Locked out of my Itouch and no longer have the main sync computer

I lost my itouch a few months ago and recently found it under my couch while cleaning. I forgot my passcode. From what I have researched I need to have the main computer I sync it from to restore my itouch. Unfortunately I no longer have that computer. How can I restore my itouch with a computer it has never been synced to before? Thanks

Place the iPod in Recovery mode and restoe via iTunes. You will have to restore to factory defaults/new iPod since I do not think you have a backup.

Purchases are locked to the account that purchased them. Thus first try to recovery use of the original account.

Go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address (you shouldn't need to verify the old account). You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

This is actually based on how the site handles different file types; Hotmail gives it to the browser as "application/octet-stream" or something like it, whereas sites that properly open it in the browser tag it as "application/pdf". Unfortunately there's nothing you can do about this without setting up a proxy to rewrite the HTTP headers. You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

HT204053 I changed my internet service provider and no longer have the email that is the user name for my apple id. Is this just anecdotal, or is it going to cause me problems in the future? I no longer receive any of the mail sent to that address.

At first I thought I had to change the user name on my apple id, but I guess that is not possible. If I want my apple id to be linked to my current email address which is a gmail, I guess I am basically creating a new apple id, with all the complications that brings, right?

Roger, thank you. I wish I had sent out this question a month ago, when I committed the folly of creating another apple id with my alternate email address. Since then, I had realized that I didn't seem to need it, hence today's post.
So now what do I do? Is there anyway to delete that unecessary apple id?
And it is even worse than that...the secondary address listed currently in our apple id is a mobile me one that my husband created, but never uses, never checks, and probably doesn't even remember the password for.

Deleted Garageband off my 2007 iMac Intel and no longer have the original reinstallation disk and I don't wan't to buy Garageband again. Is there any way to get it back for free?
