  • TS1569 Brand new wireless aluminum keyboard will not accept passcode

.......... to pair with brand new macbook air. Apple Care support can't figure this out. Just tried a second, identical keyboard in two days. Same issue. First keyboard worked flawlessly with mid 2010 macbook pro. I'm ******!

I just does not accept that it should be nessecarry to use a usb keyboard when buying a brand new mac!
And luckily I managed to solve this in the end
My setup was is with a keyboard that was previously paired worth my MBP, and I tried a lot of things, but what did it in the end was this:
First I unpaired the keyboard from the MBP using http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1809?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US. Only, this time I ignored the first step which reads: "Press and release the On/Off switch on the wireless keyboard to turn it off." Thinking of it, how would the the keyboard know that it is unpaired, if it is turned off?
The 2 thing I did differently this time was that I did not power on the keyboard until it actually said so on the screen. This means that I powered on the Mini, waited until I had selected the language using the Trackpad, waited until the "Connect Keyboard" dialog appeared on the screen. Then I turned on the keyboard in pairing mode...
That's basically what I did to be successful! Hope it will help somebody else

  • I did a hard reset to fix a frozen app. Now the number lock comes up straight away and will not accept my number. Was there ever a default number. Any help apreciated Alan.

I did use the number lock then i did a gard reset to resolve a frozen app. Now the number lock will not accept my number. Is there a default number, or can I somehow disable the number lock?

There is no default passcode that will unlock your iPad.
You have to restore the device within iTunes. You want to use the same computer that you always sync with so that you can restore your app data and settings. You can restore with any other computer, but you will lose everything on the iPad.
You will probably have to use recovery mode

  • HT4097 I did a reset on my iPad now it will not accept my pass ode and I'm locked out what can I do

I did a restore on my iPad I was trying to take a screen shot but did something wrong I was following a manual app anyway it turned out I preformed a reset by pushing the off button and front control button together as a result it re set it self and now it won't accept my passcode and I'm locked out what can I do can't get to apple shop as on holiday in austria

If you can't unlock the device because it will not accept the passcode, there is only one thing you can do.
You have to restore the device within iTunes. You want to use the same computer that you always sync with so that you can restore your app data and settings. You can restore with any other computer, but you will lose everything on the iPad.
    Instructions can be found here.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1212
You may have to use recovery mode if that didn't work.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4097
BUT .... Just for the heck of it, reboot the device before you resort to restoring and see if ithe passcode will work.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

  • HT201210 After updating iPhone 4S to iOS 7, the lock screen will not accept my password.

After updating my iPhone 4S to iOS 7, the lock screen will not accept my password and I am locked out of my phone. Anyone else seeing this? What can I do to fix this?

    Hello kennyred,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at:
iOS: Forgotten passcode or device disabled after entering wrong passcode
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1212
Connect the device to the computer with which you normally sync and open iTunes.
Note: If iTunes asks you to enter the passcode, try another computer that you have synced with. Otherwise, go to "If you have never synced your device with iTunes, or you do not have access to a computer" section below.
If the device is still disabled, or if iTunes does not automatically sync your device, sync the device with iTunes.
If you have chosen to encrypt your backup, it will contain the passcode. Disable backup encryption before restoring from backup. Learn more about iOS backups in iTunes.
When the backup and sync is complete, select Restore from Backup and choose the most recent backup of your device.
    Best of luck,
    Mario

  • After installing iOS 5, my ipad 2 will not accept my access code and has locked me out

after installing iOS 5, my ipad 2 will not accept my access code and has locked me out.  Any ideas?

I don't know if your symptoms are the same as mine, but my problem is the same. Specifically:
My update seemed to go fine, but I noticed that items in Notification Center were not current or missing, as compared to the iPhone. Also, when iTunes saw the iPad without it being connected by cable, the portion of the iTunes screen that displayed the OS status was blank, and it told me that I had to connect physically to update. When I did, iTunes confirmed that iOS 5 was indeed installed and current.
With this, I decided to shut down the iPad completely, and restart it. When it came back up, the lock screen had changed. I now get a full keyboard (not just a number pad). When I attempt to enter my 4-digit passcode (and I know I'm entering the correctone), the iPad won't take it. Now it's completely locked and I can't access it.
The odd thing is the way the screen changed to display a full keyboard on the lock screen. This didn't happen to the iPhone.
All devices are running the current versions of everything.

  • My phone seems to be locked and will not accept a password to go any further

can anyone help my phone seems to be locked and cannot get out of an iphone screen which asks to configure but will not accept the password i have renewed the password but can go no further

Do you mean the lock screen password? If you don't remember it, you will need to restore the phone using the computer it normally syncs with. There is no magic way to get around a forgotten passcode.

I am unable to access settings of course so I just do not know what to do. Can someone more ipad litereate than I help me.

  • My Aple ID is locked.  When I try to change it will not accept my birthday.  Any ideas?

My email changed and I changed my Apple ID to the new one.  Apparently I still have the old one and cannot remember the password so I am locked out.  When I tried to reset my password it asks for my birthday, but will not accept what I put in.  It says Apple cannot verify the information.  Any ideas on how to go on to reset?

Did you try to get in contact with Apple ID Support directly?

  • After downloading 5.0 , it will not accept my password

After downloading update 5.0 The i-pod will not accept my password. Is there a standard password?

No.  There is no standard/defaults passcode.  I assume you are talking abut the lock-screen passcode. If so, just restore the iPod from backup. If iTunes asks for a passcode and you can't enter the passcode, place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore. For recovery mode:

  • "Flash out of date" comes up, new install, and will not accept Password for install?  Next step?

"Flash out of date" comes up, i do a new install, the log-in and password windows pops up, I type in password and it will not accept.
I have changed password, confirmed password, rebooted several times, and it still will not re-insall new version.
    I am stuck.
    HELP!

This password prompt is presented by your operating system, and is intended to keep you from accidentally installing software.
If this is your personal machine and you don't need a password to log into the computer when it first starts up, you can probably leave the password blank and click OK to get past this prompt.  If this is your personal machine and your normal password isn't working, check to make sure that CAPS LOCK is off, and type the password carefully.
If this is your work machine and it's asking for an Administrator password, well, you'll need to have a conversation with your friendly IT person.
If you're still stumped, you may need to reset the password on your Mac:
