Lock Code Error

my default lock code was 12345, after few days i decided to change it. that was successful. now i have to reset my phone to the factory's default. I CAN'T. i don't know why. it alerts me "code error". i know my code but it doesn't work. although i cannot change it. i think there is a problem with firmware. i surfed the web too much to solve it. at least i got nothing.
what can i do. is there anyone can help me.

All you can do is visit a nokia care point with proof of purchase and they will reset the code. The procedure may wipe all of your data.

Hello every one......Sorry for posting same topic ....But I tried every thing ...even that
"Press and hold GREEN + RED + CAMERA when powering up. Keep the keys pressed until you get the shaking hands. That should fully reset the device, with a lock code of 12345."
And hard reset worked...but it cant fix my lock code error.....every time when I boot my nokia 5800xm it wants some lock code...Then I put 12345 it gives error "CODE ERROR" skips and menu comes up.....
I have newly updated Nokia 5800xm v20 dont know what to do.......
My 3 friends also got the same problem....I think its a F.W problem....

N82 Lock Code error

Hello
I was wondering if anyone has had trouble with the N82 lock code. I know the original was 12345 and I was using that for a few weeks and yesterday decided to change it. Now despite multiple tries it will not let me in. I appreciate that I may have entered the wrong code when I changed it but surely to enter it twice incorrectly during the change process is unlikely.
I know my best bet is probably to try a nokia care centre but I wanted to see if:
1) anyone else had experienced this and;
2) if there is anything I can try at home before having to pay to have it done by nokia?
I have a second question too. Is there any way to get the contacts name in the message inbox to read first name, second name instead of vice versa?

If you are sure that you entered the correct code,
the issue can be solved by reformatting.
As for getting your contacts name to read first name,
second name. In my N81-3, I can do it as followings:
Contacts>Options>Settings. This might work on your
N82.

Code error always..help needed

Dear friends...im using my nokia e72 for the last 18 months...3 days before i reinstalled phone's FW 081.003.From that day onwards my phone is asking me lock code... And always showing lock code error...
I already used the lock code option for restarting phone.I changed the default 12345 to 543215 and the feature is working smoothly until 3 days before..
Now what happened is that phone is not allowing any of the codes.. I try 543215, 12345, 0000 everything I knew.But in vein...
So guys IM totally screwed.I cannot use my phone anymore..Anybody plz help me. what I can do..???

i went to nokia care and solved the problem..password again changed to 12345..but its not all over there...
When i reached home i reset my phone with *#7870# and then when my phone was on i clicked the phone lock facility... Just for checking...but then onwards the problem starts..
Fon asked me password and i typed 12345...immediatly phone got locked and asked for PUK... I called customer care from another cell and got the code and entered it..nd evrythng got solved and the phon locking featur was turned off...
Now what is happening is that, phone is asking me password at whatever time it wants..fon is asking me password always..when i enter 12345 , it shows pass code error, but then that window got closed and the phone is working as always...after sometime again phone is asking me password which i dont know..
what to do?? What can i do?? Y my fon s behaving lyk dis??

How do I set up a lock code for my Nokia C2-02?

Hi, I have a used Nokia C2-02 phone from a seller on eBay.
I wish to protect my privacy so that other people cannot access my texts, etc.
When I go to 'settings', 'security', and click on 'access codes', in order to set up a lock code, the display says'change security code'.
When I ckick on it, I get a request for my security code.
Twice now I have keyed in'12345', which I take to be the default code.
Each time I get an error message and the second time it said that I have only one more chance to key in the correct code.
Perhaps the previous owner had a code, which I take to be the same as a security keyguard code.
When I go to 'device' in 'settings', it says that the security keyguard is off.
I can switch it on, but to activate it I again need to key in a code.
Am I corect in thinking that either someone has alrerady set up a code or the default code is not '12345'?
Also, What can I do to set up my own code?
Fianally, What if I use a pin code? Will that protect my privacy?
Do I have to get in touch with my network provider ( Tesco Mobile) in order to set it up?
I'd appreciate any help anyone can give,

PIN Code is basically for the SIM card and not the phone. Talking of privacy, your phone will be fully explorable if the SIM card is removed, so PIN scenario is pretty wasteful. Majority of the phones only ask for the PIN code when the phone is started and register the SIM to the network only wen PIN is furnished.
If It does not work I could find that I have locked the phone, which could necessitate sending it to the Nokia Care centre.
This is where the online free service may come in. It claims that it can find the security mastercode for any individual phone, based on the IMEI number, which you access by keying in asterisk, hash, 06, hash, or by taking the back off the phone and looking inside.
Armed with the 10-digit mastercode you key it in and it unlocks the phone.
That, at least, is the claim, but on another mastercode site there's a warning that the mastercode works only for older models.
I have my mastercode, but I don't know whether to take the chance.
Does anyone have any views on this?.

Unfortunately, these type of Master Codes do not work. If ever they worked, the phones would become too easy to break in. As far as I can remember, I have not seen any person with a claim that one of those Master Codes worked for them. Maybe they worked for very very old 1st gen devices from Nokia, but not anymore. The security code is based on what user enters in the settings and there doesn't exist any master code to over-ride that. If it would, Nokia Care should be making use of that instead refurbishing/flashing the phones in every case that called for Keyguard Code.

Applescript 'Contacts' code error with Maverick

After upgrading from MacOSX 10.6.8 to Maverick my applescripts are creating errors. One example is the following script which works fine if you run it from within the 'Applescript Editor.app' (v 2.6.1) under Maverick but creates a "Data paste section" error -1743 from the 'Contacts' app if you run the script indpendently. Any hints anyone on how I might return this script to full indpendent functionality?

Well, after a few days of restoring my cellphone (The C6-01 I mentioned before), I came to this:
- After Hard resetting, the Lock Code is still erroneous;
- After firmware reinstalling, Lock Code is erroneous;
- Pulling out the battery, leaving the cellphone with no power for several hours, give the same result;
- Downgrading firmware (previous version) did not fix the problem;
Interesting thing is, after power on, the cellphone asks for the code lock: entering ANY number, returns "Code Error", and simply goes back to normal operation.
Everything is working, except I can no use de Lock Code, or any function related to it.
Of course, is pretty annoying to enter the lock code every time I power-on the cell.

How can I disable the lock code on my N8

Decided to setup the mail for exchange on my N8 so I could see my work emails. Worked like a charm but after a couple of hours decided I didn't like being that contactable so deleted the mailbox.
Now to the problem, during setup I was forced to enable the phone lock and had to pick a 7 digit alphanumeric code. Fair enough I thought and went ahead. When I removed the mailbox however the lock remained in place with the default auto time of 30 minutes. When I checked in Phone management there is no option to disable this lock so I thought I could at least change the default time to something bigger but when you try, it remains at 30 mins. You also can't disable the auto time as it pops up an error message saying can't unlock phone.
Does anyone know if I'm missing something obvious here or is this something which can't be disabled once it's switched on? I've done a soft reset back to factory settings with no luck and the only other thing I can think of is re installing the firmware which seems a bit extreme.
Would like to hope there is some way to have control over this. Can someone help?

Which firmware your N8 having now? You can check firmware by choosing Call, then type *#0000#.
My N8 works fine on security setting and able to define Phone auto lock period, by choosing Menu>Settings>Phone>Phone management>Security settings>Phone and SIM card>Phone auto lock period>User defined>Lock after(minutes)
You will prompt to enter Lock code each time u define auto lock priod or enable/disable auto lock.

E71 - reset lock code - please help

Hello everyone, i have a problem with my phone, my Nokia E-71. What happen was that i change my lock code back to 12345 and when the phone was lock and i had to put in the lock code to unlock it and i put in 12345 and it said Code Error. So i tried alot of other codes that might work and non of those work. i cannot make a call or anything. all i have on the screen is a blank white screen and i have to put in the Lock Code. is there a way i can reset it without having to send it back to the Nokia Company?.

Lock timeout error trying to create a partition

I'm getting a lock timeout error attempting to partition a large BSEG table. I have done this before successfully on other tables but for some reason this keeps failing with the following error:

Hi,
Try partitoning the BSEG table from SLT using the t-code IUUC_REPL_CONTENT - Maintaining the replication settings.
Select the schema, select BSEG, go to 'Edit settings' and enter the script in the 'Partition Command' of BSED.
eg,: PARTITION BY HASH(GJAHR) PARTITIONS 5
Try replicating now from Data Prov.

E63 Lock Code Problem After Update

I recently checked for a firmware update for my E63. I got excited when i found out that there was an availabla one, the 510 .21 .010 and I immediately started the update process. Everything went ok but when i switched On the phone it asked me for the lock code after 3 or 4 seconds. I tried the default one , 12345 but it showed a code error message. I can't do excatly nothing but the weird thing is that buttons Calendar,Contacts and Mailbox work but i still can't do nothing else.The Home button does not work. It doesn't seem a normal behaviour.Could it be a bug? I read a lot of posts about this problem so this means I'm not the only one having this problem. Please help me. I really need my E63 back as it is my do-everything tool. Maybe a new firmware with this bug fixed would be best.

Made a website based on a template, and as so many people, was afterwards struggling with optimizing my titles, descriptions and keywords for SEO. These were/are locked in the head section of the template. I found lots of useful information on the forum to unlock this section, but apparently I am doing something wrong and I can't figure out what. The code error I get is that there is a syntaxis error in the template comment. Also I do see that the color of the code is maybe not the way it should be.

After that there is a whole bunch of stuff regarding two.Col.Elst.Lt.Hdr and style sheets etc. but there is a closing </head> tag just before my header and side bar section.
Does anybody know what is wrong with my code? I just don't see it ...

Rebooting N* and ask for a lock code??? Need help ...

Hi, I have done a hard reset and everything works great - very responsive phone.
BUT, every time when I reboot the phone the N8 will display a Lock Code screen???
I can enter anything and it will come up with a code error and then the phone works fine.
I am lost....
Can I disable the message?

Its wierd that it works OK after giving code error...If you have not set any code of your own try with 12345 and see if its asking again on re-boot..
Else try a Factory Reset..
Menu >Settings and Phone > Phone management > Factory> Restore...followed by above code when asked..

New Security Code Error after *#7370#

Hi. I recently updated my N8's firmware to Belle and then one day it started getting stuck few seconds after powering up. I reset it using *#7370# code and rebooted the phone. after rebooting it is asking for a New Security Code and then to confirm it but after i confirm it, it give 'Code Error' message and asks for New Security Code again. Badly Stuck. tried all codes i have ever used but the phone is locked. Please HELP

NOKIA N73 CODE ERROR

Hi,
Before I updated my phone to the latest sw: v3.0704.1.0.1, I had engaged the security setting (lock if SIM changed) to prevent SIM swap incase it is stolen.
Now my Lock code can nolonger unlock the settings neither is the default: 12345. Instead the phone will ask for new password and verification but will give this error message: CODE ERROR.
Can anybody help. I can nolonger use this phone with any other SIM

Have you tried uninstalling it and reinstalling the software? Not sure why it would have gone wrong but worth a go. Have you installed anything since?

Lost lock code after firmware update

Hi,
I recently updated my E66 firmware (i don't remember the versions now). The thing went ok, the phone is working... in general ok, except that: When I try to change something that requires the lock code. It don't recognize my old password. Now it showed me some error about 5 tries and it diapered before i could reed it all.
The phone is working, but I'm afraid that if it turns off I will be unable to power it on again.
Does any one know what that message was. And Is there a way I can get arraund to change the lock code, since the phone is working?

P.S. I can't get the phone to a Nokia Care Center because there's none In Uruguay, and even so, this phone isn't available in the region.

On some phones the lock code is reset to the default 12345 when the firmware is updated. This is what must have happened with your phone.
However, since you have entered an incorrect lock code too many times in succession, the only way to unlock that now is for you to send the phone to a Nokia Care Point. There is no other way.
The phone shouldn't ask you for a security code when it starts, only for the PIN protecting your SIM. Some Eseries and Nseries phones, however, have a facility called "remote locking" whereby you can lock the phone by sending it an SMS with a code in it that you can define. If this function is activated then the phone does also ask for the security code when you switch it on.
