  • ITunes 10.3 thinks it's a version below? No ping, locked out from iphone sync

Hi, my iTunes thinks it's a version below for some reason
I have 10.3 installed (Finder says so, iTunes > About says so) but when I try go into ping it gives me the "See what you're missing, upgrade to 10.3" message - I hadn't worried about this too much before but I just updated my iPhone to the OS 5 beta and now iTunes is not letting me sync at all leaving me with a fairly useless and unsyncable iPhone and crippled iTunes.
I have tried re-installing iTunes (Yes I even deleted all the preference files) I have tried iTunes on another account on my macbook and it gives the same error.
I actually do not know a single person that is able to access ping without getting some update error even though everyone is using the latest iTunes.
Please help, I need to sync my iPhone!
Here is a screenshot of the Ping message: http://cl.ly/470n472Q2C442b2k0w3Z

There is no easy way to get around the passcode lock feature. If this were easy to bypass, there wouldn't be much reason to have the feature in the first place.
You can power your iPhone off and on and/or reboot/restart the iPhone by doing an iPhone reset, but this won't get rid of the passcode lock or affect any data or settings. The only way to get rid of a passcode lock that you don't remember is by restoring the iPhone with iTunes.

  • I was recently locked out from my iPhone.

I was recently locked out from my iPhone. I dont want to wipe it totally though. Help?

The only methods are described in the this article.  Your data will be erased, but if you backed up your phone to either iCloud or iTunes, you can then restore the backup with your data.

  • I got locked out from my iPad mini during setup, keep ask me for passcode but I didn't set one up.  Reboot unsuccessful, iTune won't let me connect because I didn't enter my passcode. How to fix this?

I got locked out from my iPad mini during my initial setup.  Keep ask me for passcode but I haven't setup one.  Reboot and restart didn't solve the problem, tried connect to iTunes but it won't let me because it requires the passcode.  Tried my Exchanged password, Apple ID password and my iPhone passcode but none work.  Any idea to resolve this?

Try and force your iPad into Recovery Mode
    1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
    2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
    4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
    Note: Data will be lost.

  • Locked out from Apple ID

I couldn't answer a security question, and I was locked out from my Apple ID. It said I couldn't change my password for 8 hours nor could I make any purchases. Would my apple ID be returned to normal after the 8 hours, or am I permanently locked out from my Apple ID?

    Hi jjang_maya
Your Apple ID is not permanently disabled. You can contact AppleCare Support by phone for enabling your Apple ID and resetting your security questions / password.
    Kind regards

  • Have tried Apple password too many times now locked out of iPhone and ipad

I Have tried to put Apple password on too many times now I am locked out of iPhone and iPad how do I fix this

If you've disabled your iTunes account (is that what you mean ?) then you might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
You might then need to log out of your account on your devices by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on them.
If that doesn't fix it then contact iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

  • I got locked out from my old Iphone before i was done replacing it

how can I unlock my old Iphone?

What do you mean you got locked out of the old phone before replacing it? Are you referring to your passcode, or something else. Could you supply more information and reword your question to better identify what is wrong? What were you doing, what appeared on the screen, what did you do?

  • Account locked out from RD server when no session is open?

Windows 2008R2 DCs, two in one site, one in another
    Windows 2008 functional level
I've had two instances in the past week where users, several hours after changing their passwords, had their accounts locked out.  I used LockoutStatus to track down the DC where the event 4740/lockout happened, and then read the calling workstation
from there.  In both cases, the user didn't have any active or idle session on the remote desktop server where the lock was being generated.  I checked further with Process Explorer and I couldn't even find any processes running in their user context.
I would unlock the account, and in under a minute, there would be six bad password attempts (our GP setting) and the account would be locked out.  I could repeat this process indefinitely.
In both instances, when I rebooted the RD VM, the issue went away and didn't return.  In one case that was somewhat disruptive as it was an application server.  In the second case it was a domain controller and had no user impact.
I've seen this before when a user has an orphaned RD session idle for months, or with badly behaved applications, but this seeming dissociation from any active user process is really odd.
LockoutStatus always shows the lastPasswordSet timestamp in sync, replication occurs within fifteen minutes, and repadmin shows me both the expected topology and no errors.
I'm at a total loss.  What more can I check for?

    Hi,
    Do you have any updates?
Other than Remote Desktop sessions, please also check these things below:
Programs, services, schedule tasks, scripts, which could also store user credentials.

  • Got locked out of iPhone 4 my only option was to upgrade so I got iphone 5s but when I restore from backup that's recent from iCloud I don't get my game data and app data how do I get all my data back for games and apps?

I still have old phone is there a way to bypass 4 digit code my kid created it and locked me out but it's disabled says connect to iTunes but no access to computer just wifi. I have all my data still on it there's gotta be a way to over ride it or something far situations like this cause someone said iCloud don't save everything like app info just basic app info PLEASE IF ANYONE CAN HELP OUT???
I'd like my phone to have all data it had when I backed up to iCloud bought extra space and everything and still didn't get all my data from other phone and I made sure everything was checked on to be backed up

Thanks so much Meg. Unfortunately, iTunes is the program I use to perform syncing. I don't really have other outside options. It is also the location of the backup I would use to restore my phone, and my only way to reclaim important data. I am concerned that, since the last backup occurred when the "other" bar was only moderately huge (around 29G I think), that a backup would replicate the problem back onto my phone.
My contacts, etc. are all in address book and the calendar app on my Mac.  As far as I know, iTunes is the way to get them back, but iTunes is where the problem is.
    Any thoughts on this?

  • Locked out of iPhone. Can't update, access or save anything from my phone.

I was never able to access the cloud becuase of another problem where Apple seems to think I'm using an old email as my apple id. (i'm using gmail these days, and the old email- the one I don't use anymore was for comcast) and I kept getting alerts whenever I tried to use it: texting, net surfing, apps- would be interrupted. The message was of the old email address, and then it would ask for my password. I use the new email for buying things on itunes and what-not, so I would just ignore the alerts involving the comcast email.
To sign into the cloud, it ALWAYS wanted to use my comcast email. So I couldn't get into the cloud. So I was never able to back up my iphone/ save my pictures and videos.
The new update has been out for a few weeks now and I finally get around to updating my phone. (plug my phone into my macbook, itunes up and running) It gets through all the other processes pretty normal. Then a popup on my computer says that it cannot finish the update because of a lack of space. I delete a few albums, make space and try again. Now the screen- when not turned off- is stuck with an icon of the itunes note, and the image of the cord indicating that it is plugged in I suppose. My itunes on my computer is giving me only one option: Restore iPhone. (There's another button that says 'Check for update' but it's not clickable) It also tells me that my software is up to date.
Still, I can't do anything with the phone. Nobody can call me either, it goes straight to voicemail. Aside from deleting everything I've ever had for two years on that phone, HOW do I just use my phone?
Also: I was able to access and start up iCloud account AFTER all of this went down. Previously, because I couldn't get into it, I just didn't bother with it. When I asked a friend for help, they were able to set all that up for me, but the problem with the phone remains, so even though it's finally up and running, I can't access my photos etc to stream.
