Lock screen no longer works on iOS 8.0.2

Updated to iOS 8.0.2 Now my ipad2 never goes to lock screen after 2 mins, or when I close the cover. "Genius bar tech" seems to think that the functionality has been removed. So when you close the cover tye screen stays on what ever app you were using. I do not use a passcode. Any thoughts or solutions. I liked the pad going to the lock screen. The update is a POS. Never had a single problem from 7.1.2

I bought my iPhone 5C in Kuwait but there isn't any Factime option on my iPhone. But on my iPhone 5, I have Factime.

Music buttons on the lock screen no longer work with ios7.

on my 4S, when ios 7 was loaded, bluetooth music play buttons and the music buttons on the lock screen no longer work. Hence, I can neither use the music buttons at the lock screen nor can I use the control on my car (bluetooth...) to change songs. Volume adjust at the lock screen appears to work. Can't pause/play or move to the next/prior music.

However, some onther users have reported the same problem so it it may be a bug in iOS
I did the RESET DEVICE only to mine (i.e., did not reset all settings...) and it did work to fix the buttons (haven't tested on the car, but it'll likely be OK now...). Certainly there is a bug somewhere that needs fixed...

Camera shortcut on lock screen no longer works

Hello everyone,
Shortly after I upgraded my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.1, the camera shortcut on my home screen stopped working. The camera icon appears even if I single click the home button, but whether I single click or double click the home button, touching the camera icon simply makes the screen bounce in rejection.
I have removed the passcode on my phone only to get the same effect.
Anyone know what gives?

HT1430 how can i restart it if my lock screen button doesnt work?

my ipod 4th generation 's screen turned completely white an hour ago and it hasnt gone back to normal. so i looked on google & it told me to reser it by holding the lock screen & home button for 10 seconds. but my lock screen button hasnt worked since about 6 months ago. is there anyway i could reset it without using the lock button? or anyway to get the white screen off at all??

My lock button no longer works on my ipod touch and now i have all kinds of problems with it freezing and kicking me out of apps. Is there any way to get this fixed and were would i go to get it fixed?

I have an ipod touch 4th gen. and since the last update the lock button no longer works, this has caused it to have a lot of problems now like freezing all the time, kicking me out of almost all my apps, some times even when if locks on its own its not locked and buttons with be pushed in my pocket, and this causes the battiery to die fast. I really love my ipod and would like to just get it fix if possible for a reasonable about of money. Well, I for one really hate when they change this stuff. They get us used to doing it one way for years and then they change it. Why? Really, seriously, truly......WHY?
In fact, I originally noticed it had changed and then when I'd hit it, I thought it required me to touch both so I ended up with an apostrophe but then also a letter "l". I just left commas everywhere I went for a while cuz it ticked me off so bad I just rebelled.
In ios5 it was actually faster because it's the same move and time involved, but without the extra "slide". So, in essence, Apple went backwards.

My results differ from yours.
With iOS 4.0x, 4.1 and 4.2x my smart playlists with live updating were broken. It would start with track 1 of 5, then 2 of 4, then 3 of 3, 4 of 2, then would generally crash the iPod app. If I left the playlist and re-entered it would have removed the entries already played, but I would find that some of the entries that should have played had actually been skipped in m playlist.
With iOS 4.3, my playlists are properly working for me again. Now they play 1 of 5, 2 of 5, 3 of 5, ... If I return to the playlist while it is playing, I see that the entries that have already played are removed, and if I leave the playlist to return later, it starts over a 1 of 2, 2 of 2...
I have posted another thread of how I have my playlists defined, so perhaps that would help you. I do recall that there were some conditions that used to cause problems if used in a smart playlist.

The app store no longer works since iOS 5.1 update?

Ever since I did the most recent iOS Update for my iPod Touch 4G (purchased Dec 2010), the app store no longer works. I know for a fact it is NOT a billing problem with missmatched security code on my credit card. I had that before and resolved it.
This time, it seems that when I download an update to an app or a new app, it starts to download and then says "Waiting..." but in eternity. The download doesn't commence. I already tried resetting the network, powering off and on, deleting the apps and readding them as new and using different WiFi networks (FOUR) to make sure that wasn't the issue. Nothing seems to fix this.
Any suggestions?

Just put you finger on the camera and drag it up and Lock screen will shift up.
