Lock screen wallpaper problem

Hello,
I've got a problem with setting lock screen wallpaper.
Every time I go to settings --> personalize --> lock screen wallpaper and click on it, choose Xperia wallpaper or any other from the album, then it allows me to "cut" it, and as only I am trying to save it it shows me the message "unable to set wallpaper"
Any ideas?
Tried to restart the phone but still I've got this issue, very annoying.

No matter with or without the pattern as I only try to cut the picture and set it as wallpaper the result is always the same, you can see it on the screen below:
It says: "It is not possible to set wallpaper"

  • The iPhone update 8.3 (12F70) is making my home screen wallpapers darker than the picture itself. Even if I set the same picture as home and lock screen wallpaper, the home screen image is noticeably darker. How can I change this?

Is anyone else noticing the same issue?
I'm really unhappy with the upgrade, the darker home screen images alters the coloring and detracts from the overall "light" feeling.

Apparently it's been an issue since 7.1, according to this: http://forums.imore.com/ask-question/282076-black-tint-across-top-my-lock-screen -wallpaper.html
The iPhone 6 is my first iPhone so I've never used iOS 7 before. Can anybody who has provide more info on this?

  • Why is my lock screen wallpaper out of focus

All of a sudden, my lock screen wallpaper photo is out of focus.  I changed it, and the same thing is happening to the new photo.  What's going on?

I am confused what device you are talking about. You question is here in the Using iPhone section, but it is marked for your MacBook Pro running iOS 6? If you are talking about an iPhone and you never update your profile to say you are running iOS 7, I would blame the paralax feature that slightly zooms into your picture, making certain low-res photos look extra blurry. Hope this helps.

  • Lock screen wallpaper does not appear in the lock screen

I just reset my iphone 4 running iOS5 and set it up as a new iPhone.    Everything appeared fine until I noticed the Lock Screen wallpaper I assigned does not appear after I lock it.   The home screen wallpaper does.    I hope someone can tell me how to fix this.

Settings -->  Wallpaper --> (select whichever image or photo you want to use) --> Set, choose Lock Screen, Home Screen, or Both

  • Cannot change lock screen wallpaper after 4.4.2 update to Xperia Z1

So I updated via PCC to 4.4.2 (14.3.A.0.681) and now the lock screen wallpaper is stuck to the "Air" theme wallpaper. Regardless of theme change or attempting to select custom wallapaper, the lock screen wallpaper does not change. I've tried going through the settings menu, the Album app, and the Photos app, but none of them can change the wallpaper. I've tried clearing all data from the lock screen app, force-stopping it, but no luck. Multiple restarts do not help.

  • Lock Screen wallpaper gone after 6.1.1 upgrade.

Lock Screen wallpaper gone after 6.1.1 upgrade.  I tried resetting wallpaper and rebooting, but lock screen stays at default black background with battery.  Anyone else notice this?

That's what happens when you are charging. Is your iPhone plugeed in?

  • Why is the lock screen wallpaper in my iPad Mini blurry

When the iPad Mini has been off for awhile, when you open the case the lock screen shows but the wallpaper background is blurry.  If I look at the wallpaper setting in Settings, I can view the picture as a wallpaper and it's clear (not fuzzy or blurry).  The only time it's blurry is when the lock screen is on.  Any ideas on why this happens or how to change it?

The lock screen covers the wallpaper. The lock screen is slightly transparent causing a blurred view of the screen beneath. In this case the the screen beneath is your wallpaper. The blurred view is normal.

  • Delete Lock Screen Wallpaper/ Using Customize To Change Slider Icons

So, though it may sound a bit silly, i've had different wallpapers display on my lock screen for some time now, but i've found that i have absolutley no idea how to take it off. i'd simply like to revert back the the battery image on the lock screen, no wallpaper at all. i've gone through settings, and looked for a "No Wallpaper" option, but there is none to be found.
Also, I've been trying to figure out how to add new images for the slider buttons, as well as the other options that are allowed with customize, can these be found in the Installer.app? i havent seen such things, unless there are sources that i havent found yet.
help would be much appriciated, thanks!

    Hey Alan,
To change the Wallpaper goto Settings>Wallpaper. The earth is the default image.
There is no option to change the slider icons.
You can request that feature online here:

  • Lock Screen Background Problem on Nokia Icon

    Hi Everyone,
I have been having this pretty annoying problem with my Nokia Lumia Icon device. Whenever I try to change my Lock Screen BG to a photo (a saved photo in one of my photo albums) it seems to be working at first and the crop menu functions correctly, but then when I go to check the Lock screen, the photo it is one of the Nokia BG stock photos (not the photo I had selected).
I did some research to try and fix this problem myself. I have made sure that my High Contrast is off, restarted my phone several times, and am on the verge of just resenting the whole darn thing to see if it fixes the problem. The odd thing is that it started out working perfectly. I remember changing my lock screen BG several times when I first got the phone and I do know how to preform the task at hand...
I am resorting to making this thread to get some ideas, and if anyone has any input what could be wrong and how to fix it, I would love some help.
    Thank you!

    Hi, thehorizonriots.
Welcome to the Nokia Support Discussions!
Have you tried to do a hardware reset on your phone? This basic fix will not delete any of your personal data from your phone, but you will be needing to set the date and time again in Settings> Date+settings. To do the fix, press and hold the power and volume down keys simultaneously for 10-15 seconds. Release the keys when the phone vibrates and let the phone restart. After this, try to set a lockcreen background photo again and see if there's any changes.
By the way, to have the latest stability and usability improvements on your phone, make sure that it has the most recent software and system apps update. While phone is connected to internet (preferably Wi-Fi), go to Settings> Phone update> Check for Updates. For your system apps, go here: http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Pool-of-Knowledge/Nokia-Windows-Phone-8-App-Updates/td-p/1640082.

  • Lock screen window problems

I have a problem with the lock screen when waking up from sleep. The window it shows is no longer the default one instead it looks like just a generic window with a password field, not the default. is there anyway to reset it?

Yes it works. Thanks sasra51000. If anyone else is having trouble with this problem:
    1. Do a complete backup of your computer
    2. Shutdown your computer
    3. Turn the computer on and hold down Command + R while your computer boots up
    4. Choose your language and select reinstall mountain lion (most likely be the same steps for older or newer versions of OS X)
    5. Let the download complete (it could take a while) and your computer will restart and everything should be fixed

  • Lock Screen Wallpaper black only

I looked for an answer here sorry if I missed it.
I have a new phone (no desire to jailbreak). I found that once I changed the lock screen (very first one with slide lever), it never displayed anything but black after that. I restored the phone to factory new phone (without my photos or settings). The raindrops wallpaper came back to the lock screen. Like new!!
So I synched only a half dozen wallpapers and set one, lock screen goes black. I set wallpaper manually back to raindrops and remove my downloaded wallpapers. Rebooted phone...still no change and black lock screen back, raindrops displays in thumbnail but (first) lockscreen is black.
What is it about changing the lockscreen that is making it black only from then on.

Thank you for posting this. I thought I was going nuts.
I had my iPhone plugged in to charge in my car,
and could see only the black background in lock-
screen. Unplugged it and photo reappeared!

  • Why can't I change the lock screen wallpaper on my new iPhone 3GS

I went to Settings > Wallpaper > Wallpaper, selected a pic and tapped 'Set', but the background is still black! My phone isn't jailbroken btw.
    Thanks,
    Zoe

Same problem here with a 3G. It used to work. Stopped working in 3.1, I updated 4.1, still not working. It's always black (no wallpaper available).
Prior to iOS 4 there was no way to change the background wallpaper, it was black.
Only the 3GS and 4 allow changing the background wallpaper. The fact that you cannot change it on a 3G is not a bug, it is simply the way it is.

  • Ios7 lock screen blurs out my ICE contact info on my wallpaper

if there are notifications pending (such as txts or unread emails).  This is a problem if I am in an accident and I have a PIN setup on my phone. No one will be able to see who to contact without access to my phone.
On ios6, when you got new emails, you would still be able to see your lock screen wallpaper and any info on it.
I think with ios7, by blurring out the wallpaper it could be dangerous or a hazard if a users wallpaper has important info but a bystander wont be able to see it.

keep hearing a lot of people noting their lockscreen blurring issue is mostly due to notificaitons. But, if so, this is the easiest to fix, because you DO NOT have to display notifcations on the lockscreen. I believe there is an option that you can toggle ON/OFF, for displaying on the lockscreen.
not sure if this will handle EVERYTHING that might blur the lockscreen; but think you can keep any notifications from displaying there.
just set all of your apps to "DO NOT INCLUDE" in notifications.
having said that, I am NOT sure how important it is for you to get notifications; but, if your health is the issue, I would think it would be more important to display your lockscreen image than to get notifications. You might be able to simply use option to remove from the lockscreen; but still get them in the notifications swipe down.
    hope this helps!

  • Wallpaper on iPhone 5 Lock Screen won't stay

I upgraded my iPhone 4S to a new iPhone 5 a couple of days ago and noticed that the lock screen wallpaper I had on the 4S did not transfer. I assumed it was because the image I had used was no longer in my photo roll and changed it to something else. The iPhone will only actually show the lock screen wallpaper on a random basis, however; most of the time there is nothing displayed. This is true whether I choose a stock image or something from my camera roll. The normal app background wallpaper is unaffected and shows exactly as expected.
Is anyone else seeing this sort of annoying behavior?
Never mind. I didn't think about the fact that, when charging, it only displays the battery charging image.
