Lock inside reload symbol next to battery status

This came up on my iPhone4 last night and I can't figure out what it is or how to turn it off. PLEASE HELP!

You disabled the screen auto-rotation. Double-click the "Home" button to bring the task manager at bottom, slide your finger from left to right to bring the "music controls / auto-rotation" screen and touch the left grey reload button to re-enable auto-rotation.

From main screen of iPhone, the one with icons present. Press Home button two times quickly, then a new bottom row of icons will show, slide them to the right. The Lock Icon will appear on the bottom left. Tap it change the setting.

never mind .... found the answer in another discussion post.. its a setting for locking out the rotation feature. problem solved.

What is causing flashing arrow next to battery status indicator?

I have a flashing white arrow next to the battery status indicator on my ipod touch that is causing music to be unplayable. Everything else appears to be ok. Arrow goes away when doing anything other than music. Any help would be appreciated.

Could be the Location Service icon . Go to SettingsPirvacy and either turn Location services on or off.

What symbol on screen top next to battery that looks like a house or old phone ?
I' can't find the Celular data even thought I did the network reset!

It appears that you have turned on TTY, which is what is used for telephone calls for the deaf. Go into Settings>Phone>TTY>OFF.

My iPod (3rd generation nano I believe) seems to be locked? I can't use the screen anymore and there is a small lock symbols by the battery status. I can however use my Bose docking station clicker to change songs etc but my actual iPod won't work??

My iPod third generation screen seems to be frozen or locked... Not sure how to fix this? I've tried the holding of the menu button and middle button to restart but that doesn't even do anything :(

New Symbol Next To Battery Symbol

I have a 'new' symbol located next to my battery indicator symbol and it is not listed under general - location services .... in other words it does not match up to any of my applications using my location ... which is what I thought at first from another posting & answers ....
Does anyone else have such a symbol? And what is it?
It looks like a old style desk phone .... an arch/handset over two rows of dots ....

Also .... awoke this morning to discover that ALL of my contacts (address book were gone) and I use MobileMe .... had to restore from my time machine .... could this somehow be linked?

Well as mentioned, Settings => Phone => TTY with toggle for ON/OFF right there.
Is only place it is.

drsoif, this is the Portrait Orientaion Lock, which means you locked your phone in a way for it not to have landscaping mode. To correct this you will need to: double tap your home button and swipe to the right, first icon will be the icon with the ''arrow'' going in a circle, tap on it once and the lock will disappear:)

Double-click the Home button and swipe Task Bar to the right. Check the Rotation Lock on the far left of Task Bar.

You mean the Control Center. As was said ...slide up with your thumb from the home button and a gray box should open (i.e. Control Center). There you can turn the orientation lock Off or On. You can also use the Flashlight or turn Bluetooth on or off, and other functions.
