Lock button problem

Hi,
I have got an IPhone 4 and have had it for more than a year. The lock button has suddenly stopped working and so I am forced to use the assited touch funtion. I was wondering if there is anyway of getting it repaired by Apple or getting a new Iphone? I don't have Apple care or insurance with my network but have kept the phone in good condition with protectors and cases. I would appreciate it if someone could help me out and give any advice on what I should do.

I have the same problem with my 16gb ipod touch 2g. If you still have the warrenty on it they will fix it for you. I am going to do that soon to because the warrenty for mine ends in May. They will do it for no charge, but they might have shippingf fees.

iPhones do not have an international warranty. Warranty is valid only for the country of purchase. This is most likely because different countries require different iPhone models. Not reasonable to expect all countries to maintain stock for all models.

Change button setup? (Would fix broken lock button problems!)

Hello there!
My lock button on the top of my iphone 4s is broken. This seems to be a really common problem that costs a lot to fix.
Is there anyway you could simply make another button (for example your increase volume button) have the same functions as the lock button?
This would make people with broken lock buttons able to turn on/off and lock/unlock their phones again!
Any app that does this or something? Shouldn't it at least be possible? Thank you very much!

Power / lock button problem - screenshot

I have iphone 5. For one week i have a problem with power / lock button.I didn't drop the phone. When i pressed the lock button, it captures screenshot. Sometimes problem disaappears for a while unmeaningly. I followed the following precedure to ged rid of this problem.
1- Restart the phone - Problem continues
2- Reset the phone - Problem continues
3- Backup - Problem continues
4- Restore - Problem continues
Could you pls help me?

its not the first time and i cant restart my iphone cause i have problem
with the lock button ..
i start pressing for min and it also has charge 50% and i also put it in charge

If you are having random shut down issue, make sure that your iPhone is up to date with its software. If it continues, take a look at the article below for some additional support if it does not get passed the Apple logo or contacting Apple support.

Lock Button Problems for iPhone 4

I'm having problems with my lock button for my iPhone4 . I need to press real hard to get it to lock or turn off / turn on.
How can I fix it? Or; How much would it cost for apple to repair it?

The iphone has a one year warranty.
Make an appointment at the local genius bar ro call Apple Support. If your iphone is defective, then they will replace it.

Hello , i am new to this country (India) i am from Dubai before coming here i bought myself an iPhone5 and its been around 3 months i am having trouble with my lock button.It wont work on the first tap i have to press it on some angle or sometimes tap many times to make it work.Where can i get my phone fixed and will my warranty work here in this country?

Until you get your Warranty and repair issues sorted, try to protect your Lock Button. Use Assistive Touch when convenient. Settings App > General > Accessibility > Assistive Touch > ON > tap screen white button > Device > Lock Screen. This can even be used to turn iPhone OFF. To turn ON if needed, just connect iPhone to power, charger or USB of computer.

Will an apple store replace an iphone with lock button problems, but has a small dent on the top

There's really no way for any of us here to know one way or the other. You will have to take it to Apple and they will tell you whether they consider it covered under your warranty or not.

Caps lock button problem

I have the early 2001 version of the mackbookpro and what i realized is that the caps lock button is noticeably harder to press that the rest of keys.
I would just like to know if it on my computer alone or are others noticing the same thing.

You're doing pretty well if after 10 years all you have is a stiff caps lock button.
You could always replace the keyboard but that would cost more than it's worth.

Nokia 520 power/lock button problem

Had my 520 for about 10 weeks and it has already been in Nokia Care due to screen problems and now I am having problems with the power/lock key button. Sometimes it will unlock first time or it will take several. This started happening a week ago and it getting worse and a reset did not help so I say it will have to get sent to Nokia Care again.
What I want to know has anyone here had this problem fixed and has it reoccured as I am getting very tired of the unreliability of this Nokia phone and although I liked windows 8 I need a phone that is going to work.

Is this for a Nokia Lumia 520 as well? Did something happen to your phone prior to this issue? How's your Lumia now? Did you already bring it back to the people who assisted you before? If yes, what was the result of their assessment? By the way, did you bring it to the store where you brought the phone, or to the nearby Nokia Care Point?
If you haven't gone back to the assistance, please tell us the phone's current status so we can further look for other possible solutions.

My lock button on my iPhone 4 is stuck. What do I do now?

I was just sitting in the car texting and went to lock my phone, and it was extremely hard to press the lock button. Well I ignored it, got another text, and went to lock my phone again and this time it wouldn't lock. I've never had any lock button problems with this phone, and neither did my mom who owned it first. I didn't drop it or anything. It just seems stuck as if i could pull it out and it would keep working. I don't want to make the problem worse, so now what do I do?

If the physical button will not go down then more than likely there is some foreign debris under it. I might try some compressed air to attempt to free it, otherwise if you don't want to void your warranty it has to goto an apple store.

Now doesnt work, I call premium resellers in Argentina and they said me that the didnt work with apple guarantee

The iPhone has NEVER had an international warranty. Warranty is ONLY valid in the country of purchase. You will need to bring your phone to Panama for service from Apple.

My lock button no longer works on my ipod touch and now i have all kinds of problems with it freezing and kicking me out of apps. Is there any way to get this fixed and were would i go to get it fixed?

I have an ipod touch 4th gen. and since the last update the lock button no longer works, this has caused it to have a lot of problems now like freezing all the time, kicking me out of almost all my apps, some times even when if locks on its own its not locked and buttons with be pushed in my pocket, and this causes the battiery to die fast. I really love my ipod and would like to just get it fix if possible for a reasonable about of money. Zen Style M300 problem lock button

Hi,
I have my new Zen Style M300 with a problem. The lock button is not working. If I move the button to the right position the device is not blocked, so if I touch any other button (an arrow...) it is possible to modify the music, radio or wathever.
Another question is about the "idle shutdown" feature. I think is not working as a sleep feature, I mean, I would like to listen to?the radio at nigth and enable the sleep mode to shutdown the device in 30 minutes (for example). That's something not possible to do with de idle shutdown.
I know a lot of creative mp3 players have this feature, but the M300 device.

Sounds like something's wrong with the power switch, you might want to check with the place of purchase or contact Customer Support. In order for idle shutdown to happen, there must be no activity on the player.
