Lock Photo app lost all my photo's. Can I get them back?

I had an app that was supposed to keep some of my photo's/video's private per password (LockPhoto HD). It worked fine until the last update. I went in to view a photo and all I have left are empty folders. The folders are still named, but my photo's are gone.
There is no way to contact the software developer or Costani about this app. This has happened to others, too, as the reviews of the app indicate. I have followed the app troubleshooting tips in Support, but nothing.
Is there a way to get my photo's back? How can I contact the developer/company to ask for a fix? Thanks for any help.

There's pretty much nothing anyone here can do for you. It's up to the app developer to support their product.

Thanks, but I checked iCloud and it has none of them.
If it backed up to my laptop, that died and I just got the new computer. The one that's crashed won't even boot, so there's no way to even tell if it was syncing the contacts along with all the phone photos. Literally happened at the same time - it was because I had the new computer that I was finally able to pull the photos off the phone and make room for the upgrade. It had refused to upgrade for lack of space for some time.
I had thought it was set to sync to iCloud but it vanished from BOTH my phone and the cloud. That's why I'm so angry about it.

I started using my new iphone 5c before syncing to iCloud and have lost all my messages. Can I get them back? Should I have registered the phone as 'new iphone'?

i got my new iphone a week ago. i started using it straight away, before i knew about icloud and that i could sync all my contacts, etc to the new phone. i then turned on icloud for contacts - this worked fine. today i tried putting my music onto my phone. i clicked 'recognise a B's iphone' in itunes - this has synced music and apps. the only problem is that i have lost all my text messages from the last week. the phone is showing old messages from december 2012 only! can i delete these and get my recent messages back??

You did more than sync the new iPhone with iTunes since syncing with iTunes does not include text messages.
The first time a new iPhone is connected to iTunes that is used to sync with another iPhone or iOS device, you are prompted to transfer the backup for the other iPhone or iOS device or set up the device as a new iPhone.
The former replaces all data on the iPhone that is included with the selected backup for the other iPhone or iOS device. The latter does not.
If a backup for your new iPhone was not created with iCloud or if created and has been updated since the backup was transferred from the other iPhone or iOS device, the previous data on the new iPhone is gone.

Lost all my notes - how can I get them back

So after getting frustrated with my notes duplicating on my mac (and only on mac) I searched on here to get it to stop and came across this solution:
entering 'rm -rf ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Notes.' into terminal - I tried this and it didn't work, the second time I did it, I accidentally left of the full stop at the end and that made the duplicating stop, but it also got rid of all my notes.
Is there a way I can get my notes back via terminal? (and not by using time machine etc)

If they were not on the cloud, then no, there is no way back from that without a backup or file recovery software.
You deleted the folder that holds all the notes. Remove (rm) deletes the files immediately.

Why did you restore without transferring your music to your computer?
If you are in the U.S., then you can use the newly released beta version of the cloud to get your music.

When an iPhone updates, it wipes the whole device clean and then reinstalls the software and then the backup. Obviously you didn't create/couldn't create a backup either via iCloud or iTunes. You can get your apps back when you go to App Store>Updates>Purchased and download the apps you want.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?

You calendar info should also be mirrored on your computer. Use the option to replace all events on the iPod with the info on your computer during the next sync. You can find this option in the info pane, Advanced section.

you are responsible for reinstalling any apps. It is not Apples responsibility as outline the the service agreement. Do you have the product key?
