Locked projects in imovie

Question

I get the following message when I try to open imovie:
"The project could not be opened, because the folderis locked or the folder permission are incorrect."
This happens with all the projects I create. Even when i go into the info of the project and change it if it is locked and make sure all the access is Read & Write in every heading under Ownerships & Permissions.
How can i change this so i can actually access my projects after saving them?

"There's an iMovie bug that causes iMovie to think you don't have permission to access the project folder. The solution is to create a new project folder in the Finder -- by choosing the Finder's "New Folder" command. Like this:
1. Create a new folder anywhere OTHER THAN inside the old project folder. Name the new folder "Replacement" or something.
2. Create a new folder inside the Replacement folder. Name it "Media".
3. Open the Media folder of the iMovie project. Choose Edit>Select All.
4. Option-drag all the selected files (hold Option key down while dragging) to the new Media folder. That creates a duplicate of the files instead of moving them. (I'm assuming there is sufficient disk space to duplicate them. If not, simply drag them instead of Option-dragging.)
