!
Oh and it FCS 7

How do I rename the iphoto library on one computer before importing it to another location with other iphoto libraries?
How do I rename the iphoto library on one computer before importing it to another location with other iphoto libraries?
Quit iPhoto.
Select the Library in the Finder, click the name, and edit the name like for any file. -
Hi, my 2 kids who have an account each on my iMac have simultaneously lost their iPhoto apps and libraries. Can't find it anywhere. My iPhoto and library still remains. Any suggestions?
Are you sure that's what happened?
Typically, there is one iphoto on your computer and each account uses that, so there's no iPhoto for each account. So if you have they should too. Where is it missing from?
The disappearing libraries: did they rename their accounts by any chance?

Help! I 'm using an old G4 powerbook, Mac OSX 10.5.8, iTunes ver 10. I have multiple iTunes libraries on an external drive. Everything was fine for a while, then all of the iTunes library files, i.e. iTunes Library.itl, xml, itdb, artwork folder, Media folder, etc mysteriously disappeared! Only the music files remain (thank god) So now when I start iTunes w/option key to choose a library, I can't choose any of them because iTunes won't recognize them. Because all the library stuff is missing. So can I re-create the library files? (I don't care if I lose my ratings)
Or should I create a new empty library on the external drive, then manually move all the music files to the Media folder in the new library?
I tried some stupid ideas like creating a new library just to start iTunes, then going into prefs and advanced, then under iTunes Media folder location, selecting the location of the old library on the external, to see if iTunes would then find all the music which is still there, but no workee.
I'm out of ideas, and I searched the archives.
Help! anyone?
ScottI don't know if this is me adding files to iTunes when the external wasn't connected
it is.
is it OK to just keep deleting that library on the Air?
i wouldn't - at least not until i
mount the external
point iTunes media folder location back to the external via preferences > advanced
consolidate my library via file > library > organize library
The ntfs hasn't seem to be causing any problems, but I've always wanted to know.
in order for your Mac to write to NTFS drives, it needs some help by installing e.g. the NTFS 3G driver. apparently that or something similar is installed on your Mac already. preferably, it would be formatted for Mac but then windows machines would need to have e.g. MacDrive installed to recognize the drive. -
I misplaced my iPhone and used Find My iPhone to locate it. The map showed my home and the apparent location of the iPhone which was five miles south of my home in a heavily wooded area. It turns out that was an incorrect location as I eventually found my iPhone in my office three miles in the other direction. Can anyone provide m with an explanation for the discrepancy and inaccuracy?

I set my iPhoto to save photos to a non-default location. Now I can't find my iPhoto albums in iTunes, even when looking in my non-default location in the "Sync Photos from" menu. How do I fix this?
When you launch iPhoto with the option key depressed you'll get this window:
All libraries on your hard drive (and on external drives) will be listed and the currently used library will be listed as (default).

Dealing with changing service wsdl locations in the ESB
Hi,
I wonder how you can easily change the WSDL locations for the webservices in the SOAP services of your ESB project. I need this to be able to easily deploy an ESB project on the different OTAP environments.
I have looked for a solution myself, but till now I must conclude that you need to make a new SOAP service each time the WSDL location changes. Also, you need to make a new xslt mapping file in the routing service that is proxying the SOAP service, because the mapping file also contains/needs WSDL location information. I omit the option to manually edit the source files in my favourite text editior, because this is not want you want by default.
BPEL contains a wsdlRuntimeLocation parameter for its PartnerLink definitions, which you can use to change wsdl locations during environment change. I hope the ESB also has a comparable option to make environment changes easy...

What's the meaning of the various .bin files used by SAM?
hey everyone,
I'm trying to understand why exactly there are so many .bin files used by the SAM, and how to compile each one of them.
My .rc file for the simulation contains:
load bin reset.bin 0xfff0000000
load bin q.bin 0xfff0010000
load bin openboot.bin 0xfff0080000
load bin nvram1 0x1f11000000
load bin 1c1t-md.bin 0x100000
load bin 1c1t-hv.bin 0x180000
load bin disk1.img 0x1f40000000
I don't understand why I have 3 different files - reset.bin, q.bin and openboot.bin when I would have expected only one bootfile.
I also don't know what's the meaning of the 1c1t-md.bin file (what md stands for).
If anyone could clear this subject for me, and also point me to the sources of each such file (if they exist in the project, and assume they do, at least for most of them), I'd be grateful.
Thanks,
Mintz YuvalHi,
Sorry I haven't replied sooner.
I get your project now and it sounds pretty cool.
Let me answer your last question first. The service processor resides a separate motherboard running independently of the N2 processor. The SP and N2 processor communicate via a I2C link which allows the SP to read and alter the state of the N2. The cpu, caches, NIU, memory, etc. are all connected by this link. Once the N2 is running, the SP and the N2 firmware may exchange messages via a mailbox protocol over the I2C.
nvram1.bin is a configuration file that is OBP specific. On HW, it would be a little ROM that obp reads during the boot. Since it's in memory, SAM doesn't make any assumptions about it. You can remove it or rework it to suit u-boot.
disk.img is the contents of a virtual disk which contains the root filesystem. This is essentially a ram disk which has been added to SAM's version of the hypervisor and/or obp. On HW, the firmware does not support this kind of virtual ram disk. For SAM, I'm pretty sure that obp is extended to create a device tree node for the virtual disk. Hypervisor may not know about the virtual disk.
Since disk.img is a UFS (or other Solaris-oriented) filesystem, you will probably want to replace it with a ext3 or Linux-oriented filesystem. Since Linux has direct kernel support for ramdisk, you might be able to build/configure the kernel with the location of the root filesystem image in memory. Or this might be a u-boot option.
As to 1c1t*.bin and reset.bin. On HW, the service processor is responsible for discovering all the devices and cpus on a system and writing the machine description file (e.g. 1c1t*.bin) and the reset firmware (e.g. reset.bin). These files are used during boot and various resets to initialize or reinitialize machines state for the cpus and all the i/o devices. Since SAM doesn't include a service processor, these files are static and created completely outside of SAM. The md*.bin files contents must match the configuration of cpu's in the sam.rc file -- firmware will fail if it tries to run code on a strand that is missing.
The md and reset.bin files are used during the boot process to set-up CMT registers and do a little bit of i/o device initialization. SAM doesn't support reset modes such as warm reset.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you need me to track down more details.
Cheers,
Stephen -
HOW to include the needed libraries to be copied into the self-cotained app
I'm using: Netbeans 7.2, JavaFX 2.2, JDK 7u7. First, I believe the instructions posted at http://docs.oracle.com/javafx/2/deployment/self-contained-packaging.htm#A1349508 are off (when dealing with NetBeans, at least), as the resulting bundle copies the dependent libraries (3rd party) to the root where the main .jar file is placed, but the MANIFEST gets JavaFX-Class-Path with the lib/ prefix.
This is what I have added to build.xml in the project's folder:
<target name="-post-jfx-deploy">
<fx:deploy verbose="true" nativeBundles="image" outdir="${basedir}/${dist.dir}" outfile="${application.title}">
<fx:application name="${application.title}" mainClass="${javafx.main.class}"/>
<fx:resources>
<fx:fileset dir="${basedir}/${dist.dir}" includes="*.jar"/>
<fx:fileset dir="${basedir}/${dist.dir}/lib" includes="*.jar"/>
</fx:resources>
<fx:info title="${application.title}" vendor="${application.vendor}"/>
</fx:deploy>
</target>This is the tree structure of the dist folder after Clean and Build Project has been triggered by NetBeans:
│ JFXA.html
│ JFXA.jar
│ JFXA.jnlp
│
├───lib
│ log4j-1.2.16.jar
│
└───web-files
dtjava.js
error.png
get_java.png
get_javafx.png
javafx-chrome.png
javafx-loading-100x100.gif
javafx-loading-25x25.gif
upgrade_java.png
upgrade_javafx.pngAnd this is the structure of the created bundle (conents of the JRE runtime omitted):
└───JFXA
│ JFXA.exe
│ JFXA.ico
│
├───app
│ JFXA.jar
│ log4j-1.2.16.jar
│ package.cfg
│
└───runtime
└───jreProblem is, when I run the application (the *.exe* inside the bundle) it tries to run the main *.jar*, but fails due to the inability to locate compile-time libraries. Apparently, this behavior is due to the MANIFEST of the *.jar* being linked to the folder named lib (defaults), but the build script copies the libraries to the output dir where the actual *.jar* resides (dist). How can I fix this? Thanks.
I think I have ran into the same problem as here: javafxpacker - include libs
Edit*:
Upon .jar extraction and further inspection of the MANIFEST file, I see this:
JavaFX-Class-Path: lib/log4j-1.2.16.jar
Currently, as mentioned above, the libraries end up in the root folder where the main .jar resides, due to:
*<fx:fileset dir="${basedir}/${dist.dir}/lib" includes="*.jar"/>*
So, my question is, what do I need to change in order to get the dependent libraries to be copied into the correct path (with lib prefix), when building a bundle? The *<fx:fileset>* does not seem to support anu attribute that would specify the output path structure..Use
<fx:resources>
<fx:fileset dir="${basedir}/${dist.dir}" includes="*.jar"/>
<fx:fileset dir="${basedir}/${dist.dir}" includes="lib/*.jar"/>
</fx:resources>or simply
<fx:fileset dir="${basedir}/${dist.dir}" includes="**/*.jar"/>Filed http://javafx-jira.kenai.com/browse/RT-24757 to update the docs.

How can one set a default location for the pictures on the hard drive?
Since Windows normally places the pictures on a typical drive as "My Pictures" about four or five levels down from the root, any effort to import picture files into Lightroom requires multiple clicks to drill down to the "My Pictures" then (for example) year, month, date, etc.
Can I define a location as the default starting point to find the pictures? I don't see how to put that into presets. Or can a key shortcut be created to go straight to c:/users/name/mypictures/2013/April15 etc?
Steve Boarddj is right. Any Folder can be a picture folder.
Create a root level folder and add it to your Pictures Library in Windows. It will show up with all the scattered pictures from other programs. It can even be a different dirve if you like. You can even specify one to be the default save location for pictures in this dialog.
Navigate to Pictures in your Libraries in Windows Explorer Right Click and select Properties.

What are the various system variabels in ABAP
What are the various system variabels in ABAP?
u can view all the system variables in SYST TABLE Also ...............
ABAP System Fields
ABAP system fields are always available in ABAP programs. The runtime system fills them according to context. They can then be used in programs to query the system status. System fields are variables but you should always treat them as though they were constants, and only read them. If you change their values, important information for the flow of the program may be lost. In exceptional circumstances, system fields may be overwritten in an ABAP program to control the system for example, SY-LSIND (for navigating to a detail list).
With one exception the names and data types of the system fields are stored in the ABAP Dictionary in the SYST structure and realized as components of the predefined structure SY in ABAP programs.
The system field SY-REPID is not part of SYST or SY. Instead, every program contains the predefined constants SY-REPID and SYST-REPID, which both contain the name of the corresponding program. Furthermore, there are two predefined types of the same name, SY-REPID and SYST-REPID.
All system fields are addressed using SY field name and their types using SYST field name.
Alphabetical Overview
The following table lists the definitions of the structure SYST in the ABAP Dictionary alphabetically. The character in the first column indicates how you can use the corresponding system field in ABAP programs. Name is the name of the component, Type is the Dictionary data type, and Length is the field length defined in the Dictionary. The Use column shows in which environment the system fields are set. The Description indicates the content.

Logon name of user, for example KELLERH, BC400-01.
Date and Time Information
The following system fields are always set automatically. If necessary, the GET TIME statement synchronizes the application server time with that of the database server and writes it to the system field SY-UZEIT. SY-DATUM and the system fields for the local time zone, that is SY-TIMLO, SY-DATLO, and SY-ZONLO are also reset.
SY-DATLO
Local date of user, for example 19981129, 19990628.

Information on the Current ABAP Program
SY-CALLD
SY-CALLD contains SPACE if the program is the first and only program in a call chain. SY_CALLD contains 'X' if the program is a called program in a call chain (see ABAP Calls Overview).
· SY-CALLD is set to X in a program called using CALL TRANSACTION, CALL DIALOG, or SUBMIT AND RETURN.
· SY-CALLD is set to SPACE in a program called using LEAVE TO TRANSACTION, entering a transaction code on a screen, and processing batch input folders.
· With SUBMIT (without RETURN) SY-CALLD retains the previous value.
SY-CPROG
In externally called procedures, the name of the calling program, otherwise the name of the current program. If an externally called procedure calls another external procedure, SY-CPROG keeps the name of the first main program and is not given the name of the main program of the further caller.
SY-DBNAM
With executable programs this is the linked logical database.
SY-DYNGR
Screen group of current screen. You can assign several screens to a common screen group. You can use this, for example, to modify all of the screens in the group in a uniform way.
SY-DYNNR
Number of current screen During the selection screen processing, SY-DYNNR contains the screen number of the current selection screen. During list processing, SY-DYNNR contains the number of the container screen. While a subscreen is being processed, SY-DYNNR contains its screen number. This also applies to tabstrips.
SY-LDBPG
With executable programs, the database program of the linked logical database.
SY-REPID
Name of current ABAP program. With externally called procedures this is the name of the procedures main program.
If SY-REPID was transferred to an external procedure as an actual parameter before Release 6.10, the formal parameter was not given the name of the caller, but the name of the procedures main program. SY-REID had to be transferred to an auxiliary variable before the call or you had to use SY-PROG.
As of Release 6.10, SY-REPID is a separate constant that is no longer part of the structure SYST or SY. It can be transferred to external procedures directly.
SY-TCODE
Name of current transaction code.
Background Processing
SY-BATCH
SY-BATCH is set to X in an ABAP program running in the background. Otherwise it is empty.
Batch Input
SY-BINPT
SY-BINPT is set to X during processing of batch input folders and in ABAP programs called with CALL TRANSACTION USING. Otherwise it is empty.
· OPTIONS FROM in the CALL TRANSACTION USING statement can set SY-BINPT to empty for the whole program execution, as well as at the end of the BDC data.
· In CATT procedures, SY-BINPT is always empty.
ABAP Programming
Constants
SY-ABCDE
Contains the Alphabet. Can be used to access individual letters independently of the codepage by specifying offset.
SY-ULINE
Contains a horizontal line with length 255. Can be used when creating the list.
SY-VLINE
Contains a vertical line (|). Can be used when creating the list
Loops
SY-INDEX
SY-INDEX contains the number of loop passes in DO and WHILE loops, including the current loop pass.
Character Strings
SY-FDPOS
Found location for operations with character-type fields.
· If the operators CO, CN, CA, NA, CS, NS, CP, NP are used in comparisons, SY-FDPOS is assigned offset values depending on the comparison result.
· SEARCH FOR sets SY-FDPOS to the offset of the found search string.
Internal Tables
SY-TABIX
Current line in an internal table. With the following statements SY-TABIX is set for index tables. With hashed tables, SY-TABIX is not filled or it is set to 0.
· APPEND sets SY-TABIX to the index of the last table row, that is the total number of entries in the target table.
· COLLECT sets SY-TABIX to the index of the existing or appended table row. With hashed tables, SY-TABIX is set to 0.
· LOOP AT sets SY-TABIX to the index of the current table row at the beginning of every loop pass. After leaving a loop, SY-TABIX is set to the value it had before entering the loop. With hashed tables, SY-TABIX is set to 0.
· READ TABLE sets SY-TABIX to the index of the table row read. If no row is found with binary search while reading, SY-TABIX contains the index of the next-highest row or the total number of rows +1. If no row is found with linear search while reading, SY-TABIX is undefined.
· SEARCH 0). Each time an interactive list event occurs, the system automatically increases SY-LSIND by 1. SY-LSIND can be changed in the ABAP program to navigate between detail lists. Changes to SY-LSIND are not taken into account until the end of the list event. Therefore, any manipulation of SY-LISND should be done using the last command of the processing block.
SY-LSTAT
ID for list levels within the program. SY-LSTAT can be filled with values during list creation in the ABAP program. The value valid when the list is completed is saved with the list. In the case of an interactive list event, SY-LSTAT is set to the value it was assigned during the creation of the list from which the event takes place. SY-LSTAT is no longer maintained and should therefore no longer be used.
SY-STACO
Number of the first displayed column of the list from which the event was triggered. Counting starts at 1.
SY-STARO
Number of the upper-most displayed row of the upper-most page of the list, from which the event was triggered. Counting begins at 1. This does not include the page header.
Printing Lists
When printing lists, the spool and runtime systems require certain internal information, which is available in the following system fields and is set during print activation.
SY-CALLR
Contains a value that displays where printing was started, for example NEW-PAGE for program-controlled printing or RSDBRUNT for printing from the selection screen.
SY-PRDSN
Contains the name of the spool file during printing.
SY-SPONO
Contains the name of the spool number during printing.
SY-MAROW, SY-MACOL
The SET MARGIN statement fills the system fields SY-MAROW and SY-MACOL, which determine the number of lines on the upper margin and the number of columns on the left margin when printing.
Print Parameters
The print parameters are transferred to the spool system by the runtime system in a structure of dictionary type PRI_PARAMS. Before this structure was used, its purpose was served by system fields. Today a subset of the PRI_PARAMS structure is still written to system fields with the same names when printing is activated. This information is redundant and should not be used.
Messages
If you execute the MESSAGE statement, the following system fields are set. If you execute the MESSAGE RAISING statement in function modules and methods, these fields are also set in the calling program, if it handles the exception.
SY-MSGID
SY-MSGID contains the message ID.
SY-MSGNO
SY-MSGNO contains the message number.
SY-MSGTY
SY-MSGTY contains the message type.
SY-MSGV1, ,SY-MSGV4
SY-MSGV1 to SY-MSGV4 contain the field contents that are used for the messages placeholders.
Special Actions that Fill Message Fields
· If you request database locks using the ENQUEUE function module, the field SY-MSGV1 contains the name of the user who holds the lock, in the case of the FOREIGN_LOCK exception.
· IN the case of CALL TRANSACTION or CALL DIALOG with the USING addition, a message displayed during the called screen sequence is returned in the fields SY-MSGID, SY-MSGTY, SY-MSGNO, SY-MSGV1, ... , SY-MSGV4.
· During Remote Function Call (RFC), error messages are transferred from the remote system to the calling system and SY-MSGID, SY-MSGTY, SY-MSGNO,SY-MSGV1, SY-MSGV2, SY-MSGV3, SY-MSGV4 are set. If short dumps or type X messages occur, the system also sets the fields.
Internal System Fields
Internal system fields are only for internal use in the ABAP runtime environment and are defined in the kernel. Under no circumstances must they be overwritten in ABAP programs and they should also not be read (processed).

I currently use PSE 11 & have purchased PSE 13, I use a Dell XPS8300 that is was purchased in 2011 and has a 2TB HD, however, it is 75%full. I have several large catalogs, all located on drive C (My Catalog, Scrapbooking Supplies, Etc), I would like to move these catalogs to another larger external device, along with the tagged jpgs, pngs, and psd files that go with them, while maintaining the ability to access them quickly from my desktop, using PSE. I have briefly considered My Cloud or My Book, but an uncertain if either of these are the correct choice, or if another option would better suit my needs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, TynaIn a similar situation you are right in your option to move your image libraries to external drives. Your choice is to move only the picture files tree or to move also the catalogs. Keeping the catalogs on your C: drive does not require much disk space and speeds up the operations a little.
There are mainly two ways to move your pictures to a new drive:
- Using the 'Folders' panel and dragging the master folder of your pictures tree to the external drives. You keep the catalog in its original default location and the paths of the files in the new drive are automatically updated. Be patient, that may take hours. You can move all your files at once, or choose to move folder by folder (moving a folder also moves its subfolders).
- Or use the backup/restore procedure.
http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/backup-restore-move-catalog-photoshop.html
You specify a master folder on the new external drive for the custom location. That will also move the catalog folder to the new drive, but you can choose to move it back to the default location on your C: drive.
Even if you choose the 'move' solution, do a full backup before for safety.
Keeping the catalogs on the new external drive may slow down the process a little, but the big advantage is that you can access your catalog and library from another computer with Elements. -
Where is the "Photoshop Help Folder" located on the Mac?
Hi all,
I am trying to install Strata 3D tryout and it is asking for the location of the "Additional How To Content" folder, inside the "Photoshop Help Folder". I cannot find the "Photoshop Help Folder"... can someone tell me where it is located?
Thanks a lot in advance for your assistance:)
ChristineIf you are not online and choose help, you'll get a html-based and non-updated version that's being read from your Libraries' Application Support folder.
If you want a help.pdf you can get it here:
http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Photoshop/11.0/photoshop_cs4_help.pdf
But by using the online version you're always up to date with Adobe, as probably is intended hence the help setup.

How to add storage location in the MBBS transaction out put
Hi experts,
I need to add the storage location in the MBBS Transaction report
out put . what will be the procedure. Is there any standard settings or else I have to copy the program. Plz help me.
Thanks&Regards,
Srinivasa rao.VI've been able to store the contents of my camcorder on the Mac's HD. I've tried importing the clips from there and get the same result, whether I try to import one or several clips at once, it replies with the same error message as to the missing storage location/instructions. Interestingly, it will nonetheless import the first (or only) one of the clips that I highlight on the import screen.
When you suggest dragging the files, from where do you mean? The clips per se don't appear in the finder, but only on the import page. The finder show only various fragmented files that aren't complete clips (eg. separate video and index, even sound files), which is too much of a pain to deal with...
It's true that my original iMovie library was created from an upgrade, but I have since deleted the contents and attempted to reload the clips. Are you suggesting deleting the library completely and starting again, or should I just try creating another event and using that? Don't see why that shoudl work better than "updated projects", but perhaps it's worth a try...
Thanks again -
