I have forgot my lock code on nokia 6600. Is there any way recover lock code? does nokia support for this kind of issues ?

You can't recover it yourself as it is a security feature designed to stop thieves accessing your phone.
A nokia care point can reset the code for you. They will need to see proof of ownership and you may lose all data from the phone.

App for Nokia 6600?

Hi,
does anyone know if Nokia still has apps for 6600 somewhere? I need a call recorder for that phone.

Nokia no longer provides apps for that 2003 model but apps for it can still be found by searching google. That is assuming you are talking about the Nokia 6600, not the 6600 fold or slide from 2008.

Address Book: 10.4.3 broke SMS for Nokia 6600 and Moto Razr

After upgrading to Mac OS X 10.4.3 I could not send SMS
messages or dial when paired to my Nokia 6600, button turns blue.
This feature worked fine with 10.3.3, at least iSync still works...
Also with a new Motorola Razr, I could sync but couldn't
connect with Address Book, the Bluetooth button does not
even turn blue. Needless to say that it is not possible to
send SMS or dial.
My bluetooth software and firmware is up to date and I am
using the Apple built-in Bluetooth interface

Exact same problem here with my Razr V3.
It's disappointing that the phone is featured in a photo on the iSync page, but is not supported in Address Book.
Take a peek at Address Book.app/Contents/Resources/Telephony.Bundle/Contents/Resources/ABDeviceCommand Sets.plist .
So, who knows the proper strings for the Razr V3? I wonder if they can be pulled from BluePhoneElite. .

Trouble running PC Suite for Nokia 6600 - Cannot s...

I have installed Nokia_6600_PCSuite_110_en on my windows xp laptop. When I start the PC suite program it throws error "Cannot start PC suite's Capabilities Manager. Error 0x800706ba". Can anyone help me with it. Thanks in advance.

I would remove it and run the PC Suite cleaner. Then try again. Make sure your AV is off when you do it.

Connecting BToes USB 2 Nokia 6600

MSI Bluetooth software finds my Nokia 6600 after I put in Bluetooth code. Problem my PC NETWORK is called Woozie, this comes up on the phone and askes for password. I dont have a password so how do I confirm connection. Iv'e tried 0000 and other charachters but no joy.

I wondered what the code thing was all about but
the bluetooth software on the PC should ask you for a code
you just type what you want ie:- 1234
The phone should also ask you for a code in which you type the same
ie:- 1234 it should then be accepted. as for connecting it up ive had
other problems like the phone telling me my pc wont accept
the handsfree profile and therefore wont connect although the pc
will send pics like text messages.

Does anybody knows if Nokia 6600 -Symbian 60- accepts Acrobat Reader?. In Adobe website they say it only works on following Nokia's phones:
- Nokia 6680 Smartphone.
- Nokia Communicator 9500 / 9210 / 9500.
Is that true?. In this forum I've read different opinions.

I am using Nokia 6600 and Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 (on Windows XP SP3). The phone is not supported by the latest version of Nokia PC Suite, and PC Suite for Nokia 6600 (version 1.1.0) does not support Outlook 2007. What can I do?

Making programs for nokia phones which have symbian operating system

If your PC application is in java and suitable for the limitations of CLDC / MIDP, I really don't see any barrier -- of course, you may have to sacrifice much of the layout and possibly some of the functionality. Hard to say without knowing exactly what you have in mind.
Simple core java classes require no conversion and can be adopted into your mobile app. MIDlet is the basic application class, roughly (only roughly) corresponding to Applet for larger platforms.
So... I'm assuming that you're already reasonably famililar with the java language and syntax, and have a worked with a code editor and / or IDE. If that is the case, I would suggest you download and install NetBeans (if you don't already have it) and work through some of the mobility tutorials.

The javadocs for jsr-118 (included with NB) will also help. More complete docs and code samples are available in plenty, google java j2me CLDC MIDP sample codes.
For Nokia-specific features, you may want to download the Nokia SDK and integrate it into NetBeans. Series 60 SDK 2.0 for Symbian OS is available at

But I strongly recommend that you focus on device-independent applications, and use device-specific features only where absolutely necessary.
Hey - I'd never used java before (I do have experience in various other programming languages) and I had a centimetre-inch convertor up and running on my Motorola handset just 2 days after installing NetBeans.
You know java, you may do better :-)

How do I set up a lock code for my Nokia C2-02?

Hi, I have a used Nokia C2-02 phone from a seller on eBay.
I wish to protect my privacy so that other people cannot access my texts, etc.
When I go to 'settings', 'security', and click on 'access codes', in order to set up a lock code, the display says'change security code'.
When I ckick on it, I get a request for my security code.
Twice now I have keyed in'12345', which I take to be the default code.
Each time I get an error message and the second time it said that I have only one more chance to key in the correct code.
Perhaps the previous owner had a code, which I take to be the same as a security keyguard code.
When I go to 'device' in 'settings', it says that the security keyguard is off.
I can switch it on, but to activate it I again need to key in a code.
Am I corect in thinking that either someone has alrerady set up a code or the default code is not '12345'?
Also, What can I do to set up my own code?
Fianally, What if I use a pin code? Will that protect my privacy?
Do I have to get in touch with my network provider ( Tesco Mobile) in order to set it up?
I'd appreciate any help anyone can give,

PIN Code is basically for the SIM card and not the phone. Talking of privacy, your phone will be fully explorable if the SIM card is removed, so PIN scenario is pretty wasteful. Majority of the phones only ask for the PIN code when the phone is started and register the SIM to the network only wen PIN is furnished.
If It does not work I could find that I have locked the phone, which could necessitate sending it to the Nokia Care centre.
This is where the online free service may come in. It claims that it can find the security mastercode for any individual phone, based on the IMEI number, which you access by keying in asterisk, hash, 06, hash, or by taking the back off the phone and looking inside.
Armed with the 10-digit mastercode you key it in and it unlocks the phone.
That, at least, is the claim, but on another mastercode site there's a warning that the mastercode works only for older models.
I have my mastercode, but I don't know whether to take the chance.
Does anyone have any views on this?.

Unfortunately, these type of Master Codes do not work. If ever they worked, the phones would become too easy to break in. As far as I can remember, I have not seen any person with a claim that one of those Master Codes worked for them. Maybe they worked for very very old 1st gen devices from Nokia, but not anymore. The security code is based on what user enters in the settings and there doesn't exist any master code to over-ride that. If it would, Nokia Care should be making use of that instead refurbishing/flashing the phones in every case that called for Keyguard Code.
