Lock Button ending calls... WISH IT WOULD CHANGE

So, I know with my iPhone 3G no matter if I was in speaker phone mode or regular mode or using headphones I would be able to hit the lock button during a call and continue with my conversation... call would not be terminated.
I get my iPhone 4 and now a days, before I connect the lock button ends the call, if I am connected in a call and not in speaker mode the lock button ends the call, if I look at the phone wrong it ends the call!
So here is my wish, that the next software update will allow the end user (me!) to be able to hit the lock button and no matter what mode I am in when making or connecting to a call and have it not end said call!

I most definitely know it is a firmware thing... I apologize if I made it sound like it was a iPhone 4 specific feature.
I just wish that the function of the lock button associated with calls was only to decline a call, not to end a call...ever.

IPhone 4 lock button ending calls?

So my iPhone 4's proximity sensor is screwed, and can't go to an apple store until this weekend although it doesn't seem to matter to replace it. Anyways, I try and lock my calls to avoid the issue and it just ends the call now. What gives? I used to lock my 3GS from time to time the same way. Anyway to change its function in the settings or is this a software issue? Thanks for the help.

It seems to only be the problem when you answer it with the handset (versus a bluetooth headset (or turning on the speaker phone)

Calling from has unapplied changes

I am calling form2 from1 and before calling i am checking the form status of form1 and when it is QUERY then only i call the form2.
But after coming on form2 and after making changes when i am trying to save the data a messge is coming 'Calling form has unapplied changes.Save not allowed'.
I am not able to understand when the status of calling form is QUERY then how calling form can have unapplied changes.
Is this a bug of oracle.

There are some problems I and my colleagues have had using call_form, and, so far, we haven't found satisfactory solutions.
Yet, we use open_form(form_name, activate, session). This opens a new form creating a new database session for it, thus having nothing to do with the changes applied or unnapplied in the other form. Yet, unless you issued a commit_form in the calling form before open_form, it is certain you won't be able to see the changes operated by means of the calling form. And, another problem I perceive you might have (although not too likely) is to get stuck on the records locked by the calling form (that would also happen when you have uncommited changes in the calling form).
If you still wish to use call_form, or open_form without the "session" option, and without commiting the changes in the calling form, maybe a "post" before issuing the call might help.

How do I switch on my phone back when my lock button is spoilt?

My lock button isn't working for a few months already. I'm afraid my phone battery would died & I won't be able to switch it on back. Is there a solution for me to switch on my phone back when my lock button is spoilt? Other than changing to a new phone or send it for service.

When your battery dies just connec it to your PC through data cable. It will turn on.
You can also use Accessibility Shortcut once your device is on to lessen the use oh HOME as well as POWER button.
Settings>General>Accessibility>Assistive Touch> Turn it on.
You will have a small app like icon on the screen which can move freely throught the screen.
It helps a lot trust me.

There is no fixing the lock button without voiding the warranty; however,there is a work around. Go to Settings>General>Acessibility>Assistive Touch
Turn that ON, once you have done so, a white square/circular icon will pop up onto your screen. If you click it, click on DEVICE and hit the button that says LOCK screen, your phone will now be locked. Since your lock button is now broken, I would advise for you to ocassionally restart your phone, maybe a few times a month, to prevent it from lagging, you can do this by hitting the White square/circular button>Device, and holding down the Lock screen button a for a few seconds, and powering it off. To turn it back on, simply plug your phone back into the charger. As for the camera not working, I have no idea how to fix that.

How to fix a iPod touch 4th generation lock button?

so I went to apple to see if they could fix my lock button. They said i would have to pay a replacement cost of $99 and i already did to because I cracked the screen a few months ago. So there is no way that i will pay it again, IS THERE ANY OTHER WAY TO GET IT FIXED?

How do you change the lock button so it does not end a call?

My new phone cover doesn't allow my phone screen to go black when on a phone call. When the cover is off it works fine. Is there any way to change the lock button to not end a phone call?

My lock button on the top of my iphone 4s is broken. This seems to be a really common problem that costs a lot to fix.
Is there anyway you could simply make another button (for example your increase volume button) have the same functions as the lock button?
This would make people with broken lock buttons able to turn on/off and lock/unlock their phones again!
Any app that does this or something? Shouldn't it at least be possible? Thank you very much!

i think its the assistive touch bc i got that when my home button broke and my lock button is also broken and now it wont let me slid the unlock button, and i shut it down then turned it back on so it automatically showed the keypad and it would only let me press 3 and thats it. i also read a few other topics about it not unlocking and they all used the assistive touch.

Screen gets funky during call when lock button is pushed and phone rotated

I was on the phone tonight and had some screen issues. Here is what happened.
Received phone call, answered it normally.
Changed to speaker phone
After a bit I hit the lock botton on the top of the phone
Waited a few seconds, hit the lock button again to unlock the phone
Locked the phone, rotated it
Unlocked the phone saw some funky screen layout
Ended the call
Couldn't get the screen back to normal until I rebooted the phone. Pictures of the "funky" screen layout are attached.

HT4528 hard to press lock button. how can i fix it or how much would it be to fix it? i have Iphone4s and its only a year old

My lock button on top of my phone does not work. In order for it to work it needs to be pressed really hard. Phone was not dropped or damaged and just started having this problem. Concerned because cannot afford a new phone so i would like to know how to fix this problem.

we are using CRM 2007 (6.0).
I have to implement the following requirement:
When the user clicks on the button END in Interaction Center the user should come back to the CALL LIST.
Right now the the system always is getting back to IDENTIFY ACCOUNT. This is not very comfortable for the user as he or she has always make a view clicks to come back to the call list in order to call the next account (customer).
I tried to implement the required behaviour using rule policies (Intent Driven Interaction).
I customized the following:
If
Current Event Equals Interaction ended
Then
Navigate To ( Navigation Object type:Action = "IC_BT_IHI:B" )
Now I am pretty sure that the event 'Interaction Ended' is the right one, BUT my action is not correct! The system does not jump back to the call list.
My problem is that I can't find the correct action which gets me back to the CALL LIST!
Or is there another way to implement this requirement?

Call gets disconnected when lock button is pressed.

I use iPhone 6 and upgraded my device to 8.3 today. This happened to me couple of times now, I was in a call without a hands free got a text message , the screen lit up with notification and never got switched off. Now ow when I pressed on a lock button to lock the screen and continue on call , the call got disconnected .
This is very wiered. Any comments on this.?????

Sounds like you have a internal connection problem in the iPod. I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of a local Apple store.

My end call button has suddenly stopped working

I am using an iPhone 4 16GB Factory Unlocked.
My end call button has suddenly stopped working. The icons at the bottom of the screen are also accessed randomly.
i have tried everything recomended.
Updated to the iOS to the latest version 4.3.5. Did a complete reset of the set. rebooted the set several times. But so far nothing seems to work.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

The Basic Troubleshooting Steps are...
Restart... Reset... Restore from Backup... Restore as New...
If you have tried all these and are still having problems, make an appointment at your nearest Apple Store.
