Locked out from my icloud account

I had apple id and was using the same to access icloud account. Few months back I changed primary e mail address and my previous apple id email login was set in the email adresses of account. Now after installing new operating system it is not accepting new apple id e mail and asking for password of previous appleid. Please advise if anyone knows what can be done

Here ya go:
Rescue email address
A rescue address helps secure your Apple ID account against unauthorized access by someone who gains control of your primary address. If you have a rescue address, it receives all security-related Apple ID email instead of your primary address, including the email needed to reset your password or security questions.
Go to My Apple ID (appleid.apple.com).
Select “Manage your Apple ID” and sign in.
Select “Password and Security” on the left side of the page. You may be asked to answer one or more security questions before continuing. Forgot the answers?
If you see a list of three security questions, your account has the option to use a rescue address.
Accounts that have fewer than three questions don't have and don't need a rescue address.
Accounts that use two-step verification don't have and don't need a rescue address or security questions.
Add a rescue address:
Select Add Email Address, then enter your rescue address. Apple will send a verification email to that address. Didn't receive the email?
Follow the instructions in the email to verify the address. If you don't verify the address, security-related email continues to go to your primary address.
Edit a rescue address:
Select Edit next to the address, then enter the new address. Apple will send a verification email to that address. Didn't receive the email?
Follow the instructions in the email to verify the address. If you don't verify the address, security-related email continues to go to your primary address.
Delete a rescue address: Select Delete next to the address.
Cheers,
GB

  • TS4006 My Apple iPod Touch 4th Generation was stolen if the thief signed out of my iCloud account on the device will it go away on the web map on my computer and keep me from locking it remotely?

My Apple iPod Touch 4th Generation was stolen if the thief signed out of my iCloud account on the device will it go away on the web map on my computer and keep me from locking it remotely? I was asking my grandmother who works in apple tech support at at&t but she didnt know. so im hoping somebody will come by and say yes to my question because my iPod touch is still appearing in my iCloud.com account.

Yes. If it was signed out from iCloud, it will disappear from the Devices list in Find my iPhone.

I Bought an iphone from someone out of the paper and they didn't log out of their icloud account.
im not too sure how to fix this problem considering I cannot get in contact with them.
so if someone could help me I would really appreciate it.

If they left an activation lock on the device, you can't fix it but may be able to get a refund for the iPhone.

  • How can I sign out of my iCloud account from a macbook I no longer have access to?

I got a new macbook recently and neglected to sign out of my iCloud account on the old macbook before I erased and reset it.  Now eveytime I open a new Safari page on my iPhone, both macbooks show up with the Safari windows that are still "open".  I want to remove my old mac from my iCloud account and have removed it from Find My iPhone but the Safari link still shows up.  This is driving me bonkers.

If you mean the iCloud tabs for your old Mac, these will normally be cleared after 14 days.  Give it a couple of weeks and see if they don't disappear on their own.
    From http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5372:
"If you no longer have access to the device that shared the tab, the tab will automatically be cleared from the list after 14 days, if the tab is not updated."
Also, seeing the iCloud tab doesn't mean it's still signed into your account.  It just means that the tab hasn't been cleared yet.  If you completely erased it should no longer be signed into your account.

  • HT201441 i bought a ipad2 from a guy who got it rom someone else and the original guy never unlinked it from his icloud account what do i do

I bought a ipad2 from a guy who bought it from someone else and the original owner never signed out of his icloud account and not it is locked is there a way i can reset it to my account?

Return it and get your money back.  Unless you can contact the original owner and get them to remove it from their account you will not be able to activate it and use it.  There is no way around this.

  • How can I remove my traded-in phone from my iCloud account?

I sent my old iPhone back to Verizon as part of a trade-in agreement for a new phone. I followed their instructions for removing "Find my phone" from my old phone before trading it in.
Now, when I log into iCloud I still see my old traded-in phone in addition to my current phone. How can I remove my old phone from my account? Why didn't that happen when I set my old phone to wipe all content before I traded it in?
    Thanks,
    Will

You would think that erasing the old phone and removing it from your iCloud account would have removed it from your account settings on icloud.com but apparently that's not the case.  The only way to have done that would have been to sign out of your iCloud account first, which you obviously can't do at this point.
Although I can't confirm this, one user said that they were told by Apple support that the old phone will automatically be removed when the old phone is signed into another iCloud account.  There's nothing else you can do at this point.

  • My iPhone is locked to ex's iCloud account (but to my credit card!). I don't have the password. How can I change it to my new iCloud account?

My iPhone 4S (iOS8) is locked to ex's iCloud account (but to my credit card!). I don't have the password. How can I change it to my new iCloud account?
My phone shows my name plus iCloud old iCloud account. My kids' new iPads show my name plus my new iCloud account. But both accounts show my children as "family" associated with them.
Basically, I need to change the iCloud account on my phone to my new one. But I'm not given that option.
    Help and thanks.

Hi and thanks. The password on the old iCloud account doesn't work and my ex-husband says he doesn't know what it is -- and that he's not getting emails to reset the password. I tried using the rescue questions and even the birthdate isn't working. I think he's changed it to keep me out, but it's charging my credit card account.

  • How do I delete an email address from my icloud account as I am no longer friends with this man

    Hi,
How do I remove an email address from my icloud account as I am no longer friends with this man and every time i type an s his email address comes up - I want this to stop

If you haven't already removed the email address from your contacts in cloud, you may want to start there.  If that doesn't work, then you may be out of luck.  Unfortunately, smartphones remember things we don't want them to :-(

  • Removing a device from my iCloud account

How do I remove my iPhone 4S from my iCloud account. I now have an iPhone 6+ and it lists both phones. Managing my account doesn't allow for this action.

Remove it from where exactly ?
If its backup then you should be able to do it in a device via Settings > General > Storage > Manage Storage > 'device'
If you want to want to log it out of your iCloud account then you can do it directly on the device > Settings > iCloud > Sign Out (or Delete Account depending upon its iOS version). Or if you have Find My iPhone enabled on it then you can log into your account in http://www.icloud.com and send a remote wipe message to the phone to put remove all content from it

  • I dragged my notes from one iCloud account to another iCloud account and they disappeared.  How do I find them?

    Hello reallilybart,
Thank you for the question. You can export the calendar events from your previous iCloud account and then import them into your new iCloud account.
First, use these steps to export your events from your original account and make note of where you save the file to:
    Export a calendar’s events
In Calendar, click the calendar’s name.If you don’t see your calendars, click Calendars.
Choose File > Export > Export.
Choose a location for the file, and then click Export. The events are exported in an iCalendar (.ics) file.
Next, quit the Calendar application, and log out of your original iCloud account in System Preferences > iCloud.  Then log in with your new iCloud account and open Calendar.  The final step is to import the file into the calendar for your new iCloud account
Use these steps to import the calendar events:
    Import events into a calendar
If you want, create a new calendar for the events.Add or delete a calendar
Choose File > Import > Import.
Locate and select the calendar file that contains the events, and then click Import.
Choose the calendar you created or another calendar to add the events to.
You can also drag a .ics file to Calendar. The events in the file are added to the calendar that’s highlighted in the Calendar list.

  • How to remove the old email address that was hacked from my iCloud account when iCloud won't let me?

How to remove the old email address that was hacked from my iCloud account when iCloud won't let me?
Pretty much the the email that I used (but didn't verify) to create my iCloud account was hacked and now I can't remove it from my iCloud account due to the iCloud password also being changed by the same person and the fact I had "Find my iPhone" app on my phone also??? I had to change my iTunes email as well but that was far easier so yeah :S.
Please help. I live in NZ, out in the country, so reception is rare and so is getting into the nearest town that has an Apple Store.
    Thanks

If you truly change your existing Apple ID's email address to a new email address, follow these instructions: iOS 7: If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud
If you created a whole new Apple Account because you couldn't access the old one after being hacked, you will need to contact the Apple Account Security Team. Apple ID: Contacting Apple for help with Apple ID account security

Take your original proof of purchase from an Apple authorized retailer (or Apple Store) and the police report, make a Genius Bar appointment at your nearest Apple Store and they should be able to help you.
