Lock icon on add comment.

When I publish my iweb pages I allow user comments. But after publishing the pages a small lock icon appears next to the "add comment" link on every page. I'm using MobileMe account and iWeb 08
Anyone know how I can remove the lock so users can add comments to my pages.

Bob ~ The lock icon doesn't prevent people commenting. See this Apple doc for its purpose:

The padlock only shows that there is a secure connection and doesn't guarantee that you are connected to the right server. So you might still be connected to the wrong server if you make a typo in the URL and someone has claimed that mistyped URL. The functionality of the padlock has been replaced by the Site Identity Button on the left end of the location (address) bar.

Adobe X Pro: Not able to add Comments/Attachments via comments only in certain pdfs

Adobe X Pro: I am Not able to add Comments and Attachments in some PDF.
In the PDF i can't add - I can select the comment icon and attachment icon on the pdf,
but it the icon on the pdf is white and no popup's for Attachments or comments entry open.Its like on double clicks, nothing happens
In the Comments Options Menu- i see a lot of values disabled(screenshot below)
But in one another document i am able to add them.In that pdf i can see all e optons enabled.

The form may have security set, or it may have been Reader Extended in such a way that comments are locked out. Check security under File > Properties.

I just upgraded to Firefox 5.0.1 and since the "lock" icon never appears when accessing secure websites, where should I look for it?

The old status bar showed a lock icon when on a secure site - where is that lock icon in vers 4?

The status bar was along the bottom of the window. At the right end of that bar, a lock icon would appear when you are on a secure site, like banking or bill pay. With the status bar now gone, where do I see that lock icon?

How come there is no "Safety Lock" icon when you are accessing your personal bank info?

How come there is no "safety lock" icon picture in the tool bar when your accessing personal banking info. On other browsers, it shows that the Internet line is secure (the Lock icon) is in the address line. There's nothing on using Firefox.

Volumes show Locked Icon and no access priviledges to "custom" permissions

Since I upgraded and then migrated to Leopard I have been having issues with ownerships and priviledges.
Constantly was getting cannot move or trash or change due to lack of priviledges but two days ago 4 of my 8 drives have a locked icon on the volume icon and when I try to access them I get a "you do not have access priviledges to this "FOLDER"" message when I try to open the drive?? There is a lot of reuired info and data on these drives and I need to access them!
When I go to GET INFO and look at the permissions they are all "CUSTOM" and when I try to modify or add myself to the list my name comes up but does not add to the list.
I also see 2 (TWO) "system" and one "everyone" on the list??
Some drives only have one "system" but all show custom as priviledges??
PLEASE HELP!

run the following commands in terminal
sudo chflags nouchg /Volumes/"drive-name"
sudo chmod 775 /Volumes/"drive-name"
put the name of the external instead of "drive-name" in the above. keep the quotes. you'll have to enter your admin password (which you won't see). that's normal. repeat for every affected drive.

What happened to the lock icon when using SSL? Cannot easily determine SSL use without using sniffer.

The SSL lock icon does not appear in new Firefox 4 during use of SSL. Why was it removed? Only method of determining successful SSL use is through the use of a sniffer and netstat. There is no obvious lock anywhere in the browser while using SSL

STS lock icon and authoritzation related

I have a question in STS. Any help will be really helpful.
In STS tool, there are switches available to use that includes status and lock icons . They are tie to the planner user name. Based on authorization given to the planner, he or she should be in position to lock or unlock himself or herself. However this locking or unlocking should not accidentally or intentionally lock or unlock other user.
Thus it is crucial to provide lock or unlock access to the users who are superior to the list of planners. Planner at the object level should be restricted the access to lock or unlock themselves or others.
Current TUNGUSKA BSP code does not have authorization related code implemented . Please see attached screen shot. System program creates a lock data entry directly into UPS_LOCKS irrespective of any authorization check or user . We want to control locking/unlocking to the particular user via authorization concept.

After OS 10.4.6 update, mounting my other Mac - drives have lock icon. Why?

I have a Powerbook and a desktop G5. I share files between them and mount drives (my home directory) on both desktops to easily move files back and forth. Recently after I updated to 10.4.6, when I mount my home directory on either machine (from the other machine), the drive (folder) has a lock icon next to it making it READ only.
What can I do to remove that lock so I can WRITE to my home directory on each Mac? Thanks!

When I do Command-I, I see that I have read/write access for the local drive - depending on the machine I am sitting at - and the other networkeded drives allow read only.
I guess the question is - how does the system know a user with the same username and password are actually the same person?

iCloud is not an application, so it does not appear on the Dock or Applications folder. Instead, you can manage iCloud settings in System Preferences > iCloud.
iCloud only appears as an application in Windows because of iCloud Control Panel

Why can't my recipient add comments in a pdf created in Frame 7.1?

I created a pdf in Frame 7.1. The recipient was using Reader 9 and could not add comments. I had enabled commenting and removed all security in Acrobat Pro 7.1. Did I miss something? Can you comment a pdf that was created in Frame 7.1?

Commenting is a function of Acrobat settings. FM7.x doesn't really matter in this case. I sounds like you've done it properly. Here's a quick link to enabling the Commenting function in Acrobat 7: http://www.adobe.com/designcenter/acrobat/articles/acr7ttrdrcomt/acr7ttrdrcomt.pdf
You might want to ask in the Acrobat Forums if there are known compatibility issues using the older version to enable commenting for the newer Reader.
