Lock not working on OSX 10.6.7 !

My issue is:
under System Preferences, it doesnt matter what I do, I can not activate the lock for anything !
Any help will be much appreciated !

I have two self-signed certificates that are marked as "not trusted", both created at the same date, but I did not remember doing that !
They are named:
com.apple.kerberos.kdc
System Identity
com.apple.systemdefault
from keychain System, expired am Feb 11, 2011Shall I trust then ? Is that the reason for my lock problem ?

My screensaver is not working in OSX Yosemite on my macbook pro late 2008
Can't solve it by my self..

I had noticed I was having this issue too, and my screensaver never kicking in, and just going to sleep with it never kicking in.
I had gone in and checked to see if any of the settings had got changed or deleted in the system upgrade, but they were all still set at what I had them at prior... so, did as some attempted above also, and adjusted the times for it to kick in, and still nothing. Worked when I would hit 'Preview', but still not kick in at the interval time.
What I just did to get it to work, was just to simply go into System Preferences>Desktop & Screensaver, and just reselected the folder of images that I want to be used, in my case, a folder of images in my iPhoto. And it now works.
Apparently, it wasn't working, because, even though it was still selected to use that folder in iPhoto, something must have changed in the upgrades, which might of had something to to with the iPhoto update too, where it had to update my iPhoto library upon relaunch... and my screensaver settings were set to access that older directed to folder within Library, that was updated in the new release... and so, just repointing it to that folder now in iPhoto, got it to work.
At least, that is my figurin', and I'm stickin' to it!

Settings -> General -> iPad cover lock/unlock -> On
Try toggling this setting on then off. Are you sure the case you have has the magnets that are compatible with this feature. Also with the setting turned on you could try a Reset, hold down the Home and Sleep buttons at the same time for 10 seconds, the iPad will then perform a reset.

First make sure the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet and not a surge protector. If the printer is connected with an ethernet cable to a router then you may be able to do this instead:On the printer hold down the button that looks like a sheet of paper with an arrow on it for about ten seconds. This should print out a report.On your Mac open a browser and enter the printer's IP Address in your Address bar exactly as it appears on the page. Adobe Photoshop 7.0 not working on OSX 10.5

My Photoshop 7.0 is not working on my new Macbook with OSX 10.5. I receive this error message:
"An unexpected and unrecoverable problem has occurred because of a a program error. Photoshop will now exit."
I tried reinstalling it but still get the same error. Is it not compatible with the new OS?

Francine, thank you for answering the very simple question I had about whether or not Photoshop Elements 6 was compatible with 10.5.5. I spent hours on the phone today with Adobe, being transferred around and trying to get a straight answer. I never got one from Adobe. The same thing happened when I called Apple. I realize that Apple is not the manufacturer, but hoped they might have an answer because they sell the software and should know if it works with their current OS. Since the system requirements on Adobe's and Apple's websites still say it only works with systems up to 10.5.2, sales and technical support people just read that back. I can read the same specs too, but I realize that 10.5.5 is new and that it is possible that they just may not have updated the info on the web or in their scripts to reflect this. Apparently, actual users like you and several others are saying it works fine with no issues. It's really nice to know how easy it is to find answers here when you can't get the help or answers you need from the manufacturer. It seems like all they do is read a script, and even supervisors just don't want to be bothered. They should realize that 10.5.5 is the current OS since mid-September, and if they don't provide accurate info then people won't know whether or not to purchase the software. I was hesitant because I didn't want to waste the money to find out if it would or would not work. But now that I see others are using PSE 6 without a problem in 10.5.5, I have the answers I need and I feel more confident about buying the software.

Java 7 not working on OSX 10.8.3

I need some help with Java 7.
I am trying to open my photo lab software, however, it keeps giving me a message saying I need to download the Java Runtime Environment. I clicked on the link and it brought me to the Java site. I sucessfully download the software but it still doesn't work even though Java test show's it's working.
I'm running OS X 10.8.3.
I downloaded the softwared using Firfox don't know if that makes a difference.
I've checked my Java setting and they all seem to be enabled. At this point I have not idea whats going on. I didn't have this problem before and can't figure out what to do.

I had a similar problem running Java with OSX 10.8.3. Even after performing the latest software update (including Safari 6.0.4) in addition to download and installation of the latest version of Java (version 7 update 21), Java did not work. And the “Java icon” was absent from the “system preferences” menu (should be at the bottom under the tab “other”). Very strange! But I found a solution: 1.) Go to “Library > Internet Plug-Ins”; 2.) Move all JavaAppletPlugins to trash (I moved “JavaAppletPlugin (1.7.10.18).plugin” and “JavaAppletPlugin.plugin”); 3.) Download and run the latest Java update; 4.) re-launch Safari.
That solved my problem and I can run Java applications in Safari. Again......

New I pad cover lock not working

I bought the new I pad with Targus leather cover. Till yesterday I didn't notice I pad cover lock feature.but my friend tried I pad cover lock option in settings.my I pad was able to lock without smart cover till today. Suddenly it's not working anymore.i have set the cover lock option in settings on.what happened? Is it necessary to have smart cover to use this feature?

Lol now it works.........actually the cover that I have is 360 degree rotating cover.that screen cover flap was supposed to be on left ,but I kept it on right.the I pad magnet was not lining up with the covers magnet. Breaking news: Targus versavu cover is compatible with the I pads cover lock feature.

Latest wordpress not working on OSX server 10.4

I have had wordpress running a theme called semiologic without problems for quite some time. However, I have been trying to update with the latest version of that theme which includes the latest version of wordpress and it will not work. I continually get errrors when trying to use it such as:

I cannot find the source of this problem. I am wondering if anyone has the current version of wordpress running on OSX server 10.4 and any suggestions what might cause this problem. Thanks in advance!!

Only 10.3.9 server here, sorry. But the WordPress v2.3.2 is running fine.
Have you attempted to switch to the default theme and see if it works? There may be an issue between that theme, the new WP, and possibly there were a couple of remnant files left behind when you upgraded that could be causing your problem.

Startup not working Mac OSX 10.6.4

Hey, im having trouble starting up my mac when i boot it up it gets to the Apple Logo and the whirly loading circle and then after a few minutes it just stops loading and freezes, but i can still heal the processor working.
About my Mac:
Imac about 2 years old, recently upgraded to 10.6.3 from leopard, and then downloaded the update to .4. My mac was recently fixed at an official apple store due to display issues as when i tried to boot up the screen wouldn't work, the mother board and almost all hardware was replaced at the store and when i got my mac back it was working fine.
When this issue started it was after me force shutting down my computer 3 times after the computer freezing after me opening the game World Of Warcraft, this game was working fine before i updated to .4
Side Notes:
I am able to boot into my winxp partition but the Nvidia geforce 8800 gs card doesn't seem to be working.
Things I've Tried:
Booting from disc - not working, gives me the kernal panic error
Safe mode boot - the bar gets around half way and stops, then the same thing happens as when i normally boot into osx
Fsck -fy - seems to do nothing except after 2 tries it says the "Ok"
resetting PRAM - not doing anything either
Not sure what else I should say. Any help appreciated, and ive already booked a appointment to visit the apple store with my mac in a few days.

Auto Lock not working when connected to Macbook

Ive had my ipod for about a week and I thought auto-lock was working even when the ipod is connected to my computer.
But I just realized that the auto-lock is not working when it is connected to the computer.
Is this normal?
Also when I set the brightness to the lowest setting, the screen slightly flickers intermittently.
Is this normal too?

Do you have more than one IDM Server running in your environment? When you are debugging a WF on server A and the scheduler decides (usually after an approval step) to continue running the WF on server B, your debugger connecting to server A wouldnt stop at the breakpoint.
Can you make the debugger stop on e.g. the "start" or very first Activity in your wf? Right after launching it from the form.
